Migration Errors: ORA-22973:maximum size allowed

I am trying to migrate old Content from Portal 3.0 to Oracle9i AS Portal? And am getting this error:
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 22973:
"CREATE TABLE "WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$" OF "SEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_TYPE" OID "

"E(INITIAL 131072 NEXT 131072 MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS 4096 PCTINCREASE 0 FRE"
"ELISTS 1 FREELIST GROUPS 1 BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT) TABLESPACE "USERS""
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 22973 encountered
ORA-22973: size of object identifier exceeds maximum size allowed.
Back in Febuary I have seen posts (Jay and Rich's) that there were some solutions coming down the pike. Are there any solutions or what can be done to solve the error of maximum size allowance?

What I did was upgrade the initial portal instance with Portal 3.0.6 with the upgrade scripts first. Then import over to a new instance of 3.0.9 with your old content or data. Then, reran the sso_schema script for rebuilding connectivity to the log-in server.

I just encountered the same exact error trying to export a database from one one machine to another. It looks like all the other portal tables imported OK.
Have you found a resolution or does anyone know how to successully create the wwsec_enabler_config_info$ table?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

    ERROR:
    ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (300) exceeded
    how to resolve this problem.it is verry verry urgent.

    Hi
    "Maximum number of processes exceeded" will be alerted when your database has received a request for connection from a process which is beyond the number of processes your database can allow for.
    Please check your database parameters
    show parameters processes
    Couple of options:
    a) If your database has been running for a while and if it's the first time you are recieving this error, please check why all of a sudden more and more processes have been created. You may want to investigate your application, users, etc
    b) If it's a valid request and if it's the case that you haven't really configured enough processes, you will have to increase the PROCESSES parameter in your init file and restart the database. It's not a dynamic parameter. Also, make sure you increase the sessions parameter as well along with the processes.
    Before you do this, you will also have to check if your OS has been configured for increasing the number of processes. Think it's semmsl in Unix.

  • Permanent and temporary partition sizes execeeds maximum size allowed

    I receceivd error 818
    permanent and temporary partition sizes execeeds maximum size allowed on this platform
    I'm currently using TimesTen 32 bit version running Solaris and I increased one of my data storage size
    to
    PermSize=1700
    TempSize-350
    which is around 2G.
    The system has 16G of memory, and the shared memory is set to 0xF0000000 which is almost the max of 32 bit.
    Does anyone know this error is a sytem limit (32bit), or it can be fixed by tuning the system paramter? The system limits section does not have any information on the partition size limit. Anyone has any idea?

    That's correct, the 1 GB limit is specific to 32-bit HP/UX. All other 32-bit Unix/Linux platforms have a maximum size limit of 2 GB and as Jim mentioned this limit is such that:
    PermSize + TempSize + LogBufMB + ~20MB < 2 GB
    If you need anything larger you need a 64-bit O/S and 64-bit TimesTen.

  • VHD Size is Maximum Size Allowed Without Using All Space in OS

    Hello - I have a Hyper-V VM whose maximum size allowed is 700GB. Currently, the VHD file size is 700GB yet the OS is only using ~400GB (300GB free). Shouldn't the VHD size be about 400GB instead of 700? Every other VM I have checked matches the size being
    used in the OS.
    As I was typing this I think I answered my own question. This VM has a fixed size and all of the other VMs we have are dynamic. I assume this is why? It is a SQL server so I guess it is fixed for better performance. I didn't set this up
    Can I safely shrink the VHD down a little bit? When trying to get replicas of this VM, it keeps crashing the VM due to space limitations. It is on its own Cluster Disk but it only has a few GB free which is why I believe it is failing. How much free
    disk space is needed where the VHD is located in order for replication to work?
    This is our SQL server so I am a little cautious in what we do with it.
    Thanks for your help,
    Mike

    Hi Mike ,
    Based on my knowledge for vhd , when you delete a file then this file was not deleted on disk  thoroughly , just give it a deleted tag (the "old space" was not recycled until there is no new space for writing).
    I think you can not make it smaller via shrinking .
    Maybe you can try to compress the vhd file ( "edit disk..."  ), before you doing this please backup your VM first .
     BTW , it is recommended to use fixed disk for SQL server .
    Best Regards

  • Getting error ora-01000 maximum open cursors exceeded

    hello,
    i am building my fist application using eclipse3.3 hibernate 3.2(hybernatesynchronizer as plugin)
    i have a oracle9i like sgbd . when i trying to create my mapping file from eclipse i got this error :
    ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
    i try to increase the number of cursor from the oracleconfiguration file init.ora, i shutdown but the problem still
    i don t know how to solve this problem really.
    i need help.

