I need a expert advice.
Here is what is hapenning in our organization project.
We are converting the reorganizing the Company code, wbs element etc in brief consolidation of COMPANY CODE.
how are we doing ?
we have taken a mirror copy of the prd.
and going to run all the core conversions program in mirror.it takes 4 days to do all the consolidation.
Delta Issue FOR SALES ORDER
so while mirroring we are missing the delta which is happening on the original prd FOR SALES ORDER.
WE WANT TO HAVE A REPLICATION STRATEGY TO REPLICATE SO in the mirror for the delta period.so that after 4 days we are in synch.

What I am trying to point out is that your .NET program (as I read it here) will ONLY pick up sales order changes. Are you using other modules of R/3 - MM/PP/FI/etc? If so, this change is huge.
We went thru a few years ago. We used the assistance of SAP themselves. And we actually coordinated the change with the entire company. We had all of the Dist Ctrs stage all of their weekend shipments early that week, etc. Then on Friday night we locked down the R/3 system... and converted THAT system. That was our preference... and SAP's recommendation - at that time.
SAP provided some shortcuts, etc. The entire process took most of that weekend. The business needed to "buy into" the project... but it worked out.
Your current approach sounds riddled with many post=conversion problems.
Have you contacted your SAP Acct Mgr with this project?

How to restore a backup copy of 'My Music", from an external backup system

Is there a document somewhere on the procedure to recover iTunes when you used a 3rd party backup system?
Issue: I am having difficulty restoring my iTunes library from a third party backup system that mirrors all the files on my computer onto a remote disk drive. First I restored the files onto a new computer, then I loaded iTunes
for windows, and then used authorize option. iTunes does not show any of my files, and appears to have erased the files I restored. I am lost what to do next, I can restore the files again if need be, just want to read some instructions instead of guessing.
Background: My desktop computer gave me error messages when I rebooted my computer just after upgrading from iTunes 7.0.18 to iTunes 7.0.2. I got an error message that the operating systems SMS hive file is corrupt (a security file). After some investigation a technical person in my company tol me that the file is gone, on both my mirrored disk drives. Would appear that this is a serious iTunes bug or a serious hardware problem. Not knowing which, and confident I have a good backup, I have placed that computer on the side, and took a spare PC and started configuring it to be my new home computer.
I loaded all the Windows patches and installed, recovered all the files under "My Documents", loaded iTunes, Authorized the computer, and don't see my files. When I go back to "My Music" subdirectory I see very few files, when I am in iTunes I don't see my music.
The backup and restore was for all the files in "My Documents" kept on a remote server in my home, a Seagate Technology product called Mirra.
Questions:
1. How should I have restored those files? Apparently the method I choose does not work. All Apple FAQ information is based on me using the Apple Backup & Restore method, which I don't use, instead favoring using a single product to backup all my data.
2. Are there other reports of microsoft Windows Hive or SMS files being damaged in the iTunes upgrade process? Any thoughts as to this being related to the iTunes upgrade process or digital rights management?

First -- by default iTunes stores its Library in "My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl", and its Music in "My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\".
Make sure you have a "iTunes Library.itl" after the restore -- if not, and your backup software supports it, try an older version of the file. If your backup software only keeps the last version of the file -- well, then you are SOL, and you will have to re-add the files to the Library. You will also have to rebuild your playlists, ratings, etc.
Since you have "very few files" in the iTunes Music directory -- either you weren't storing your music there, or your backup didn't work. Are you sure you weren't using a non-default location for your music files?
If you had a hardware problem then it is likely that your backup stopped working properly at some point. This is why you need a rotating backup scheme and periodic archiving of files to non-writeable media (If you have the time/money)

AIf the iPod broke because of a defect then yes, Apple will replace the iPod if it is within the warranty period. A broken/cracked screen is not covered. However, sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store they will exchange your iPod at no cost if it has a broken/cracked screen.

How to sync my Zire 31 with the palm Desktop Software on a Windows 7 PC

Hi everybody
My notebook died (vista) so I had to buy a Windows 7 hp model.
Now I could install the software but the PC doesn't recognize my handheld device.
A sync is not possible.
Can anybody tell me how I can make my device known to the system or do I have to leave the Palm world altogether an buy me an ipod?
I would really like to keep syncing with my palm.

I just bought this Laserjet and have installed it correctly as far as I can see. For the Scan function according to Manual I open the HP Director and click Scan. However there is no Scan function to be found in the HP director.

I see that you are having issues scanning on the 10.6. You have no scan function in the HP Director software.
I will be happy to help you.

How to Scan: OS X v10.7.
Disregard the title.
Select Scan without HP software. Select Method three.
If you didn't run through the fax software during the initial install it won't allow you to scan. (even if you aren't using the fax you have to run it)
If your not sure go ahead and run the fax setup assistant.
Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar click Go, applications, Hewlett Packard, device utility, open the HP setup assistant and run it.
You should also have one listed as HP Scan to try and run it.
On the Apple menu bar click Go, applications, Hewlett Packard, open the HP Scan and try to scan.
Now try and scan again.
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet)
Were you able to scan from Apple's software?

I am using HP LaserJet M5035 MFP and there were many discussions about this. However, I am facing a new problem that I am using a domain authentication. So the smb syntax:
smb://username:password@workgroup/server/sharename
does not work with me.
I tried to use the syntax:
smb://domain/username:password@domain/server/sharename
but it is a wrong syntax. I do not know how to provide my domain account in the smb syntax. I would appreciate if you can show me how to use the domain authentication in smb.

