MobileMe Gallery not working in iWeb

Trying to create a iWeb page and wanna use mobileme gallery widget but the widget does not work. It tells me to add gallery and movies to the widget and thats already done. What do I do???

I pasted the video from vimeo in a hotmail snippet.
Do I still need to paste this in another hotmail snippet on the same blog page? How do you know what number to replace in 123456?

is that the same for all your galleries, or only one particular gallery?
Do your galleries sync o.k. with Mobile Me? Do you see the sync sign below?
Try, if you can "Tell a friend" from the "Web Interface" - click the MobileMe button and select "Visit ...", from your gallery it is also possible to invite people to view. If that also does not work, something probably is wrong with your Mobile Me settings in the System Preferences.
If the web interface works, but not the Aperture interface,check the Aperture Preferences -> Web.
It should show your account as enabled.

MobileMe gallery not showing in iweb

Hi,
I seem to be having problems with the mobileme widget in Iweb.
I created a new album for my web page and when i pull the widget into iweb - it is only recognising one album. I have logged in and out of mobile me...iweb...tried the various suggestions from other forums and nothing seems to work...very frustrating.
I went onto the mobileme apple support where i thought there was 24/7 live support - but after trawling through different pages - couldn't find the option that would allow for live chat...not sure if that has been withdrawn now...but have not been impressed by how difficult it has been to get help by apple on this.

MobileMe gallery not working ATV2?

I can access my MM galleries via web, mac, iPad, iPhone, etc without issue and from my old appletv. ATV2 accepts my MM user name under the Internet / MobileMe. I get one of the following every time, it either gives me the spinning with no end looking for something OR more commonly is tells me I have no galleries, which I have quite a few.
I have tried deleting the profile and putting it back. Ive tried resetting all settings. I finally did a complete restore - no change. I'm about to take it back for an exchange. Any other ideas?

Ok, odd. I can add my wife's account at is a sub account of my master. I can add my father in laws account that is not associated. I can load friends MM accounts and see galleries but not mine. Now mine are all password protected and always have been. This was not an issue with the old model appletv. It would just ask for the password but would show that i have galleries. Right now, nothing.

If you don't try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.

SWF/Flash hyperlink not working in iweb

Hi guys,
Really really stuck with this one...
I have a flash file of which i have placed wihin my iweb site (the flash file shows and operates perfectly)
However - the SWF's hyperlink will not work within iweb.
The flash file itself is fine and the nyperlink within it works perfectly when opened within a browser.
Here is the code below - if anybody has any help I would be so grateful.

I've tried about 5 different codes now and although they all show the flash button - none of them allow the hyperlink within it to work properly.
So frustrating.
The closest one was this one;

But that opens up the link insiade a small iframe window instead of the full external window.

Mobileme widget not working

I have a page set up in iWeb 09 and have a album page with all our mobileme gallery zI went to add a new mobileme widget and it does not see anything at all. I clicked to move 2 other ones and they are dead now as the others keep working.
What is going on NOW???

It's a bug that came up just recently. Send a bug report to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iweb.html.

Links and photo gallery not working!

Hi,
I've just created a website by iWeb. After publishing the site in the local folder I've uploaded the entire contents to the server by FTP. From local folder it works fine but while trying to view online, the links between the pages not working (even not visible) at the same time my photo gallery is also not working (not visible). I was using Safari in mac.The same problem occurs while I am trying to browse the site from in my pc (copied the file in a local folder) and using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer
If anyone can tell me what is the possible error?

From viewing your site it's apparent that not all of the files are being uploaded to the server. Particularly those in the Scripts folder.
Have you opened your locally published site with your browser and checked it out? I think you'll find that the navbar will display correctly on both pages and the rest of the site will properly.
What ftp client are you using to upload the files? If you haven't tried the free Cyberduck client give it a try. Many users have found it to be successful where other clients were having problems.

MobileMe Gallery - not respecting Aperture security setup

I have around 5 albums on my MobileMe gallery which are synchronised with Aperture (in fact I create them in Aperture).
Of these albums, 2 are password-protected and 3 are public. I haven't created an album in a while (probably since Aperture 2!) and I have been trying to create a public (i.e. no password) album to no avail.
Basically, although in Aperture, the settings for the album are listed as "public" access, whenever I try to access the album on the web through MobileMe Gallery, I am asked for a password. I have tried re-syncing, tried creating multiple new albums - whatever I do I am always asked for a password and the thumbnails of these newly created albums have the padlock icon denoting that they are password protected.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hi there
I tested with an empty library and discovered that it was definitely an issue linked to 1 particular library (rather than the app as a whole).
Thanks for linking to the Troubleshooting page for Aperture - although I had previously trashed preferences and selected "Repair Database" this did not solve the problem so I tried the "Rebuild" option which always scares me but it did work this time (I made sure I had a Vault backup just in case)!

Creating a MobileMe gallery & NOT sharing with everyone?

Hi, how do I restrict visibility of a MobileMe gallery to just a few users?
Prior to uploading there is a menu where it is possible among other setting to choose to share with 'everyone', 'just me' or 'selected people'.
Ok the issue is with the selected people list.
Do I understand this right that I have to give a 'name' & a password for every person I want to share the gallery with?
Ok I have put in 3 names and given them a password. But then it goes back to the main pre-loading options and I can see all the names in the drop down along with 'everyone', 'just me' etc... so how do I select those 3 ??? It looks as if I can only select one name. Do I have to do this one at a time or do I give all the people I want to share with a single name ? Is that how it is supposed to work ?

