Mouseover text

Please. Could somebody point me in right direction?
Web page has text in English and in Foreign languages.
If customer place mouse over word in English, this word and the corresponding word in Foreign language should change color. It is not difficult if it is short text and I use textbox for each word.
<asp:TextBox
ID="E1"
runat="server"
Text="I "
onmouseover="do something;"
></asp:TextBox>
<asp:TextBox
ID="E2"
runat="server"
Text="am "
onmouseover="do something;"
></asp:TextBox>
<asp:TextBox
ID="E3"
runat="server"
Text="Sam"
onmouseover="do something;"
></asp:TextBox>
<asp:TextBox
ID="F1"
runat="server"
Text="Foreign I "
onmouseover="do something;"
></asp:TextBox>
<asp:TextBox
ID="F2"
runat="server"
Text=" Foreign am "
onmouseover="do something;"
></asp:TextBox>
<asp:TextBox
ID="F3"
runat="server"
Text="Foreign Sam"
onmouseover="do something;"
></asp:TextBox>
I will add parameter to
"do something;" and will change color.
But if text long  I cannot place few hundreds textboxes on the page.
How to achieve this if text is long?
Thank you for any advice.
Oak

chanm,
Thank you for answering.
My problem is that  corresponding word in Foreign language should change color
How can I do this?
It is easy with textbox or label or literal. How to with long text if not only word but also corresponding word on foreign language should change color.
Example:
I am Sam                Foreign-I   Foreign-am    Foreign-Sam
I am Sam
Foreign-I   Foreign-am    Foreign-Sam
Thank you.

  • Change or remove hyperlinked button mouseover text

    I am trying to find a way to remove or change the mouseover text for button hyperlinks. The form is located at http://www.etsu.edu/finaid/Forms/staffordlenderselection0708.pdf . The hyperlink buttons are located at the end of each bullet point. They have been configured to appear as ordinary hyperlinked text. I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding this issue. Thanks.

    Joel, I have used a workaround method in Designer 7.1.2 to remove the mouseover text. In your case, complete your sentence by adding the word Online to your sentence. Underline and change the color as needed. On the button, remove the caption, and place the button overtop your word. Under the Accessibility tab, change the Screen Reader Preference to None. I don't know if this will work in 8+.

  • Problem with bar cfchart, yaxistitle distorts mouseover text

    I am having a problem with cfchart bar charts, have searched but not found a solution. If I specify any value for yaxistitle, it distorts the text that appears when you mouseover. If I don't specify yaxistitle, the text in the mouseover "bubble" looks fine. But if I specify *anything* for yaxistitle, it does not.
    Here are a couple of  snips that show the problem. This one has yaxistitle="US$ million" in the cfchart tag
    This one did not have anything for the yaxistitle parameter.
    The clients would prefer, and I agree with them, to have "Private Sector" left aligned, above the yaxistitle value and data value. I experimented with the default.xml style file, to no avail.
    Suggestions welcome!

    I've only encountered two instances where the PUT operation failed on certain files. One, the server does not like the particular file type, and two, when the file was open in another program.
    Other than that, I could only guess that it may have something else to do with the web server configuration and not DW.

  • Mouseover text image/caption display

    One of my favorite web sites uses a very effective technique
    that links floating boxed captions (sample below) or thumbnails to
    selected text, usually id'd by dotted underlines, on mouseover. Any
    ideas on sourcing an extension?
    thanks

    Do a search around for Tooltip or tool tip - that should find
    it.

  • Mouseover text box only briefly appears when mousing over a link.

    When I put the cursor over a link to view the mouseover box, the mouseover box will only briefly show up and disappear (a fraction of a second). Reinstalling Firefox didn't help.

