MobileSync Issue

So I recently bought a new Macbook Pro when my old macbook died on me.  I was able to take out the hard drive and access all my documents, but thought it would be a good time to clean up my files.  Doing a little research I found that my MobileSync folder is over 180gb!!  Now the files go all the way back to 2010 and both my wife and I use the same computer to backup our phones.
My questions are these:
1 - Do I need anything other than the latest backup?  Searching through the boards it's seems like I don't but before deleting the last file...
2 - How can I determine which backup is the last for my phone and the last one for my wife's?  If it's not possible to tell by the files, what would I need to do so that we don't lose everything on our phones?
3 - When locating the backup folders I found them in my Application Support folder on my old hard drive, but I can't find a MobileSync folder on my new Macbook Pro.  I tried backing up my iPhone thinking it might create a folder to copy the files into, but I still can't locate the MobileSync folder to copy the backups over (once I figure out which ones I absolutely need...)
Thanks in advance for any help given!
JT

Apologies for reraising this issue being just over a month old now, but I'm still having issues regarding this.
Basically, our domain user profiles are set to a limit of 30MB. Soon it'll be globally increased to 50MB, which for some in the office who have iphones this is helpful, but for others like my company's CEO, every time he hooks up his to sync, it auto backs up his phone and said data quickly grows larger than 100MB.
I've read that the entire Application data (XP)/AppData (Vista) folders can be relocated, but then it's matter of changing the user shell in registry editor. The problem here is that once it's moved outside the user profile shell, it won't be backed up to our DC.
Is there anyone who can please shed any light regarding the physical movement of at least the MobileSync folder?

  • How to move mobilesync back up to Itunes so I can restore my Iphone?

Last night I needed to restore my iphone. It had too much "other" space and therefore would not backup to Icloud, so I went to the apple store and they told me I would have to back it up to itunes. Last night I backed my iphone up at 3:31pm. I then reset my iphone settings, and my iphone started to back up from the back up I had just created. It said it would take about 30-35 minutes to complete the restore. At 3:34pm the plug came undone during the restore, I plugged my iphone back in and it seemed to have overwritten my back up and created a new one at 3:35. My old one had disappeared from 3:31. I restored using the 3:35 back up, and it only brought back regular apps, no contacts, no photos, nothing but apps. At this point I called apple and was on the phone with them for an hour, and ultimately was able to restore using am incomplete icloud back up from january 2nd, that was unable to finish because of the lack of space. This only brought back my contacts, NO photos or anything else.
ANYWAY, today I did some googling, and learned about this spot on my computer called "Mobilesync." It was here where I found my back up at 3:31... I was excited when I found it, because I am pretty sure this is the back up I started with, but yesterday it had not appeared when I opened itunes and then went to preferences, it only had the 3:35 back up. DOES ANYONE know how to bring this back up which is in the mobile sync folder into itunes so I can restore it??
    PLEASE help!!

  • I moved the mobilesync path where my backups should be stored. However, since then I moved some folders around which I think is the source of my error. I can no longer backup my iphone. How do I fix this?

A while ago, I moved the mobilesync path so that it would stop trying to backup onto my C drive. However, since then I moved some folders around which I think is the source of my error. I can no longer backup my iphone It just tells me that the backup is corrupted. When i go to preferences, devices, and look under backups it is empty. How do I fix this?

    Howdy there mjspace1994,
It sounds like you are unable to backup your phone after moving the mobile sync folder from its default location. If moving it back manually does not resolve the issue, I would next use either of the following articles to remove iTunes from your computer and then re install it. The articles outline the proper order to remove them in, and step by step instructions:
Remove and Reinstall iTunes and other software components from Windows XP
Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,

  • Issues with new Ipod, & questions Ive searched the forum for with no luck!

