Metadata EDISDEF for port SAPPF5, IDoc type ZIDOC_PARTNER_NOM and CIM type

Hi all,
I simply migrated a scenario for an XI 3.0 server to the new PI 7.0 server it will run on. When I do the IDX2 to pull in the metadata I get
"Segment Version could not be read", but it still shows the metadata.
then when I run the IDOC I get the above error in the subject line. Everything is the exact same in the two XI systems but one works and one does not. Please give direction!
Chris

Hi,
Could you verify connection in port configuration. Transaction IDX1. Maybe RFC destination which you used is wrong.
You can also use this report in PI:
IDX_CHECK_METADATA - check IDOC adapter metadata  inside XI against source systems

I defined RFC Destination and Port properly..
    Did I miss out anything.

    Hi,
A few checks to be done,
    1. GO to the RFC destination 9in SM59 and see if the Remote Log on and Test COnnectiivyt to the R# system works.
    2. Go to IDX2 and deleted the exisitng Metadata and import the same meta data manually. IS the import succesful?
    3. Check if you have entered valid POrt value and RFC destintion in IDOC adapter.

  • Process code or Fmodule  for Idoc type PREQCR101 and message type PREQCR1

    hi all,
Iam unable to find the process code or function module for the idoc type PREQCR101 and message type PREQCR1 for inbound process.
help from some one would be a lot appretiated.

    Hi,
Go to transaction WE57 and you can find the processing FM and message type that are associcated to the IDOC type.
For process code if it is Inbound check WE42 and outbound check WE41 transactions

  • LSMW with IDOC Message type COND_A and Basic type COND_A01

    Hi Sap All.
in my project we using the LSMW with IDOC Message type COND_A and Basic type COND_A01 and now the requirement is to know the list of the tables which will be updated when i do the LSMW Migration with this IDOC Basic type.
i have tried to know the list of the tables updated by entering into the transaction we30 and looking at the segments E1KOMG,E1KONH, E1KONP,E1KONM,E1KONW  and i found that the following below are the list of tables which gets updated when i populate the data into IDOC Message type COND_A and Basic type COND_A01.
    KOMG,KONH,KONP,KONM,KONW.
please correct me if iam wrong.
    regards.
    Varma

    Hi Varma,
The tables mentioned by you definitely get updated, i guess you can add KONV to the list too, but to be a 100% sure, enable SQL trace and process an IDOC. Then you can look for Insert/Modify/Update statements to get a list of the tables that get updated.

  • Difference btn Class type 22 and calss type 23

    Hi All,
What is the difference between Class type 22 and Class type 23 in CL01( Create Class)? As far as i know both are for Batch. then what is the difference?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Hari

    Hi,
As rightly said by you, The two CLASS TYPES  22 and 23 are used for the Batch
If  the BATCH LEVEL is activated as the CLIENT  / MATERIAL level then use 23
If the BATCH LEVEL is activated at the PLANT LEVEL then  22 is used.
    Hope it is clear,

  • A case for porting the organizer to Mac - and suggestions for alternatives

I think that Adobe has really missed a market opportunity in not porting/including the organizer with the mac version of elements.  After a week of intermittent searching, I have found that I am far from the only person in my situation, and there does not seem to be a simple, relatively inexpensive, and at least somewhat automated solution.
I was a longtime PC user, decided a year ago to try a mac (macbook pro) and have been generally happy with the decision (a few complaints like lack of a real maximize button, no easy way to tile windows, lack of the snap feature ... and sorry fanboys, but just because apple did not decide to implement something does NOT mean that the feature carries no merit).  My wife retains her PC laptop, and I have them networked through wi-fi at the house.  We have been longtime users of elements and back when we both had windows (and elements on each), keeping the library on a NAS was fairly easy.  Initially the folder on the NAS was simply set as the location for the originals uploaded from either laptop, with that folder set as a watch folder in both copies of elements and photos imported to each laptop/copy of elements.  This lead to different libraries on each laptop (ie the crops/edits/tags were different) but at least the core library of originals on each computer was the same.  I then tried keeping the library for both laptops on the NAS (they were sharing the same file) and this worked fair, but did not like that if you took one laptop on vacation, that laptop would only be able to show thumbnails as the full library was not stored locally.  I believe it is/was possible to keep a master library on the NAS and have mulitple copies of elements sync to the same file - but I was never able to achieve this...and then I got the mac and stopped trying.
So now I have a multiple OS network, and trying to keep the photos organized is proving near impossible.  My current solution is to TRY to bring all the photos into the system through iphoto on the mac, export the keepers to a file on the NAS which has been set as a watch folder on my wifes PC/elements.  This does not set well with my wife, as she does not like having to find my mac to get photos off the camera, and besides it is really irksome to have to do 2 full sets of tagging/editing, and the automation in this system is essentially nil.  The only fairly elegant solutions I have found involve $200-500 digital asset management software.  Having the organizer on the mac would be a large step toward a solution as the database of metadata (beyond simple exif data) would be in the same format across platforms.  The number of people with multiple OS home networks is only going to to continue to grow, and an elegant, relatively inexpensive solution to the above problems would find a large market.
Soooo... after all that, what have others done in the same situation?  I am not particularly interested in cloud solutions, as so far the speed issues seem prohibitive and I am still somewhat concerned about privacy.
    Thanks

