Missing tools in tool pane

i need to remove a link that keeps taking me to an ancient site full of dead links literally everytime i click anywhere to move. I've tried turning off all the settings, blocking it through the trust manager, and even turning off external weblinking for all files and it still happens. I'm told there are tools that can help with this, but the pdf is only showing 4 tools and most of the options are disabled.
Is there a way to fix this?

The tools for editing links are available in Acrobat, not in the free Reader.

I have a mac OS X 10.8.3 and adobe reader 11.0.02 and when I open a file and try to use the tools or comments pane, Adobe Reader crashes!

One thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way (remember to tick Paste remembers Layers in the Layer palette flyout/dropdown first, and to untick it afterwards).

Missing Red Eye tool in CS3

Hello all,
I'm writing this on behalf of my dad. He's still using Photoshop CS3 and apparently the red-eye tool has gone missing. It's not under the patch tool on the tools panel (I'm on good old CS5).
We've also tried the Shift+J shortcut mentioned on several similar posts but to no avail. Is there any other way to locate it?
As far as I understand, dad didn't make any system updates or anything. It has just gone missing. He showed me the menu over Skype screen share, the red eye tool is definitely not under the patch tool - in fact, there's just one tool choice if you click on that icon, instead of usual four.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

it's a little bit confusing to find it, I've to agree. Here what I found in my library:
Toolbox >>> select Zoom tool >>> (Zoom Tool button) >>> The arrow becomes a magnifying glass with a plus sign in the center. >>> Position the mouse over the area containing the red eye, and click until you can easily see the red eye(s). Right click the "spot healing brush" (Brush Tool button) >>> select the Red Eye Tool (Red Eye Tool Button) >>> The mouse changes into a crosshair.
Using "Pupil Size percent value" and the "Darken Amount percent value" are leading to more exact results.

Highlight tool, typewriter tool, etc. disappeared + gone from menu

I installed Acrobat 9.5.5 Pro as part of the CS4 Suite several years ago. I'm a casual user of Acrobat 9 Pro. I have used the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool on many documents over the years. Many that I have saved on my computer. They have renderable text!
Suddenly the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool, and others, have disappeared + are gone from the Tools + its sub-menus. I'm a pretty savvy computer user. I don't recall that I did anything to change the Tools menu.
When I go to View\Toolbars\More Tools... the the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool don't show there either.
I reinstalled Acrobat 9 Pro from the original CD... the tools menu is still missing the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool, and others. (I say "others" because, although I may not have used them, I sense there were previously more tools visible on the Tools + its sub-menus
Can anyone advise me how to recover the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool?

This happens to all PDF's, those created by me or otherwise. The files are not protected.
You pointed me to a link as a possible solution: "To use the Typewriter tool in Reader 9 on a PDF opened in the browser, enable this right on the PDF using Adobe Acrobat Professional." => "Choose Tools > Typewriter > Enable typewriter tool in Adobe Reader." => I don't have a problem with Reader 9. I cannot find this option in my Acrobat 9.5.5 Pro.
Neither the Highlight tool or Typewriter tool exist in the More Tools menu.
I cannot select highlighted text that I created by itself. I can select a block of text that contains highlighted text within the block,however I cannot modify it.
If I try to select a text box that I created with my mouse, it flashes a light blue shade very briefly as I left click on it, but does not actually select the box and allow me to access it.
This is so strange. I can't imagine what dumb thing I may have done to cause this.

SSIS Data flow item does not show on the Tools Choose Tools Item

I would like to add share point to my data source for my SSIS project.
After I installed Share Point Source and Destination list, I went to Tools Choose Tools Item, but SSIS Data Flow tab does not show. I went to SSIS Tools box, but the components are not there.
I would like to know are there any way to add Share Point Data source using SSIS.

I have installed the SharePointListAdaptersSetup-Beta-2012-01-28.msi in my SQL Server 2012 test environment, the SharePoint List Source and Destination adapters is listed in the Common type items of the SSIS Toolbox. To narrow down the root cause, please
try the following steps:
Make sure the SharePointListAdapters.dll exists in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\PipelineComponents folder.
Make sure it is installed to GAC successfully, the SharePointListAdapters.dll should exist in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\SharePointListAdapters\v4.0_1.2012.0.0__f4b3011e1ece9d47 folder.
Refresh the Toolbox and check the Common type items.
Since the SharePoint List Adapter is a third-party component, I would suggest you ask a question in its dedicated discussion plate:

which model MacBook Pro do you have, and which version of OS X is installed on it?

The variety tools within the type tool, rectangle tool, pencil tool, etc. etc are not opening in my CS4 Illustrator

I recently re-installed my CS4 and am trying to reacquaint myself with the various applications.
Where I was previously able to access the various tool options, i.e. under the Text Tool, Rectangle Tool, Pencil Tool, etc. they are not opening now.
Any suggestions out there as to what could be the problem?

Are you saying that they do not fly out when you ClickHold hovering over the main tools (that is the Illy way)?
If that be the case, you may start looking at the list, maybe going straight to 6).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

When I start my Illust CC, I can only click the tools in the tool box which are shown. I can not wright click my mose and reach other tools. How can I solve this problem ?

Photoshop missing in bridge tools menu since CC2014 upgrade

Photoshop is missing from the Bridge Tools menu since my CC2014 upgrade.
How do I get it back?

Well, My Ps CC is long gone and, apparently, re-installing it does not solve the problem. I posted another discussion on this issue within this forum entitled "Many communication issues between Photoshop CC 2014 and Bridge since update." Sorry, had forgotten about this one. I also tried calling Adobe's Tech support, but they don't seem even to be aware of such issues and were not able to present a solution over the phone. So far, here is a summary of what is happening with me, which I hope will help pinpoint everyone else's issues:
1. "Browse in Bridge" from Photoshop will result on CC app window opening asking if I am sure that I want to update "this Bridge version." I have no idea of what this means. I already updated Bridge and Photoshop over and over and the issue still occurs.
2. Bridge tools menu does not have the options to open images in Photoshop any longer. This is to me the most frustrating issue of all.
3. Mini Bridge is absent from Ps CC 2014
So, could Adobe please help here?

Missing tools in tool drop

I was trying to create headers and footers and went to tools but there is no document settings tool. All I have is find, print, settings and go to help. Am I missing something?

Document headers and footers are not supported in Numbers on the iPad, if I remember correctly. In fact, if you create a spreadsheet on your computer and transfer it to the iPad, it will be stripped of these elements.
I just tried importing a spreadsheet from my DropBox account, and received the following message:
"+Sheet settings, such as headers and footers, were removed.+"
