  • GL A/c Balances and GL Line Item balances are different

    Hi All,
There is a GL balance difference in the TDS Payable accounts for the fiscal year 2008.
The FBL3N, GL line item balance and the GL Balances in FAGLB03(FS10N) is showing the different.
I believe that there should always be the same balances reflecting in both the Transactions.
Any one explain in this regard as to why and how these differences are existing.
    Thanks and regards,
    kumar

    Dear Babu,
I checked in all types. I mean i selected open item , all items ( from n to date wise ) etc. But the balance is not matching because of only one accounting entry. If you don't mind could you give ur mail id, so that i can send the screen shots of that.
if you have any gmail id provide otherwise some other mail id.
    Thanks

  • Stored Procedure for Accounts Receivable

Hi. First off, apologies in advance if I have put this question into the wrong topic. Secondly, I first saw SAP 3 weeks ago when I stared my new job and have had no training so please bear with me if some of what I ask doesn't make much sense.
OK, the issue is this.  In SAP B1, there is a built in Report called "Customer Receivables Aging" which allows you to see Customer Receivable Accounts by age (e.g 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, 90+) and so on.  The problem with the built in report is that it doesn't show all the fields I want - it only shows the Customer Name, balance, and then the aging balances.  I want to be able to see things like the customer's contact details, etc. I know this makes no sense because the whole point of the report is to be able to drill down into the different rows, but this report needs to be issued in printed form, hence the need for the extra fields.
Since I can't seen any way from within SAP to change the fields returned by this report, I thought I'd have a stab at writing my own SQL to select out the same data along with the extra fields I wanted.  That's when the problems began...try as I might, I cannot get my figures to tally with the SAP Report.
They are almost correct, but not quite. I am sure that I am missing a selection or some other element of the logic that B1 uses to create the built in report.
If you want, I can post the SQL I'm using....I'm not an SQL guru by any means, but I do know my way around it; the biggest problem I have is that I cannot find any documentation as to the 4 letter tables that SAP uses and their relationships except on the most basic level (e.g ORIN is Open Return Invoice [maybe])
Then I thought maybe it might be possible to edit that report section in B1 using the SDK.  That would be a better solution as I would not have to 'reinvent the wheel', I can just SELECT an extra field or three to include in the report.
    So my question is
->Does anyone have a stored procedure for SQL Server that can replicate correctly the SAP B1 "Customer Receivable Aging", even just the process SAP uses to gather this data would be good.
    OR
is it possible to edit this report in SAP to put in the extra fields I want.
Or, am I totally barking up the wrong tree? Thanks in advance, I know this is a long post.

    Hi Stephen,
There should be a print layout attached to the on-screen report. This can be altered to show the additional fields you want without resorting to SDK or SQL development.
When you have the Customer Receivables Ageing report open on screen, choose Tools-Print Layout Designer or click on the Print Layout Designer icon on the toolbar. When prompted, choose the layout you wish to edit and you'll be taken to the layout design. In the layout, you can add additional fields and should be able to add most business partner fields. As the report is set to portrait by default, I recommend changing it to landscape so you have lots more space to add the extra fields you want. This report writer is fairly intuitive, if a little basic.
You will need to save this new report design, set it to be the default layout and then when you select to print the Customer Receivables Ageing report (ie Print Preview or Print) you will see the new report.
    Hope this helps,
    Owen

  • Posting to Accounts Receivable using WPUBON, when WPUBON contains tenders

    Hi all!
My client has some special requirements when invoicing specific customers in SAP ERP using WPUBON from POS DM.
They want accounts receivable to be involved, even though the WPUBON idoc have all tenders/means of payment that is required to pay for the sales in same POS transaction. (Balanced invoice with as much tenders as sales).
What seems to be SAP standard, is that a WPUBON without tenders, will post to accounts receivable.
If the WPUBON idoc includes some tenders, but not sufficiently to pay for all sales in same idoc, the tender amount will post to a balance account, while the remaining sales amount (after deducting the available tenders) are posted to the accounts receivable.
If the WPUBON idoc includes all tenders sufficient to pay for all sales in same idoc, the tender amount will post to balance accounts, and NO postings are done to the accounts receivable.
This might be logical, but for my client and its vendors it prevents them from printing the account receivable statement periodically to check it against the vendors own accounting. (The account receivable postings will be missing for sales that are paid in full in store).
For comparison: When using Payment Card processing in SAP ERP, we create sales orders that are invoiced, and when the credit cards amounts are captured, we get a financial document that posts the invoice just as we want it for WPUBON. First the invoice is posted against accounts receivable (AR), and then we get a "counter-posting" against same AR account when credit card amount is captured and clearing account/balance account for credit card company is posted.
When involving credit card as tender in WPUBON, we get postings to clearing account/balance account for credit card company , but not to AR account as we do for the sales order/invoice in SAP.
Are there customzing settings that can be done in SAP ERP to make it similar for WPUBON idocs as for sales order/invoice in SAP ERP?
Are there user exits that can "force" SAP ERP to post to AR?
    Thankful for any advice!

    Hello ,
We are also struggling with the similar problem of reconciling the AR and i would seek your help here.
I believe you have figured out all the SQL queries used to get the AR recon done so i would request if you can share the SQL queries with me as it will help us to do our piece of activity in reconciling the AR.

