Message Listener Problem (iDoc)

I am receiving an iDoc successfully in the Message Listener within Mii.  I have created a Processing Rule for the Message Type and tied it to a simple BLS.  The BLS has an XML input parameter which is selected in the Processing Rule.
The BLS simply maps the XML input parameter to an XML output parameter and that's it as I want to make sure communication is working before creating any BLS logic.
The iDoc Message goes into failure status and this is what I get in the log:
Unable to process request com.sap.jms.client.message.JMSObjectMessage@431f1d25
[EXCEPTION]
com.sap.xmii.bls.exceptions.TransactionLoadException: Unable to create transaction instance
Any ideas why this is happening?

After much searching and trial and error, I was able to locate the source of this problem.  While I was modifying the "Log Level" in the Processing Rule, someone else changed the Transaction Security to include the "SAP XMII Developer" role.  Once I remove this role from the BLS, the same symptom occurs.
It seems this is the only role that allows the Processing Rule to trigger the BLS's.  Is this hard coded somewhere in Mii that this role is required?  If so where can I find these types of requirements so I can avoid going through this for other Mii functionality in the future?
Thanks

  • IDoc Data Lost between ECC and MII Message Listener.

We have recently experienced some network issues which caused the IDoc's to stop flowing outbound from ECC to MII Message Listener.  This happened 3 times during a network switch reconfiguration.  2 of the three occasions the MII Message listener had to be restarted on the MII server in order to get data to flow again.  Interestingly some of the IDocs that were generated during this outage time were processed by the message listener and some didn't.
We are running MII 12.0 sp11 and ECC 6.0.  The ECC server and MII server are located in different geographic locations.
When we look at the ECC system in WE05 we see only sucessful status for the IDoc messages saying the Data passed to port OK.
When we check the Message listener on the MII end there it only shows processed successfully.  There are no failed messages or messages without rules.
Where can I check further to see the IDocs that really didn't make it to be processed by the Message Listener on the MII server?
Also is it possible that these IDocs that got lost somewhere are still sitting on the ECC or MII servers somewhere where we can re-process them?
And the Last question is, Why didn't the Message Listener handle the network issue automatically instead of needing to restart it?

    Hi Robert,
Did SAP ever respond/resolve the ticket you created for this issue? Someone told me that this was a known issue, but I have yet to have it verified by SAP. They asked me to simulate the issue - but our non-prod systems are on a VM server with other systems. So I can't exactly start pulling network cables out - I did drop it from the network a few time while sending IDOCs down - but this failed to hang the processing of the IDOCs.
We're hopefully going to MII 14/15 next year - but the business is keen to resolve this issue as it has impacted production a few times. The MII sites are in some remote regions and I don't think we can really improve the WAN links much further.
@Christian - thanks for the link, we don't really have an issue with IDOC's not being received, its just the message processing just hangs and we either need to restarted the services or sometimes the system.

  • Message Listener Not Working

    Hi,
We are using MII 12.0.2 (88). We have connected with SAP ECC and we are receivng iDoc mesg from SAP and processing thru message listener and processing rule editors.
This connection was successful and we are able to recive all iDoc but suddenly on this is not working as only one type of iDoc are getting. But in SAP all are showing as Successful in WE02 tranx. We have checked in SM58 and other queues also. But in MII we didnt receive any iDoc except particular iDoc.
We are seeing this error in log  "Could not save IDoc messages to the database"
    and location as "com.sap.xmii.databuffer.server.JCoIDOCServer".
What is the problem and how to solve it.

    Hi Senthil,
Did you mean that you were receiving a variety of IDocs before and now you only receive one type?
Or did you just try a new type and fail?
Check to make sure the Partner Profile's Outbound Parameters and the Distribution Model both are set properly for the IDoc types.

    Nope nope, I don't work for Apple - I'm just a Level 3 Discussions pleb...! ;-))
I'd been in touch with the senior tiers of Apple Support on the phone to diagnose the chkdsk incidents of 2004-2005.
Following that, I also negotiated (part-)resolution to the Smart Playlist issue.
Since Updater 2006-01-10 (part-)fixed the Smart Playlist problem, but seemed to introduce some other issues for folks, I've been continuing to pass feedback from my Level 2 contact who is handling investigation of the latest problems. In turn, he is working with US Engineering to handle this issue.
So no, I'm not Apple, but I (and some others) pass commentary to and fro between Discussions and Level 2 Support, and by by-passing Front Line phone support, it helps us to get serious issues investigated and resolved more quickly. I find that such an approach for serious problems works well to help the Community.
I'm not sure if my message gives hope - but I do hope that having reported this on up to Level 2, and having been told that US Engineering have teams watching Discussions, that maybe we can expect some attention from Apple R&D on this matter. However, the official line is for individuals to contact Apple directly themselves via the phone and website feedback, so US Engineering have an idea of the number of people affected. The more people who report to Apple directly, the more likely the problem is to be noticed, and hence the priority for investigation and resolution increases. I can start an unofficial ball rolling, as I have done, but we cannot keep the momentum up unless users use these official routes to let Apple know they are affected.
Sorry it's all a bit foggy, but it's the best I've got! Hope this little explanation helps to clarify things a bit more. Feel free to post back if you'd like to discuss this further. Best for now.
    Kind regards,
    Gopha.

