Middleware products install process questions

Hello,
I have to install middleware products (OID, OAM, OID, SOA, ...) on my configuration.
I first install Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure 12c, then I ran $MW_HOME/oracle_common/bin/rcu in order to create database schemas (Oracle AS Repository Components only).
Now, I have following questions :
1) As my policy is to create one domain per product, do I have to create an infra_domain or not?
2) Do you think this installation chronology is correct?
a) Install all middleware products.
b) Run rcu for each product.
c) Create all products domains.
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Yes Weblogic 12C would work with HTTP Server 12 .
Yes it is  necessary to install WLS 10.3.6 because the 11g products which are Identity and Access Manager, Internet Directory, WebCenter would only be supported with 10.3.6.
So it is mandatory to install Weblogic 10.3.6 in a separate the Middleware Home.
Regards,
Prakash.

  • Can same os user be used to install all fusion middleware products?

    hi
We are using "oracle" os user as database owner for R12 EBS.
We now want to install collab suite & application server (AS) to later integrate these with EBS.
Can we use the same "oracle" user to install colab & AS.
Is it like each fusion middleware product should be installed with separate users or can be same.
    Thanks

Here's the real deal from Adobe's site:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331297.html
It explains how to do an install from the command line that will install the Suite silently, and with the options you choose, you just have to copy the appropriate files, and create a .xml file to control it.
You then push the file to the machines that need to install it and then send the Unix command to run it on them all.
This is going into my Rollout plan for the next time, instead of doing it the slow way (Copy the installers all at once and start them one by one on each machine).
Come to think about it, you could probably mount a remote volume, and then order the machines to run the installer from there (Only if you have a seriously robust network for the machines).
Hope this helps anyone else that's not on a deadline that's already passed.

  • 11gR2 em install / config question.

We just loaded 11gR2 onto a virtual server running Win 2008 Server R2. During the installation of the database,
I received 5 or 6 missing file messages and I told the installer to ignore and continue. One of those files was
    dbhome_1\...\em.jar.
Will this preclude me from getting em up? Should I deinstall/reinstall the 11gR2?
When I ran emctl start dbconsole I received this message:
    can't locate CompEMdbconsole.pm in @inc <@inc contains ..(list of files).......emctlCommon.pm line 598
From this question you'll probably surmise that I'm relatively inexperienced.
Suggested reading info is always appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I used dbca to create a database which I had thought was done
during the original install. It ran forever and eventually gave me an error message
'Error Instantiating OC4J files'. When I looked in the emconfig.log file, there were
several missing xml files in E:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oc4j\j2ee\
    OC4J_DBConsole\config\
    jms.xml
    rm1.xml
    http-web-site.xml
    server.xml
In fact, the 'config' folder was empty. Going back to my original question regarding
those missing files, why would they be missing? Is the oem a separate install
process or is it done when the 11g database is installed?
    Thanks, Ron

  • The dmg files have downloaded to the wrong folder - not finished with the install process

The dmg files have downloaded to the wrong folder - I am at the part of the download/install process where the "Welcome" screen appears asking for me to agree to the license agreement.  Somewhere on your site, I read that they should NOT go to the applications folder but to the "Users" folder. Can/should I move/drag the folder with the dmg files into the "Users" folder"? If so, before or after I complete the install? I am running MAC OSX 10.7.4 on a MAC Mini.
Also, when the trial period is over, I will use the license number for the purchased software disks, should the dmg's/folders then be moved to the application folder or stay in the "users" section? I have Purvhased Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10, but somewhere on your site it was suggested to download them instead and use the license code at the appropiate time. If someone can help with these questions, I would appreciate it. Thank you

    Hi,
In the Welcome screen, you can accept the license agreement and can go ahead with the installation. You will be asked for the serial number. If you don't have one, install it as a trial application. By default, it's installed in the Applications folder. However, you can change the installation folder in the third screen, if you have a reason. Please see the screenshot below:
After installing, you can't move application to a different directory by dragging. You need to uninstall and install it again in the folder of your choice.
    Thanks,
    Sunil