    Hi everyone!
Just got a brand new Ipod Touch 8G, used to have a used 16G but it finally broke. So since I bought this one brand new I actually decided to register it with Itunes under my email, unlike the last one which someone gave me and I could never get to let me sign in. I also JUST changed banks, and dont have the CC yet 4 the new one so I tried using Paypal as my registration payment type for Itunes, even went into Paypal and added ALL my new bank routing numbers, AND put a little cash into Paypal. At first this seemed to work fine with Itunes, it let me finish signing up and even let me start downloading a few free things, THEN I went into my separate paypal account window to remove an OLD prepaid Netspend card in case anyone charged the old card (trust me prepaid cc are a scam!) it wouldnt take my money from the bank thru paypal. AS SOON as i removed the card, Itunes stopped downloading my free stuff, and told me I had to verify payment information, took me to the main Itunes screen, where i again chose Paypal, only this time it took me right into Paypal to where u go to add a credit card and it told me I NEEDED to add a credit or debit card to paypal! WHY? It had worked fine, I have money on the account and a BANK ACCOUNT attatched!
*So i decided to just work on copying my music from my computer to the Ipod since I couldnt get Itunes working. This is where I have a few questions, have searched here cant really find the info so here goes...
first of all since I'm sure someone will ask what VERSION I have, WHERE the heck do you find this info? Cause all I know is its a brand new 8G Touch, it says nothing on the box about a version, when I access my General Settings on the Ipod, and go to About it says Version 4.0. So i guess thats my version even tho people on here have said there is nothing that high for the 8G?
**Second, i have been trying to find a better way to organize my music. I KNOW i can simply go to Music, Artist, pick the band then hit shuffle, BUT I am a big fan of playlists, I like my music to play in a certain way usually. But I have some artists that I have HOURS of music for, Im not sure i understand how I can change exactly what songs play by this artist, in a certain order for that time? I'm guessing I need to use my actual Itunes computer screen to do this? Right now I just have all my songs by an artist under a playlist with their name.. However, I am more than willing to sacrifice some of my longer playlists with just one artist in them if ANYONE thinks that it would help free up ANY more space? I have seen quotes from Apple and such that say the 8G should be able to hold around 1700 songs, of course i know this is a rough estimate, as some songs are longer, but I havent put THAT much on it, under my General/About tab it says 360 songs, and I removed ALL my pics from it cause i have a lot, and STILL I have already supposedly filled up 3.73GB, and this bring me to my next big issue-
**WHY does it claim to be 8G but my capacity now says its just 6.83!? I mean I havent added anything but music yet, and I planned on getting some of the free apps n such, but at this rate I wont have the space! I know 6.83 isnt far from 8, but still I feel cheated...does it have anything to do with the UPDATED version of the software that Apple convinced me to update RIGHT after I had JUST installed the Ipod? Cause it took forever then it said it was RESTORING my Ipod, and it told me on Itunes that it was restoring my music from backup! Why would it have erased all content during a basic upgrade without even telling me? Is there any way to uninstall that update and get back the memory it took up? And do these backup files take up space like on a normal computer? what about under settings where it says something about condense? I just think I must be doing something wrong cause 8G and 16G arent THAT vastly different, but the old touch I had had a WHOLE BUNCH more music on it PLUS 1000s of pics, PLUS some Apps, and wasnt nearly full, this one I added my fav artists and its nearly full?
Well, thanks a bunch for anyone who stuck with me there...I'm not tech stupid I promise lol, I'm a 26 yr old college student and have even worked tech support before, but i admit I'm not at all familiar with the Apple software, system or much beyond the basics...I just spent nearly 200 on this thing, and it IS a great toy, I just want to be able to fully use it!
Oh also, ive heard two things, that you DONT need a "sensor" seperate thing for the Nike app with the Touch, and that yes you DO...any idea? If i DO need to BUY something else I do not want it and can I remove it to free up space??
thanks a bunch eagerly awaiting any answers...might have to call Apple today about the Itunes payment registration thing...

