Missing Reader, can't import data...

I'm relatively new to Oracle SQL Developer and this answer is probably obvious but it's managed to elude me. I have an Excel spreadsheet containing data I want to import to an existing table. When I select Import Data, no matter which type of data type I select I get a message saying "There is no reader registered for the <type name> type. I tried TXT, CSV, etc... to no avail. Is there an update pack that needs to be installed to add these Readers?
TIA

I have a acrobat reader, can I import text delimited data format to a PDF Form so that it can auto fill into forms that was created? If not, what about FDF and XML data

Yes, you can do all of that via Tools - Forms - More Form Options - Import Data, if you have Acrobat.
If you only have the free Reader then you can still do it, but it requires a script.

  • How can I import data from a csv file into databse using utl_file?

    Hi,
I have two machines (os is windows and database is oracle 10g) that are not connected to each other and both are having the same database schema but data is all different.
Now on one machine, I want to take dump of all the tables into csv files. e.g. if my table name is test then the exported file is test.csv and if the table name is sample then csv file name is sample.csv and so on.
Now I want to import the data from these csv files into the tables on second machine. if I've 50 such csv files, then data should be written to 50 tables.
I am new to this. Could anyone please let me know how can I import data back into tables. i can't use sqlloader as I've to satisfy a few conditions while loading the data into tables. I am stuck and not able to proceed.
Please let me know how can I do this.
    Thanks,
    Shilpi

  • How can I import data in to the digital word generator in Multisim?

How can I import data in to the digital word generator in Multisim?
I just  received this comment from a friend, a RADAR engineer, who has just down loaded Multisim.  He has been using HP/Agilent software.  He has a work around using a piecewise linear voltage waveform with data imported from Excel but this is not really a good solution.  It would also be helpful to import data from Mathcad or equivalent.
"I thought I was about to be impressed with MultiSim but it ended only in disappointment. There is a word generator in the simulation instrument panel which can drive the DAC with a waveform and it can have thousands of lines of values. I opened Excel, wrote the formula to generate the time and voltage points for a chirp, converted to DAC values in Hex and then went back to the word generator in MultiSim to load the values only to find that you have to enter each value manually. It doesn’t even allow you to paste in a list of values from a text file. I’m not going to type 5000 values by hand. If you get the chance to give feedback to National Instruments please ask them if the paste option can be added to the word generator. MultiSim is useful in many regards, but in this case, it left me with the impression that it is considerably limited in capability compared to what I’m used to."

    Hi,
You can load your data automatically in the Multisim word generator. Follow these steps:
    - Save your data file (in excel .xslx ir .csv format) on your computer
    - Change the extension of the file to ".dp"
    - Double-click the word generator in Multisim and click on Set...
    - In the Settings dialog box, click on Load and then Accept
    - This will prompt you to select the .dp file you have on your computer, select it and you're good to go
However, in Multisim you have the option of creating your own custom simulation analysis and instrument.
I will try creating the instrument and send it back to you but it might take some time.
Multisim and LabVIEW are very powerful in test automation, with the custom instruments you create for Multisim you don't need to export your data file into excel from LabVIEW (or MathCAD or other tools) and then reload it into Multisim. The test procedure is automated instead.
Please check this reference design about automated simulation
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7825
Here is how you can create your own custom measurement tool in Multisim and LabVIEW, but as I mentioned, I will create the word generator and come back to you anyways

  • How can I import data in an interactive PDF?

    Hello everyone,
I'm trying to import data (in this case, price lists created in Excel) in a PDF that needs be interactive; The goal is to actually make up a document (in InDesign) using form fields, and then have that data imported in the form fields, but the generated PDF has to be interactive. What I'm trying to achieve is that my sales people have a pdf, where they can generate a price estimate based on the number of products they wanna order. Is this achievable at all?

