Missing street addresses when synching to a k750i

Phone numbers and email addresses synch over without too many problems, but i can't get physical addresses (street names, house numbers and the like) to do the same. The spaces for them on the edit contacts box on the phone just remain blank. If I enter contacts there, they don't synch back to the mac either. Guessing this might not be work-around-able but be glad to hear anyone's ideas.

Hi Aur - I noticed in another thread that you were very helpful with advice for members who had a problem with the SEK700i. Can you or anyone else advise me please?
I have an SEK750i, with iSync 2.2, and am trying to get my Address book contacts over to the phone with Bluetooth and iSync (I gather from Apple that the USB lead supplied with the SE750i won't help with transfers). Bluetooth is switched on, and both my Powerbook and SEK750i are connected successfully. By the way, the Firmware on the SEK750i is R1AA008.
I have followed to the letter the iSync Troubleshooting advice (?artnum=302115) but no joy - as soon as I try to make the address book merge, iSync crashes on me.
The other odd thing is that I also have a Blackberry 7100v that gives me no problem in synching.
In order to make the synch with the SEK750i "cleaner", I deleted the Blackberry from my list of iSync devices. But every time iSync started up again, it reappeared.
I'd be grateful for any help - I don't relish the thought of transferring hundreds of addresses to my phone manually!
Below is the content of the Console page, in case it's any help:

  • Imported address book missing street address

    Hello, I have imported my address book from Thunderbird on Windows XP. All went okay, except it is missing the street address (town and other address info is okay). Not sure if this is a Mac problem or the Thunderbird export problem.
    Any advise, please??
    Cheers, Simon

    What format did you export from Thunderbird?
    Can't really tell what is wrong without knowing what you exported and how you imported, and if you mapped the fields correctly (in the case of a csv file).

  • Street address not synching from Microsoft Outlook

    I just got a Blackberry Pearl and installed the desktop software and am trying to synch my contacts with Microsoft Outlook. Everything is working fine EXCEPT the street address field. Only the city, state and zip are showing up on my BB.
    Can anyone help? Thanks

    Hi Erikcole7,
    To sync your corporate Exchange, you do need to work with yout IT group at your employer. However, I have included a link that provides you with a step-by-step process in getting this completed.
    Though the device at this link is not the Droid X, I have verified that this device will work in the same way.

  • Lost wireless IP address when synching apple TV

    I loose the IP address and access to internet on my wireless time machine. It happens every time I try to synch large files from my computer to my apple TV through iTunes. Internet connection is reestablished after a power reset of the Time Machine, however, the problem reoccurs when I attempt to synch my apple TV. Anyone experiencing the same? Any solutions? Very annoying!

    Shouldn't clients that do a ipconfig /release and /renew pull a new IP address though? Or if they are rebooted?
    No, most of the time client is requesting the previous IP it had. Most of the cases your DHCP server will issue the same IP for the client unless that IP address given away to any other client. What is the DHCP lease time for those clients ?
    In general when a client associate to AP, then the WLC who manage that AP will check any other WLCs in the mobility group to see if that client is a "new association" or a "roamed client". If any other WLC has that client information (not cleared from its database) then it will treat as roamed client & traffic is tunnel back to original WLC (anchor), even though client is associated to an AP managed by a different WLC (foreign). In that way client IP will remain, even though client roam from place to place.

  • Apple uses the postal service for delivery of  some items but won't allow entry of a PO box. This presents a problem when the post office is in a town where they don't do street address deliveries. I can find no place to submit this problem except here.

    I've just placed an order for a 13" Macbook Pro and a superdrive, both to be shipped to a business street address. The cart shows the computer being delivered by "standard shipping" but the superdrive by the Postal Service--but at this address the PO doesn't do street delivery. If Apple would when this kind of delivery is specified allow the entry of a PO box it would solve the problem. An option to enter this info could be presented on the screen when appropriate and it would be very simple to do. I hope this suggestion gets to the right people--I could find no way to submit it on the Apple site and even here I've had to choose a product as a community when something like "Apple Shipping systems" would have been better. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has encountered this problem.