  • Report on Account Receivable

    hi,
can any one help regarding report on account receivable. the senario is ....
i want to generate report on accounts receivable, that to based on aging
so wht is aging n how to display it and is offset variable n how to create offset variable

    Hi,
of the differences between account based CO-PA and costing-based CO-PA that there is no delta extraction. There is also 1 other rule. You can only select 1 fiscal-period. The set-up is similar to costing based CO-PA.
The big difference between Account Based CO-AP and Costing Based CO-PA is of course the data is stored in the CO Modules.
Account based CO-PA is part of the CO concept. This means when you post to a cost element the data is posted to a CO-module (CCA, OPA, PA, PS etc). The way the data is stored is also different from costing based PA.
The CO tables like COEP, COBK (for the individual item are used and the COSS and COSP are used for the totals.
The object where the posting are related to they are stored in the CE4... table. So if you want to analyse the data there is 1 keyfigure and the cost-element is a characteristic (account model).
COsting Based CO-PA data is statistical data. This means that the update of CO-PA is not always equal to what is stored in the CO modules or in finance. The cost element is also not always updated and there are also more key-figures used to store info about the type of costs or revenues. Tables as CE1, CE2 , CE3 and CE4 are used.
Extraction for Account Based CO-PA is only based on the total records (full loads are only possible). For costing based CO-PA there it is possible work with init and delta packages and also to select data from the individual postings databases (CE1, CE2).
The way you generate the extractor is similar.
Hopelfully this gives you a bit more background of the CO-PA module.
    CE1 *** , CE *** = Line Item Tables
    CE2 *** = Plan Line Item
    CE3 *** = Value Fields , Key Fig
    CE4 *** = Segment Table
look at htis OSS Note to have more info (with example) about KF vs Account Mode: 407563
The question of whether to have key fig mode or characterstic model come when you have a requirement to report on multiple key figures like plan commitment, actual, etc. In such a scenerio, you have the option of either having so many key figures in the cube ( and in the report) or just have one key fig and distinguish them with a characterisic. The first one if called key fig model and the second one is called characteristic model.
If you have characteristic model you need to either have that may charactristic of that many values with in a characteristic , for example multiple values in version or value type

  • TS3899 Having issues receiving emails and then they dissapearing

I am experiencing problems with one of the 3 emails accounts on my iPhone 4. One of my bellsouth (att) accounts and my gmail accounts receive emails and are kept on the inbox. However my other bellsouth email account receives the emails but does not keep them on the inbox. They disappear without me deleting them. Can anybody hekp me fix this issue?

check the accounts settings in settings > mail, contacts, calendars > go to that account under 'accounts' at the top, and see if there are any settings that could influence that. if you don't see anything like archiving or the behavior of your archive box or anything, then it's not an issue with the phone or its settings - it's something that needs to be changed at the website on a computer where you can check your mail

  • Accounts Receivable Analysis Best Practice: Company Code

    Hi!
I implemented SAP Best Practice scenario "Accounts Receivable Analysis" and would like to execute the queries from this example.
The query cannot unfortunately because one of the attributes Company Code is mandatory.
When I put one of the possible values e.g. "0001" I get the following error:
Company Code (Single Value Entry, Required) ()*
Value "0001" for variable "Company Code (Single Value Entry, Required)" is invalid
    Message no. BRAIN643
    Diagnosis
Characteristic value "0001" is not valid for variable Company Code (Single Value Entry, Required).
    Procedure
Enter a valid value for the characteristic. The value help, for example, provides you with suggestions. If no information is available here, then perhaps no characteristic values exist for the characteristic.
If the variable for  0DATE or 0CALDAY has been created and is being used as a key date for a hierarchy, check whether the hierarchies used are valid for this characteristic. The same is valid for variables that refer to the hierarchy version.
    Question
    How to execute this query?
    Thank you very much!
    regards

    Hi!
    Many thanks for your response.
What do you mean with your question?
I load transaction data with tcode RSA1
    (0FI_AR_4 and  0FI_AR_6).
Do I need some addtional steps to execute? IF yes, which?
    Thank you very much!
    regards

  • SEM-BCS Statistical FS Items (Statistical: Balance and Statistical: Flow)

    Hi,
SEM-BCS 4.0 and SEM-BCS 6.0 both have 2 types of Statistical FS Item (Financial Statement item); "Statistical: Balance" and "Statistical: Flow".
I note that these are treated differently, e.g. in Balance Carryforward task, Statistical: Balance are carried forward automatically while Statistical: Flow are not.
My question is, what is the difference between these statistical item types?
And what are they (or could they be) used for?

    Hi,
I'll try to explain you like the following:
Balance is a value that is derived from beginning balance plus movement. Flow is the movement itself.
Trial balance is an example of balance, while movement type is an example of flow.
When you do balance carry forward, system add all the flow type that you define to make a balance, and carry forward the balance only.
    Hope it helps.

  • Moving customer balance from Accounts Receivable to Notes Receivable

    Hi Experts,
We would like to move a customer's accounts receivable balance from accounts receivable to notes receivable and have the amount removed from the aging report.
What steps do we need to take to make that happen?
    THanks for your help?
    Jane

    Hi Jane
In that case you do an Incoming Payment
In the Incoming Payment - > Payment Means choose cash - Tab. select 'Notes to receivable' account there. since your 'Notes to receivable' is not a cash account your cash reports will also not be effected

  • Is there link between account receivable and payroll module ?

In Account Receivable :( I have This Case )
How to record a sale to an employee? How to record it as an employee loan without effecting bank or cash records.
is there link between account receivable and payroll module ?
this solution i suggets bellow , is valied solution?
Define Invoice transaction type "Employee Sales "
This Type will affect (Receivable ) Employee Account
    In Payroll Module :
( Manually )TheEmployee Sales invoice will sent to payroll department to extract amount from employee , this extract Will credit the same "Receivable" Employee account

Employee Loan in AR can be tied with Element Balance of payroll.you should have to develop some mechism to get the money from AR and update into Payroll element balance, this way you can manage your employee loan without touching bank.
There is no seeded functionality comes with AR that have such capability.
