MMS not sending anymore...

I've had this issue for awhile now maybe like 2/3 months where my mms msges dont send. Whenever i attempt to send a picture for example the progress bar gets stuck towards the end for a bit then a red exclamation mark is shown indicating that it did not send. Previously i had no issue sending mms msges, dont know what ive done that could have changed this. MMs is enabled in settings, ive tried restarting several times but nothing has worked. Just want to know whether there is anything i can do, at least on the software side before i consult my phone carrier Optus with a harsh email to their technical department!

MMS is a carrier feature. If enabled on your account(check with your carrier), & enabled on your phone, then you need to contact your carrier.

Yahoo Mail not sending anymore

My Yahoo Mail on Mac Mail was working fine until a few days ago. It could not send out email any more. I have tried a few different settings including smtp.mail.yahoo.com (my original setting which worked until recently) and also plus.smtp.yahoo.com. Incoming mail is still working fine. My other mailbox also setup for the same Mac Mail is also working fine incoming and sending both ways.
Any ideas?
(By the way, I did not subscribe to Yahoo Plus)

Am having same problem. Spent 45 minutes with Apple support via telephone yesterday. They said it is a problem with Yahoo after we went through power cycling, resetting (home+sleep/wake), and re-configuring Yahoo email support (which did solve the problem for about 12 hours).
See below for a snip from the message I sent to Yahoo support. I'll post the response I get from them, if I get one.
I am using an iPhone and am having problems sending email. I have tried sending messages from my iPhone using my Yahoo mail account configured through the shortcut on the iphone.
Yesterday I lost about 10 sent messages - I typed them and hit send (while I had EDGE service) and the iPhone indicated they had been sent, but the items did not show up in my sent items folder (on iPhone and on Yahoo Mail online).
I contacted Apple support and they walked me through power cycling iPhone, resetting iPhone, and finally re-signing up for Yahoo Mail via the iphone (i.e. setting up Yahoo on the iPhone email client again). This resolved the problem until it began to recur today.
I have sent several emails from my iPhone, all of which have appeared to send without incident but show up in neither iPhone sent mail folder or online Yahoo sent mail folder. I have used my Gmail account via iPhone without incident or interruption during these periods of time, so I know it is a problem between the iPhone and yahoo mail.

IPhone 5 MMS not sending to people without iPhones.

So I've had my iPhone 5 for quite a while now and I've been searching why isn't my iPhone sending MMS messages to people that don't have iPhones. They also cannot send me pictures either. I don't know what this Vodafone thingy majigy is but supposedly that's what caused the problem and they found a solution to it but I don't think that implies to me. I don't have that on my phone or I don't think I do? Anyone else still having trouble sending mms messages?

Have you tried a wipe of the iPhone and start a new?
If not do so but don't forget to back the phone up before hand.

Mail not sending anymore with multiple accounts

I am experiencing some problem with Mail (v4.5 with SnowLeopard). I cannot send e-mails anymore. This has happened on and off in the last 4 months but now it doesn’t seem to be able to send at all.
When sending I get an e-mail that tells me that the SMTP server is not available and asks me to select another server. I have 3 POP e-mail accounts with the same provider. If I run the diagnostic tool all 3 mail accounts are green so does the SMTP server. The SMTP server was running ok without authentication before.
Reading different threads a partial solution seems to add authentication on the SMTP server (using the first e-mail and the password).
The first e-mail account can now send correctly but the two others are sending but I get a e-mail back telling me that the e-mail could not be sent as the sender e-mail does not correspond to the SMTP account one.
I tried to create 3 different SMTP accounts each one with the specific e-mail address as identifier and the corresponding password, but 2 of them stay off line.

MMS Not sending

I'm trying to send a picture from my Palm Pre via MMS over my network (Vodafon in Germany), but it's not arriving at the recipient. Could it be that the picture is too large? Is there some setup for the MMS when I made the switch to the Palm Pre that I missed? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Oliver

is there new settings i need for mms so i can send messages.

ATT does have a flag on one's account with an iphone to say you can't receive MMS, which then triggers the viewmymessage txt to come instead. I had problems when I first moved my iphone to an already established account that had an MMS capable device. They hadn't put the flag on it that i now had an iphone so I never recieved the MMS nor the viewmymessage txt. I don't know if that affects sending of MMS as down below I see he got it to work, but it will probably affect your incoming MMS tests. You'll probably have to call them and tell them to remove the "phone is not capable of MMS" flag from your account so you can receive them.

IPhone 4 factory unlocked 5.1.1 MMS not sending blank bubble, why?