Yes, very much so. The form fields can be added in InDesign or in Acrobat
(I prefer the latter), and the data can be imported in Acrobat as well. The
Excel file needs to have the following structure for it to work: Fields
names in the first row and their data in the second. Then you save it as a
tab-delimited text file and import it in Acrobat via Tools - Forms - More
    Form Options - Import Data.

  • How can I import data using .dmp into the table which has more columns then in import

I am building the history for warehouse purpose on Oracle 8i database and want to use the old import (.dmp) files (from oracle 7.3.4) to import data but the underlying table is having few more columns which are not in my old DMP file .. how can I import the data into these altered tables while using the same *.imp files .
    Any solutions ?

That is the most obvious solution .. but think of the case when my operational database which is the source of my data is undergoing changes every quarter i.e after every 3 months there are some changes on underlying table structures which means structures of my import files will always be different after evry quarter .. you can imagine the number of temporary import structures I need to create .. can't there be a solution wherein I can write an SQL over the import file to read the data in required format ..

  • How can i import data to ipad from pc ?

how can i ımport data to ipad from pc ?

It would help if you said what sort of data you want to transfer - documents, spreadsheets, powerpoint, etc .
In order to transfer files to the iPad you will first need one or more apps on the iPad that supports those file types - without an app the files cannot be saved (apart from as email attachments), as unlike 'normal' computers the iPad doesn't have a file system and files/documents have to be stored/associated with an app. Once you've got an app then, depending on what it is, transfer might be done via the file sharing section at the bottom of the iPad's apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes, via wifi, email attachments, Dropbox etc.
If you want to transfer/support Word and Excel documents then Documents To Go is one option (http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/documents-to-go-office-suite/id317117961?mt=8) and how to transfer to/from it is described on this pagehttp://support.dataviz.com/support.srch?docid=14497&pid=198 (the 'premium' version of the app also supports editing Powerpoint files instead of just viewing them)
Apple's Pages app supports Word documents :http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pages/id361309726?mt=8 (how to transfer files http://help.apple.com/pages/ipad/1.4/#tanb5b5c055)

  • ORA-00926: missing VALUES keyword | when importing data

    Hello,
I get the missing VALUES keyword error when importing data from an Excel spreadsheet. Until yesterday everything worked fine. Today I'm having this problem because OSD does not build the DML correctly. See:
    insert into WFT_GROEPEN (CODE,OMSCHRIJVING,NIVEAU,INDIC_LAAGSTE_NIVEAU) VALUES('1.1.1.1','- Value of business acquired',4,'N');
Working with OSD 1.2.1 on Windows XP.
    Anyone got a clue?
    Kind regards,
    Dennis

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I found the problem myself. I got 2 columns in the Excel sheet with the same name. Then OSD creates an insert statement like following which gives the 'missing VALUES keyword' error.
    insert into WFT_GROEPEN (CODE,OMSCHRIJVING,NIVEAU,INDIC_LAAGSTE_NIVEAU)NIVEAU) VALUES('3','Toelichting balans beleggingen',NULL,'N',NULL);

  • Can't import data-only Excel doc into Numbers 2013

    This is a disaster.
I just downloaded two .xlsx Excel documents, and attempted to open them in the new (2013) Numbers.
These were the simplest possible documents. 101 rows, 17 colmns, no header/side labels. I don't think it included any calculations at all. My coworker used Excel simply to format her data as a table.
The imported Excel table is almost completely blank. A column of dates, and a couple of columns of literal numbers survived. It lost all of the text. I'm sure the column widths were lost. If you try to edit a cell, the editing bar at the bottom does nothing; it has no content, it does not respond to keys or clicks, it stays blank and unresponsive when you select a cell. If you type an = in a cell, there is no expression builder, and clicking in other cells to add them to a calculation merely changes the selection to those cells.
In iWork 2009, the apps posted a notice when they couldn't make a 100% faithful import — and in my usage, those were for missing fonts, not absent functionality. No such notice here.
    My question:
Is there any way I can read at least a spreadsheet that makes no use of Excel features?
Further remark, but not a question
I had heard that the days were gone when people had to install Office because that's what they use at work. I managed to get away without using Office from 1989 to this day. I think it's ironic that at the moment Microsoft lost its lock on productivity tools, I am now forced to install Office.

