Moved PC to another country - now cannot connect to iTunes store

Hi - I have a UK iTunes account and I have moved my PC to Switzerland. I tried to update my iTunes and iPod, yet now I cannot connect to the iTunes store.
Can anyone please help?

Ok here goes. I've taken out any serial number or IP address.

    This appears to be an Apple ID issue.  I was forced to change my username to my email (which I had already done years ago) after searching and searching for reasons why my password all of the sudden didn't work on my iPhone.  This started about 3-4 weeks ago. 
    So my password needed to be re-set when I tried to access my iTunes on my computer, and my iTunes balance disappeared.  My username was still my email address (as it had been for years) but my gift card balance was gone and so was ownership of all my apps and music
    Now, after upgrading to iOS5 my ONLY Apple ID now works with the re-set password, but it lost all of my apps.  They are there, but when I go to update them through the iTunes store, I get that "cannot connect to itunes store" error message because after that weird 'update' to my Apple ID it seems to have lost all history I've had with Apple. 
    This is so upsetting, as I'm finding out that Apple does not allow recovery of these purchased items between these ID's.  So, now I'm wondering where in the heck is my "old" apple id??  I can't sign in with my "old" info....

    I too am unable today to connect to the iTunes store after updating to 10.5.  I was running 10.4 ok after performing the following.
    There is simple solution for that case (forWindows 7, 64):
    1. C:\ProgramData\Apple\Installer Cache\AppleApplicationSupport 2.0.1
    2. Right click
    3. Uninstall
    4. C:\ProgramData\Apple\Installer Cache\AppleApplicationSupport 1.5.2
    5. Right click
    6. Install
    7. Restart Windows
    I have uninstalled ALL Apple products, turned OFF Norton 360, redownloaded a new copy of 10.5 and reinstalled with no success.  Running Win 7 64 with all updates.
    I am ready to purchase the new iPhone 4S to work with this computer but......

  • Updated to newest version of iTunes and now cannot connect to iTunes Store

    Please help! I have tried everything suggested by Apple to remedy this problem to no avail. I even have removed iTunes completely and downloaded/installed the newest version again. I did not want to update, but the store would not let me purchase a new release with my older version for some reason? I always hate modifications/updates. They never seem to work properly.     i had the same thing happen to me. as usualy new version of something stops something else from working. its final cut pro updates all over agian. anyway... the above posts helped me get a solution so i will share it;
    since i didnt have any virus protection it appears to be the built in windows firewall doing the damage. on my machine i had to navigate to the windows security icon which is burried : start -> programs -> accessories -> system tools -> security center. then scroll down to "windows firewall" to the "exceptions tag". "iTunes" was already selected as an allowed program so i deleted it and then added it again (manually add program, then browse to wherever you saved iTunes to. likely in program files). the newer version came up as "iTunes.exe" not just "iTunes" as before.

    Cured the problem! Reinstalled an earlier version of itunes from oldapps.com (version 10) now everything works as it should. I would suggest that if you are experiencing these problems that you do the same. I must say that it is a brave business decision on behalf of apple to effectively lock out all windows 7 users from their products and sales channels and I can only wish them luck in this very shortsighted policy.

    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    Try quitting the App Store:
    Tap the home button to get to the home screen. Then double tap the home button, and hold your finger over the App Store icon. Tap the red when it appears. Tap the home button again to return to the home screen.
    Try resetting:
    Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

    this will sound odd... but make sure your time zone is set correctly.... SETTING, GENERAL, DATE & TIME and make sure SET AUTOMATICALLY is turned ON... i had a similar problem and this fixed it.... good luck

    Sometimes all it takes is a restart of the iPad and a reboot of your router as Fred already stated and you may be able to connect again.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • Getting "cannot connect to iTunes store error from one appleID but another works fine

    I have 2 apple ID's, a personal one, and one that me and a couple of coworkers share so that we can share apps we purchase.  I cannot log into the shared AppleID from my ipad.  I can from my PC so I know it is not an incorrect password or anything like that.  I get the error "cannot connect to iTunes Store".  Is this because too many of us are logged into the same apple ID at once?  I tried changing the password so that it would kick everyone else off, but even with a new password I get the error.  I am able to login with my personal apple ID just fine, so I know it's not an issue with my wifi or my ipad software (i don't think).  anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

    I understand you are trying to access the iTunes Store on your Windows computer but are getting an alert with the number 0x80092013.     I am a fairly new apple user, just got the new ipad, as part of an evaluation program. I recently did an iOS update and now keep getting the error message:cannot connect to iTunes Store... I tried date changing - no good ... The only thing that worked was to change the DNS setting to 0.0.0.0 as described in another thread. This fix for a day and now still getting the same error message and DNS setting changes do nothing. I have tried the reset method several times to no avail. I'm beginning tho think the ipad wasn't a great idea.... Apple need to attend to this. Like many, I have already wasted too much time looking for a fix. I am part of an IT in education group that will soon be recommending a specific hardware and OS. Could result in the loss of thousands of ipad sales for apple ....
    Anyhow... All or any suggestions are welcome :)

    Also, I've just learned that I can connect to download new apps, but cannot update any apps I've downloaded in the past. How might I go about connecting my reset apple ID with its history from before it was reset? I assume that is the biggest issue.