The "bad block detected" message appears to be an old/obsolete error
message text, somewhere in the Solaris "ata" driver.
The ATA-1 standard (1997?) defined the 0x80 bit in the IDE
controller's error register as "bad block detected". (See page 32 on
<URL:http://www.t13.org/project/d0791r4c-ATA-1.pdf>)
The 0x80 bit seems to be "reserved" (undefined, not used any more)
with ATA-2 and ATA-3.
ATA-4 and newer now defines this bit 0x80 as ICRC "interface CRC error
has occurred during an Ultra DMA data transfer" when using ultra dma
transfers. (see the description of the "READ DMA" or "WRITE DMA"
command in <URL:http://www.t13.org/project/d1153r18-ATA-ATAPI-4.pdf>).
The Solaris ata driver seems to interpret the 0x80 bit according to
the old / obsolete 1997 ATA-1 standard.
So the "bad block detected" message seems to be a hint that some sort
of data corruption is happening on the IDE interface during UDMA data
transfers with the HDD. With UDMA capable disks it apparently does
not mean "the disk drive is dying".
I went to search what could cause a hardware datacorruption on my system and found that my internal removeable disktray was making bad contact.
After replacement everything worked as expected.

Aperture - Thread 10 Crashed Error - Does anyone know what this means?

I'm trying to get Aperture to work. I have 2.1.3 installed and I'm using 10.5.7 on a 2.4 Dual Core MacBook Pro (2GB).
The application crashes anytime I click on the "+" sign on the Projects or Adjustments tab. Then, I get a general error message that just says the application has quit unexpectedly.
This issue happens with every photo...and even when a photo is not open. Aperture 2 has never work and I've reloaded several times. I've also removed all plug-ins and logged in under a different profile. I'm stuck.
When I click on the "Report" button in the error message window the "Problem Details"tab says the following (summarized)...

Yes, I had to do the same thing last year after purchasing Aperture 2. It drove me crazy. It's a shame because I miss my Mirra, it worked great with my Mac and my PCs on the same network.

Unable to get Airplay mirroring working for Iphone 4S Apps

I'm trying to get some Iphone Apps to be mirrred on my Apple TV without success.
I'm abble to get Music, Video and Photo to be displayed on Apple TV but not apps.
I'm using Iphone 4S with IOS 5.1.1.
when I tap the Airplay icon , I do not get following screen:

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Sometimes the IO error is:

instead. Before this happens, the screen will flash a couple of times, display an X in the middle of the screen, then go back to display the errors. Any idea why this happens? I installed everything I need for my Intel card (I think), and I ran hwd to setup the config file.
If you need the contents of any files, please try to be specific because I'm not really able to copy and paste (unless someone can show me a working program to view ext3 partitions in Windows).

@p4bz: Wow! Gave it a lot of time there! Search on the forums and see about the answer. I have no idea myself. But Arch is a distro that caters well to people that are patient and try to solve their own issues. It's also no a distro for those not wanting to "tinker" a bit as well. Anyway, I don't know if it applies to you, but 10 seconds of searching produced this:

Is this the sort of thing that you are trying to do?
To create the effect of a mirror, you should place the mirror
camera at the position where the main camera would appear reflected
in the mirror. You should also change the mirror camera's
projectionAngle depending on the distance the main camera is from
the mirror: the closer it is to the mirror, the wider the angle
should be, so that the camera frustrum includes all the objects
that the main camera would see in the mirror.

I dont know why I am not getting any pay for the employees. Any ideas? I have commented out all of the code that I thought would of conflicted with the output, and I still am not able to figure out what I am doing wrong.

String str= String.format("Employee Name: %s\nEmployee Pay: \n",values);There's only one replacement variable in there (the %s thingy). Everything else is a literal. So of course it's only going to print:
Employee Name: (some replacement string here) (newline)
Employee Pay:(newline)
because that's exactly what you told it to do.

Listing of deleted files/folders

i have lost a folder. somehow, i am assuming i had it slected with something else and deleted...and emptied the trash. i have mutliple backups including a mirra drive and a hard backup. all i need to find out is WHEN this happened so i know roughly what is truly lost (the time added between last backup and now)... is there a log kept of deleted files/folders??

No log I know of. There's a good chance you can recover the that file, though. Try Prosoft Data Rescue. There is a free trial to see if it can recover what you need. But don't do another process on that drive until you've downloaded and run it.

R/3 IDES 4.7 Installation Packages list

Hi,
 I have to install R/3 4.7 EEC IDES version (SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE 47X200) on Win 2003 Server with Oracle, but I have confusion over the packages listed in the downloads.
Please help me find the exact packages needed.
I've downloaded the installation guide from market place site but I think it does not lists the steps for the IDES version.
Please provide the steps or a link to it.

Installation Step for 4.7 IDES on Windows 2003
1.Create 2 users as
 a. <SID>adm
 b. SAPServices<sid>
in the Os level with full administrator rights by
right click my computer->manage->users->create-> assign administrator privilege to that user
2.Set memory parameters by configuring the virtual memory by 3:4 times as of exixting RAM
3.If a personal system means configure MSLOOPback adapter
4.Assign Valid Ip to the system
5.Dump the Export DVD's and kernel files
6.Ensure that SAP installation drive should contain more than 100 gb free size
7.Login in <Sid>adm and install oracle by giving all the parameters such as dbsid,password,
8.In the kernel cd ,import the r/3 registry entry .exe file by double clicking it
9.start installing the kernel by double clicking the file named under kernel cd as i386\...\sapinst ->select central instsance,it will log u off in the first insitallation
10.goto c:\program files \sap\sapinst - open the file and paste the contents in c:\program files \sap folder
11.execute the sapinst in the installation master and selecrt the -
>Database Instance for installation
12.then give the all the parameters for the exp1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 path and redo log path,mirrir log path then it strats installation
13.view the log files in log window
13.then it last for 8 to 12 hours for completion
