  • Question: Migration from Tibco BW to SAP XI

I have been actively involved in TIBCO BW projects as project co-ordinator for the past year. Now i am thinking of shifting into SAP XI. I am assuming that SAP XI has the same underlying concept as TIBCO BW. Is my assumption correct? If yes then how hard would it be for me to transfer from Tibco to SAP XI. Please provide appopriate justifications for your answers.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Its very tough to generlize like i remember my present case wherein we upgraded Webmethods landscape and we decided to reuse the existing mapping sheets, that was one Point.
Now it depends on the EAI tool existing in your case for reuseability.
Then, reusing the 3rd party files in intregation,
    Re: XI ABAP Proxy problem
One similar thread i remember was,
    SAP XI versus BizTalk
a discussion on xi and other middleware.
Plus intregation with webservices, RFID etc.(If needed in your case).
I know this is not a specific answer that i have given you, but sharing my thoughts.

  • Sending IDoc from TIBCO to SAP

    Hi,
request is to send IDoc type PURCONTRACT_CREATE01 from TIBCO to SAP.
After sending the data from Tibco there is nothing received in SAP although TIBCO adapter says successfully created.
But no entry in BD87 (IDoc monitor), no entry in SM48 (tRFC queue) on SAP side.
How can I recognize what went wrong - on TIBCO or SAP side?
Shouldn't there be an entry in IDoc monitor at least although content of sender or receiver data or IDoc would be wrong that was sent by TIBCO?
Has the TIBCO adapter to do a kind of commit ?
    Help is highly appreciated.
    thx.
    Achim

    Hi,
Configure the appropriate message type for the partner in the outbound parameter of the partner profile (WE20) . Afterwards reprocess your failed idoc using the program RBDAGAIN
Try Posting the Idoc with the help of WE19 instead of using your report
Status 29 indicates that the Partner Profile is not configured correctly.
As you know the target logical system is nothing but the partner, select that and click on Outbound Parameters and add the message type.
Status 30 indicates that the Idoc has been generated successfully.
Status 03 indicates that the Idoc has been reached Middleware.
Try running the standard program RSEOUT00.
All the Idocs in 30 statuses will change to 03.
To get all the IDOC's in status '03'
    after MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE
    Call FM "EDI_DOCUMENT_DEQUEUE_LATER"

  • Migration from UC4 to SAP CPS

    All Experts,
Currently we are running UC4 for our batch scheduling requirements and are considering to migrate to SAP CPS.
We have around 10K+ jobs to be migrated from UC4 to SAP CPS.
Does SAP provide any migration tool for this? or we have to do it manually?
Kindly suggest any other vital information related to this topic.

    Hello,
Migration services for migrating other scheduler solutions to SAP CPS automatically are available through Redwood Services, they have years of experience in this area. You can contact your account representative on the complete details.

  • Migration from webmethods to SAP PI 7.1

    Hi All,
I need some information on migrating webmethods to PI 7.1.
We have our interfaces currently working in webmethods which call webservices in SAP.Currently legacy systems call SAP webservices through webmethods which we would like to migrate to PI 7.1.
Could I get some information on how to proceed with this?
    1.Could I get the overview
2.Can I import the same structure and mappings into SAP PI?
3.Do I need to recreate the mappings or use the same from webmethods ..if they are XSLT mappings?
4.Can I use the mapping transformation done in webmethods ?
Any thoughts would be of great help
    Thanks,

1)Only XSLT Mapping program can be reused in PI7.1,most of the times without change, sometimes it required change when you have java functions in  XSLT Mapping.
Adjust your XSLT mapping programs compatible to without using XML TOOL kit option in Operation mapping.
    2) To understand the web methods flow , you should have some basic /medium level of knowledge , then you can easily understand the mapping logic implemented in Web Methods.
    3) When you developing interface use Web methods for only mapping logic, donu2019t try to implement the same design what developed in Web Methods. Think PI prospective. The way web methods execute interface is differ compare to PI (execution process).
4)If any java services existing in current web method interfaces, you canu2019t use the same as java mapping program in PI,in web methods we can perform state full operation from java services in web methods. But in PI it is strictly avoided performing state full operation like retrieving the data/sending data to Data base using Java map.
    5) If your client forcing you to use XSLT mappings then only use, else implement the same logic using GUI mapping in PI.
    6) Connecting to SAP systems and non SAP system use Adapters in PI,it is very easy . Follow standard way of communication using PI ,donu2019t try to copy from Web METHODS.

  • Document Migration from CRM to SAP Content Server

We are going live with SAP CRM 7.0 next week. CRM team configured some of applications like ITSM, Change Request Management and Transport Request database also as part of implementation.
We got last minute requirement that CRM team would like to go-live with current configuration with current configuration and eventually they would like to migrate all documents to Content server.
We do not have content server in place yet and planning to implement sometime in Feb.  I am trying to explore ways how we can export existing documents created in CRM and migrate to Content server and link it.
    Any ideas/Suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Miral.

In which repository are the documents currently stored in CRM? Please see if Note 688241 on 'Relocating large SAP Content Server Repositories' could be of any assistance to you.