Forgive me, this is not practical advice.
I installed Numbers 3. From the Mac App Store, there being no other way. As is its practice, MAS, wipes out every trace of previous versions of the software it replaces. Numbers 2.3 simply does not exist on my machine.
Yes, I have Time Machine backups. Have you tried drag-installing iWorks applications? They will not run. They rely on system-level frameworks that I am not confident I can dig out of Time Machine.
No, I do not have my original distribution media for iWorks. I bought iWorks nearly six years ago, when computers still had optical drives. It happens I have a couple of 3.5" floppies from the first developer-tools releases in 1984, but those are relics. I don't have the DVD (or CD?).
If I did have the DVD, it would not contain version 2.3. 2.3 came from an Apple update I downloaded from the support site five years ago. I challenge you to give me a live URL for that updater.
P.S. Perhaps I am oversensitive, but I think the implication is gratuitous, that only a fancy-pants rocket scientist would want to import a spreadsheet that contains 100 lines of dates, text, and numbers in 17 columns.
When one double-clicks an .xlsx file, Numbers opens it. Import of Excel files is not an advanced future direction. It is an intended function of the application today. Numbers responds to double-clicking .xlsx files today. If it were not an intended function, it would not attempt to open the file; or at least it would post some kind of alert that the operation is not yet implemented.

  • How can I import data from history including time of visit to site?

When I open my "History" tab I can then select from the left hand column, for example "last seven days" and then select "copy" from the "Organize" tab. But when I paste into an Excel worksheet, the only information that shows up is the website. Is there a way to also import the "visit date" column?

You would have to use an extension like SQLite Manager to export the history as CSV.

You can add other columns when needed.

  • Can I import .dat files into FInal Cut Pro?

Hi..I received 2 .dat files which play in Quicktime. They are pieces of 2 movies which were converted from Video and given to me on a cd disc with a wesite.
I want to edit the movies and also lighten them up, because they is very dark.
I am wondering if I can do it in FCP? And how would I get them in there, make a duplicate (in order to save these originals) and then do editing and use them both for the website, as a mpeg4 or 3 and also as files for output to cd's? Can I get them out of the .dat file format? I have FCP 4.5.
Obviously, I know nothing about this. And I have posted this also in QT and iMovie..to see what I can do. Thank you.

    Thank you.
    I will try this.
I cut a cd on Toast 7 and it plays on my DVD player, but still in the DAT format.
I was also given this link
You may want to try this freeware and use it to convert the dat file to a DV Stream which you will be able to open in iMovie, do your editing, and then export or "Share" to a .mov file. Mpeg StreamClip < </div>
    http://www.squared5.com/
I will try what u have written first, as it seems simplist.
I also found out that these clips are in PAL format. Will that matter?
Thanks for the info from Apple. I am in India and will see how I can do this.

  • Can you import data from a Word bookmark into LabVIEW?

I have been able to insert data into a Word document bookmark with the Report Generation Toolkit with LabVIEW 8.2.1. Is it possible to retrieve data from a Word document bookmark, and if so, how is it done?

    Fortunately Yes !
Unfortunately, the NI report tools have not been developped to retrieve data from existing documents.
So you'll have to develop your own tools, using ActiveX properties and methods if you have to work with not-so-simple documents.
Just to help you start something, here is a simple way to read some text from a .doc file.

    hi guys,
How can we import data into oracle9i release 1 from a text file with comma seperated or tab seperated delimeters?
    please help,
    Imran

table is already created, just have to populate data into table through a dat or text file. As suggested, you would either:
1). use SQL*Loader to load the data into this table.
2). create external table on that data file and then do:
    INSERT INTO your_real_table
    SELECT * FROM that_external_table ;
