Mountain lion upload pdf

I can't upload pdf's after I installed mountain lion.  It really messed me up.  All three of my macs.  I have to upload into the court system daily.  Help!!!

All pdf's are a lighter shade so I can't click on them to upload into www.ecf.cacb.uscourts.gov.  It worked before the mountain lion upgrade.  Previously it didn't work on google chrome before the upgrade either.  I tried the privacy settings... and have been searching all day on the internet for an answer

  • Problem Mountain lion, Pages PDF and Quartz filters

    Hello,
With some PDF file created with Pages (iWork 4.2) in Moutain Lion, Quartz Filter don't work.
    Example :
    - Create a new doc with template "Personnal News" ("Nouvelles Personnelles in french) in "Newsletter"
    - Print dialog, "PDF" button "Open PDF with Preview"
    - In Preview, export in PDF with filter "Gray Tone"
--> Problem : The PDF created is not in "Gray tone" but in color
--> Same problems with others Quartz Filter, they do anything
    - With template "School" ("Lycée" in French) --> Final PDF is a mix of color and gray tone !
    - With template "Extrems Sports" (Sports Extremes in french) --> No problem, quartz filters works
If i create the PDF with page export and use "Preview" (or Color Sync utility"), Do a PDF export with  a Quartz filters.
    --> same problem
No problem with same manipulations before Mountain Lion (in Lion, ...). I think it's a Moutain Lion bug but it's very strange!
    Has anyone noted this bug?
Is anyone know a solution to this pb?
    Thanks
    Note :
    - I have the problem with a simple update of Lion in Moutain Lion and after a clean install of Moutain Lion.
    - I have a boot disk with 10.5 Leopard and if i open the pdf file with Preview, the PDF file exported with quartz filter is ok.

I think it's a Moutain Lion bug, i hope it will be fixed in the next update of Moutain Lion...
But, i have found a workaround for this issue.
With a PDF file with this problem :
    - Open the PDF with "Preview"
    - Print, button "PDF", "Save to PostScript Format"
    - Open the PS file with "Preview" --> Conversion to format PDF
    - Save the PDF file
    - Reopen this PDF file with Preview
--> Export can be do with Quartz filter (sometime with filter "Gray Tone", Preview crach, but with filter "Reduce File size", no problem
--> If a use "PDF Clerk Pro" to export this PDF with quartz filter, all filters work.

    1. Do a backup
    2. Open App Store > Purchases, download Mountain Lion and install it under Mountain Lion

  • Mountain Lion upload after restoring factory setting to Mac book pro.

I have just cleaned up my Macbook Pro by restoring it to Factory settings but now I want to download all my bought and paid for apps to my now cleaned laptop.  How do I go about this.  Mountain Lion for instance does not seem to have installed with the software upgrade.
Where do I go to sort this?  I have tried to view my purchases in apple store but nothing comes up.
Look forward to some guidance.  Thank you.

Thanks jeanphicrosoft, but unfortunately although the purchase of the upgrade to mountain lion shows up there is now where for me to click to download it again and when i go to the App store it doesn't say that I have already installed it and therefore shows that I would have to pay for it again.
Is there anyway I can contact the App store?

  • Does Mountain Lion Have PDF Editing Features?

I need to fill out documents and forms that I download or scan into my computer as PDFs. Does OS X have this capability or is there some plug-in, freeware. or low cost PDF editor that would fit the bill?

For those tasks that are too complicated for Preview, I use PDFPen.  Here's their website:
    http://www.smilesoftware.com/PDFpen/index.html
As you can see there, they have a free trial available.  (As I recall, the free trial is functional, but just prints their logo if you print output.)
I have no financial interest in PDFPen.  I am a satisfied customer of theirs.

  • Mountain Lion Versus Adobe Acobat

How does Mountain Lion handle PDF documents versus Abobe Acrobat?