  • SLES10 SP4/OES2 SP3 32 bit Clean Install - Basic Questions

    Hi everyone.
I am now an expert in installing the above software and ending up with a server which does not work as we require. Must be something I am doing wrong. Hope someone can spot it.
Have installed and supported Netware servers for 25 years without major problems. Decided now to move to SLES because Novell say we should and we need Groupwise 12 to replace GroupWise 8.
The operational environment we are targeting is an 80 user edirectory/NDS based single tree, single context containing two Netware 6.5 SP8 HP Proliant servers running uncomplicated file and print services , NSS volumes, Groupwise 8, DHCP, ifolder, Quickfinder and the like, spread across the two servers. It all works a treat. Client PCs are are all XP Pro with Novell client software.
The idea would be to replace one of the two Netware servers first with a SLES/OES server and then the second Netware server with a second SLES/OES server and move GroupWise functionality to one of the SLES/OES servers. Ideally users would continue to log on using their eDirectory accounts without noticing anything was going on in the background.
The test environment we have set up is a 5 user NDS/eDirectory single tree, single context already containing a single Netware 6.5 SP8 Proliant server running file and print, NSS volumes etc and Groupwise 8. Into this tree we are trying to install a 32 bit server with a empty 36 GB SCSI disc running SLES 10 SP4 with OES2 DP3 as an add in, with NSS data volumes.
Because it only takes a few hours to do we have repeatedly run the SLES 10/OES2 install (probably about 9 times!) with minor variations to see whether we can end up with a properly configured SLES/OES server but there is always one problem or another.
The major problem we have is how to configure NSS data volumes on the SLES server and how to allow users to be validated against their eDirectory entries and knowing whether the test server is 'good to go'.
The process we followed for each test install, after checking edirectory was clean and removing any entries placed in the tree by earlier attempts to install the SLES server in the same tree were:
    1. Boot the SLES 10 SP4 32 DVD (downloaded ISO and burnt DVD) and selected Installation.
    2. Followed the prompts on time zone and language etc and selected i386 OES CD (also downloaded ISO and burnt) as the Software Add-In.
    3. Loaded SLES DVD and OES CD as and when requested
    4. At the Partitioning stage we selected the EVMS proposal, and at the Software selection stage selected the base software, file server Role, Documentation, DHCP, eDirectory, iFolder, iPrint, Quickfinder, NSS and LDAP.
    5. Miscellaneous errors would appear or not appear during the eDirectory stage (eg LUM error, or iFolder error) but the eDirectory stage would still seem to complete OK and get ticked.
    6. The system would then reboot and appear to come up OK.
HOWEVER, we are not convinced we have created a fully working reliable server.
    and
SPECIFICALLY we are unable to create NSS volumes and we cannot logon users via their eDirectory accounts.
NSSMU shows a single device sda (33.92 Gb) and three partitions sda1 (70Mb), sda2 (31.91GB), and sda3 (1.94GB). sda2 seems to contain all the 'spare' space on the disk (type Linux LVM) but says there is no spare space to create our NSS partitions.
iManager cannot see any devices to configure NSS data volumes on the SLES server but it connects OK
NSSCON status seems to show NSS to be running
    EVMSGUI shows /dev/evms/lvm2/system/ro at 10 Gb, /dev/evms/lvm2/system/sw at 2GB and /dev/evms/sda1 at 70 Mb
    So my questions are:
    Does the above look right?
Why cannot we get at the spare disk space to set up NSS volumes? Did the EVMS proposal grab it all and if so how do we get it back?
Did not selecting the EVMS partitioning proposal do everything needed to run NSS?
[There seems to be some suggestion in the several hundred pages of SLES, OES and NSS Guides, Installation manuals, Configuration manuals etc that we have studied over several days, that we now have to edit a fstab file to make it work properly (Really? in this day and age where clicking on Setup.Exe will configure a fully working Windows server) Is that so? Is there anything else we need to do?]
How do we get the users to access their NDS accounts to log into SLES and Netware?
How do we know the server is OK for operaational use and 'works' ?
    HELP!!!

You are partially correct. Admins who used NSS on NetWare likely did
install NSS on OES Linux but I suspect they used a separate drive for
NSS either by installing an additional drive, by carving out a chunk of
space on their RAID array and assigning it to a separate LUN, or by
running OES in a VM where storage space on a single disk/array can
    appear as separate drives.