    Yes, that it what I was asking about.Not that it matters, but I think you misunderstood. I meant "if you ask it to leak resources then it will do so." I wasn't asking what you meant.
    Is there a way to make it explicitly open and close via a single call? Perhaps a configuration option either globably or by method/class?Not as a standard part of Hibernate, no. That said, it's relatively hard to leak anything other than connection objects unless you're really trying hard. There are libraries that you can use to manage the lifetime of the connection (actually the session) object. I like the Spring DAO support classes. Inevitably they cause their own problems for someone who doesn't understand what Hibernate's up to under the covers though.
    Edit: Quick example
    // Bog standard Hibernate
    Session session = sessionFactory.openSession();
    try {
       return (List<Foo>)session.createQuery("from Foo").list();
    } finally {
       session.close(); // If omitted will leak a connection object
    // Using Spring
    return (List<Foo>)getHibernateTemplate().find("from Foo");Things get slightly more interesting if you're using lazy loading and actively want to keep the connection around for longer.

    Are you actually closing the connections, resultsets in all cases?
    From what you've posted you call
    rs_admins.close();but in that method, you propagate any exceptions that occur out to the caller method, which in turn just prints a stack trace.
    So if an exception occurs before you call the rs_admin.close() the result set will never be closed as the statement won't be reached.
    I'd add a speific exception handling routine to the admin_getAdmins() method and include a finally clause to close the result set in all cases. You can still onthrow the exception if you want.
    cheers

  • JDBC Error: ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

    Post Author: prashant
    CA Forum: Information OnDemand
    I successfully created reports using CR4E on windows, deployed JSPS to Websphere running on windows and was able to view a large reports for a using JNDI connection resources to Oracle 10g.
    Every time report is called, it consume 12 cursors from of the database. Open_cursors count is 300. After 24 or 25 iteration of this report, it throws ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded error.
    Has anyone seen this problem, and if so where can I find a hot fix/patch. Any help would very much be appreciated.

    The following code reproduces the problem for me. I thought this was just related to when an exception occurs, and close occurs immediately afterwards. Close finds the exception that occured, and throws it without releasing the resources.
    It's a pain in the ass, that's for sure.

    Okay, I loaded the page under a different name http://abilityaxis.com/test.html. Viewing the source code doesn't show the yellow.
    For demonstration purposes I copied a small amount of the text and changed the colour of what is yellow in Dreamweaver to this pinkish colour (I tried yellow but you couldn't read it)

  • ORA-17070: Data size bigger than max size for this type error

    Hi,
    While importing the mapping from one location to another location, I am getting the error ORA-17070: Data size bigger than max size for this type. Can anyone help me on this.
    Paul

    This error occurs when the incoming data is larger than the size of the column in the expression operator. Solution for this is that you need to set the datatype to that of the source and give in the appropriate size in the expression properties.
    If it is conversion to number (for example) from character then set the datatype to Number and specify the size to 30 or 40 or depending upon the size of the incoming data.
    For any datatype you can set the size till 9999 characters. It worked for me although my source was not as big as yours. I havnt experimented anything larger as this.
    I hope this is what you were looking for.
    If you are able to solve this, please post it here. I may need it at some point of time in the future.

  • Registerschema gives ORA-01792: maximum number of columns...

    Hi,
    DB: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0
    Opp Sys: HP-UX
    I've just increased the size of an XSD we have loaded in a customers database and attempting to reload using dbms_xmlschema.registerschema gives the following error:
    ORA-31084: error while creating table "SOLO"."LetterRoot5799_TAB" for element "LetterRoot"
    ORA-01792: maximum number of columns in a table or view is 1000
    ORA-02310: exceeded maximum number of allowable columns in table

    ORA-06512: at "SOLO.WORK_TEST_LETTERS_XSD", line 23
    ORA-06512: at line 2
    Is there a work around for this?
    Thanks,
    Mike Moore

    Hi! I faced the same problem as author of a thread. At first it was just the same and I used solution that was offered - add attribute xdb:SQLInline="false".
    But now this error (ORA-01792: maximum number of columns in a table or view is 1000) became to rise on element that doesn't have a lot of attributes or subelements that coul exceed limit of 1000! Moreover it is based on complex type that already exists! It was created during another schema registration, which is included in schema that I'm trying to register now!
    Does anyone challenged this problem?
    I use Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.5.0
