Moved hosting of email and now can't send or receive emails

did a search on the forum but can seem to find a solution to my problem.
so has any one ever had any problems with removing an email account (with estreet) and then adding a new account (with Dreamhost.com) to a blackberry?
it is the same email address but we moved the hosting last night.... vocapr.com
My client can't send or receive email but isn't getting an error message ... just nothing is happening. She can send and receive via Outlook and on my iphone.
we also did a hard reboot but it still won't send or receive emails.
Please advise.

Hi,
If your using BIS - Log into your BIS account and delete the email address and recreate it again - the email server details are pointing to the wrong email server.
If your using BES ,then the BES needs to get the correct Mail Server details - Delete the user form the BES and add them back, then reactivate the Handset.

Usually 'authentication required' means that you need to submit a username (or e-mail address) and password to the e-mail server, when sending a message. This logic is not different between Outlook and Thunderbird, and even with the latest and previous version of Thunderbird.
Of course you can try the previous version again to see if it solves the problem, although you'll be less secure because you would be missing the latest fixes.
If you'd be willing to get back to Thunderbird, say if your frustration level with your new app would increase too much, please see our article [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-send-messages cannot send messages] for further help.
In all other cases I'd appreciate it if you could mark this as answer so we know you don't need further help.

Then the bottom of the support document states that if you do not have access to the device (which unfortunately because of the screen issue you do not) to contact Apple Care. That is what you need to do.

My email account account(msn.com) was hacked so I changed my passwod at msn.com and then als0 changed it on myiPad under settings/mail.
Now I cannot send email or photos with email.
Suggestions? I only have an iPad as I am traveling.
I can send emails if I sign in through Safari.

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

All SMS / Texts dissappeared and now can't send or recieve!

I recently had an error while upgrading to my iPhone 5 to ios 6.1.3 and then all of my text messages (all 43,000+ of them over 5 years) are gone! I can't send any text messages and when a text does arrive all I can see is the name of the sender, the message body is blank. I have restored from backup and I have even done a complete restore from firmware and then from backup and still no messages. I am a physician that uses my phone daily to communiate with colleges and this is debilitating. When I search the web, it looks like I'm far from the only problem with this. How do I fix this?

Well - I've finally found out that because of ios 6's new SMS database structure, there is no way to recover ANYTHING on my phone from my backup (not just my SMS messages) since the backup also includes the corrupt SMS rendering it 100% useless. They gave me the choice of operating my phone with all my apps, settings, etc without the use of instant messaging (yeah --- that's an option???) or restoring a blank image of iOS6 and losing all data, apps, etc. and reinstalling one by one all of my apps, organizing, resetting, etc. - something that took over 30 hours when it happened 3 years ago when I had half of the apps and settings. So, because there was a glitch in the syncing - I have now lost all of my messages and in addition having to spend over 30+ hours reinstalling and reorganizing all of my apps. I'm a physician and I don't have the luxury of losing that much time again and there is too much valuable data in my messages that I thought was 'backed up'. And I found out that if I had not trusted Apple and upgraded to 6.1.3 in an attempt to fix this - that I could have had someone jailbreak this and get all of my information off here.
Whatever you did Apple to the new sms database in ios 6 - it *****. I know Apple couldn't give a #### about how this affects <1% of their users, but offering zero solutions (and the above are not 'solutions') to issues like this is how they permanatly lose customers (including me).

Opened a draft that had been saved, edited it, and now can neither send, nor delete, nor close that message. Mail program stuck there. Any idea how to get it "unstuck?"

In mail, on my iPad 2, I opened a draft message that had been saved. I edited it and want to send it. The Send and Cancel bottons are both grayed out. I can't send it, nor cancel it, nor get out of that message. Please help.

First I would select the contents of the message and copy it to the clipboard.
Click your Home button to get out of Mail. Then double-click the Home button. A row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen. Scroll across and look for the Mail icon. Press and hold on it until it starts to wiggle. A red minus sign will appear on each of the icons. Press the minus sign to remove Mail from the list. This should also un-hang it.
If successful, Mail should work normally, and you should be able to paste the clipboard to another new message.
If not successful, you can try resetting (rebooting) the iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.

Tried both 25 and 587 and still can't send or receive

I have tried changing to both 25, 465 and 587, and still can not use my mail app.
These were the 3 primary port suggestions I could find on this site and forum. Sorry if I missed any other easy ones.
Any suggestions? I have called support and gone to the store ("bar") and still no suggestion that works.
Any help would be appreciated.

Typically, of most of the users that are having issues with their Mail, can receive mail fine but sending is usually the issue. You will need to know the correct port that you need - usually 25 or 587. If you can surf the Web, you can do email.
You will need to check with your home ISP for the correct parameters, if you are at home. If you are at work, or elsewhere you will need to know those parameters in most cases if you want to send because more and more ISPs are blocking all SMTP servers other than their own. I know I do.
If you have Web access to your email, you can use that, and some IMAP mail providers will work about anywhere, but you still need to know the particulars. We block Dot Mac's IMAP to where I can receive email. but I have to plug in the local SMTP server to send anything, because of the local blocking. I don't have any problem with that as it's another layer of security.
There is nothing wrong with Mail 3.2 or Leopard, they are not flaky. The problems are setup and configuration issues - once you know the correct parameters and setup routines, it all works fine.
I have never had an issue of note with Mail or Leopard - I use my Dot Mac mail and Exchange mail, in our Active Directory Domain, at work. I also have a Road Runner POP account that I use as well.

I have latest software on iPhone 5 and Yosemite and an update on cloud, still no phone calls are displaying on my mac or txt msgs... am I missing a step? Can only users who also have iPhones with Facetime only contact me via my computer?

I had similar problems at the beginning. Bluetooth were switched on on both devices but the hands off was not working. Later I realized that iOS 8.1 was already released but my iPhone did not even notify me. Then I restored the iPhone connecting it to iTunes, installed iOS 8.1 and only after that bluetooth starting working properly and I could manage to pair both devices.
For text messages, try going to Messages --> Preferences --> Accounts --> iCloud account
You can be reached for messages at ... Add your cell phone number if it is not there already.
I could manage to receive the messages from my Mac with these settings. But still the messages are not syncing across devices but I am just receiving them from both devices. I delete a message from my iPhone in the morning and in the afternoon I re-receive it from my Mac. Interesting..

Migrating from Entourage and now can't send mail except from Mac account

I've just started using Mail after using Entourage for many years and I must say it's been a frustrating start (having separate applications for Mail, Address Book and Calendar is a pita so far). But most importantly I can't get Mail to allow me to send mail from any account other than from my .Mac account (no problems receiving mail). I'm using the same outgoing server settings as in Entourage but no joy - I get an error message saying it can't use the outgoing server. I have no problems with this in Entourage. For example, from Entourage I can send mail using my BT Internet account or my Bulldog Home account using the following outgoing mail server settings:
SMTP SERVER: mail.bulldoghome.com
ACCOUNT ID: [email protected]
PASSWORD: my email password
Also, how do I access my hotmail?

Ok here's another one. When I delete a mail retrieved from a non Mac mail account (eg my BT Internet account) and empty my Trash in Mail it does not delete the email off the (BT Internet) server. I have not checked "remove copy from server after retrieving a message" so that I can access the email from multiple locations. But when I do delete it I obviously want it removed from the server.
