Move back and forward through Quiz questions...

Hello,
I need to be able to let individuals move back and forward through quiz questions after they have answered them without the need to re-answer the question.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could do this in Captivate 6.

I should have been a bit more specific and provided an example...
Question 1 and 2 are answered correctly and feedback box is shown each time - they then get stuck on question 3 so need to use the back button to go back through past the answered questions to the main information screens to find the answer and then need to use the forward navigation button to move back to the third question this will result in them moving through question 1 and 2 however we do not want them to answer these again.
The individual must answer every question correctly to pass the course.

No, but you can always use the library search option to widdle down the number of items displayed. It'd be a good feature request as I find myself hopping between specific movieclip depths on common clips often. Sort of like a clip/depth bookmark.

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
I am starting to believe that Apple is Satan.

Skipping back- and forward through random Playlist

Hi,
when I skip back to the previous song in a random playing playlist, I don't get the previous song but a random one. My IPod touch plays the previous song as expected (OS 2.x).
I miss this feature, 'cause I used it to hear unrated songs. Then, after hearing 5 to 10 songs, I skipped back and rated the songs. Afterwards I skipped forward and continued hearing the next unrated song.
Is it somehow possible to do this with the IPhone too? Scoring the songs just in time when you hear them, is very uncomfortable.

IPod-Touch (OS 2.2):
Playing a playlist with shuffle mode on. Pressing "Skip Back" -> you hear the previous heared song. You can repeat this as often as you want.
IPhone 3G S:
Playing a playlist with shuffle mode on. Pressing "Skip Back" -> you hear a random song (and that ist bu&%§*T).
I prefer the IPod behaviour. So I can hear 10 songs in shuffle mode, then I skip backwards through this songs and rate them. Finally I skip forward 10 times and I can continue hearing the next music block. The IPhone "Skip Back" is absolutely useless in shuffe mode!

Need back and forward functions for moves

I have a working tictactoe game with implemented back and forward moves buttons, but i don't have any idea how to create the two functions using linked lists. can anyone please suggest these functions and provide some code snippets?

It is the most annoying thing in the world to be surfing the web, press back then while trying to move around the page be forced forward because of this stupid swipe back and forward function. Is there some way to disable it or should I just burn my ipod?

I have to buttons that I cant remove. The button is on the left side of tabs and on the right side of the tabs. These arent back and forward buttons. When I go to customise they arent shown. How to remove it?

Those buttons are used to scroll through the tabs if you have too many to display. If all of the tabs that you have open are visible, the buttons should not be displayed. If they are displayed all of the time there may be a problem with the theme that you are using.

Firefox 8 and 9beta. Back and Forward buttons greyed out. Right click menu also has forward and back greyed out. Updated all plugins, then disabled all plugins and extensions and started in safe mode. No change.

How to use Preview.app 'Back' and 'Forward'

I often have to read PDF articles with endnotes in Preview, so I need to quickly switch from a footnote in the text to the end of the document. I would like to use the 'Back' and 'Forward' shortcuts to move between a point in the footnotes and back to my place in the main text.
But I can't figure out exactly how they work. For example. what defines the point you return to when you press 'forward' to the end of the text, and then 'back'? Do I have to click in the text, or remain in a particular part of the text for a certain amount of time before Preview sets that as a location to go back to (or forward from)?
I've considered using Skim for PDFs with endnotes, as it has a split view that lets you view two parts of a PDF simultaneously. But I much prefer Preview's UI.

Another solution would be to open two instances of Preview so you can read different pages of the docuemnt side by side.
However, this is a little more complicated. Once the document is open, you have to start Terminal and enter
"open -n "
and then drag the file from the Finder into the terminal window which will add the filename and its path.
The result should look like
"open -n /Users/xxx/Desktop/file.pdf"
then press return and you get a second instance of Preview.

My "refresh" button is on the very end of the RIGHT side of the tool bat while my "back and "forward" is still on the very left of the tool bar?

I just upgrade to firefox 4 There are a few issues but on my toolbar the refresh button now appears on the very left side of the tool bar.
My "back" and "forward" button are still where they always been -- on the left side. Is it possible to move the Refresh button over so that it is next to the back and forward button?
Also my cut, copy and paste are on the left __i can not move them either???

Right click your mouse over any tool on the toolbar. Then select 'customize' and a window will pop up with more buttons. While that window is open you can drag the existing buttons on your tool bar to any spot you want.

Safari 2.0.3 - Back and Forward buttons disappeared

The Back and Forward buttons that are normally found next to the address bar have vanished. If you move the mouse over their position and click they show and activate, but is just a blank space when mouse pointer is not there. Have tried reloading them from the toolbar preferences, but the icons dont appear there either, just the space where theyshould be.

Quit Safari, find the com.apple.Safari.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder, drag it to the Desktop, and log in/out or restart and let us know what happens.

Why is 'pg up/pg down' now moving the page back and forward, not scrolling like it used to?

I just updated to Firefox 4, and suddenly my 'pg up' and 'pg dn' are different. Instead of scrolling up and down like normal, they change the page to the previous page or go forward to the next.
This is really infuriating, because I use paging up and down all the time, and suddenly I don't have these functions any more. I don't want to be scrolling back and forward between web pages just by pressing one button - I can click the 'back' option at the top of the page easily enough if thats what I want.
I've had a look through the options, and searched through all the faqs, but I couldn't find anything relevant.
Please help - I want my scrolling back!

On Mac the scroll bars can be hidden and only have them show when you scroll the page so you can see the current scroll position.
The idea is that a touch pad is used that doesn't require the scroll bars to be visible and thus have more screen estate for the browsing area.
You can make the scroll bars always visible:
*System Preferences > General > Show Scroll Bar > Choose "Always"

Mobile wifi mouse back and forward functions don't work

I just bought the hp wifi mobile mouse model MOWFFKUL and back and forward functions don't work and it's driving me crazy. I bought it for these specific functions. At first I thought that it was a broken mouse. So I went and returned it, got back home, and the same thing. I set the side buttons to other functrion options and they work. What the hell??? just the back and forward buttons don't. I'm losing my mind big time because I REALLY NEED those buttons/functions to work!! All the regular top buttons functrion fine, it's only the back forward setting that DOESN't WORK.

I restarted my laptop, and the buttons worked! For only 2 minutes. Then nada ever again. What a POS. Come on HP, give a solution. I bought and returned it twice, which makes this my third wifi mouse. What a waste of my time. I think I'm just gonna return this mouse and forget the wifi mouse. Functionality is more important than a freed up USB port. I bought it for the forward/backward buttons specifically. HP used to make wonderful products, but this experience bring that into question now.

Hi. I also got the same problem but just learnt a way to resolve it. No need for 3rd party software.
If you don't care much about the Three finger drag gesture, and just want to swipe between pages in Finder and web browsers, please follow these:
System Preferences/Trackpad/More gestures/Swipe between pages/Scroll left or right with 2 fingers. This option works solely for web browsers.
In order to swipe between pages in Finder, web browsers and other apps as well,change the option to Swipe with two or three fingers. (3 for Finder and apps, 2 for web pages)
If you also want to use Three-finger drag to move windows and drag-select:
The problem occurs once you change to "Swipe with 2 or three fingers", Lion will automatically disable/uncheck the Three finger drag function in Trackpad/Point&Click. Or the other way around, you tick Three Finger drag, Swipe between pages automatically switches to Scroll with two fingers because these 2 functions are overlapped.
My solution is:
stick with initial option Scroll with two fingers for navigating between web pages.
Re-tick Three finger drag in Point&Click.
Use combination: Option+Swipe 4 fingers for Finder and other apps (although it functions reversely, Swiping left to go backward, swipe right to go forward)
My current gesture routine:
- Swipe between web pages: Scroll with two fingers.
- Swipe between pages in Finder and other apps: Combination Option+swipe 4 fingers
- Swipe between full-screen apps (desktops): Swipe left or right with 4 fingers
- Drag select and navigate windows: Three finger drag
- Mission Control - Swipe up with 4 fingers. (avoid conflict with three finger drag)
* You can actually use combination Option+Swipe 4 fingers for everything (apps, finder, web pages) but I personally prefer swipe 2 fingers for web browsing. It's just easier and quicker and avoid conflicts with other gestures.