The MacPro is not a small tower. I don't think it will fit in a standard 19" rack case on it's side, even if you hack-sawed off the feet and handles (and who'd want to do that?!)
You can rack your Mac vertically with this deal: (it says G5 but I think the case is the same size for MacPro?)
    http://www.redco.com/shopexd.asp?id=876
And there are up to 5 rackspaces vertically for your outboard gear. This thing is the converter only and you still need to get a 12 space rack.

  • IDOCS: Segment Definition and Segment Type

    Hi Gurus,
We are working on IDOCs and trying to send a Location Master IDOCs to Third party system.
    1. In the IDOC print preview we are in a position to see the IDOC segment type Ex: E1TPLOC but customer is asking for Segment definition E2TPLOC.
When we go through the documentation:
u2022     Segment Type consists of Segment definition with Version and Release.
u2022     Segment Definition will contain the Field names
    u2022     E1TPLOC, E1TPDLH, E1KNVAM, E1TPTRM & E1TPSHH Segment types with concerned Segment definitions are
                         E2TPLOC,E2TPDLH, E2KNVAM
How to see the Segment definition types?

    Hi,
You can see the documentation in the transaction WE60 by giving the IDOC Basic type and extension if you have any.
E1 and E2 are the same, when you see the definition of the segment the naming convention will be E2 and when populating the data it will be E1.
I believe he is asking the segment definition alone, you go to WE60 transaction and give the inputs and click the parser button and that will give you the definition of the idoc and which you can share it with your partner.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh.

  • Regarding Transaction type (TTY) and Movement type for MM (OBYC)

    Hi SAP Expers,
In company's monthly rollup I am not seeing transcation type in some of the accounts. These accounts belogs to Account Assingment in OBYC. There is movement type and TTY for transaction. I am trying to get if movement type 101 is there accounting entry will display 09 in accounting document. I am not able to get that. Please check below attached mention screen shot. Please guide me step by step how should I will get required information.
Plse check file the field TTY for particular account shows blank. we want it display tty such as 01,09,02,and many more tty which related to particular account plse check attachment for that. and please guide me if you know what configuration I should check. This account belogs to material management

    Hi Mona,
    Not sure if this helps:
The OBYC relates to Transaction Keys = BSX/COC/GBB. These are updated in Field KTOSL.
The Field in Screen most probably relates to BEWAR.
In case the business scenario relates to Consolidation then the "Transaction-field" that is seen in screen may relate to cusomization mentioned below
S_ALR_87002588 - Maintain Transaction Types for Consolidation
S_ALR_87002594 - Assign Asset Transaction Types
Navigation: Enterprise Controlling -  Consolidation - Integration: Preparation for Consolidation - Preparation in the Sender System - Preparations Related to All Consolidation Types - Transaction Type Account Assignment

  • Number Range for PO based on company code and document type

    Dear All,
I've a requirement to assign a separate purchase order Number Range for a company code for the following document types.
    ZNB         Standard PO
    ZRB         Return PO
    ZUB         Stock transport ord.
    ZLPA       Scheduling agreement
    ZLU         Transp. sched. agmt.
(Number Ranges are different for each of the doc types mentioned above)
Is it something like I've to create 5 different Number Range objects and then provide the condition in the corresponding user exit , so that the appropriate document could pick its corresponding Number range.
Does anyone have any specific advice / experience on this , I am new to SAP and please advise me as how to go about this requirement. Thanks !!
    Srinivas G.