  • Migration from TIBCO

    Hi,
I need to migrate TIBCO BW interface to Oracle BPEL. I dont have any idea of where to start... Can anyone give me guidelines?
    Regards,
    Sundar

    Hi ,
We are doing a similar activity. On a high level - BPM is what you may consider close to your BW and BPEL is what you can consider close to your iprocess. Now the main difference between SOA Suite and TIBCO is that soa suite is completely SOA based where TIBCO has both SOA and integration layers where APIs come into picture spoiling the very theme of soa. But Oracle SOA Suite has a lot of limitations when compared to TIBCO. Not all the feature of TIBCO are available in Oraclle SOA. The design and the strategy of migration is very closely related to the business logic. One thing you can start lookiing for is - wherever in TIBCO you have got tightly coupled API based integration , please start looking at it as a component and expose the functionality as a web service. This web service u can use in the BPEL for orchestration.
    thanks ,

  • Data migration from an old SAP 4.7-system to an new ECC6.0 System

    Hello,
we have a reengineering-project, where we must migrate the old data from 4.7 to a new ECC6.0 system.
And it is not the same system.
Also there will be some data-mappings at the import.
For the import I thought the LSMW would be good. But how can I make the export??? Have you got an idea?
    Thanks.
    Sylvie

    Hi,
From an experience which I gained after working on same scenario as u stated i can suggest u to follow following 3 steps.
Step1 Extract data into flat file using some extraction report.
Step2 Mapping program which we call as conversion program which will map data field values with proposed new values
Step3 Upload program which we have used our case as BDC reports to upload data into new system. LSMW is not preferred one as while uploading u may come come across various scenarios which are really difficult to handle using LSMW. U can also use BAPI's to upload data.

  • Mygrating Asset GL Balances from Legacy to SAP

    Hello Gurus,
We are Migrating GL balances from legacy system to SAP system.
I would like to know whether there is any other transaction code other than OASV for fixed assets GL migration from Legacy to SAP system. Can we use F-02 transaction code for uploading Asset Balances from Legacy to SAP.
Kindly advice as we have already started Migration process.
    Thanks and regards,
    Vinayak

I have only used transaction code OASV to migrate asset balances.
Is there a particular reason you don't want to use OASV and use F-02 instead?
    Thanks,
    Tammy

  • Migration of "CRONACLE for SAP solutions" to "SAP CPS for Netweaver"

    Hi,
We have standalone  Cronacle/CPS 6.02.  We are in the process of researching about migrating to  "SAP CPS for Netweaver"  like SAP CPS M33. We have the following questions.
1)Is a migration path available to migrate from "CRONACLE for SAP solutions" to "SAP CPS for Netweaver" ?.
2)What are the benefits of going to "SAP CPS for Netweaver" ?.
3)Is the migration can be done by ourselves or any SAP migration consultant is required?.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.
    Raj.

    Hi Laurence, Raj,
This question is very old and I had not seen it before.
To upgrade from CPS 6.0.2 or 7.0.4 to 8.0.0 (aka M33). I do not know if SAP consultancy offers anything for this, you want to check with them. SAP might refer you to Redwood, though.
As for the differences, where do I start ... ;-)
Actually, CPS 8 is a major platform shift. Version 6 and 7 were PL/SQL-based solutions, version 8 is Java-based. You have many more possibilities built-in, such as better XBP 3.0 support, web services, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP PI/XI control, ... the list could go on forever.
Some older platforms (very, very old) are no longer supported, afaik, but you get native z/OS (mainframe) platform agents, AS/400 agents ... the user interface is platform independent, so you can access it from any OS including, but not limited to, Windows, Unix, Linux, and Mac OS X. There is even an iPhone/iPad client.
BTW, I do not know how long version 6 and 7 are supported.
The platform shift means that you might have to use a PL/SQL API in version 8. I guess it depends on how much PL/SQL you use. If most of your jobs are SAP and OS jobs, you would not even need that.

  • Migrate all Open Sales Orders From Legacy System (SAP) To SAP System using

    Hi Experts,
I've to Migrate all Open Sales Orders From Legacy System (SAP) To SAP System using Business Objects with a new SALES ORDER DOCUMENT NUMBER referencing the older one.
I'll get all the required data with field in an excel file.
Does any standard transaction exist for it ? Or how to go ahead with it ?
    Thanks and regards,
    Jyoti Shankar

    Hi
If you are checking for CREATE option then Sales Doc Type
For more Info goto SWO1 transaction -> BUS2032 --> DIsplay --> Execute --> There SELECT the method which you want to perform... There you can fine the MANDATORY parameters also....
Or in DISPLAY mode PLACE Cursor on the Required Method and CLick the PARAMETERS button on toolbar...
That will show the MANDATORY parameters...
    Reward if helpful....

Modified at two places in dialog.xml file, the SAP note doesn't mention "1100" in Dialog.xml as it currently shows in my Dailog.xml ,Not sure if I have to remove that too and start the import again from begening.
While export I had given "1100" as the code page and before starting import I modified the xml by removing the "Type numeric" and later during the import in selection field I couldn't enter the "MDMP" as it is allowing only numeric values.
