Mini Store Doesn't Recommend Based On Selected Track

I really like the Apple Mini Store and how it shows other songs or albums by the same artist that you're playing. What I can't understand is why it makes recommendations on some tracks but doesn't provide any info on others. I can't seem to find any common link to the tracks it finds and the ones it doesn't. For example, I have some tracks where I tell it to download the artwork and it finds the artwork without any problems. But when I look at the Mini Store, it's still showing the generic new release, new songs listing, not recommendations based on the song, album or artist. In fact, I can click on the arrows next to the song name and it takes me to the exact album in the store. I've made sure the spelling of everything on the track is exactly the same as iTunes has it listed but that doesn't even always work. Then there are some tracks which aren't for sale on iTunes but it shows others by the same artist and then of course I also see some that are exact matches but it's very inconsistent.
Any ideas on why it seems to provide recommendations based on some tracks but not others?

... and one more thing. How do I send feedback to Apple regarding this? Previously, I found a "Feedback" page where an email could be sent to the ITunes Dept. Now , I can no longer find it, but rather a Contact iTunes Store Support page

that requires me to select a category and sub-category in order to send a message. My question doesn't really fall into any of the provided Categories, and there doesn't seem to be a general questions category. Just venting. Thanks for listening. I think I'm done now.

Fully close the App Store App. Double tap your home button which will bring the most recently used apps. You'll see the app icon below and a screen shot of the open app page above. With your finger, swipe the open app page upward and the app will close. It's a good idea to regularly close apps when yout using them.
Tap your home button once to bring back your home screen.
App store should operate normally again when you open it.

Separate App Module, View Object based on Select not EO: Best practice?

I have a list of base tables(parameters) that are used everywhere in my application for selection components (List, Combo, Radio).
I'm considering creating a separate app module with a view object based on query for each table.
I have created a BaseTableAM application module for managing those tables, Entity objects and View Objects in update mode.
Those tables are rarely changed.
Example of table:
ItemType
item_type_id = primary key
name = description
In the BasetableAM:
ItemTypeEO entity object
ItemTypeVO updateable view object based on related entity object.
Now in my project I will create combo boxes for selection of the item_type_id.
Separate application module:
SelectionViewAM composed of View Objects based on Select statements and not on Entity Objects.
Example of view object ItemTypeViewVO:
SELECT ItemType.ITEM_TYPE_ID,
ItemType.NAME
FROM ITEM_TYPE ItemType
All view objects in this application module will be read-only and for selection only.
By basing all those View Objects on select statements not based on Entity Objects I suppose there will be no locking and "value changed" management => less overhead.
Is this a good practice?
Being read-only I could have based those View Object on Entity Object with flag updateable set to no, what would you recommend?
By creating a separate Application Module for those selection view objects, I know that update will not be possible.

Are you planning to use this AM as a nested AM inside other application modules?
If you don't the "selection AM" will have its own, separate database connection/transaction.
If you do, it will share connection, transaction with its containing "root" AM.
It may not be relevant to your application, but just realize (which is explained in the article I point to above) that view objects that are not related to entity objects do not "see" pending changes in the current transaction. That feature depends on the VO/EO cooperation. It's fine to build VO's without an EO -- in fact we've made it easier to do this in 10.1.2 in the Design Time wizards -- but you just want to make sure you realize what features it's giving up. If you don't need those EO-related features, then by all means create an Expert Mode VO that's not related to EO's.

You need to purchase the upgrade disk (it is a DVD). Then just put it in and run the installer. When it was first released it was $29 USD, do not know if the price has changed or not.
The usual precautions about backing up your data apply. In fact I would recommend either making a Disk Image of your current boot drive or using something like Carbon Copy Cloner to copy it to an external drive. I upgraded 5 machines from Leopard to Snow Leopard without any issues, but better to be safe than sorry.

How do I turn off the mini store in itunes 7. I don't see any option to get rid of it. I'd like the full screen to be song listings. Thanks

It turns it off as it states when its first turned on...
"Apple does not keep any information related to the contents of your itunes library. You can always turn the MiniStore off by selecting hide MiniStore from the view menu"

App store doesn't work on maverick

I have bought a new iMac 27 inch and the app store doesn't work. I get message of updates available but I can't select or download any app. Googling this learned me other people have the same problem but I have no solution. Can anyone help me ?