    Welcome to the discussions,
WHY does it claim to be 8G but my capacity now says its just 6.83
The size of you HD is calculated binary when it comes to use it, instead of decimal when companies want to advertise there products. 1 KB=1024Byte instead of 1000KB as advertised by the manufacturer. In your case this reduces the actual available space by the factor of 0.93 or approx. 7,4GB.
If you have an "other" section in your color bar showing the different types of data on your ipod, which is bigger than 500MB, this could be a sign of corrupt data caused by a sync that did not complete or copied damaged data. A restore will reduce the size to normal again.
    Restoring: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you restore your ipod, iTunes will install the newest firmware first and then add back your data and settings from your last backup if you choose to "restore from backup". Every backup is replaced by the following one, so make sure to include this folder in your backup routine in case you'll have to go back.
You can check the location and size of the backup folder for your ipod here:
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

Sorry, I can't answer your payment question, I have never used your kind of setup, maybe you can find something useful here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/

  • "MobileSync stopped working" & "Yahoo Go Sync Client" error while syncing

I know the iTunes 9.1 update errors have been reported in this forum. Not sure if others are experiencing the same issues of syncing. I have an iPhone 3G and I sync my calendar and contacts via iTunes to my laptop. I use Microsoft Exchange for e-mail syncing not Mobile Me.
I am receiving the error "MobileSync stopped working" since the iTune 9.1 update. I am also getting Yahoo Go Sync Client error with the MobileSync error. I am running Windows Vista with MSOutlook 2007. I have restored my IPhone. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes on my laptop. I unstalled and reinstalled Apple Mobile Device Support via my PC's Control Panel. Nothing has worked.
    Any suggestions / recommendations?

I agree that Apple has let their customer base down. And since they are introducing a new product you'd think they would be extra responsive right now. I feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. No one gets to see the wizard! I used to be able to sync my contacts with my Yahoo account but no more. I received the same error that is listed in the subject line. I resorted to creating a Google account which seems to be working. But iTunes locks up all the time and keeps trying to "contact yahoo" in the background even though I have it pointed to syncing with Google. I'm also now getting an error that I have not had to deal with since I had my first iPhone. The dreaded "no default mail client" error. I don't have Outlook only Outlook Express using Microsoft XP. Any suggestions would be appreciated in how to get rid of the last error. I can't remember how I finally got rid of that one as it's been several years now.

  • Restore Backup Issue

I was experiencing some trouble with my iPhone this morning, and I decided I should try and restore it to fix the problems I was having. I made sure I backed my device up to ensure that I would not lose anything valuable on my phone. Then I restored my iPhone. As soon as the restoring process had completed, I was asked if I wanted to restore my iPhone from a backup saved on the computer. I then clicked on the backup that I wanted to use. Then an error message popped up on screen saying I couldn't restore my phone from this back up because the software on my phone was too old?! So then iTunes proceeded to overwrite this extremely valuable backup of mine with a new completely blank and empty backup of the new restored phone. Is there anyway I can retrieve the old backup of mine? I tried ~/Library/Application\ Support/MobileSync/Backup/ and it did not solve my issue....

Thanks for replying, I have 2 backups in this week, the last one (before formatting) restores messages in drafts, BUT the other backup (For 5 days ago) restore my messages to inbox an My Folder just like what I put it before.
I think that maybe there a problem in the backing up algorithm (coding).
Whatever, why I can't copy my messages from phone memory to memory card easily? Just select option>Copy to>To Memory card or something like that.
And why I can't show both my phone memory contacts and SIM contacts in same timeI think I can't open SIM contacts to!) Also about SIM messages?
(Maybe this is a old way to store your contacts and messages in SIM card but maybe I need to do that for any reason!)

  • After I sync my ipod I'm getting the message that it cannot backup ipod because backup could not be saved on this computer does anyone know what I could try to resolve this issue?

After I sync my ipod itunes is giving me the message that backup for my ipod cannot be saved on the computer does anyone know what I could do to fix this issue?

