Missing edit & view menus in fcp7

Here recently I notice my edit & view menu is missing.  I restart FCP7 and it comes back then it goes away again.  When they go away, mark -help moves down to the file menu.  Doing a Google search comes up with is to reload FCP7 to correct the issue.  Any thoughts on another solution other than to reload?

Before reinstalling, I'd recommend that you first try trashing FCP's preferences .  Use this utility to help: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/
If you do decide to reinstall, use this app to perform a complete uninstall: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/

  • File edit view help missing in acrobat XI

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1. Most of the time when I open a PDF file everything is fine. However, I have lately had several PDF's open and when I open another, the File, Edit, View, Help tabs are missing as is all the info above where these tabs should be including the minimize, restore down, close icons. F9, F8 and Ctrl+Shift+M do not help. Any ideas?
    Thanks,

Sounds like an issue with your graphics driver and Acro running out of resources for hardware accelerated page rendering. turn it off in the prefs and/or update your graphics driver.

  • My browser is missing: back, refresh buttons plus File, Edit, View, Tool buttons are missing.

I installed Firefox onto my computer and in doing so it removed my browser: back, Forward, Refresh buttons; also, the File, Edit, View, Tool, Help buttons are missing.

Hit the '''Alt''' key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar and Navigation bar, so they have a check-mark.

  • File Edit View Missing

I know this is a very beginner question but where is File - Edit - View etc, the window menus?

I would try #12 and #4 from this KB article to re-create the configuration folders.

However, if that doesn't work, I think you may need to re-install.

    * In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
    * Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
    * Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Press the F9 key to toggle the menu bar on and off. A PDF can contain a setting that will hide the menu bar automatically, which I find very annoying, but you can turn this off with the following preference: Edit > Preferences > Documents > Allow documents to hide the menu bar...

Once the menus are back, you can use the View menu, then select Toolbars and click on the names of the toolbars to toggle displaying them.

  • When I open Firefox there is absolutely no toolbar at the top. No 'File' 'Edit' 'View' 'Favorites' 'Tools' 'Help' buttons, no anything. Any idea's??

When I open Firefox there is no toolbar at all. I have tried deleting and then re-downloading it, but when I click on the icon on my desktop, all that comes up is a page that says "Widgets, Gadgets, RSS feeds, and more." There is no search box to surf the web, there is nothing.

the tool bar near top left corner, consisting of file, edit, view, history, tools IS gone. how do i get it back?

In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

  • The "File Edit View Window Help" menu disappears after opening Adobe Acrobat X Standard

After installing Adobe Acrobat X Standard, when I run the program the "File Edit View Window Help" menu is visible for only a brief second then disappears.  I tried to press F11 or other functions keys to bring it back.  I also installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro which I also have a license for and it would do the exact same thing. Reinstalling the programs did not seem to resolve the problem.  Is there an issue inside the registry?

Thank you for your comment.  However, F9 does not seem to work.
When I press F9, the menu bar appears but the words "File Edit View Window Help" are still missing.
When I press F9 again the menu bar will close.
This is a screen capture before the words "File Edit View Window Help" disappear.  After only about a second they are gone.
