MessageID not getting generated using Alert category created in ESR & BPM

hi All,
We are trying to use Creating Alert Categories in ESR and using them in Integration Processes by refering to the blog below:

In BPM, we have selected context objects 'LogError.MessageId','LogError.Interface' and specied an xpath for two fields 'Name' & 'Studentid' . In long text i have used container variables correctly while defining alert category.
But while checking the raised alert in RWB -> Alert Inbox, context objects are coming as blank, out of two fields only name is coming, but for Request it is coming as '&Stud entid&'
Do i need to do anything more to get messageid etc in the alert.

Now MessageID and interface are coming correctly in the alert raised, but still Request is coming as '&Stud entid&, i checked in PE, container varaibles are set correctly, in alert inbox it is coming as &Stud entid&, we have 4 contianer variables used in Long text, it is coming like this for only one variable.
Any suggestions?
Also how can i define newline in between two words in long text?

Alerts not getting generated from Alert rules

Hello
I had a problem displaying Alert messages in Alert Inbox.I have created my category and I am raising the alert from BPM and thats working fine.But in some cases where I have define rules(via Alert Configuration in Runtime Workbench) for Alert Generation alerts are not getting raised.I am having the two background jobs running as per the documentation.
I checked by creating a rule where sender was BPM and receiver is File and the alert should get generated when the Adapter fails(i gave wrond username for FTP server).
Any idea what step might be missing?

Hello Rajeev,
have you checked in transaction ALRTDISP if the required alert has been created at all?
If yes, then have a look at the receivers, if no then check the following things:
- are your jobs running sucessfully?
- does the alert get created when you execute SALRTPROC report manually?
- are there old alerts of the same category not confirmed and flag surpress multiple alerts activated in the alert rule?

Display name not getting generated When creating user thorugh GTC

We are using GTC flat file as a trusted source. We see that display name not getting generated. And same thing happening when creating a new GTC mapping.
previously when we ran with few test user got created with display name through GTC flat file , Suddenly we see this issue display name not getting generated through flat file recon.
Manually user creation has no issues.
Please let me know if you have any idea about this issue.

Don't use GTC... GTC is inflexible and buggy technology... Nothing guaranteed... Rather create your own custom trusted recon code...

Proposals are not getting generated for BOM items in MD50

Hi Gurus,
I have maintained strategy 50 in MRP for header material , Item category gp as LUMF & maintained consumption parameters in material master .
For dependent requirements i have maintained BOM for production & sales usage, Strategy is blank as it is customer specific component , Item category gp is NORM , individual requirements i.e 1 in MRP 4 view.
MRP type is PD in both materials.
When i run a MRP thru' MD50 after getting customer order.
it is not planning my dependent requirements i.e. proposals are not getting generated for dependent requirements (BOM materials).
Please let me know the solution.

Task activities not getting generated properly in BPEL

I am using the Jdev 11g TP3 (from OTN). Installation went through fine. However I observed a interesting issue with HumanTask/BPEL and I was wondering if someone faced similar such problems before, if so, how to rectify the issue. Here is the description of the issue:
1. Created a Empty SOA composite project
2. Dragged and dropped BPEL Process in the component palette. Designed a Asynchronous process.
3. Dragged and dropped a HumanTask. Did not expose as an composite. Designed a single approver workflow. In the project schema, choose the schema from BPEL input.
4. Wired BPEL to HumanTAsk
5. In the BPEL flow, I dragged the HumanTask to the flow. Everything appears to be correct. I clicked on "Ok" after associating with BPEL variable.
Now when I examine the BPEL flow, a scope before the BPEL switch is empty. There are no BPEL activities generated. This is a very simple case of BPEL and HumanTask and I am not sure as to why the tasks not getting generated properly in BPEL flow.
Has anyone experienced this issue or any ideas as to why this could happen?