    Semantics!
    IDEAL = Recommended; EVMS != IDEAL; EVMS != Recommended;
IMO, Novell recognised that they had to provide a way for customers to
install NSS on a system that only had a single disk and provided this
procedure as a workaround. By the way, they also support 2-node
clusters but they aren't recommended either. I have also seen cases
where a supported configuration was deemed no longer to be supported as
NTS became aware of additional complications.
My point (and Simon's and ab/Aaron's) is this: Just because it is
supported doesn't mean you should do it. If we can agree on this point,
I'll try to help you to get it working. The last thing I want to do is
give others the impression that by helping you find a solution we think
    this is a good idea!!!

Yes, NSS requires the volume manager to be EVMS and not LVM!

But you have not left *any* unpartitioned free space!

    True.

Let's look at the default proposal. This is *not* what you have.
    > Table A-1 Default EVMS Proposal for Devices over 20 GB in Size
    >
    > Device Size Type Mount Point
    > /dev/sda1 70.5 MB Ext2 /boot
    > /dev/sda2 14.9 GB Linux LVM
    > /dev/evms/lvm2/system 14.9 GB EVMS lvm2/system
    > /dev/evms/lvm2/system/root 10.0 GB EVMS /
    > /dev/evms/lvm2/system/swap 1.1 GB EVMS swap
A single (SATA/SAS/SCSI) drive will be known as sda (/dev/sda).
/dev/sda1 is the first partition. In the example and in your
configuration this is the /boot partition. In both cases it is 70.5 MB.
/dev/sda2 is the second partition. The partition uses LVM so logical
volumes of various sizes can be created within the partition. The total
size of all logical volumes cannot be larger than the size of the
    partition.
    In the above example:
    /root is 10.0 GB and swap is 1.1 GB. This leaves: 14.9 - (10.0 + 1.1) =
3.8 GB of additional space within /sda2 which can be used to create
    additional logical volumes. Furthermore sda1 + sda2 use only ~ 15 GB.
Only 15 GB of the disk has been allocated. The remainder of the disk is
*unallocated* and *unpartitioned*. Presumably, it was left that way so
that the space could be used for NSS.
In your case: sda2 is 31.91 GB
This does not follow the Default EVMS Proposal for Devices over 20 GB
in Size. Either YaST did not allocate space according to the default
proposal or you changed it. Either way, sda2 (+sda3) consume *all* of
the available disk space. It is no wonder that there is no space
    available for NSS!
    > What do you reckon???
I reckon that something went wrong along the way. If you did not
specifically change the default allocation yourself, then consider this
one example of kinds the things that can happen when one tries to
exploit seldom used, but supported, features!
It looks like it is time for yet another installation. This time, make
sure you leave enough unpartitioned space on the drive for NSS and let
me know how you make out.

  • Setup has detected you already have a more functional product installed....

Ok, have adobe standard XI. end user needs Pro to redact sections of pdf's.
paid 199.00 for digital upgrade from standard to pro. download...execute...
error on starting setup. setup has detected you already have a more functional product installed....installation will now terminate.
I have 2 choices. the Go to hell adobe your product dont work, and process a refund.
    or
try to get phone technical support.
Honestly why does adobe make it so difficult to work with them. My company needs digital signatures and i'd never use adobe. Adobe support is the worst in the IT industry imo and apparently their software developers cant determine that Pro is and UPGRADE from standard.
if anyone understands a work around i'd be interested in hearing but i can't say i've ever had an efficient experience with adobe and i wish i could find an alternative for adobe acrobat pro.

First you are attempting to install Acrobat Pro XI over Acrobat Standard XI and it's throwing an error that you have a more capable product.  While not the most elegant or even correct message IMHO what it means is that you can't install the same version of Pro over Standard. If they were different versions (ie. Acrobat Pro XI over Acrobat Standard X ) then it would work.   There are good reasons for this installation error, but let us try to get you to the place where you can actually get the work that you need to get done accomplished.
You can use a virtual machine like VMWare, VirtualPC, Parallels, or Oracle VirtualBox to host another Windows instance and load Adobe Acrobat Pro on that vm.  These are really the best way to keep things on the same machine and have both as separate usable installations.  In all cases, you provide the Windows installation media. The price of the VM software varies from free to some reasonable prices.   Your choice though.
VMWare is a purchased product Windows and Mac:  http://www.vmware.com
Parallels is a purchased product for Mac only:  http://www.parallels.com
VirtualPC is downloadable from Microsoft at no cost:  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3702
Oracle VirtualBox is downloadable from Oracle at no cost: https://www.virtualbox.org
And one more thing... you need to contact Adobe Customer service because you should be using the full Acrobat XI installer with a full blown installer Serial Numberand not the upgrade installer with an upgrade serial number.