Check out this Apple document -> iTunes: "Backup could not be saved on the computer" alert message
To resolve this issue, delete the backup in iTunes Preferences and then create a new backup. If you would like to retain a copy of the backup, you can move the backup file to a different location. The backup is located in the locations below.
On Windows Vista and Windows 7:
    \Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    To delete the backup file:
Open iTunes Preferences by choosing iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (Windows).
        Select Devices.
Select the device backup to delete.
Click Delete Backup. iTunes will ask if you are sure you want to delete the backup. Click Delete Backup.
        Click OK.
To manually create a new backup, right-click (or Control-click) iPhone on the left side of the iTunes window under Devices and choose Back Up from the shortcut menu.

  • Move "SyncServices" and "MobileSync" folders

    Hi,
My previous question regarding relocation itunes data worked flawlessly, however I now have a new issue.
When syncing, SyncServices and MobileSync folders in the user's application data\Apple Computer folder are growing with data and are getting too big for their profiles (30MB limit).
I have done a post search if this issue has been solved, and all I've been finding are unanswered questions that have been archived cannot be replied to.
Can some shed some light of if it's possible to move the entire "Apple Computer" folder without screwing up sync settings and without itunes sync recreating the data back in the original location?

Apologies for reraising this issue being just over a month old now, but I'm still having issues regarding this.

  • IPhone 4s Update Failed - Backup Issue

    Hi there,
I decided to update my iPhone 4s today to the 6.1.3 update, but I got an error saying that there was some kind of issure and my iPhone was in DFU mode. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it seem to of sorted it out but it was syncing whilst I was trying to set it up through the phone, which created 2 new backups. The phone has set itself up now with my old apps but nothing else is on the phone AND I can't seem to update from my previous backups I did before I did the iOS update. They have been overridden as I have checked the MobileSync folder. I did my intital backups before the iOS update at around 12PM and the only 3 updates in the folder are; 1:20PM (1.3GB), 1:27PM (7.07MB) and 1:42PM (7.07MB).
It's not allowing me to pick the 1:20PM backup which I'm guessing has most of my data in so how can I get around this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

    Update to this.
I've tried to use a backup extractor and the backup is corrupt. Luckily I've still got all my photos and videos as I back them up regularly but I've lost all my contacts, texts, user data etc.
This wouldn't be the first time this has happened to me or other people and I know that's no ones fault here but I hope Apple has a team that scouts these forums regularly to take note of issues. The update process needs to be more fail-safe and people need to be aware on backup overwriting and so on. These phones and devices aren't cheap and I know they make a good amount of profit off them so they could inject a bit of that in to changing this daunting and unavoidable process.

  • Error -50 + HDD issues [Solved]

    Hello!
I want to share some issues that I've had with my Macbook pro, which I've now solved, and I hope it can help others experiencing the same issue. Alright, first an overview of my problem (you can read the summary at the end of the text to skip the details):
    Problem History:
I have a Macbook pro medio 2009 15", 2,53 gb HDD. My Macbook worked just fine until about 4 months ago. While working on my mac, suddenly I could'nt delete or download any files and an "error: -50" showed up. Then, I rebooted my mac and several things happened. In the first 5 or so reboots I could log into my account but the -50 error was still there - meaning I couldn't use "finder" properly and basically no applications. Then, after a while, my mac couldn't start up - it showed only a white screen loading and never moved on. So, I put the mac into recovery mode, which worked after several times and diagnosed my harddisk drive and the diagnosis showed a normal functioning harddisk. I wasn't able to run a hardware test for unclear reasons. After several tries, I installed Mountain Lion OSX (had Lion before) through the harddisk recovery mode and my mac worked fine - until 9-10 hours later where the same issues mentioned above arose anew. Now, I did not have any access to my mac at all - besides the harddisk repair mode (Don't remember the exact name of it), which was usel
    Now here's what I did:
1: I bought a new Harddisk drive and replaced it - that didn't work out!
2: I bought an external harddisk drive connector. Meaning, my internal harddisk worked as an external harddrive and I ran my OS through USB. I booted my mac holding "option" until it showed the harddrive. And it worked! - Although my mac became slower.
3: Even though my mac worked fine now - it was annoying having to carry an external drive all the time and holding the option button every time etc. etc. So, I figured that the problem is either with the logic board or the harddisk connecting cable. The logic board is the last thing one must rule out - because if it is faulty - you're kind of screwed. So, I went ahead and ordered a connecting cable (approximately 60$). The cable was faulty and didn't work! I returned it and got a new one instead (same company and same quality) - and now my mac is working again!!!
    Summary:
    1. Had error -50 and harddrive issues; couldn't delete, download or even use any apps or files.
    2. Mac wouldn't start up.
    3. Tried disk repair + fresh OSX install. Did'nt work
    4. Replaced harddisk - didn't work.
    5. Replaced Harddisk connecting cable: PROBLEM SOLVED!
    A piece of advice:
If you have any problems, then try to test one thing at a time. Run a hardware test from apple or other sources. Have an expert checking your mac - it might cost a little but it's worth it if you find out what the problem is. Buy quality parts for your mac if you have the money (I bought a cheap connecting cable :/ ).
And lastly: I hope this was helpful to other mac users!
    Have a great day/evening/night!
    - MS