  • The message "A problem has occurred trying to process your request. Please try again later. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused." is displyed when I try to log on to my internet banking. Please can you tell me why?

Since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox, I'm now getting the message "A problem has occurred trying to process your request. Please try again later. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused." when I try to log onto my internet banking site. This occurs after going thru the first two steps of the login process. I don't get this problem when I login to all my other bookmarked sites, or when I use Internet Explorer. I'm using Windows XP. Any suggestions? (Note: I've just reloaded version 6 of Firefox, but it's not made any difference.)

Hi! I can't upgrade my iTunes 10.3.1.55 on my Windows XP 2002 SP3 to the latest version of iTunes. Got the message: "A problem has occured with the Windows Installer-package. A program needed for this installation could not be run." What to do?

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

  • Shortly after launching into itunes, it freezes and I get the following message: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. How do I resolve this issue?

Shortly after launching itunes, the program freezes and gives me the following message:A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. The program then closes, even if I have not completed what I am doing. How do I resolve this problem?

That is what I thought. Cannot figure out how to turn it off, though.
However, when I talked to her over the phone, she is definitely using Firefox. I tried to access her Internet Explorer, but it has been deactivated, I believe by Firefox.
She primarily uses the Internet to communicate with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Her e-mail account is with Yahoo Mail, and she uses Firefox to access it. Occasionally, she uses the web to look up information, and may have downloaded a virus.
Do you think there's something in Yahoo Mail that conflicts with Firefox? Is there some remnant of Internet Explorer that needs to be deactivated? Could she have a virus?
Any information would be gratefully appreciated. I live 7 hours away, and can only help her over the phone. I'm trying to develop a course of action that I can use with her. I know a little bit about Firefox, so need your expertise.

  • ITunes will not open, no message of problems

iTunes does not show up whenever I click on it, and no message of problems comes onto the screen. Absolutely nothing at all happens. Help?

See if QuickTime will open. iTunes uses QT codecs to play everything.

  • What is inbound XML message type and idoc type in Purchase Order response

    Hi ,
We are on SRM 7 ECS , support pack SAPKIBKV08.
We have a process in which vendor will send a Purchase Order response  which will be
converted to XML format by a middleware. This XML message will come to
SRM and post a POR. I want to do the EDI mapping for this XML message,
but there is no message type and idoc type in SRM for Purchase Order
response. How do I map my message type in SRM to the vendor sent fields
    in middleware .
    Please advise
    Rgds

    Hi,
You can process with XML without IDoc.
    Vendor->  (XML) -> PI -> (XML) -> SRM.
Please check PurchaseOrderConfirmation_In in namespace "http://sap.com/xi/SRM/Procurement/Global".

  • How to get rid of messages in idx5 idoc adapter

We are having a lot of messages in idx5 (327828 for a particular date). When I go to sxmb_moni "Monitor for processed xml Messages" I do not find these messages there.
We are running the archiving/deletion reports and I expected theese to take care of the Idoc Adapter messages as well. Is this not the case? Are there separate archiving/deletion jobs for the idoc adapter? How do I get rid of the messages in the idx5 xml messages in the idoc adapter?
When running the report RSXMB_SHOW_STATUS this is today (after archiving/deleting all messages older then one day) showing good 30.000 messages in the database - and do not show the huge number of messages in the idoc adapter.

The baseball is probably the symbol assigned to you in Address Book - take a look and see. It appears on all your sent mail in Mail, but not on the messages as they appear to recipients, so don't worry about it too much. If you don't like it, you can remove or replace it through Address Book.

  • How to do message mapping in IDoc or RFC to file transfer ?

Hello guys. I have a doubt. I know how to do an IDoc to file or RFC to file scenario. But how to do mapping in an Idoc to file or RFC to file scenario ? As I understand mapping is done in the sender. But IDoc or RFhas no interface as its used for SAP. So where do we need to perform mapping ?

    Hi,
You dont need the Data type and message type for IDOC's, RFC's and for external definitions. so u just create one DT,MT for your File structure and you need 2 message interfaces, one for file and one for the Idoc/RFC. You can use them in your mapping program.
