MMS messages will not automatically download. Samsung Galaxy 3
I will not be notified when I have a MMS. I will sometimes check my text messages. It will show I have a message. I click on it and it's from someone that has sent me a picture. It will ask me to download it. I click download, it downloads then it sends the notification bar. How can I have the message automatically download the pic and send the notification? Please help!!!! Thanks for your help!!!

Sorry to see you are having trouble with MMS. Let's see if we can get that working for you again! Try resetting the messaging app: http://vz.to/1tDa9U2 . Retest and let us know how it's working.

N97, new firmware, new messaging, will not automat...
Hi, in the weekend I upgraded my N97 to the new firmware 12, and also reinstalled the latest version of Nokia Messaging with html support.
Html support is great, however my new problem is that it does not automatically get new emails (it is configured for gmail over imap) like it used to. I have to manually choose send/receive.
I am pretty sure I have all the settings right.Sync is enabled in the inbox, application startup is on automatic, hours is set to on all day, send and recieve is set to soonest, just like how it was last week when it worked.
Not sure if the problem is related to the firmware or the new messaging. Probably the messaging. Any ideas?Log in to NM with a PC and check your profile.

Verizon Webmail site will not load on Samsung Galaxy Tab SCH-1800
Is there some compatibility issue with Verizon's Webmail site and the Galaxy Tab? In the past I have easily been able to access my Webmail account directly with the browser on my Galaxy Tablet. But over the past year or so, that access has gone away. At first I was told to download the FiOS app to my tablet. That worked for about 6 months. Now even the FiOS app does not work. When I type any version of the "netmail.verizon.net" or "webmail.verizon.net" or "myverizon/webmail.net" I get redirected to the Home Verizon page. From there, I don't get any login links and thus I can not access my email root server from this tablet. I've called Customer Support on numerous occassions but nobody seems to have any clue why this is happening. Does anybody know if there is some compatibility issue with this old tablet and the website? Perhaps the platform is no longer supported, or the Android OS is too old?? Very frustrating that nobody can answer this simple question.
Samsung is usually late to the party.. no real info but i know most of their devices are last to get any updates

I am receiving my Iphone 5 in the mail soon. I am going to connect it to my macbook pro. I am afraid that the apps I have downloaded on my iPhone 4 will transfer over to my iPhone 5. I do not want this to happen. I don't believe it will but I want to be sure. If this question isn't clear please let me know. a
It will NOT automatically download your app that were on your iPhone 4.

I have an IPhone 5, I can receive instant messages but when I reply to the messages specifically to my friends samsung galaxy running droid he will not receive my message. Anybody having a simuler issue?

I just tried updating ITunes to the new version and it will not completely download and now I get an error message of MSVCR80. Is there a problem with the new iTunes version?

Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Ever since I had updated my phone to ios 6, i noticed that it no longer saved photos to my camera roll. If I take a picture on Instagram, it will not automatically save it to my camera roll as it used to do, nor does it save any image, I just want it fixed.
To gdgmacguy your a f****** idiot for one I'm having the same problem as pennymar. And you tell me to quit whinning. You got more problems then the iOS 6 you did not answer my question nor the other 13 or whatever you replied to within a 30 min time frame. You must got nothing better to do then to harass people and to pretend you know something about apple products. Which you don't from what I've read the other advices you should have gave to other people. But you didn't you replied a question back to the people asking a question. So if your not gonna use these community forums the right way don't use them at all.

You've subscribed to a podcast but have more than five unplayed episodes. iTunes will stop automatically downloading newer episodes. You may get the following message:
iTunes has stopped updating this podcast because you have not listened to any episodes recently. Would you like to resume updating this podcast?
You can click Yes to continue downloading additional episodes. Or you can just listen to any part of any episode and a new episode will download at the next update.I believe that feature was added in order to reduce wasted costs to the Podcaster.
Podcasts incur costs - that have to be paid for, by someone. That cost will be the cost of hosting the Podcast on a server somewhere and more crucially (with regard to your point), the cost of the Podcast being downloaded to your computer. Every download costs the Podcaster money (typically, charged by bytes downloaded).
If that Podcaster pays for the whole thing personally, obviously they want to keep down any unnecessary cost to themselves. If the Podcaster is earning money for his or her Podcast (typically from advertising within the programme) then obviously, the advertiser only wants to pay for advertisements heard by listeners. So a download, not heard by the downloader, is waste of the Podcaster's money or no payment from the advertiser.
My own experience is that I only have to resume downloading once per programme. I'm usually several episodes behind on two different Podcasts that I follow, but I do not recall having to repeat the resume Podcast after that first time. -

