Merge a hierachy in BW when it is uploaded from 2 source systems

Question

Hello everybody,
I want to upload the same hierarchy from 2 different source systems and I want to merge both hierarchies in 1 hierarchy in BW.
I will explain a bit more:
In system A there exist a hierarchy on 0cust_sales and in system B the same hierarchy exist for 0cust_sales. We can be sure that in system A the hierarchy that exists there is the main hierarchy.

I already tried to upload it with the option insert hierarchy but BW just overwrites the hierarchy always.
I started to write an abap but then I also have to maintain the SID tables also and that seamed to me a bit too tricky.
Does somebody did this before or does somebody have idea¡¦s to solve this problem. My last resort is downloading both hierarchies in flatfiles and trying to merge then in the flatfiles.

Hi Jeroen,
We have had this issue and we solved it in two ways .
If the nodes are different from the earlier hierarchy A, then you can insert the second hierachy as a node of the first one. In the infopackage, rename the hierarchy to the same name and set the radio button as update node.
If the nodes have to be reshuffled, only in that case will you need to download them, realign and then upload them.