    Apple folks would be monitoring this and perhaps tell me a better way or pass the info on.
    NOPE!  Apple does not monitor their message boards because it's user to user.  If Feedback is working out, then call Apple Customer Relations - 1-800-767-2275.  Ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to Customer Relations.  Tell them exactly what you stated in your post.         GOOD LUCK!

  • New BillTo Addresses Created as ShipTo Address After Synch

    The default functionality in WebTools 2007 appears to be that new addresses created in WebTools are always created as ShipTo addresses in SAP B1.  This occurs even if the new address is created on the WebTools billing page.
    The problem is that one of our customers creates new BPs for a majority of the new cusomters in E-Commerce.  When these new customers create an order, the billto and shipto addresses are synched to the BP record but both are ShipTo addresses.  Therefore, the BP does not have a BillTo address.  Many of their reports and processes are dependent upon the BillTo address.
    In SAP 2007A, you can now have multiple BillTo addresses.  Are there any plans to allow new BillTo addresses to synch to SAP B1 as BillTo addresses?
    If so how soon can this be expected?

    Pardon  my ignorance, but I assume the address updating is reliant on the DI. Does Note 1146415 have relevance here?  (Shows up in the Fix List for SBO2007A Patch 42).
    Symptom
    Ship-To address is updated incorrectly when it has the same name as the
    Bill-To address.
    Scenario:
    Via application:
    1. Add a new business partner "Test";
    2. Add a new Ship To address to the business partner with:
        Address Name: new
        Street: ship
    3. Update the Business Partner;
    4. Add a new Bill To address to the business partner with:
        Address Name: new
        Street: Bill
    5. Update the Business Partner.
    Ensure the following:
    The Ship-To address has the same name as the Bill To address.
    The row number in the CRD1 table of the Bill-To address is bigger than the row number of the Ship-To address.
    Via the DI try to update the business partner:
        Dim oBP As SAPbobsCOM.BusinessPartners
        Set oBP = vCmp.GetBusinessObject(oBusinessPartners)
        oBP.GetByKey (txtDocEntry.Text)
        ErrCode = oBP.Update()
    Actual Results:
    The Ship To address has changed. The data from the Bill To address
    was copied to the Ship To address.
    Expected results:
    No changes in the Business Partner Master data.
    Other terms
    CRD1, DI, Ship To address, Bill To address, BP, Business Partner, Update.
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Application Error.

  • Duplicates when synching with gmail

    I had been having a problem with duplications of contacts. When migrating my contacts from Address Book to GMail, the initial migration happens without error. Groups appear as they should and the entries within them are correct. When synching after the migration, though, iSync reports that there will be many duplications and quite a few deletions. The problem seems to be that the iSync is not noticing that duplicate contacts are within groups, and instead iSync wants to duplicate them yet again OUTSIDE the groups. In other words, everything gets screwed up when synching after the initial migration.
    I'm synching contacts Address Book, Mobile Me, a Blackberry (via Missing Sync) and GMail.
    Thanks for any help.

    Killed all the Google contacts again, uploaded the contents of my Address Book and the next sync attempted wanted to add 144 contacts and modify 352 of them. When I checked the ones the sync dialogue wanted to modify using the before/after switch, it was claiming that the Address Book entries only had one line in them, usually just the name, when I checked the actual entry it had every field filled out, name, address, telephone numbers etc. What gives?

  • Send street address as a link in email

    I am trying to send an email with a street address in it so that when the recipient receives the email they can click a link that will load the map application to the specific address. The problem I am having is the "link" is not picking up the city, state zip portion of the address. It will pick up the street name and number and allow that portion to be linked and clicked and load the map application but without the city state sip portion I find it picking random locations hundreds of miles away (my last attempt asked me if I meant a place in Georgia or Arizona; I am in DC).
    Any thoughts would be helpful

    Go to the maps application and type in the full address you want to share. Once you search for the address click the little button on the bottom right next to directions and drop a pin. Then click the arrow that points right next to the address on the pin. Click on share location. And choose Email or Message.