THANK YOU. Saved me a few hours, this did.
This is stil not fixed in the latest iTunes, MobileSync, or iOS 6. Whichever piece has the problem is still badly broken, and in this age of 64 GB flash drives in MacBook Air models, surely we're not the only two that have moved that monstrous folder out to an external drive....

  • IPhone Alarm Clock issue after iOS4.0 upgrade

    This is a strange one;
Upgraded to i0S4.0 couple of days ago, and since then the default alarm clock app has gone haywire. It has duplicated each of my alarms (I must've had about 9 in there fore various things) about 50 times.
If I try and delete them, they disappear but if I exit and then re-enter the app, they're all there again!
    Any suggestions?
    Cheers.

I'm having the same issue. I had 8 or 9 legitimate alarms set, as well, but now there are somewhere between 1500 and 2000 with a couple hundred duplicates of each one. The number of duplicates is growing, too, but I can't tell if the additions happen each time I sync the phone or each time the clock program is reloaded on the phone. I noticed this first on my 3G after upgrading it, and it is also happening on the iPhone 4 having all my data transferred from a backup made of the 3G running 4.0. I've also noticed that if I try to delete them from my phone, at some point the clock program becomes nearly unresponsive causing even other programs than the clock to crash and requiring the phone to be resynced.
I've seen a couple of people mentioning similar issues in other threads that sound like they could be related or even the same, and they are always talking about upgrades on the same phone. There doesn't seem to be anyone affected who transferred directly from a 3.x device to a new 4.0 device.
While not a solution, here's at least my suggestion of why it's happening. I've poked around a bit in the backup files stored on my laptop from this phone (under ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync), and I've found two different plist files in the same backup storing the alarms in two slightly different formats.
This is purely conjecture, but I would guess what happened is the location & format between 3.x and 4.0 of where the alarm data is stored changed. The "upgrade" isn't a complicated process that mulls over and handles situations like this during the install. It's just a wholesale firmware replacement. Any changes like this would probably need to be handled by the actual programs themselves when they're running on the phone. Something in the upgrade process that's supposed to translate the old format to the new format is broken leaving behind the old data instead of removing it after the conversion, and every so often some trigger in the clock program (like a check for new data after a sync or just the initial loading when the phone restarts) is causing it to see that old 3.1 style data still there, redo the conversion process, and reimport what it finds as another set of duplicates.
That's only a guess, though, and as it's a one-way backup-only folder I can't edit them and resync to see if cutting them out of the data files on the laptop will remove them from the phone. Even if this is wrong, though, I can't imagine how it could be anything too far different from this. That would be a very simple bug to introduce into the code that would be specialized enough to be easy to overlook in testing. Again, that's all just a guess.
While I'm making wild speculations: I'm guessing the problem with the phone needing to be resynced when deleting several alarms is from one of these files on the phone storing the alarm data getting corrupted. If I was a betting man, I'd say this is likely due to corruption making the XML of the plist malformed from different threads writing changes to it simultaneously because it's so huge from all these entries and seeking through the file to update it is taking longer than anyone would reasonably expect and test for or program to protect against. Because, honestly, who thinks while coding something like this, "I need to make sure the user is safe when editing 2000 alarms..."