  • Reprocessing of Production order/Process order

    Hi friends,
Can anybody explain me what is reprocessing of production order.
Plz explain me in a step by step manner.
    Thanks very much.
    Kind Regards

    Hi Arun Kumar,
    Reprocessing
    Use
In the area of confirmation, you can separate confirmation entry from processing. As a result, errors may occur when confirmations, or the processes that follow them, are posted. You can eliminate these errors by reprocessing them. The following reprocessing functions are available:
    Confirmations
    Actual costs
    Goods movements
    Reprocessing Confirmations :
    Use
You use this function to process confirmations for which errors occurred as they were being automatically processed. With this function, you can either delete or, if possible, eliminate the errors and post the confirmations again.
Confirmations with errors can arise if they were entered in one of the following ways:
Upload from a PDC system (see Upload)
Online entry ( Fast Entry or Mass Processing)
    Entry via BAPI interface
    Possible errors include:
Order does not exist (for entry via PDC system, BAPI interface)
    Order was locked
    Sequence of time events incorrect
    Individual capacity does not exist
Work center or personnel number does not exist
    Features
    Reprocessing has the following advantages:
    Selection
On the initial screen, you can enter your selection criteria for selecting the confirmations that you want to reprocess. Possible selection criteria are: Production order, plant, confirmation, WBS element, sales order, MRP controller, work center, created by, created on.
    Navigation
The screen for reprocessing confirmations is split into two areas:
    Overview list of the confirmations
Detail screen for the selected confirmation
In the standard setting, the overview list is on the left and the detail display of the confirmation is on the right. To change the position of the overview list, choose  (move the list in an anti-clockwise direction, select the position of the overview list). This last setting is saved for the particular user who created it and is used again the next time the function is called up.
    Reprocessing
The confirmation that you have chosen from the overview (cursor position) is displayed in the detail screen. In the detail screen, you can remove the error in the confirmation.
The following confirmations can be reprocessed:
    Order confirmation
    Operation confirmation
    Time event confirmation
    Activity confirmation
The layout of the detail screen is determined by the confirmation that you are currently processing. The layout can be set up flexibly for an operation confirmation (see Single Screen Entry).
    Display error
To display a long text about the error for each confirmation, position the cursor on the confirmation and choose .
    Check confirmation
You can check one or more confirmations. To check confirmations, select them and choose . In the Status field on the overview list, the result of the check is displayed with a symbol.
    Delete confirmation
If a confirmation is not to be posted because, for example, it has entered the SAP System by mistake, you can delete it. To do this, select the confirmation and choose . The confirmation is flagged for deletion and is deleted when you save.
    Delete a line
To delete confirmations from the overview that you do not want to process at the moment, choose . The confirmation is, however, retained for reprocessing at a later stage.
    2.Cost Determination Error Processing
    Use
You use this function to gather information about errors in cost determination and if necessary to repeat it.
If errors occurred when determining actual costs online, you can decide whether or not the confirmation and the error records are saved. If you are using Decoupling Confirmation Processes, the errors are recorded during the execution of the background job or during updating.
    Features
    This function includes:
An error log which displays the cost determination errors in detail
Errors are, for example: missing activity prices, invalid cost centers or incorrect assignment of an activity type to a cost center.
    Rerunning cost determination
    Starting a New Costing Run

           8.      Choose  (Execute).
           9.      Select the confirmation and choose  (Save).
    Failed Goods Movements Processing :
    Use
This function allows you to process goods movements that failed when posting confirmations. After correcting any errors that occurred, you can then post the goods movements a second time.
    Features
    This function includes:
    Detailed display of errors
Errors can be caused by insufficient information such as missing storage locations or missing batch numbers. Errors can also include locked material data, insufficient stock, or attempts to post goods movements in the wrong accounting period.
Opportunity to correct failed goods movements
Option of posting goods movements a second time
    Reprocessing Goods Movements
           1.      Choose either
¡        Production orders: Logistics ® Production ®  Shop Floor Control ® Confirmation ® Reprocessing ® Goods Movements

           2.      Enter your selection criteria:
           3.      Choose  (Execute).
           4.      Select the goods movement that you want to reprocess.
           5.      Choose  (Display Errors) to display the errors that have arisen, in detail. To leave the message, choose  (Continue).
           6.      Select the required goods movements and make the necessary changes (for example, Edit ® Replace ® Storage location).
For example, you can delete incorrect goods movements.
When incorrect goods movements are deleted, the system does not carry out an automatic adjustment of reservations.
           7.      Choose  (Save) to restart the execution of goods movements.
When you are reprocessing the goods movements for the confirmation, you can go to the goods movements overview.  Choose  Change Details, to change the goods movements.
Hope this details is enough for clearing your doubt.
Revert if any doubt and reward if useful.