  • 1/2 Street Address unsupported in reminder Locations

    I live at a 1/2 Street Address.  For example: "55 1/2 Anywhere St.".  This is my address in contacts on 10.8 and iCloud.  When I try to set a location based reminder to remind me when I am "Home" my address is read as "2 Anywhere St.".  Everything before the "/" is truncated.  I prefer not to change my address to something that it is not, like 55.5 or 55b or 55 1-2.  I am not sure what to do?

  • Need help using Regex to parse street addresses

    Let me start off by stating three things:
    I suck at regex,
    I've googled this and didn't come up with an answer, and
    I'm on ColdFusion 10
    I have a form with an autocomplete input that allows a user to enter street addresses (either in full like "123 Main St, Mayberry" or in part like "123 Main St" or "Main St" or "Main St, Mayberry".  I need to tell if the user has provided a street number or not at the beginning of the value they enter into the input.  I'm trying to test the input value with this code:
    <cfif ReFind("^([0-9]{1-5})",q)>
         <!--- address starts with a number --->
    <cfelse>
         <!--- address doesn't start with a number --->
    </cfelse>
    q is the input value being passed into my code from the autocomplete function.
    x should be either 0 (if the input value doesn't start with a number) or a positive integer (if the input value does start with a number).
    Basically, I just need to know if the input value starts with one to five digits.
    I suppose I could just do something like:
    <cfif Val(q)>
    Am I better off using a regex, and if so, what am I doing wrong with the one I've tried?
    -Carl V.

    Oh man do I feel stupid!  I read the Adobe docs several times, and understood I needed a comma there, but I had a brain fart when I actually typed my code.  Thanks for the minor *headslap*!
    I had tried it without the parantheses before, and had added them when trying to troubleshoot.  I'll remove them from my working code.
    And I will check out your blog series on Regex.

  • How to Export full street address of the contacts from AD OU

    How to Export full street address of the contacts from AD OU

    Break down the one liner suggested by Chen . What do you see when you run the below :
    Get-ADUser -Searchbase 'OU=XYZ,DC=XYZ,DC=XYZ' -Filter * -Properties *
    You will have to replace the OU path in the above.
    Once you see the Users are an output of the above, try below :
    Get-ADUser -Searchbase 'OU=XYZ,DC=XYZ,DC=XYZ' -Filter * -Properties * |
    Select SamaccountName, @{n="Full Address";E={[String]::Join(';',$_.StreetAddress , $_.l, $_.PostalCode, $_.Country)}}
    If you are able to see the objects till this point then only you will get those in your CSV. These are nothing but basic steps to follow when someone gives you a solution.
    Hope this helps.

  • Address book leaves emty street address field

    after i delete an additional street address, address book does not delete the field after i go out of edit mode, and instead leaves type of address (work or home) with an empty space. it use to delete the type of address and field when data was removed. a big eye sore for my sense of esthetics. must be a bug? thanks for any help.

    I haven't experienced that, but since upgrading to Leopard, my wife and I are experiencing an issue where the cursor tends to jump around while you're working on a card. Well, that's not exactly right.... say I've selected John Smith in the list and his name is somewhere in the middle of the viewable names on the list. Address Book will keep him highlighted but, without warning, spontaneously scroll him down to the bottom of the viewable names in the list. It's distracting and it also resets the cursor from the place where I was editing - as though I was the one who selected his movement.
    Other instances have had the address list totally reset, instantly scrolling to the top of the list and highlighting the first name on the list, cutting me off mid-edit of another card. Has anyone else had this issue? I think it may have something to do with address book sharing - it feels like a refresh cycle or something.

  • Street addresses are gone

    When I upgraded my operating systems, all of my street addresses in contacts disappeared. Any way to get them back?

    All of this info is still present in my address book on my MacBook Pro, and it's out in MobileMe as well.
    If you are syncing contact info over the air with your MobileMe account on your iPhone, and all contact info is available/complete with your MobileMe online address book, turn Contact info off for over the air syncing with your MobileMe account on your iPhone. This will erase all contact info on your iPhone. Follow this by turning Contacts back on for over the air syncing with your MobileMe account on your iPhone.
