Messages in Test Plan Management

Hi,
In STWB_2, am viewing a Test Plan. It contains 10 Test Packages. Each Test package has  some Messages assigned to Test cases.
When i click on the MESSAGE INDICATOR against a particular Test Package, none of the messages are getting displayed in the Message Overview Report.
But When i click on the Message Overview Icon on TestPlan, i could see all the Messages associated with the TESTPLAN, but the same is not fetching the message report for Test Package.
Can anyone help me out.
Thx,
Waseem

    Hi,
    Please try the following:
    Start transaction SMGENDOC03
Do not change anything but just hit the save button.
Afterwards restart transaction STWB_2 and try again to generate again.
    Hope this helps.

It is very hard to regenerate in the test plan in test plan management, need to select the test case manually every time.

    Hello,
You can send mail with the status of the test catalog-
specify a mail system to which Test Workbench test objects send messages to the people responsible

    with then again assigend Testers
The reports I have been able to run does not have this option, is that something someone has tried.

    Jeppe Kristensen

    Hi Fabricius
Thank you very much, looks very good that does get me some part of the way, but not the whole way, unfortunatly.
The most important thing for me at time is also to get the testers assigned to these test cases, I would like to be able to export a what I see in the screen test organizer.
    STWB_2
    Select a test plan
    Go intio test-plan management
This I would love to be able to export or print.
    Best regards Jeppe

  • Archiving/Deleting Test Messages in SAP Solution manager

    Hi,
We have configured Service Desk in our solution manager 7.0 with EHP1 system.
We have created test messages to test the configuration.
We need to delete these test messages which are appearing in T Code CRM_DNO_MONITOR.
We run the report "CRM_ORDER_DELETE" but the output is
    Deletion of CRM Documents
The following document could not be deleted:                 8000000259
Not possible to delete, a reference exists to a subsequent document
    Number of documents deleted:                                          0
Number of documents not deleted:                                      1
    So
We have followed the "Note 1329247 - Archiving Solution Manager Service Desk messages".
    1)
a)Call transaction DNOTIFWL and set the deletion flag for the Service Desk message. The deletion flag corresponds to the system status I1076 (deletion flag).
    b) Execute the report Z_DELETE_BASIC_NOTIFICATIONS
The above step we have executed successfully.
    2)
    In CRM
You cannot delete a service process in CRM. The service process must be archived.
Call transaction SARA and select the archiving object CRM_SERORD. Archiving involves three steps:
    a) Initial run     Report CRM_ARC_SERORD_CHECK
    b) Write run       Report CRM_ARC_SERORD_SAVE
    c) Delete run     Report CRM_ARC_SERORD_DELETE
in SARA T Code we have typed  archiving object CRM_SERORD.
After this what to do??? How to proceed further.
Can any body suggest us the step by step procedure to archive these test messages.
    Regards,
    Raj

You need to schedule a BGD job to execute this. You can do this from the SARA screen itself, clicking on the 'Job' button. Please refer:

  • Test Plan creation in Solutoin manager Production

    Hi
We have the Solution and Blue print updated in the Solman production System.  The test system is quite old and does not have the update Solutoin or the Blue print .  As we have updated Testcases & processes in production system, we would like to create a test plan (using test organizer) directly in the production system.  But the system is not allowing creation of test plan in Productoin and system is expecting us to create in test and transport to Produciton.  As we do not have the updated process/solution in the test, the creation of test plan in Test has no meaning and cannot be used.  What is the way out to resolve our problem.  Also guide us the procedure to create test plans directly in Produciton system and highlight us if there is signifcant impact.
    Regards
    Srini

    Hi Srini
You are asking why it is not possible to do directly in solman production
the answer is same if you ask for ECC PRD or BI PRD why we have 3 tier landscape simply because PRD is not a test system or training system all the configuration development happen in ECC/BI dev then we move the request to QA for testing
Samething if you create a Test Plan in Solution Manager PRD where you expect to do the testing for your configuration.
Moreover where are you planning to train your Actual Tester's who will use your Test Plan.
Last you have to open the client for changes to happen in PRD do you think is it correct it ?
Hope I have explained or clarified your doubt

  • Solution Manager: Creating test plan - no test cases uploaded show up

    Hi,
I am attempting to create test plans that include all the test case documents that I uploaded to the system.  Unfortunately, when I upload the documents, check them out and then in again, and then go to stwb_2 to create a test plan, the documents do not show up in the test plan structure.
Why is this and is there someway to make the documents show up?
    Thank you!