  • Interoperability of Fusion Middleware Products.

    Hi all,
I have following scenario where I am looking for some good suggestions.
I have a cluster of 4 weblogic servers 10.3.5 where need to install Oracle Identity Manager 11.1.2 (11gR2) along with OBIEE 11.1.1.6 (11gR1) under the same Middleware Home.
Following are the points to be considered for this installation.
1- As per the documentation provided by oracle for interoperability
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/doc.1112/e29569/interop_11g.htm#BCEJEFAF
Section 3.3.1, “When installing Oracle Fusion Middleware products, be sure that each Middleware home you create contains only products that are at the same version or patch set.”
The reason is given as *“Each product has its own maintenance schedule and it is possible that future interoperability issues could result.”*
Further in section 3.4.2 it is mentioned *“When you configure a domain, ensure that all products configured within the domain are at the same patch set.* For example, do not configure Oracle Identity and Access Management 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) in the same domain with Oracle SOA Suite 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.0).”
2- Since SOA is still having version 11.1.1.6.0(11gR1) and is required for the IDM it is mentioned that “One exception to this rule is the installation of Oracle SOA Suite 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.0) in the same Middleware home as Oracle Identity Manager 11g Release 2 (11.1.2). Oracle Identity Manager is one of the Oracle Identity and Access Management products. It requires Oracle SOA Suite.”
3- Please also see section 3.4.3 of the same document, that stats ”Oracle often releases Oracle Identity Management and Oracle Identity and Access Management products on a schedule different from the schedule for the other Oracle Fusion Middleware products. As a result, it is common to use a different release or patch set of an Oracle Identity Management or Oracle Identity and Access Management product with your Oracle Fusion Middleware products, as long as they are not configured within the same domain. For example, you can use Oracle Identity and Access Management 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) products with your Oracle SOA Suite 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.0) products, if they are in separate domains. In these scenarios, the Oracle Identity and Access Management products are typically installed on a separate host and in a separate Middleware home.”
4- OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 also requires components from the SOA 11.1.1.6.0 e.g OWSM Policy Manager.
Now, for the time being as per the document it is possible for me to install OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 (11gR1), SOA 11.1.1.6.0(11gR1) and IDM 11.1.2(11gR2) under the same middleware home having separate domains , the issue is how to avoid the compatibility issues in future since the OBIEE, SOA and IDM are having independent upgrade cycle and patch release schedule. If any patch / upgrade is released and required to be installed for any of the above products it might put the remaining products in incompatible state hence rendering them dysfunctional?

Will the 521 APs work with the 2112 controller?
    No.
Are there any cheaper APs than the 1140AG that will work with the 2112 controller?
You could try the 1130.  1140 supports 802.11n while 1130 is a/b/g only.
Is the 1240AG a good choice for a non-climate controlled warehouse environment?
The 1240, like the 1130, supports a/b/g only while the 1250 supports a/b/g/n.  The newer 1260 is controller-based only.  The 1240, 1250 and 1260 use external antennae that's an OPTION.

  • Is the Arch install process the same as Mint's?

1.)Taking into consideation that it took me a few trys to even register for the forum (facepalms) and that I have only ever been a Mint user, how does the Arch install process compare to that of Mints?
2.)Will the install for a duel boot with Windows 7 be just as easy with Arch as it is with Mint?
3.)Are my questions an indication that I am probably not ready for Arch? (laughs)
4.)I really only use the Linux half of my duel boot when I am on unsecure networks while travleing and it makes me feel safer etc.. and when I do use it it's really just for browsing the internet. Should I just stick with Mint if thats all I really do?
I have heard only good things about Arch and if it's not going to make me want to rip out my hair, I would certinly like to reaplce Mint with Arch. Thank you for your time and help.