  • Remove the mouseover filename from a PDF document

    I'm trying to generate a PDF using Adobe Acrobat X Pro through the Word 2007 interface.  When I generate my PDF and mouseover an image, the mouseover text displays the filename of the image file (ie mouseover text="ImageFilename.png").  Additionally, some of these aren't even correct (the image filename is actually a previous revision of the image file and not the current file).  I would like to know:
    -What data does Acrobat poll to get these filenames.  I know it isn't the actual filename since some are incorrect, so it must be some data contained in the word document itself?
    -How can I remove this function altogether?  There is no significance to the image filenames and I'd rather not have to ensure they all match the document text.
    I have searched this and other forums but can't find instructions on how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}

    I'm not aware of anyway to automatically remove them from the pdf file. You can manually remove each of them but it's always better to treat the source file than to treat the PDF file for changes.
    To keep from seeing them without having to remove them all in Word, just use the "print method" to create the PDF file. Print to the Adobe PDF printer rather than using the Save as Adobe PDF feature.

  • How do you add alternate text to a child tag?

    I have a link that I've added alternative text to but it does not show when I mouse over it. Any help appreciated.

    Greetings,
    Are you displaying the document in Acrobat, a browser, or some form of assistive technology? Alt text is used by assistive technology. For example a screen reader will speak the alt text instead of whatever it is set as an alternative to. It isn't mouseover text. To the best of my knowledge Acrobat provides no easy way of setting mouseover text when the document is viewed in Acrobat or a web browser - someone please correct me if there is a way to do this.
    Hope this helps.

  • [SOLVED]Xorg issues

    I just re-installed Arch, because in the process of removing the Debian install last night, GParted screwed up with my drive numbers which started giving me different GRUB errors every time I tried to boot.
    Good thing I had a backup for my home drive.
    1)So after installation, I tried using the xorg.conf that I had backed up, but if I do this my openbox session starts up but I cannot use my mouse or my keyboard. This is probably because of hal messing it up. I checked if hal was installed and running and I have even added it to my DAEMONS array. I also have the xf86-input-evdev and xf86-input-synaptics installed. Still no love !
    If i try to manually start hal in the terminal, it always FAILS.
    2) Also I am currently using the vesa drivers and if I use a xorg.conf generated by nvidia-xconfig, I simply cannot get X to start. I get errors (I will post the errors after changing over to that xorg.conf file and pasting the relevant section from /var/log/Xorg.0.log) This is my current xorg(generated by hwd -xa)

    Thanks skottish. All previously mentioned issues resolved. Now for a new one
    I have installed a GTK theme from box-look.org and every time i start a GTK app I get these errors:

  • DW-MX-04 Drop-down menus won't work.

    I'm using Dreamweaver MX 2004 (have been for several years, so I know my way around it).  I want to create drop-down or fly-outs menu's to consolidate page links into categores in order to reduce the number of link tabs I have on each page.  I've been able to create the menu's I needed (using: Tag Chooser\ Behaviors\ Show Pop-U Menu), but when I preview the pages in IE, the text only shows on the mouseover text (not on top) despite having the text color set as black in the Menu window.  But it gets worse.  When I uploaded the page to try it, the drop down menus don't show up at all when I hover over the main buttons and  I get javascript errors.
    Can anyone give me so assistance on how to resolve this?
    I've checked the text color issue using the code view editing pane, and it matches the way I have it setup in the Pop-Up Menu.  But that's the least of my worries if I can't get them to work at all when the pages are live.
    Thanks...JEB

    MX2004 software is also somewhat antiquated and no longer supported by Adobe.   So it shouldn't surprise you that the tools from nearly a decade ago are obsolete today.  The web itself has changed significantly since 2004!
    Web standards have moved from HTML3 to HTML5.  Layouts have departed from old school nested tables to more efficient CSS.  Unlike a decade ago, today's web devices include everything from hand held smartphones & tablets to laptops, desktops and TV displays.  So it's not possible to stand still and keep pace with the evolving web.  If you're not moving forward, you're falling behind.
    CSS is not an extension.  HTML = content.  CSS = Cascading Style Sheets.  CSS is used to style your content.    With CSS you can make an ordinary list look like a very cool menu with buttons, borders, shadows, drop-down and rollover effects.  If you master CSS, you can do some very creative things with it.  However, coding skills are essential.
    Below is an example of an unordered list styled with CSS to make a nice horizontal drop-menu.
    http://alt-web.com/DEMOS/CSS-Multi-colored-drop-menu.shtml
    To further illustrate the efficiency and power of CSS, look at CSS Zen Garden.
    http://www.csszengarden.com/
    Every page on the right panel contains exactly the same HTML code as the first.  The only difference is the CSS code.
    The shift to CSS is intended to help web designers keep styles separate from content. Learning to work with CSS will make a you better web designer and save countless hours of tedious re-coding when you decide to change the look of your site.  It's much easier to edit one file instead of many.