  • Transport of Test Plan / Test Packages

    Dear all,
We intend to transport a test plan with all test packages from the development Solution Manager to the productive Solution Manager because in the productive Solution Manager no configuration is allowed.
We are using the Solution Manager functionality to execute manual testing in the following way:
On SOLAR02 the project 'FOUNDATION' is stored. The project 'FOUNDATION' has been migrated from a outstanding sandbox Solution Manager system to all three Solution Manager Systems: DEV, TEST and PROD. Test scripts have been uploaded on the 'test cases' tab of the respective business process branch.
In the development Solution Manager SMD a test plan has been generated using the uploaded test scripts mentioned above.
On the quality assurance Solution Manager the same project 'FOUNDATION' is stored and the same test scripts are uploaded on the same branches.
When the test plan is transported (using the recommended STWB_2 transport functionality) from the development SM to the quality assurance SM there are two issues.
    1. The transported test plan cannot be edited / regenerated anymore. An error message "The specified structure does not exist" is displayed. Message number is SOLAR056.
    2. The transported packages can be assigned to users but no notes can be added to the test cases. The error message is: "Unable to find template". Message number is SOFFICEINTEGRATION231.
It seems that the transported test plan cannot retrieve the underlying project structure, even it is identical to the project structure of the development SM.
This problem is urgent to us, as the test phase is starting next week.
Thank you very much for your support.
    Best Regards,
    Marc Reinhardt

    Hello Marc,
We have experienced similar problems. A transport of the test plan and copies of the test plans have resulted in us loosing status values and test notes.
I was informed it had to do with the fact the information is stored in the GUI. How I don't know, I am not a technical person.
I was wondering if you may have encountered the similar problems I have had above and found ways around it.
You can reach me at [email protected] as well.

  • How to send a mail about the test plan status

    Hi
I have finished the development of ecatt automation test cases.
And I have integrated the ecatt  automation test cases into the test plan of TWB.
I have scheduled a job in background to run the test plan.
After the job has finished, I need to send a email to related users to tell them the status of each test cases in the test plan.
Is there any way to implement it?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • How to create  a test plan with specific transactions (or program)

    Hello,
I'm a new user in Sol Man !
How to create  a test plan with specific transactions (or program).
In my Business Blueprint (SOLAR01) I've created in 'transaction tab' the name of my specific transactions and linked it.
In my test plan (STWB_2) those specific doesn't appear to be selected !
    Thanks in advance.
    Georges HUYNEN

    Hi
In solar01 you have defined but you have to assign the test case in solar02 for this test case in the test cases tab.
When you do so expand the business sceanario node in test plan generation of STWB_2 transaction and now that will appear.

  • Unable to saver images in a note within a Test Plan - STWB_2

    Hi all,
While trying to edit a note in Tx STWB_2 (Test Plans), I'm not able to save an image on it. I can add and save text but no images. Other odd thing is that even when I click on "Save Active", the message "Document saved as raw version" appears. In case of text, the data is saved (as mentioned earlier). No mutter save mode I select the note is always saved as a raw.
Is this behavior the standard one or should I perform some actions? Could this message be linked to the fact that I canu2019t saved images in my notes.
    Your help is highly appreciated

    Check the value of OPTIMIZER_USE_SQL_PLAN_BASELINES.
Double check the sql id and exact matching signature of both statements .
Turn autotrace off, execute statement then use:
SELECT * FROM TABLE(DBMS_XPLAN.DISPLAY_CURSOR(NULL,NULL,'ALLSTATS LAST'));to get the actual execution plan of the last executed statement in that session
If in doubt, enable a SQL Plan Management trace:
    alter session set events 'trace[RDBMS.SQL_Plan_Management.*]';