  • IPhone dying / backup issues

    Hi there,
I've had some problems with my iPhone lately. It just goes completely dead several times a day and doesn't respond to anything anymore. I'm able to get it going with pressing both the buttons for a while and it starts up again.
I'm wondering whether this could be a software issue. Does anyone know whether it could be?I would like to restore the phone to try. Otherwise I'll return it since I'm just under the guarantee period. But it'll be gone for about 6 weeks which will be **** so I really prefer to fix it myself if its possible.
My problem is now that I want a reliable backup before I do either one. I planned to just copy the backup that iTunes makes, but the strange thing is that the place where it should be stored (~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/) does not exist. There is no MobileSync folder in my Application Support. I'm a bit anxious to do the restore now.
Anyone any suggestions? Where my backup might be? Can I trust it if I cannot even find it? Should I just send the phone back because this does not look like a software issue?
    Thanks a lot!

  • New DVR Issues (First Run, Channel Switching, etc.)

I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to find answers through the search with no luck, so sorry if I missed something.
I recently switched to FIOS from RCN cable in New York.  I've gone through trying to setup my DVR and am running into issues and was hoping for some answers.
    1.  I setup two programs to record at 8PM, I was watching another channel at the time and only half paying attention.  Around 8:02 I noticed a message had popped up asking if I would like to switch channels to start recording.  I was expecting it to force it to switch like my old DVR, but in this case it didn't switch and I missed the first two minutes of one of the shows.  I typically leave my DVR on all day and just turn off the TV, this dual show handling will cause issues with that if I forget to turn off the DVR.  Is there a setting I can change that will force the DVR to choose one of the recording channels?
    2.  I setup all my recordings for "First Run" because I only want to see the new episodes.  One show I setup was The Daily Show on comedy central, which is shown weeknights at 11pm and repeated 3-4 times throughout the day.  My scheduled recordings is showing all these as planned recordings even though only the 11pm show is really "new".  Most of the shows I've setup are once a week so they aren't a problem, but this seems like it will quickly fill my DVR.  Any fixes?
    Thanks for the help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I came from RCN about a year ago.  Fios is different in several ways, not all of them desirable.  Here are several ways to get--and fix--unwanted recordings from a series recording setup.
    Some general principles.
Saving changes.  When you originally create a series with options, or if you go back to edit the options for an existing series, You MUST save the Series Options changes.  Pretty much everywhere else in the user interface, when you change an option, the change takes effect immediately--but not in Series Options.  Look at the Series Options window.  Look at the far right side.  There is a vertical "Save" bar, which you must navigate to and click OK on to actually save your changes.  Exiting the Series Options window without having first saved your changes loses all your attempted changes--immediately.
Default Series Options.  This is accessed  from [Menu]--DVR--Settings--Default Series Options.  This will bring up the series options that will automatically be applied to the creation of a NEW series. The options for every previously created series will not be affected by a subsequent modification of the Default Series Options.  You should set these options to the way you would like them to be for the majority of series recordings that you are likely to create.  Be sure to SAVE your changes.  This is what you will get when you select "Create Series Recording" from the Guide.  When creating a new series recording where you think that you may want options different from the default, select "Create Series with Options" instead.  Series Options can always be changed for any individual series set up later--but not for all series at once.
Non-series recordings.  With Fios you have no directly available options for these.  With RCN and most other DVRs, you can change the start and end times for individual episodes, including individual episodes that are also in a series.  With Fios, your workarounds are to create a series with options for a single program, then delete the series later;  change the series options if the program is already in a series, then undo the changes you made to the series options later; or schedule recordings of the preceding and/or following shows as needed.
And now, to the unwanted repeats.
First, make sure your series options for the specific series in question--and not just the series default options--include "First Run Only".  If not, fix that and SAVE.  Then check you results by viewing the current options using the Series Manager app under the DVR menu.
Second, and most annoying, the Guide can have repeat programs on your channel tagged as "New".  It happens.  Set the series option "Air Time" to "Selected Time".  To make this work correctly, you must have set up the original series recording after selecting the program in the Guide at the exact time of a first run showing (11pm, in your case), and not on a repeat entry in the Guide.  Then, even it The Daily Show is tagged as New for repeat showings, these will be ignored.
Third, another channel may air reruns of the program in your series recording, and the first showing of a rerun episode on the other channel may be tagged as "New".  These can be ignored in your series if you set the series option "Channel" to "Selected Channel".  Related to this, if there is both an SD and HD channel broadcasting you series program, you will record them both if the series option "Duplicates" is set to "Yes".  However, when the Channel option is set to "Selected Channel", the Duplicates Option is always effectively "No", regardless of what shows up on the options screen.
As for you missing two minutes,  I have sereral instances in which two programs start recording at the same time.  To the best of my recollection, whenever the warning message has appeared, ignoring it has not caused a loss of recording time.  You might have an older software version.  Newest is v.1.8.  Look at Menu--Settings--System Info.  Or, I might not have noticed the loss of minutes.  I regularly see up to a minute of previous programming at the start of a recording, or a few missing seconds at the beginning or end of a recording.  There are a lot of possibilities for that, but the DVR clock being incorrect is not one of them.  With RCN, the DVR clocks occasionally drifted off by as much as a minute and a half.

