Message about uncommitted changes in advanced search

If the advanced search option is used, and one or more fields are filled in, and the search button is clicked, then a message occurs: "The page you are about to leave has uncommitted changes ...".

You can register items that should be ignored for this uncommitted changes message using the following javascript call:
<script text="addToIgnoreChangedFields(['<item1>','<item2>']);"/>
For example:
<script text="addToIgnoreChangedFields(['FindDepartmentsDepartmentId','FindDepartmentsDepartmentName','FindDepartmentsManagerId','FindDepartmentsLocationId','FindDepartmentsManagerName','FindDepartmentsEmployeeId',]);"/>
So, make sure that all items in the find region are added to the ignore list through this javascript call.

Constanr error messages re incorrect # when doing advanced search

Every time I try to do an advanced search for a member I get the error message number is incorrect. I have tried it over and over with various ID's Anyone else see this issue. And yes, numbers are typed correctly

I have never had the issue before. I will try listening and then typing. Is this another glitch, bug, or an attempt to not be able to search any more for Ebay ID's?

Change in Advanced Search

Hi Experts,
In CRM 2007, for any search, three columns appear.
1. For Search Criteria
2. For the Operator (Is, isnot, contains) &
3. For the Search Value
The requirement is to hide the middle column- the relation calumn.
Through configuration, I could set the default operator but am not able to hide it.
How can I hide the operator column?

Hi Experts,
The requirement has come up as only because the search is made with operator "is", "Contains" or "Starts with". No other operator is required in the client scenario.
Now operator "Contains" & "Start with" can be avoided with wild card characters. For example If I have to search for Name starting with K, I can use Name "is" K*.
Hence eventually, if I make the default operator as "is", I need not have to show it as it works for "is", "Contains" and "Start with" . Hence is the requirement to hide the middle operator column.
If any one find a way out to hide the middle operator column, kindly help me.

Uncommitted changes information - how to ?

I'm looking for solution like I have in application created by JHeadstart. When user is on the page with input components and wants to leave this page (without saving changes) , he should get JavaScript message like on this image. When he press OK all non saved changes (or new empty row) should be removed. Let following scenario:


1) User inserts any data into form on PageOne


2) Then press link on the menu and go to PageTwo with another input form.


3) He press commit and all changes (from both forms) are saved - shouldn't be.


The questions are:


1) How to create JavaScript message about uncommitted changes (image above).


2) How to obtain functionality, If user press OK all unccommitted changes or new data are removed


Have anyone had similar problem and solved that ?

I wanted to have similar functionality as you described. I gave up after few days. Maybe you will be more successful.
a) you have to check state of all editable fields (javascript function)
b) you have to check model changes (for example bindings.commit.enabled == true)
I end up with disabling menu navigation on pages you could leave only when everything is commited or rollbacked. Why ask user what to do? Just give him only two options (without dialog): a) commit changes and navigate or b) rollback changes and navigate. Of course this is not applicable everywhere.
Back to your questions:
1) I believe there is a way to check all input field change in javascript (value vs. defaultValue)
2) For example you can create rollback and commit buttons with inlineStyle set to "display: none" (invisible buttons). These button are programmaticaly invokable from javascript by document.getElementById('buttonid').click()

Change length of attributes in Advanced Search

JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.2 and JHeadstart 11g TP1.
I have a question about changing the length (width) of attributes in Advanced Search in JHeadstart:
I have a varchar2(6) field and In JAG I have used the following values:
Java type = String
Display type = TextInput
In my application this field has 6 characters (= OK).
But when I use Advanced Search in my application the field is much longer than 6 characters. I can fill in everything I want. Is there a way to change this so I can only use 6 characters in de the search field?

OK, this is because in a search item you can use as many wildcards as you like: 'A%b%cdef%'.
If you want to restrict the maximum length, you need to make a custom template for findTextInput.vm and add the following macro:
#ITEM_MAXIMUM_LENGTH()

How about telling us in advance what programs or plug ins will NOT work with the new Firefox. I just lost my "safe search" feature with AVG, and I think that's sort of important!

Just upgraded to Firefox 6 (which I like, by the way), but when I upgraded to 5, I lost the gaming feature when I installed AVG, and now I've lost the AVG safe search feature, which I think is very important considering that I have grandkids that use my computer,
How about telling us in advance (and I'm running Firefox, so a link would be easy) whether or not we're going to lose an important feature like the one I lost?
So, how do I get back to Firefox 5 without uninstalling and reinstalling so I can have that safe search feature back?

DURIM - Okay. I would expect the "Cache Warning" message because your default directories would not be the same as the ones in the settings file I generated.
If you go back to the "7.0" directory and open the "Logs" folder, can you copy the "Audition Log.txt" file and send it as an attachment to [email protected]? We'll take a look in that logfile and see if it gives us more information about why this is failing now.
Also, do you have any other Adobe applications installed on this machine, such as Premiere Pro? If so, do they launch as expected or fail as well?
I do have the trial Pro version of Adobe reader, but I have not activated it, because I fear the same thing will happen did it. I cannot afford to activate the subscription for that product and take the chance of it not working either. I depend on those two programs religiously. Here is the files that you requested. I appreciate any help you can give me to get this audition program started

Change OVS text Advanced Search

Hello.
Someone knows how to change the text from label in OVS (Advanced Seach) to other language ?
We have a webdynpro project using the OVS (Obejct Value Selector) and we need to change the label Advanced Search in OVS to portuguese !