    Hello,
    this is not a java 3d related topic but more a java script related one.
    Anyway: Your code tries to initialise an object (variable "eye") which is obviously not defined. I guess that's because the file "spinmenu.js" is missing.
    As you can see in this line:<script type="text/javascript" src="spinmenu.js"></script>the page links to an external script file.
    Is this file located within the same directory like the HTML-Page?
    Regards,
    Oliver

  • AR8 doesn't implement the unix-style copy&paste

    Hi,
    I can't say if earlier Acrobat Reader versions did it, we just stepped on AR8 not doing this: If you mark text with the left mouse key in any application in any Unix I know, this text is copied to some clipboard and can be inserted in any other window with the middle mouse key.
    Even Programs like Opera/Firefox/Thunderbird/Openoffice do this.
    AR8 doesn't, unfortunately. Is there a setting to activate this? I didn't find one...
    If there isn't, please add this feature to the next release! This is really a "must have" in Unix :-)
    cu,
    Frank

    So with Fedora 8 the following seems to the pattern.
    Open pdf file.
    Mouseover line of text.
    Middle click in blank document, get mouseover text.
    Mouseover a second line of text.
    Middle click in blank document, get first line of text.
    Highlight a third line of test.
    Uee edit menu to copy
    Paste into blank document, get third line of text.
    Highlight a fourth line of test.
    Uee edit menu to copy
    Paste into blank document, get first line of text.
    First line of text ever after.

  • Why are my tooltips not showing?

    I've entered Tooltip text for all the fields in my form, expecting it to appear as mouseover text, but nothing is displaying. Googling for an answer just gives me a load of surely unnecessarily-complicated guff about having to create whole new fields of hidden text etc. to achieve the same result. I'm sure there has to be a way to make the tooltips display as hovertext though, because otherwise I can't work out what the point of tooltips would even be.  What am I missing? Thanks.

    Sorry, but the damned thing refuses to let me post a link or attach an image. If you parse the text above, it should take you to a screenshot though.

  • How to hide the cover page when printing ?

    Dear all,
    I would like to change printings option for the report S_ALR_87013611.
    I would like to hide the cover page (with parameter) when printing.
    How can I do that ?
    Thanks for your help
    Best regards

    Hi,
    Do you mean the part of the report, which contains the report name, selection date, controlling area,
    Fiscal year, and other selection data?
    If yes, then you could proceed as follows: As the 1SIP-001 (S_ALR_87013611) is a standard report, please copy this report with name in the customer naming range and then delete the title page from the copied report as follows:
    1.  Call GRR2, in the library 1VK place the cursor on report 1SIP-001 and click on the icon 'Copy'
    2.  In the 'To report' field enter (for example) ZSIP-001 and press  'Enter'
    3.  Now double-click on ZSIP-001 to enter the report definition.
    4.  Under 'Extras' -> 'Report texts' -> 'Title page' call the title page.
    5.  Choose 'Text' -> 'Delete' and the title page lines are removed.
    6.  Click on the 'Save' icon to save this.
    7.  Assign the report to a new report group by choosing 'Environment'
       -> 'Assign report group' from the menu and enter ZSIP in the popup,
       confirming the next popup that the report group should be created.
    Now call txn GR55 and execute report group ZSIP with your selection
    criteria and follow the steps to print the report:
    - click 'printer icon' - mouseover text 'Print (ctrl+P)'
    - click OK with dot in 'current report'
    - click OK with dot in 'Print formatted report (page length 59)
    - on print parameter screen in menu, blank the 'SAP cover page' field.
    Regards,
    Greta
