Photoshopt cc starts with error. missing file icuuc42.dll. Can't see any way to repair missing file using Creative Cloud?
This appeared just after the last update.

Reset the preferences first. Start PS and immediately hold down alt/ctrl/shift (option/cmd/shift mac). If fast enough you will get a reset window.

Why do I have a missing file msvcr80.dll all of a sudden?

I just used iTunes the other day and when I tried to open it today there is an error (7) and windows error 126 and a missing file msvcr80.dll.
What is going on?

The continued connection to the Events allows you to continue editing the project, or to use the Event in another project. As long as you are not editing, you do not have to have the external drive connected (but you will have the yellow triangles).
If you delete the events to reclaim space, I think you are basically left with your finished movie and further editing is not possible. (Although you could import your finished movie as an Event and do edits on that.)
Once the Project is done and shared, and you are absolutely, positively sure that you will never have to edit it further (or you are willing to re-import from your source and start over) then you can delete the event files and recover the space.
That's what I think. I am sure others will jump in to correct anything I got wrong.
I would also say that you might get a better experience by playing your finished movies in iTunes rather than through iMovie. Then there will be no possibility of further editing, but you can view your movie through Quicktime.

HT201210 update has missing file, msvcr80.dll

Itunes was working fine till Apple requested to update to the latest version. After it updated to 11.1.4 it now complains about missing file MSVCR80.dll and will not start up. Is there an older version still avaiable somewhere that I can back up to.

I read that there are a lot of us having the problem and the cure is the deinstallation and reinstall of the files listed in latter discussion. It works and I am back with Itunes. Thanks for the good info.

I found this discussion about three or four months ago. I was having the same problem with Safari not opening, along with my other login items.

HOWEVER... Today, all of the sudden... Out of out of the blue... I have the same problem, again!?
I tried removing, then re-adding, the URL file from the log in items, automatic open list.
It did not work?

I'm trying to download the new version of itunes. durig the install i get a message that I need to verify that I have sufficient privilege. Then I get a message of a Windows error 126 and a missing file MSVCR 80.dll. I've tried everything on the support site and nothing works.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Missing file "MSRDO20.dll on Windows 8.1

Hi,
I am trying to open MS Access 2003 file in Access 2013 on Windows 8.1. Windows is 64bit and Office 2013 32bit. Every time I try to open Access application I am getting the following error:
"Your Microsoft Access Database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file MSDRO20.dll version 2"
If I remove from References then some functions don't work. In my old XP windows this file is in system32 folder. Someone suggested to copy from old XP windows into Windows 8. But I am not sure if this should be handled in this way.
I just think this is an important file without which an application can not function, so I presume there must be some formal solution to it. Unfortunately I've spent half a day googling and found nothing yet.
Can anyone please suggest a solution or a link to a solution ?

I am missing the following dll files and wanted to find out how to get them loaded onto my pc to get rid of the annoying pop-ups.

If you have attempted to install from the CD or had a previous version of palm desktop on your computer before upgrading to the 6.2 and are experiencing the missing dll errors. It is due to it not fully uninstalling the palm software off of your computer and going through a couple of added steps to ensure the program is installed correctly.
1. Launch Control Panel
2. Go to User Account and family settings
3. Select the User Account
4. Go to the main user account page
5. Select make changes to the user account
6. Unselect the use User Account Control
7. Reboot your computer
First thing that should be done is uninstalling the palm software, If you had user account control turned on during the previous install leave it turned on. If you had it off during the initial install leave it off we will be needing that later.
You will need to set your computer to show hidden files to ensure all the files are shown that are the correct ones to be deleted. First we are going to remove the program, clean up the registry, and remove offending folders.
1. Uninstall palm desktop in add/remove programs. Which in Vista is now Programs and features
2. Locate the palm folder that is saved on your computer. It's usually in <C:/program files/palm>. Delete that folder
3. Clean up registry by deleting the following keys. To get to the registry. Type regedit in the search
Normal registry keys
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Quick Install
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\PalmOne File Transfer
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop

* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm, Inc.
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmDesktopAutorun
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\palmOne
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmSource
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PalmSource or anything else that says palm
Additional key in Vista
*HKEY_USERS\[user sid]_CLASSES\Virtualstore\machine\software\palmsource
Close registry
Additional folders also need to be deleted from the computer
c:\users\[user name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\palm0ne
c:\windows\hotsync....(This will vary from hotsync manager to hotsync conduits. Rule of thumb if it says hotsync something delete it)
Reboot your computer again
Now if you did not turn off user account control earlier you are going to want to do it now, by following the previous steps. After you turn it off you are going to have to reboot again.
Now when you are back up and running. Attempt to reinstall palm desktop 6.2 from here http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/windesk62.html
Also please make sure you are an administrator before installing and before your first initial sync. Also make sure you are the only person logged into the pc. Palm desktop does not support fast user switching. Rule of thumb before installing disable any antivirus programs or firewalls that could block the program from being downloaded correctly.

It happened to me the same. I solved it by restoring the system to an earlier phase of the upgrade. I hope it helps. Greetings from Gran Canaria.

How can I get missing file plds4.dll?

When I opened Firefox yesterday, it was updated and then opened fine. Today, I get an error message that file plds4.dll can not be found & the application does not open. I found a file plds4.dll.moz-backup in my Mozilla firefox folder, but no plds4.dll file. Do I download a whole new Firefox installation file or can you send just the missing file?

Solved my own problem. Downloaded and ran a new version of Firefox, and the missing file is now in the Mozilla Firefox folder. Firefox is running well. I hope that this helps someone else.