After going through the exercise several times, I finally found out the reason as to why the BPEL activities are not getting generated. In the Human task form for the title, since it is a fixed string in my case I put something like the one given below:
Title : "APPROVE ORDER"
When you have fixed string within double quotes it does not generate BPEL activities correctly. You can try and u will see the problem.
My real question is should not throw proper error message when you try to drag and drop the HumanTask to BPEL flow.

SQLloder scripts not getting generated for CLOBs

I am trying to migrate MYSQL 3.23 database into Oracle 8.1.7 and after creating the Oracle model and after converting the MYSQL text datatype into CLOB of the Oracle model the SQLloader scripts is not getting generated for CLOB datatypes. I mean the scripts are getting created but there is no change in the script for CLOB datatype.
The script generates the following for the table containing CLOB datatypes:
mysqldump -h <HOST> -u <USERNAME> -p<PASSWORD> -T <DESTINATION_PATH> fields-terminated-by="<ec>" lines-terminated-by="<er>" test av_wbt_course
Please let me know how to load data when the datatype is of CLOB ?

I was able to resolve this issue by using OWM Oracle Migration instead of using offline method by sqlloader scripts.

Reports not getting generated

Dear All,
I know this is a repeat query but im unable to find information from the blogpost http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-41109.
I have earlier configured the WWI setup in a linux server. Now I am testing it on a windows server. I have made all the configurations in word and for generation server. The issue is, the report is not getting generated in report management screen and is in status Generation possible always.
When i check the wwi monitor, the doc type SBR is getting released but not getting completed. Please see the screenshot. CGSADM is working fine, RFC is working fine. I tried creating documents in CV01N and they are getting created. The DCOM settings are also good and activated the permissions there too. The DMS settings are set as per the SAP notes. However The job i scheduled is in status Finished for document generation. But when I try to generate the report, the report is created using a variant and the status of the report is in generation possible always. I checked the variant of the report and the validity is in REG_WORLD. I understand that there is some issue in the scheduled job.
I have scheduled only one job for Document Generation as follows.
a)Enter the job name - DOC GENERATION and choose a job class - A.
d) Choose Start condition and in the dialog box, choose After event.
e) Enter SAP_SYSTEM_START in the event field.
f) Activate Periodic job - HOURLY
g) Choose Check and save your entries.
h) Choose Step and choose ABAP program in the dialog box that appears.
i) Enter RC1WWIDS as the ABAP program name.
j) Choose Check and save your entries.
k) Before you leave the Define Background Job screen, you must save your entries once more.
Result: The job is started whenever the SAP system is started.
aFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS, THE RESULT IS THE SAME AND NO CHANGE IN STATUS OF THE REPORT.
Kindly suggest what step am i missing . I have been through all the blogs in SCN. My old blogs are however missing and hence I am not able to access them.
I am using SAP GUI 7.30, ECC6 and EHP 5.

Please help me to understand your system landscape.
a.) Did you have had a SAP EHS up and running together with a "linux server" based WWI version
and
b.) now you are switching the same SAP system to a "windows server" based version?
I am not sure about your screenshots. But you seem to have more than one gen server attached to the same system; did you updated as well WWI?
So no adaption of general SAP set up (like DMS etc.)?
Therefore any job scheduled (before afterwards) is done using a SAP account having the necessary access rights?
Can you please check this:
1.) create several sessions; one with WWi monitor and one with CG02; try to generate a different report for the same spec id (e.g. not MSDSUS in EN, but MSDS/FR) and check progress in WWI monitor as well as CG50
2.) select in CG50 the report in status "generation possible"; mark it and try to "go" on ; check access rights afterwards (su53)
I hate this status "generation possible". I believe you need to use "debug replace" to remove that entry; I can not remember any more but that was the only option to get "rid" of this entry
Please read WWI cookbook, There is a set up possible in such a way that any action on WWI server is "logged"; may be try to analyze the log file to get idea why there is no progress regarding the generation
PS: the problem you have detected is not related to the "validity area". It is a matter of communication issue between SAP and WWI server and the WWI process can not be finalized.