Try changing the country setting to something else than where you live. Scroll down to the bottom of the App Store main page and click the flag icon in the lower right.

Data Privacy: Considering to disable store for my kids to avoid mini store

Is there a way to disable my children from enabling the mini store when they are operating their own library without disabling their ability to navigate the real store? Telling apple what they have in their library, what they are clicking on and perhaps playing and telling apple when they do it -- none of apples business unless I consent to it -- and I don't.
I can fix it with training but I find it unfortunate that the mini store can be turned on by them sending information on their library content (as they click library items).
But I do want them to be able to actively browse the store -- there they know they are out shopping AND it doesn't ask them to tell what they are playing or even just looking at in their own library. It only knows what they are browsing over.
I am disappointed with this from Apple. Apple, watch more careful over your consumer friendly image.

Latest download does not activate this by default, however its still very easy to turn on. Also Apple has committed to not using the information uploaded to match store offerings for anything... Thanks again.

Opera TV Store doesn't load - Bravia TV

My tv is connected to the internet (finally, it took forever to get that figured out), and i have access to all the apps. However, the Opera TV store never loads up. I get the splash screen, then the progress bar that goes on and on forever - but the actual store doesn't load. I've done a power reset. This is the only app that's being problematic. It's bumming me out bc I really want hulu (why it's not standard and Crackle is, is beyond me). Help? Model name KDL-40R510C

If you have the HP 2605dn printer attached to the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) (or any router) by Ethernet, then the AEBSn is NOT performing as a Print Server. Instead, the printer itself would have to be configured to provide this service.
I don't have this particular printer, but I do have a network-ready HP Officejet model that I have my network clients (Macs, PCs, & even Linux) connect to. The key is either using the unit's interfact panel to configure the appropriate network settings specific for your network.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

ITunes store doesn't load at all

I have done all the requirements from the other threads but my the iTunes store doesn't load at all. I have restarted, redownloaded, flushed, and have checked the Winsock Providers, but nothing has worked. Please help!!

A solution for your issue has been suggested.
We now have a fix for the itunes conflict you were experiencing. Please be aware that this process will require you to reboot your computer twice.
First we will need to ensure that you have the latest version of CloudCare installed on your computer. You can do this by following the steps below. If you currently have CloudCare installed this will overwrite the version you have but you will not lose any of your settings.
Visit https://www.bsecure.com/MyAccount/Login.aspx and login in with your email and your password.
Click Download Client Software.
Click on Download.
Select Run or Open when prompted. If your only option is to Save, please click Save. Double-click Install_CloudCare.exe once the download has completed.
Restart your computer when prompted.
Now you will need to run the Itunes fix. Please ensure you only run this file once,

ITunes store doesn't load correctly with iTunes9.

Since upgrading to iTunes9, iTunes store doesn't load correctly on my machine running Windows XP Pro SP3. When I go to the iTunes store, it connects and the images are large and don't load up so I can see the entire store. And when scrolling down, the images disappear for a while then show up and titles are just plain text. Any help?

Nonsense. NetNanny was disabled on my PC (trial had expired) yet I still had this problem. It's some sort of conflict in the way Apple are using the Windows IP stack when NetNanny's interceptor is installed.
Apple have documented it here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123 and their recommendation is "remove the 3rd party software". Nice.
NetNanny's site has a suggestion that you add "the executable" but I'm not sure if they mean itunes.exe or apsdaemon.exe to the Security Exceptions List. I haven't tried that as I simply removed it.

Mini displayport doesn't work any more

My Mini Displayport doesn't work any more with VGA, DVi, just with the Apple Cinema Display. It started one week ago, I've tried many different monitors, but it seems to be that it only works with the Apple Cinema Display, Thunderbolt Ethernet Adapter is also accepted but nothing else. PRAM, SMC, booting from an Harddisk with Mavericks (I'm on 10.10.2), Safe Mode, nothing works. I have a Macbook Air, 11 " from Mid 2013, no warranty any more. Today I was at Bense, a german reseller (thank you guys for your effort), they did the same tests and some more, but also found nothing. Is there anyone with the same problems and a solution for it?

Does it work on the other command key? I typically use the one to the left of the space bar, and at one point of time, it stopped working. but then i started to use the command key to the right of the keyboard which worked. but, then i started using the one that wasn't working, and just clicking slowly rather than quickly, and now it seems to work again. Don't know why . . . but that is what happened for me.