I can receive mms but when I try to send a pic the picture won't send. The difference with this issue is that when I choose the picture from iMessage and the picture is inserted into the text field, the picture does not show and it's just a white blank picture bubble and the picture won't show until I press send but the picture always fails to send. everything was normal, I had the tmobile mms setting and this randomly happened one day that I decided to send a picture to someone. I've rebooted the device but I don't want to go through the process of restoring the phone.

If you're using TMobile in the U.S., MMS may not work exactly as it's supposed to. TMobile isn't a supported carrier.

Iphone 3G MMS not sending

Hello.
Just the other day I finally updated my iphone 3G so I could send MMS/ Picture messages but it doesnt seem to be working. Whenever I try to send an mms it starts to send (the sending bar comes up) but it can never fully send the message and the red exclamtion mark pops up. I read the troubleshoot article and followed and checked everything that it mentioned like restarting my iphone, making sure that I have the MMS service turned on in my phone settings, making sure that it is compatible with the service I have making sure that when I send it it's on 3G and making sure I have all the current updates. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks

MMS not sending after latest update

I'm pretty sure this just started since the update to 4.2, but my picture messages are not going through. The progress bar gets 95% there and then it just fails to send and gives me the exclamation point. Same thing happening on my wife's iPhone 4.

After talking with AT&T, Apple and searching Google, it seems that AT&T has a size limit of 600kb on pictures and the new update doesn't auto-resize pictures to comply with that. The camera on the screen side of the phone is lesser quality and seems to send ok.
The guy at AT&T says they won't raise the limit because it would cause more congestion on thier network. So Apple needs to either fix the resize issue or add settings to the camera so we can take smaller pictures.

IPhone 3GS MMS not sending

I just upgraded my iPhone to IOS 6 and my only current issue is that that device is unable to send picture messages. My iPad works fine and is able to send pictures between the two via iMessaging however AT&T says it’s an apple issue and they have no work around outside of restarting the device which I have done many times. Is there a work-around that has worked for anyone else?

My advise to you would be contact the apple technical team, they may be able to help you.

The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it. So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair. I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got. I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully. What do I get in return? Nothing. Not a damned thing!! You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!! Firefox and Thunderbird do not communicate anymore : I can't open links from TB emails ( a href... ) and can't send mail from FF pages (mailto)

I come here because firefox and thunderbird are not working together anymore. This is what happens :
- Firefox and Thunderbird are opened
- I click on a link in an email
- A few seconds after that a Firefox windows pops up. The title is : "Close Firefox", the content is : "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
Second case :
- Firefox is closed and Thunderbird is open
- I click on a link in an email
- A few seconds after that a Firefox windows pops up as expected. Firefox opens the link as expected but doesn't opens the other tabs as usual (when i start FF it re-opens previous tabs)
Third case :
- Firefox and Thunderbird are opened
- I click on a link to send an email (<a href="mailto:......@.....">)
- A few seconds after that a Thunderbird windows pops up. The title is : "Close Thunderbird", the content is : "Thunderbird is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
As in the second case, if TB is closed when i click on the mailto, TB opens properly and send the email.
If Internet Explorer is set as my default browser, it works fine for "Thunderbird -> link -> IE" but the "IE-> mailto -> TB" still doesn't work.
I already looked up for some answers on google but can't find something which works.

Check the target field in the Firefox desktop shortcut and make sure that you do not start Firefox with the -no-remote switch or have set the environment variable MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 (Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment variables).
Always make sure to start at least the default profile without the -no-remote command line switch.
If you need to have more than one profile open at the same time then start subsequent instances with the -no-remote command line switch.
You can not send links from other programs to a Firefox instance that is started with the -no-remote switch.
In such a case you need to drag links in a Firefox window or paste the link in the location bar.

I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC. I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off. Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage. I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging. Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on. What happened to regular MMS text messaging? I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program. I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.

The email program on my iphone is not configured to remove messages from the server.
If iMessage is turned off I don't have the issue.

Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

Both cameras (front/back) will not work anymore. I would tap on the camera app, and the camera shutters would stay closed for a while and when it finally opens, it leaves a full blank screen. Is there a way I could send it in and get that repaired?

Why can i receive but not send mms?

i have the iphone 3g and have upgraded to 3.0
i can receive mms, but not send them. the bar goes to about 90% of the way, then i am left with a red blob, telling me it failed.
any idea why or what to do to resolve it?

I had the same problem with Optus in Australia.
It turned out to be a problem with my profile at their end. I was set to be a prepaid customer, when really I have an account. They fixed it in a few seconds by recreating my profile.