Proforma invoice is not getting generated

Proforma invoice not getting generated against replenishment delivery though configured relevance for proforma invoice & Pricing standard in the item category.
Copy control are maintained absolutely for Delivery document to Billing document.
The system generating message the item is not relevant for billing.
Can any one attend this on priority.

Check the item category configuration via VOV7 for the item category being used in the delivery. The billing relevance should be set to A.

Application logs are not getting generated in OIM 9.1.0.2

Hi guys,
We have created schedulers in OIM using OIM api to create,modify and delete the users.All our schedulers working fine.and we are able to do all the opeartions quite some time back.But we are facing an issue where the logs not getting generated when we run the schedulers.But while creating/modifying/deleting users from OIM webconsole we are gettinng the logs.Any help would be appreciated.

Utl_file not getting generated

hi i wrote one procedure using utl_file , to check the output of the file in a text format and it was created successfully , intially it had problems with directory and i created that directory and even granted permissions using system user but nothing is happening the text file is not getting generated.

Custom log not getting generated in weblogic 10.3.5

We have weblogic 10.3.5 as application server and deployed DAM(Digital Assets Management ) application on it. Also we have deployed 2-3 more application which is sharing connection properties file (dfc and log4j) outside from application war in shared location.
Now, we have configured the log path but logs are not get generated where as it comes in out log of weblogic.
Is there any configuration changes which can create the log files as mentioned in our log4j.properties?? Seeking help urgently.

How are you writing to the log file in your application?
When, for example, use System.out.println the entry will show up in the .out file.
You need to get the right loghandler to write the logging you configure.

Accounting documents not getting generated for mvt. type 221 Q

Hi friends,
When goods are issued for consumption for project accounting documents are not getting generated.
I have tried with mvt. type 412 Q, 211 Q,
by mvt type 412 Q, the stock is transfered to project stock, it shows the stock of material in project stock, by movement type 211 Q the project stock gets consumed. So at the time of consumption of consumption account should hit and relevent accounting document should get generated. this is not happenning.
When i check material document and check for accounting document, message flashses that movement is not rrelevent for accounting.
Can any one throw more light on this?

Hi,
Please check in PO item details Delivery tab. In that GR Non-valuated checkbox might be checked.Generally for account assignment category asset it is ticked.
If you tick GR non-valuated check box then at the time of GR accounting document will not be created.Accounting document will be created only at the time of IR.

Have you mantained Chart of accounts.
have you mantained Valuation area settings
Transaction event key
Valuation class settings.
Check your material master data in accounting view have mantained Valuation class.
Check your back ground settings OMWN.

DB adapter, XSD not getting generated

Hi',
I am using a DB adapter and using option for "pure sql query", when I paste the sql query the XSD file is not properly getting generated.
Its only creating the input part but not generating the output part of the XSD, I have checked the query its returning the output.
Please advice me what can be the possible cause of this.

Hi,
Before you paste your sql query into the dialogue box can you try and reformat it so that it appears as a single line. So something like
SELECT MY_COL FROM MY_TAB WHERE MY_COL2 = #IN_VAL
instead of
SELECT MY_COL
FROM MY_TAB
WHERE MY_COL2 = #IN_VAL
I recall having problems when I pasted formatted sql statements.

BATMAS IDocs not gettting generated using Change Pointers

Hi,
I have scenario where I am supposed to replicate Batch between R/3 & Ware House Systems. So, for this I am using the standard BAPI to generate IDocs correctly for the batch.
Now, when I go and change the document flow i.e. make changes to the Batch using transaction MSC2N and saving a new document is getting generated.
Change Pointers are active globally and also on the message type. Now when I use the transaction BD21 to generate IDocs, they are getting created successfully for the distribution model that is existing. Now, when I add a filter in my distribution model based on Plant IDocs are not getting generated.
Can any one let me know if I missed out any configuration step or else what needs to be done in order to solve this issue.