Create the five different number ranges via configuration the configuration for PO.  Usually a user exit is not needed.  You've really posted in the wrong forum.
There is a lot of work involved in creating a different PO types.  It is usually done in materials management.
    If everything is done:
In spro go to materials management -> purchase order -> define number ranges.
Once they are defined they should work automatically or be entered manually depending on how your number range is set up.

  • Records and Objects, Cast for PL/SQL Type RECORD and SQL Type OBJECT

    Hi seniors:
In my job, we have Oracle 10g, programming with Packages, the parameters are PL/SQL Types,

    wv_npspecification ORDERS.NP_SPECIFICATION.npspecification%TYPE,
    wv_nptype ORDERS.NP_SPECIFICATION.nptype%TYPE,
    wn_nporderid CONTROL_EQUIPMENT.NP_EQUIPMENT_OPERATIONS.nporderid%TYPE,
    wn_npguidenumber CONTROL_EQUIPMENT.NP_EQUIPMENT_OPERATIONS.npguidenumber%TYPE,
    wd_npdevolutionprogramdate CONTROL_EQUIPMENT.NP_EQUIPMENT_STATUS.npdevolutionprogramdate%TYPE
    TYPE TT_TR_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION_LST IS TABLE OF TR_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    PROCEDURE SP_GET_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION_LST(

Procedures calls other procedures and passing parameters IN OUT defined that PL/SQL Types. The problem appears when the access is through Java. Java can't read PL/SQL Types because only read SQL Types (Types defined in SCHEMA):
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    TYPE TO_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION AS OBJECT (
    wn_npequipmentoperid NUMBER,
    wv_npactiveservicenumber VARCHAR2(15),

    wd_npdevolutionprogramdate DATE
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    TYPE TT_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION_LST
    AS TABLE OF "CONTROL_EQUIPMENT"."TO_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION"
Java can read this SQL Types. The problem is how cast OBJECT to RECORD, because I can't execute that:
    DECLARE
    wt_operation_lst TT_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION_LST;
    BEGIN
    SELECT EO.npequipmentoperid,
    EO.npactiveservicenumber,
    S.npspecification,

    EO.nporderid,
    EO.npguidenumber,
    ES.npdevolutionprogramdate
    BULK COLLECT INTO wt_operation_lst

    NP_EQUIPMENT_STATUS ES,
    ORDERS.NP_ORDER O,
    ORDERS.NP_SPECIFICATION S
    WHERE EO.npequipstatid = ES.npequipstatid
    AND EO.nporderid = O.nporderid
    AND O.npspecificationid = S.npspecificationid
    AND EO.npequipstatid = an_npequipstatid;
    END;
and throws NOT ENOUGH VALUES, and I modified to:
    DECLARE
    wt_operation_lst TT_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION_LST;
    BEGIN
    SELECT TO_EQUIPMENT_OPERATION(EO.npequipmentoperid,
    EO.npactiveservicenumber,
    S.npspecification,
    S.nptype,
    EO.nporderid,

    ES.npdevolutionprogramdate)
    BULK COLLECT INTO wt_operation_lst
    FROM NP_EQUIPMENT_OPERATIONS EO,
    NP_EQUIPMENT_STATUS ES,
    ORDERS.NP_ORDER O,
    ORDERS.NP_SPECIFICATION S
    WHERE EO.npequipstatid = ES.npequipstatid
    AND EO.nporderid = O.nporderid
    AND O.npspecificationid = S.npspecificationid
    AND EO.npequipstatid = an_npequipstatid;
    END;
Worst is that I can't modify this procedure and PL/SQL Types will survive.
I have create a copy that CAST RECORD to OBJECT and OBJECT to RECORD too.