While viewing the MMe gallery in iPhoto click on the Settings button to bring up the Settings pane. Then click on the Advanced button to show additional options.
There you have two options:
1 - select Hide Album on my Gallery Page

Which will keep viewers who are viewing your other galleries from visiting the hidden gallery. You can then just give the URL for that gallery to those who you want to view. But they could give it to others.
2 - select Edit Names and Passwords in the Album Viewable by drop down menu and create a single username and password for those selected to view it or a username and password for each individual.

Quicktime slides show movies not working in iweb

made keynote (hyperlinks only) slideshows, then exported to quicktime. slideshows work on desk top but not online in iweb o8 ( movie pages). Largest show is 4.4mb. they sometimes work, but mostly run on arbitrary loop. if i cant figure this out I might have to leave iweb. have I missed somthing simple?

I solved the problem by simply removing Safari and using an other browser. I'll have to remove the sentence on my webpages that advises people to use Safari.

Form Mail widget not working in iWeb 09

The FormMail widget that was working in iWeb 08 is no longer working in iWeb 09. Any ideas on what is wrong?

I got your message, but my email server won't let me reply to your address. Don't know why.
Anyway, I'm not sure what you mean you copied and pasted the code into a new page. Did you copy some code into a new document and name it with a .pl extension?
The formmail script that I've been using for years and is widely available from many sites is named "nms formmail" and it is a PERL script. The file's name ends with a .pl extension. You have to customize it for your uses, as far as the email referrer's and the email addresses you want the form on your site to be able to send to.
After you customize the formmail.pl script, you ftp it into the cgi-bin directory that is provided by your site hosting company, on their server. You can't do this with iWeb. You have to make sure the permissions on the cgi-bin folder and file are set to 755 (you can do this by getting info in CyberDuck.
Now you build the form in some program (I use Dreamweaver), but look around and there are other programs that can do this. After the form is set up properly, to post to the perl script, with the proper hidden fields that control the recipient number, the required fields, field order, etc, you copy and paste the code for the form into an HTML widget that's been placed on your Contact page in iWeb and upload the changed page.
When all of these conditions are met, perfectly, you can have a form on a page that can accept user input, and that gets emailed to an address you choose, without having any email addresses on a page for the spambots to find.
Now, there are other ways to do this, but when you mentioned formmail I assumed you were using either the original FormMail.pl file from "Matt's Scripts" or the newer more secure version named "NMS FormMail".
If that's not the case, then maybe you can provide a link to this "FormMail" site that you went to so that we can determine what you are using and trying to do.
Sorry for the confusion, but there are so many ways to configure these sites that I can't take anything for granted. Based on the graphic of your "Site" folder layout, you don't appear to be using iWeb's built-in ftp so you may need to make some changes, like duplicating the cgi-bin directory from the online site, putting your perl script into it, then upload your site in such a way that you don't change the directory structure for the online site.

WordPress in Gallery not working today

I have used the Wordpress gallery item previously and it worked great. Today, I need to create a new WordPress site and the Gallery is not working. The site comes up blank. I never get to the setup screen.
Please let us know when the gallery is fixed.

1.Are you able to create an empty site?
2.Are you able to create a gallery site using a different template? e.g. try an "ASP.NET Empty Site".
I have just tried to create the Wordpress Webapp from the Classic Portal and find that I am able to create the it (does not load blank to me), we can be sure that there aren't any issues currently with creating webapp using these templates.
You can also try to create the Webapp from the New portal and let us know the result:
1. Connect to the new portal (https://portal.azure.com) with the Subscription ID where you created the web site originally.
2. Create a Webapp with the exact name that you are trying to create.
Please let me know the results when you try this.

Constant Contact's HTML signup form not working in iWeb 3.3, only displays code

I'm trying to add an email signup form to my iWeb 3.3 website. I use Constant Contact for my email and event marketing and they provide the code to paste into one's HTML code (I can post the code if need be). When I use the HTML Snippet widget to do this, however, instead of getting the form I get messy bits and pieces of code not only in iWeb but in the published version of my website. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

@Wyodor - Tried your suggestion, but it resulted in nothing being displayed. I guess it's better than messy code being displayed, but still no good.

IWeb photo gallery not working!

Hello everyone! I built my website using iWeb and it has been up and running perfectly for a few months now. But, then I decided to try and update it with photos of artwork. I uploaded all files to my web-host's server, and now the page shows, but not the photo gallery! Any ideas as to what happened? Here is the site & page. My web hosting company is looking at it, but they have yet to discover what the issue is.. Any advice you can provide is most appreciated!

You are missing a number of files from your website. You can see which are missing by bringing up the Activity window (Command+Option+A) while viewing the Places page in Safari and looking at the list of files in the window.
How are you publishing the site? With iWeb? If so then try using the File ➙ Publish Entire Site menu option to see if that will force those missing files to be uploaded.
If that doesn't work you can publish your site to a folder on your hard drive and use a 3rd party FTP client, like the free Cyberduck, to upload the site files. If you have to continue to use Cyberduck this tutorial may help: #2 - Uploading Only Those Newly Published or Edited Files When Using a 3rd Party FTP Client.