I do enjoy Preview very much and its usefulness and integration with iCloud very much.  And while Preview has the ability to open and view pdfs and make very basic annotations; I am going to have  to say this: (and this is leaning more to be true than my opinion); a person still needs to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Unfortornate but true.  Most people will either have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 9.5.x or Adobe Acrobat Reader version 10.1.x or what ever the latest version is out this week - installed on a person's OS X computer, is. It also depends if the person has upped the version from version 9 to 10. Some people do not know version 10 is available. Also both versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader do not show up in Apple's Activity Monitor as being either 64 bit or 32 bit... so I am not sure if the application is still running at 32 bit, while Apple's Preview application does show up as being 64 bit in Apple's Activity Monitor. (What is up with that?)
There is also huge benefit and advantage in owning Adobe Professional Accrobat, however Adobe Professional Accrobat it is ridicioucly overpriced, and only marginally better from version to version. Not to mention Adobe Acrobat Professional is not located on the Mac App Store; (neither is Adobe Acrobat Reader for that matter).
While the professional program has gotten marginally better with more frills while eliminating packaging costs, shiping costs, merchant costs, return costs, etc the savings is not caryied over to the consumer. Instead it has only increased, which is ridiculous since companies are saving alot more now than before. Especially since everything is going by means of a download from either one's own digital store or another compay's digital store. The cost to the consumers has increased (even though companies use to sell their products at multiple stores and at multiple outlets.  This is the very thing companies like Adobe, and Microsoft just do not understand, and as a result their loosing a share of their market because they are not giving better customer service, by making their products less costly to the consumer and not having their products available at various exchanges or markets. Before the consumer got good service from the brick and mortar sales associates. But it is going to more of a ideology that they do not need the middle man. Unfortnatelly the middle man is always needed, just now it is in a different way - having software available at various digital stores is not only a convience to customers but acts as a sort of middle man.
While Apple's customer service has grown because of their online digital store and is always getting better because of their online store, Adobe's ability to connect with customers, and give better deserving service to their customer has shrunk because Adobe wants their product sold only at their own store, and not at other exchanges, other digital stores, or other outlets, let alone the consumer's do not have that convience any more.
As for handeling pdf documents, it really comes down to Adobe (its their own product) and how well they cooperate with Apple.

  • Updated my server to OS X Mountain Lion - and now I can't open pdf files, that my users share on wiki.

    Hi!
I've updated my mac mini lion server to mountain lion server. I have an exentsive use of wiki in my education environment. Everything looks great, except, when uploading an PDF file to the wiki document folder I can no longer download the file - I can preview the file on the wiki page, but I can no longer download the file to my iPad / iBook.
Come on Apple - you did not remove that feature!!!!
Oh - the same problem comes to pages documents etc.
What to do - my students starts monday - do I need to role-back my server?
    Kind regards,
    Martin Rise Christensen

The problem is not in the Wiki itself but in the frontend version that gets displayed when you browse it from an ipad.
The webpage looks different on the ipad because of that. If you use another browser on the ipad and you get the "default" frontend you can upload just fine.
You can also disable this ipad version alltogether but you have to go in modify the code to do it. This will display the "default" frontend for every device.

i have to upload video from my hewlett packard t200 camcorder to my mac. but mac won't recognize the camcorder files. i even bought flip4mac by tele stream which so far is useless. please help me use my camcorder with my iMac os mountain lion 10.8.2
i tried to get the installation disc for the camcorder but mac wont' recognize it becaue it is windows based i guess.
i just bought the camcorder a few months ago and when my computer crashed thought i'm finally getting a mac...it's been a costly venture which has resulted in more frustration than before my pc.
now the things i want to use with my mac that i thought would be even simpler...are not even useable...
    help

That camera shoots H.264 in an .avi wrapper.
You will have to transfer the files via the Finder.
Get a free copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert them to QuickTime .mov using the H.264 codec if you are presumably editing in iMovie.
Note that your list of video codecs won't look like mine as I have Final Cut Pro, but H.264 is definitely an option for you.

  • PDF exported from Pages (mountain lion) results in jagged font not smooth

    I am using Mac air mid-2012 + Mountain Lion (OS X 10.9.4) + Pages (5.2)
I used Arial - Regular - font 12 pt to write a resume. After I export to PDF the font on pdf looks anti-aliased, jagged not smooth on 100% scale. The font in Pages is ok.
I export the same file to *.doc and opened it with OpenOffice and export to PDF using OpenOffice, the font looks no problem.
I have the option "Use LCD font smoothing when available" option checked in system preferences.
Does anyone have the same issue?

This is a known issue in Pages 5's tables. Pages 5 has been out for 9 months now and there is no sign of Apple fixing the issue.
Use Pages '09 if you have it.

  • After Mountain Lion upgrade iMovie crashes when uploading movie to You Tube

I also found upgrading to Mountain Lion slowed my mid2009 MacBook Pro 13" down. I just upgraded my memory from 2 to 8GB and it is running much better. One glitch I'm having since the upgrade is when I try to upload a movie from iMovie the program crashes. Any ideas about that? The movie I am trying to upload is 15 seconds, and the smallest size (for mobile devices).
    Thanks for any help.

…considering the same problem existed after a 100% clean OS…
After a clean install of the OS, I would definitely and without exception run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. Always.
When buying a new machine the first two things I always do are (1) wipe the drive clean and write it to zeros, and (2) Repair Permissions right after installing a fresh OS on it as well as after any immediate update of said OS.  If the update does not happen immediately after the new installation of the OS, I would definitely Repair Permissions again before the update too, then immediately afterwards.
On the other hand, if by "ML" you are referencing Mountain Poop, then all bets are off, of course.
Maybe Apple will get it that OS right by version 10.8.6.  They never seem to get a new OS right before the dot-six release, that's why Lion never had a chance to mature.
(I thought I had already posted this message earlier, but inexplicably, it's not here.  I hope it was not removed because of my deservedly derogatory reference to the latest Apple Mac OS.)
