Method to load a client demo in SSM 7.0

hello all
I would like to show a demo of SSM 7.0 to a client. Can there be a method to load the demo without having the Netweaver installed on the client machine ? I would like to show the basic features of SSM ie. the front end and the Entry and Approval. I heard there is a way to load a client demo for SSM 2007 version. does it also work for SSM 7.0 ?

Vijay,
Your best approach would be to have a VM of SSM on your laptop, since you need 64bit to run Netweaver CE and I am assuming you have a 32bit laptop. And you do have to have Netweaver CE installed for SSM 7.0 to run.
SSM 2007 could run on a 32bit machine and did not need Netweaver CE. Unfortunately, maintenance has ceased for SSM 2007 as of March 31, 2009. There are also significant differences between the 2007 and 7.0 versions, in the interface and the some additional tools, including a HTML Cube Builder, so you shouldn't be showing a client 2007.
When putting your VM together, remember that the HTML Cube Builder, the Diagram Manager, and the BI Connector are all separate installations in addtion to SSM 7.0.

Do you mean "how to add a jar to the classpath at runtime"? Can't be done without using a classloader, typically URLClassLoader or a subclass thereof. Why you want to not use the proven method is beyond me. Presumably because you don't understand classloading. In which case, forget it.

Yes looks like it. The link is often down. You can load the war from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/downloads/index.html and run it in your jdev.

Tomcat 6 - Deployment of the ADF Rich Client Demo Fails

I have been able to deploy and run the ADF Rich Client Demo in the embedded Oracle Weblogic server and a standalone Weblogic server.
However, when I deploy the application to an instance of Tomcat 6 (6.0.18) I get the following:

Thanks for the pointer.
I located the missing libraries by finding those that looked like the ones you recommended. The locations can be found by looking them up in the JDeveloper project Libraries and Classpath (click on an entry and select the view button):
jsf-ri-12.war
jsf-ri.jar
jsf-api.jar
glassfish.jstl_1.2.0.1.jar
I copied these to the tomcat-6.0.18\lib level rather than putting them in the project lib.
Works great.

How can I detect an image is loaded in client's browser

In my jsp page, I have a number of <img> to load, however I would like to jump to another page only after all the <img> are sucessfully loaded in client's browser. Is there any way I can accomplish this by either JSP or java script or any other means ?? My target clients mainly use IE5.5+

TP4 / ADF Rich client demo just downloaded from otn / 41 compiling errors !

I just downloaded ADF Riche client demo and installed it jdev tp4.
Rebuild causes 41 compilation errors and the application is not runnable.
Is it a way to solve this ?
Some of the errors:

                        iii>select connection type -- if you want to connect client database then- select EZ connect other wise select tns
                        iv>test the connection- then you will get connection succeed.
                        v> then click ok

You do not need to do anything in VS. You do need to configure both tnsnames.ora files, because the drivers do not share any data.

MAPI profile configuration in outlook is working fine.but when we try to configure POP3 in outlook ,without SMTP authentication it is fine.
But when we enable SMTP authentication ,it is getting the following error

This worked for me today, as I had the same issue.
I had to set encryption to TLS to get it to work, and the server names as yahoo.co.uk...
In Outlook 2013, click File | Add Account.
Select Manual setup or additional server types.
Click Next.
Select POP.
Click Next.
On the “Account Settings” page, enter your account settings:
Your Name: The name you want to show when you send email.
Email address: Your full Yahoo email address.
Account Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
User Name: Your Yahoo ID.
Password: Your Yahoo account password.
Leave the “Require logon using Secure Password Authentication” option unchecked.
Click More Settings.
Click the Outgoing Server tab.
Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box.
Click Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click the Advanced tab. Enter advanced information:
Incoming server (POP3) port: 995
Select This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
Outgoing server (SMTP) port: 465, 587, or 25
Set the encryption type to SSL or TLS
Set your desired server timeout and delivery options.
- We recommend leaving a copy of messages on the server.
Click OK.
Restart Outlook.
Click Send/Receive All Folders.
You can now retrieve emails from your Yahoo Mail account in Outlook 2013.

Hiding business-logic methods from the SOAP Client

Hello,
Is there any way to hide a method from the SOAP Client.
For Example, Lets say I have two methods in my object Foo. And the client of this web-service can create Foo thru SOAP API. The method are:
public String getName();
public Group getGroup();
I want the SOAP client to see the Foo object only with getName() and not getGroup().
Can I control this thru Java2Wsdl or something else?

You can use source2wsdd with @wlws:exclude tag for the methods you want to hide.

How to load MI Client on blackberry stimulator

Hi Sandeep,
I do not think this is possible to run MI Client on a blackberry (OS, Memory and so on), as MI Client only runs on PPC2003SE with at least 64 mb. Check out the PAM in service marketplace for mi client.
I guess you mix up Mobile Sales Online running on Blackberry, but here the appp is running server side (J2EE / WebDynpro )and BB is only rendering HTML pages.

Loading sql client oci.dll failed

I am trying to install SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70 on Windows Server 2000, database Oralce 9.2 and I want to install entire SAP system in 1 Computer.
I have been installed Oracle 9.2 and SAP's center service successfully.
But when i install SAP's database service, when SAPinst run to the Database load (post processing) (R3load jobs: finishing SAPVIEW), it throws error as below and
teminated.
at brconnect.log, the B0999E Loading sql client oci.dll failed -check oracle configuration
i checked connection with D3TRANS -D,
but there was no problem ....
please tell me the answer

700 Brtools are only working in a standard environment on Oracle 10. Technical there is a possibility to run 700 Brtools with an Oracle 10 instant client against a Oracle 9.2 database, but this setup is not standard, needs some more manual changes and is therefore not supported.
640 Brtools are designed and compiled for working with Oracle 9.

Adf faces rich client demo

I have created the adf faces rich client demo application in
jdeveloper 11g (11111.0) as explained in the docs .But, I am getting error at the following line in index.jspx

Thanks for your reponse. I'm actually pointing my browser to http://localhost/adffacesdemo/faces/index.jsp. But the Request URI is showing in error message as /adffacesdemo/index.jsp.
I'm pretty new to ADF, Am I missing something to set in the project properties.