Mail 4.5 (1084) is not automatically downloading larger attachments (i.e. a 2 MB file) without the user clicking on the SAVE button or the attachment icon (white square with down arrow).
Before download:
The problem is that if the user accidentally deletes the message before downloading the attachment, and then views that message in the trash OR moves the message from the trash back to inbox, the attachment is lost and message appears garbled up.
This is not a problem if user clicks SAVE or clicks attachment icon itself before deleting it - message and attachment will be readable in trash and when restored to inbox.
Question:
Is there a way to force Mail to download all attachment regardless of size without requiring user interaction?

igActually smaller attachments are downloaded automatically, or perhaps it depends on attachment type?
Try the same with say 2MB .PPT file .. email the file to yourself. It will come through as "click to download" icon (see image above). Trash the message (before SAVE or clicking on attachment), now try opening it in the trash or pulling it back to inbox and then open it. Attachment is gone and you get garbage - clearly extra data is there but is non-readable.
Not a big issue for a single user - potentially very big issue for an admin supporting large number of end-users, some of which are recent Outlook transplants.
Btw, I'm using IMAP server and I have enabled "Store deleted messages on the server" -
Why can I not automatically download a new voice as the Dictation
I have bought Bingo Caller Pro for Mac as I live in a retirement village, and wish to use it for that purpose, however, (voice) Alex is not understood by some of our older ladies.
I have tried to download both Tessa (South african voice) and Daniel (UK voice) as the option says This voice will be automatically downloaded. After the whole download process is complete, I get a message, sorry not complete an error occurred. Plain "Bingo Caller" is there in the PREVIEW page but the link to the Mac App Store resolves to the Mac App Store Main page.

I am trying to pair my cell phone and tablet using Messages App, but only MMS messages will come through on my tablet. I've tried pairing and unpaired, reinstalling app on my tablet, and can't figure it out. Any idea how to fix this?

I have had this ongoing problem. I cannot get images to automatically load in mail. Instead I always have to click the load images button. I click on a message, click load images, the images load. I click on another message, then back to the message with the images and have to reload them.
In preferneces I have turned the View>Load remote HTML images on and off and on again, and rebotted multiple times. It makes no difference. The images do not load.
I checked Little Snitch, but all ports are open.
My firewall is set to let everything connect to mail. Even just turning off the firewall does not solve the problem.
I tried removing com.apple.mail.plist but that did not work either.
This problem occurs in Mail on a MacBook Pro and on a MacBook Air both using the newest version of OS Mountain Lion. The problem happened in OS Lion as well.
The senders are in my contacts, so that doesn't help either.
This is not an issue with the serve sending the images. The images load if I click load images. They just will not automatically laod.
I've read tons of posts but no one seems to know how to solve the problem.

This is not a problem specific to Lion, but most recent OS X versions. Regularly I receive email formatted as HTML, which includes JPEG images embedded within them. These images are technically attachments, and as such, Mail.app displays them as a placeholder. Other mail apps will display these images inline, regardless of them being an attachment, remote image or otherwise.
How can I make these images load automatically?
MacBook, Unibody, Mac OS X (10.7), 750GB, 7200RPM WD HDD, 4GB RAM

No-one replied, but I found a solution on another board. Run Terminal (do a Spotlight search if you don't know where to find this), and type:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool false
This will force Mail not to disable inline attachment viewing. Obviously, to reverse this, simple replace 'false' at the end with 'true'.

Most recent episode not automatically downloading
Hello,
My podcast seems to be valid according to feedvalidator.org, but it's not automatically downloading the most recent episode when I subscribe to it. I've read about other's having this same issue but it was always because they had errors in their RSS code.

I think your problem lies with your latest podcast episode, which is the first that the iTunes client will download, it has a mismatched filetype:

Since the file is an MPEG4 audio file (.m4a) it should be type="audio/x-m4a"

Since downloading Yosemite 10.10.2, emails are not automatically downloading. I have to either click on Get Mail or click in and out om mailbox.

It sounds like your Mail application is not checking for mail automatically anymore after updating to 10.10.2. It seems to me that the setting for this may have reset, or changed at some point thereafter so I would check the preferences for the Mail application:
General preferences - Mail Help
Check for new messages
When Mail gets new messages from the mail server. By default, the option is set to Automatically (Mail varies how often it gets messages, based on whether your Mac is plugged into an electrical outlet).
An IMAP account may get messages more frequently if the mail server supports the IDLE command; make sure the option to use it is selected in the account’s Advanced pane in Mail preferences.
If you set the option to Manually, click the Get Mail button in the Mail toolbar to check for messages. (Whenever you click an IMAP or Exchange mailbox, it syncs with the server, and shows new messages.)
