  • Forms Migration Document 6i to 10g?

I have searched OTN and Metalink and cannot find a migration document. I'm installing Forms/Reports 9.0.4 on a new server and moving all my 6i forms/reports. Is there a migration document telling me what changes need to be made in forms/reports for 9.0.4?
    Thanks.

For Forms, you can check the Forms Upgrade Center on OTN at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/upgrade/index.html.

  • Migrate documents from Filenet to SharePoint

    Hello,
Does anyone has any idea of tool available in to migrate documents from Filenet to SharePoint? Or is there any API that can help to migrate documents from Filenet to SharePoint?
    Thanks,
    Anna Jhaveri

There is a strong API in SharePoint for importing files but unless you're good with PowerShell or C# then it's not going to be easy. I've no idea what Filenet has. Knowledgelake have plenty of references on Google but other than that it doesn't seem to be
    a common need.

  • SBS2003 Migration Document -- Answer file issue

    Hello all,
I have been working on a SBS2003 to SBS2011 migration.  I am following the migration document v12.05.04 and I am stuck on Page 17.  I have created the answer file as documented, but SBS2011
will not recognize it.  After doing some searching, it appears that SBS2011 only accepts a file called "sbsanswerfile.xml", but the documentation describes a "cfg.ini" file.
And ideas what is up with this?  Documentation error?  Should I just create a similar file in the xml format?
    Thanks.  -Cheers, Peter.

    Hi Peter,
Please confirm whether you refer to the migration guide “Migrating
Windows SBS 2003 to Windows SBS 2011 Essentials”.
If you use this document as reference. Please make sure that you will migrate SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 Essentials
(not SBS 2011 Standard). Meanwhile, please check if you have missed any step.
If this issue still persists, when
SBS2011 Essentials didn’t recognize the answer file, please let me know the complete error message that you can get.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

  • Migrate documents from the windows file server into km

    Hi All,
I have around 100 GB of documents in a file server and i want to migrate the same data in to KM.
I am sure that there should be some standard process to do this, can any one please help me out in solving this.
    Thanks
    Ajay

    Hi Ajay,
what do you mean by migrate? You could use a Windows Filessystem KM-Repository to integrated these files directly into KM (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/e3/92322ab24e11d5993800508b6b8b11/frameset.htm)
Otherwise you could use WebDAV (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/4a/217fb6c33c6748a1715a161ac942cd/frameset.htm, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/9600e5391e25dee10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm) or the Portal Drive (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/c99b91341a6bade10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm) to copy these files in a (for example) DB repository.

  • How to migrate documents from Lotus Notes to Stellent Repository

    Hi All,
I want to migrate almost 5000 documents from Lotus Notes to Stellent Repository. Is there any way to achieve this functionality?
how to integrate both the things please let me know.
    Regards,
    Vishal Shah

    Hey Vishal,
    one approach could be
    1) fetch all the documnets and metadata (wat ever you need) from the Lotus Notes repository using java+Lotus API 2) write a BatchLoad script file using the metadata you have. And then start the batch loader.
    other approach could be to
    1) fetch all the documnets and metadata (wat ever you need) from the Lotus Notes repository using java+Lotus API
    2) Checkthem in using the WSDLs.
There is one thing thought that even i would like to know its which of the two will perform better ?

  • Migrating "Documents" from one user to another without permission issues

    Hi,
I'm facing an issue with permissions on files I have moved from one users "documents" to another users "documents" folder.
To cut a long story short, I have installed a new HD in my iMac and have cleanly installed Snow Leopard. In addition I have created a new user (user1) and have also used time machine to recover my original user files using migration assistant (user2).
I wanted to start off with a fresh user (user1), so wanted to copy specific files across from my old account (user2) but no application files or settings.
I have managed to do this for iPhoto, iMovie, iTunes, Mail, iCal and Address Book, however I'm having issue with my "Documents" folder.
Basically I think I initialy moved the "user2" (old) Documents folder into the "shared user" account, logged into "user1" (new) and copied over the files. I thought it was all good, however when my Wife attempted to duplicate her resume to edit a new version OS X requests the users password, also we are unable to rename an existing file or open the documents then save, as we do not have the correct permissions.
I have looked at the permissions and it shows that
    user2(old) has read/write
    staff has read
    everyone has read
This appears to be the same for all files(except "staff" is replaced with "wheel"). When I add user1(new) read/write to the list and apply to all subfile, it does not update all files. I really don't want to be updating all the files seperatly.
Since doing this I also moved the files back to user2(old) then used "copied" the documents folder in the same way as above. Still the same issue.
Is there a correct way of moving files between users which will remove any permission issues? As I must have done something wrong.
    Thanks
    Chris

To move files from Account A to Account B:
    1) Log in as A
    2) Move all the files to /Users/A/Public (don't move any system-created folders like Documents, Pictures, etc. Just move their contents.)
    3) Log in as B
    4) Navigate with Finder to /Users/A/Public
    5) Drag the files to the Desktop (this will make new copies of them with correct permissions for B)
    6) File the new files away in the appropriate places in B's home folder
    7) Log in as A and delete the original copies of the files from A's home folder
If you have already moved files from A to B the incorrect way (i.e. by using /Users/Shared) and are running into permissions issues, fix them by logging in to an Admin account and entering these two Terminal commands:
sudo chown -R userb ~userb (this one changes ownership of everything in B's home folder to B)
sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~userb (this one ensures that B can read and write to everything in his home folder)

  • How to Migrate documents from Non Kpro to Kpro systems

    Hi,
There are old documents created using Non kpro system and now the requirement is to Migrate it to Kpro system. How to do it.
    Thanks,
    Suresh HP

    Hi Suresh,
If you have data collected at one place then you can upload this data into KPRO by using BDC with help of abap person.
The migration is done thru abap program only. Otherwise write a separate program for migrating from another server to Kpro.
I hope this will resolve the query.

  • How to migrate document hierarchy from DEV to PROD?

Need some suggestions as to migration of the document hierarchy. The migration wizard is great for migration objects such as portlets, but it's cumbersome to migrate the entire document hierarchy from DEV to PROD as we will have to select all the leaves in the hierarchy to retain the tree. Does any one have the similar experience and have some suggestions? Thanks!

  • Migrating documents to second Hard Drive

I bought a new internal hard drive and would like to keep the original drive as a start up drive with all the applications, and migrate all my documents to the new or second hard drive.
At first I thought it would be as simple as copying all the document folders over to the new hard drive. But, then I started wondering about folder structure and the user structure.
So, I'm wondering if there is a protocol for what I want to do? Maybe a link to instructions?
    Thanks
    mp
I'm running OSX 10.5.8 (Mac Pro)

Not to worry. Just drag & drop the folders onto the new drive. Just as a precaution, select a few files with different apps & open the files to ensure they open. Then you can drag the corresponding folders on your old drive to the Trash. Shouldn't be a problem.
Do you have another HD, either internal or external, that you use to backup all your files? You should.