Employee leaving date is 14.04.2010. system is picking pension amout as 541. Last year it was coming right.
    Please suggest.

    Dear Jayanti,
We required prorata basis pension in case of left employees and system is not doing this. This is the issue. As per our PF experts Pension amount should come on prorata basis for left employees in case they left mid of month.System is doing prorata basis last year but from this year it is deducting 541. I am giving two RT cases of different years.

  • Open PO Analysis - BW report issue

    Hello Friends
I constructed a query in BW in order to show Open Purchase Orders. We have custom DSO populated with standard
datasource 2lis_02_itm (Purcahse Order Item). In this DSO we mapped the field ELIKZ to the infoobject 0COMP_DEL
    (Delivery completed).
We loaded the data from ECC system for all POs and found the following issue for Stock Transport Purchase orders (DocType = UB).
We have a PO with 4 line items. For line items 10 and 20, Goods issued, Goods received and both the flags "Delivery
complete" and "Final delivery" checked. For line items 30 and 40, only delivery indicator note is issued for zero
quantity and Delivery complete flag is checked (Final delivery flag is not checked) in ECC system. For this PO, the
delivery completion indicator is not properly updated in the DSO for line items 30 and 40. The data looks like the
    following:
    DOC_NUM     DOC_ITEM       DOCTYPE     COMP_DEL
    650000001       10     UB        X
    650000001       20     UB        X
    650000001       30     UB
    650000001       40     UB
When we run the Open PO analysis report on BW side this PO is appearing in the report but the same is closed in ECC
    system.
Any help is appreciated in this regard.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Priya and Reddy
       Thanks for your response.
Yes the indicator is checked in EKPO table for items 30 and 40 and delta is running regularly for more than 1 year and no issues with other POs. This is happening only for few POs of type Stock Transport (UB).
I already checked the changes in ME23N and the Delivery completed indicator was changed and it reflected in EKPO table. Further, i checked the PSA records for this PO and i am getting the records with the Delivery completed flag but when i update from PSA to DSO the delivery completed indicator is not updating properly.
In PSA, for item 30 i have the following entries. Record number 42 is capturing the value X for ELIKZ but after that i am getting two more records 43 and 44 with process key 10 and without X for ELIKZ. I think this is causing the problem.
Record No.    Doc.No.                    Item              Processkey         Rocancel     Elikz
        41               6500000001            30                    11                            X           ---
        42               6500000001            30                    11                            ---           X
        43               6500000001            30                    10                            X           ---
        44               6500000001            30                    10                            ---         ---
    (Here --- means blank)
    Thanks and Regards