  • Yet another case of new type[array] and parametrized type

I suppose this is an often asked question, to which I seem not to be able to find a simple answer. I know of the "incompatibility" of arrays and generics, and yet in such a seemingly simple case I run into a mystery, or a compiler bug. Look at this warning:
    Set<Integer>  C[];
    foo/bar/some.java:1148: warning: [unchecked] unchecked conversion
    found   : java.util.HashSet[]
    required: java.util.Set<java.lang.Integer>[]
C=new HashSet[H-L+1];So far so good, but precisely this *"Set<type>[]"* does not exists, does it? When I try to add a parametrized type to this new statement, compiler says:
    Set<Integer>  C[];
    foo/bar/some.java:1148: generic array creation
                    C=new HashSet<Integer>[H-L+1];
                      ^
1 errorIn a regular case we can easy deal with the "unchecked" warnings, e.g. Effective Java 2nd Ed, Item 24 discusses this, but all this seem to be ignoring this case. When generic array creation is not permitted, than why this warning stating that *"java.type<typeparam>[] required"* appear, and how to resolve this for safety and correctness? Of course, I can still ignore the warning and do a few instanceof checks and casts, like before, but I am really curious how to transfer this into the new paradigm.
As much generics improve and help in many cases, I regret their arcane complexity. To paraphrase C.A.R. Hoare, the Java language itself becomes now the problem, not its solution.
    Thomas

I wonder if we have someplace recent measure just an array stack against a current implementation of a set in Java? In JDK1.4 I remember array was several times faster, 350% faster if my memory serves me, and I do have the classic "inner loop" operation, very repetitive. I can live with the warning, what's the problem?
Of course all this are considerations fully aside of the issue at hand, that the JDK1.6 compiler prints a nonsense warning message that a parametrized array is expected, what is in fact illegal in current implementation of generics. Which is in my eyes severely faulty, but that would be yet another assault on the Braha Ivory Tower, wouldn't it?

  • Metadata EDISDEF not maintained  - Idoc adapter error

    hi,
In our scenario, SenderParty->XI->R/3, we are using custom idoc to post into R/3. The idoc adapter throws an error, Metadata EDISDEF for port SAPXXX, IDoc type ZKAGXXX and CIM type not maintained, but when i use standard idoc, i don't get this error. We even applied oss note 837595 to fix authorization issue, but it didn't help.
    Any ideas or suggestions.
    Thanks
    Pandari

One LAST suggestion.  Looking at Note 837595, it doesn't seem to specify a value for authorization group (DICBERCLS).  Try authorization group 'SS' (without quotes).  So:
    Object: S_TABU_DIS
    Activity: 03
    Auth. Group: SS
I recall now that a customer recently had this issue and (for them), this helped.

  • Problem to transform Flat file to Data Type Structurated and map to IDOC

    Hi all,
I have a file to idoc scenario.
    The information is like this:

    4#!dades45#!b#!c#!d#!e#!f#!g
    5#!pos5
where 1, 2, ... = key segments for the file adapter and #! are the field separator.
this must go to a Data Type with substructures like this:
    (xml)
    .1
    ......2
    .3
    ......4
    ......5
    where 2 is inside 1 and 4-5 inside 3.
The reason of this is we can get unbounded replays of 3/4/5 for one header.
But XI reads the information like if all segments are headers.
    .1
    .2
    .3
    .4
    .5
So the IDOC is bad created.
Where is the issue?  At Message Mapping all substructures are mapped with his default and at TEST option it works fine.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Dear people,
according to license problems at client, it's impossible to get the convert agent.
so now we come back to try to solve with normal mapping.
the next step is try to convert it using 2 message mappings: dt (flat xml) to dt (structurated) and this one to the idoc.
i suppose it can be done adding program at interface mapping.
I created the no hiereachical Data Type for load the information and it's fine. But i am unable to get the first mapping OK, because XI has problems with unbounded segments.
If you agreed and has time, i copy here the information and his structure.

  • ALE partner profile setup for diff. IDOC extension

    Hi,
We have three extensions of IDOC type HRMD_A06 and message type HRMD_A. In one of the extensions segment IT0002 is extended.
In the partner profile extension is not specified. Due to this when the IDOC is generated Custom segment is not getting picked up.
I pu the extension in the partner profile then it woks fine.
But I do not want disturb the existing profile setup. Is there any option in WE20 where we can define two profiles with one message type, basic type and different extensions.
Also if we define the custom message type then distribution model and the partner profile needs to be generated for the new custom message type.
    Appriciate quick response.