I came from Mint to Arch, via Debian and LFS. With regards to Grub, I'm still using the same grub installed by Mint two years ago, even though I no longer have Mint on the system. However, I do use a separate /boot partition and I'm comfortable editing grub.cfg directly when required. It does, however, mean that I never have to worry about adding a new OS for dual boot. Having said that, it's certainly not something I would suggest to anyone with limited experience.
Don't let others put you off with the "Arch is high maintenance" thing. If I'm honest, I don't find Arch significantly more high maintenance than any other Linux distro, though certainly during install and initial set up it helps if you have a reasonably good understanding of how the system is configured. Whereas the likes of Mint and other pre-built general distros have most of the system configuration done for you out of the box, on Arch you have to walk the extra mile and do it yourself. Linux is like women. The more you have to do to get them, the more you will get out of them in the end
Nevertheless, I fully agree with the "Test in a VM and get comfortable" philosophy first. This will help when you eventually come to a full install significantly. I did two test installs before a complete one, noting down where I had to pay particular attention. Also make sure that you don't need any firmware files, especially for network, when installing for real, or at least get the files and put them on a USB stick. Nothing worse than installing a system them not having any network to get the firmware required to get the network working. Catch 22 anyone?

  • Production release process using headstart.

    Hello,
I am completley new to headstart. I have been given a new project to work on which has forms 9i, desginer 9i, oracle 9i AS and headstart 6.5.3.0 for 9i.
I would like to know how do I go about using headstart to generate forms. Specifically, I would like to know how do I develop using headstart and then deploy them to test and production environment. Do I need to install headstart( Middle tier and database objects ) in my production setup ?
I would highly appreciate if anybody can me a brief overview of development and production release process using headstart.
    Many thanks,

    Hi,
The headstart user guide probably has all the info you need. Specifically Part VI, Deploying your Applications, is just what you're looking for. You can find the user guide (along with other useful documentation in the <hsd65_home>\docs directory.

    Hi Drgeert-
The hub may not be broken per se, but Apple has made adjustments to the limits on current that can be drawn from ports.
You probably need a new hub.

  • 2 products installed in this Oracle Home

Our security scanner is indicating that our Oracle 10g install has a vulnerability that should have been address with the install of CPUApr2011.  Our server is patched with every 10g CPU until end of life in Aug 2013, so I know it is a false failure.  But one question that I have is that the opatch lsinventory command indicates that I have 2 products installed in my Oracle home:
    Installed Top-level Products (2):
    Oracle Database 10g                                                                    10.2.0.1.0
    Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Patch Set 4                           10.2.0.5.0a
There are 2 products installed in this Oracle Home.
What is that actually telling me?  Do I actually have 2 installs of Oracle in that home?
    Thanks in advance

You have installed 10.2.0.1.0 released base, and over this 10.2.0.5. You release is 10.2.0.5.
    You can verify this by
    i) from sqlplus execute at command line "sqlplus -version"
ii) into the database "select * from v$version"

  • Install Process

I don't know how long this has beeng going on, but what moron decided it was a good idea to piggyback McAfee security scans by default during the install process? Sure, make it an option, but don't make it the default one. Don't waste my time. I understand marketing, but packaging two disparate products together in the hope that a user will accidentally install something is unacceptable. Adobe is a (semi) respectable company--act like it.

I found the problem. So I guess disregard this message. :)
The problem was that sendmail was on using the smtp port. Go figure.

  • Cannot download an app from the app store on ipad2, the installing processes all pause with the "waiting....." sign under the app logo.  Anyone please help how to solve this.

I cannot download any app from the AppStore on my ipad2 v5.1
The installing processes always stop with the sign "waiting......." and didn't show any progress at all
Anyone ,please help me solve the problem, thanks

The ipad question was someone else's.  I have no problem with any other device (laptop, Nook, PS3, Android daughter's phone) at home or work.  Just my iphone.  I tried posting my question a few times and it has yet to show up.  At least this made it online!  I was almost ready to purchase an Ipad3, but this is starting to make a Galaxy Tab look pretty good!
This problem seems way too common to be a fluke!  My search results yielded- http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oG7hsbdq1PzQMA1N5XNyoA?p=IOS%205%20apps%20 waiting&fr2=sb-top&fr=chr-hp-psg&type=HPNTDF&type_param=HPNTDF
I performed a sync last night too!