For changing the text to portugese, u can create a message in the messagePool (pg_textHeader) with the property "text" and enter the portugese text content.
In the UI bind the header to an attribute (say headerText) which takes the value dynamically.
In code, u can set the value of the attribute using the line:
IWDTextAccessor textAccessor = wdComponentAPI.getTextAccessor();
String headerOVS = textAccessor.getText("pg_headerText");
wdContext.currentContext.setHeaderText(headerOVS);

Uncommited changes Message - Need help

Hi everyone,
can anyone tell me how can I disable the uncommited changes message?
When I go to one specific page to another I get this message: "The page you are about to leave has uncommited changes, that will be lost if you proceed".
I only want to commit this changes after. Is it possible to do this?

Atena,
This is doable as a post-generation change, but I do not recommend it. When you go to the next page, and commit there, you might get errors related to the previous page which the user can not fix on the current page.
If you nevertheless want to change it, you should remove the alertForChanges() call in onClick property on all buttons and menu items in your application, and replace the call to doEvent with doDataEvent on the same buttons and menu items.

Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to purchase them originally. Did you try entering your old password and see if that works?
If you need to sign out of your old account go to Settings>Store>Tap on your ID and sign out. Sign in with the new one.
you can also access your ID in the featured tab of the App Store. Swipe to the bottom of the screen and you will find it there as well.

This is a question about the iTunes Store. I have the correct artist, title, composer, and album name for a song popular in the 1970's. The store's Advanced Search feature can't find any of the information. How can I get Search to find the song I seek?

Perhaps the song is not available in MP3 format, or isn't available in the iTunes Store, or simply not available in your country. (A Norwegian band's first album from the 1980s became available in MP3 format only in April 2012; an example that not everything is automatically is available in MP3 as soon as possible.)
... and before any wag says, or even thinks "it", yes - the Norwegian band's album is very good! (Still waiting for their second album, from 1982, though!)
You may be surprised at how often a song or album is not available because of "contractual problems" - in other words, someone's being greedy, difficult, or both. (Another album I like, from a UK band of the 70's, was unavailable for a long time because - and I'm quoting the band's leader - "the copyright owner wanted too much money for the album to be on CD.")
You could try looking for the song in other stores. If it's not yet available anyhwere, you'll just have to be patient. You could try contacting the band via any websites they have, and asking them about it's availability. What's the song? Perhaps I (or soemoen else) might be able to confirm it's availability on MP3 from another source.

I have found a solutiton to the problem I was having. I hope that many more can benefit from the information I will provide.
I started at Finder, then went to GO selected COMPUTER and then Machintosh HD, then Library, Scripting Additions folder and trashed all that was there. This is what worked for me, if you choose to not delete your content its up to you. Happy Computing.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Help required to customize Simple/Advanced Search. Need to add new fields

Jdev version: 10.1.3.3
Scenario:
- We are dealing with standard oracle pages.
- We have TWO "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH"s available. Each "Simple/Advanced Search" can be found by navigating through paths "A --> B" and "A --> B --> C --> D" . Here it means one "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" page is available at page "B" and another "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" is available at page "D".
- In the first search page which is at page "B", both Simple as well as Advanced search has a filter field "Win Probability %", of type VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100)
- In second search page, referring to page "D", the Simple search DOESN'T have the "Win Probability %". And the Advanced Search page has the "Win Probability %" but it is of type - NUMBER/MessageTextInput type.
Issue/Requirement:
- The 2nd Simple/Advanced search pages need to have "WIN PROBABILITY %" field and it should be of VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100) just like the way we had in 1st Simple/Advanced search.
Note:
- Again speaking we are dealing with standard oracle pages
- If you go to the "About this Page", interestingly I found:
i. The "message component layout" for both of them is from the same region , i.e., ASNOpptympSrchRN
ii. Rest of the search filters for both the searchs are from common View Object , i.e., OpptySearchVO1 (for Simple search), OpportunityDetailsVO1 (for advanced search)
iii. The "Stack layout" for both the search pages are same, i.e. XXMASOpptyQryCO
iv. None of the fields are rendered to false (everything is set to be rendered TRUE)

What is the CO?
Does both pages share same CO?
have you already extended the CO "XXMASOpptyQryCO"?
what is the original CO then? I think in that CO it must be written somewhere, simple search "search allowed = false""

-FYI pages share same controller.
-And the original controller for both the pages are OpptyUwqCO. Right now its extended controller is XXMASOpptyQryCO
Fact is I didn't create this search page. It was built by some third party members. Also that I do not have the original source nor the documentation pertaining to it. So could you inform as in how should I navigate to the point "Search Allowed = True"
I should have informed that at "B" page, it has a region /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNMgrOpptyQryRN and at page "D", the region is /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNOpptyQryRN
