Select the column, which need to be moved by placing your cursor on the column & press F9. Now place the cursor at a place where the column needs to be moved & press F8.

  • How to add new column in report painter

    Hi Experts,
I want to add new column in report painter which as to calculate the previous column . value in the new column should be the precentage of previous column existing on left side...

    HI  Pradeep,
Goto the transaction code (Change Report) GR32.
Give you library name and report name
And click on the column (application tool bar or F7) button then place the curser on the screen where you want column (please note you have to keep curser on the header section u2013Red column text) right click and insert element. Then you select formula as selection element  and enter. You will get the enter formula box. Then you can type your formula and continue. This will add new column to the report.
How to enter formula: you can see the formula components in that id and description.
Id is columns that are present and description indicates explanation of that column.
    Enter formula according your requirement.
    Examples:
    Enter formula screen:
    ID :    des
    X001  amount
    X002  pt000
    X003  test
    1. Enter formula as: ( X001 u2013 X002)
The above formula is for fist column u2013 second column.
    2. ( ( X001 u2013 X002) / X003) * 100

  • Additional Lead Column in Report painter

    Hi Gurus
Please guide me how to add an additional Lead column in Report painter
    Thanks
    Hiren

    Hi HIren,
There can be only one lead column in report painter.
However within the one lead column you can identify more than one characteristic - e.g. cost center and cost element. You can then identify that both characteristics should be exploded.
If you go Edit > Rows > Explode, you have the opportunity of identifying which characteristic takes presidence over the other, and how they expand. So in this example, Cost center will be 1 and cost element will be 2.
The output will be dependant upon your report layout, but you should have the layout so that you have:
    Cost Center A:
    - Cost Element A
    - Cost Element B:
    - Cost Element C:
    Cost Center B:
    - Cost Element A:
    - Cost Element B:
    - Cost Element C:
And to distinguish the cost centers from the cost elements, you can format the cost center row "Color for Totals"

  • Trying to add new columns to Report painter Report

    Hi Experts,
I created a report painter report by copying an already existing report. In addition I wanted to add extra columns to this report but after adding a few and coming to the last page of the existing report when i try to add a new column the system gives me an error message
Insufficient space on current page -> moving not possible
        Message no. KH581
As this is the last page, I am not able to add extra columns to this report. How can I go to the next page and add columns to this existing report. Your responses are highly appreciated.
    Regards
    ASLV

    Hello,
This is a constraint in the system.
The solution maybe is to define narrower columns
because there is a hard restriction in ABAP to have at least 255 digits
    on one page.
The message KH581 is processed because there is not enough space left
on the first horizontal page. So if you first add a new horizontal page
you can add the new column on the second page. Also if you decrease the
column width of the columns to get more space left on the first page you
    can add the new columns.
    I hope it helps.

    REnan

  • Display Profit Center & GL Account in 2 Seperate Columns in Report Painter Report

    Hello All,
I am building a Report Painter Report for Inventory Balances. As psrt of my requirement I have to display GL Account & Profit Center ina different Column & their Balances for each month on this Current Fiscal Period. As/of now I am only able to have both GL Account & Profit Center in the Same Lead Column? And it is perfect if I look on the Report but when I download all the GL Account & Profit Center are not seperated with Color, so it becomes confusing. I need to have  execlty the Report as Same Format S_PL0_86000030.
How can this be achievable? Thanks for your valuable input?

the account is probably in account group or set. Look for that one in report painter and then go to the set or account group and remove/add the account.

  • New column to report painter

    Hello ABAP Gurus,
There is a report created with Report Writer (S_ALR_87013000) and I should add some extra columns to the end of it. The problem is that the new columns are not contained by the basic keyfigures of Report Painter; they should be red from masterdata: different fields from table AUFK.
How can I add these columns? Is it possible to define own keyfigures? Or is any other way to enhance this report?
    Thanks,
    Krisztian

  • EXTREMELY URGENT: % Cost (out of Total Costs) Column in Report Painter

    Hi Gurus,
I'm not new to Report Painter, but, am stuck at one thing.
In report, Col 1 shows Costs by Administration (row 1), Labor (row 2), Others (row 3) and total (row 4 being formula as total of row 1, 2 & 3).
Client wants col 2 to show % Cost of each row out of total Expenses (so totals row in this col. will have 100%)
    How to do it technically.
    Please help. It's EXTREMELY URGENT.
    I'll award points ASAP
    Regards,
    SB

Its abit difficult to illustrate without having a screen dump, what you can do is make use of something called special cell definition. Now if you double click on the cell for column 1 of row 4 for total costs then the system identifies it as a cell Z001 which in fact will recognise a constant value of total costs , thereby you can define in Column 2 as a formula element with (X001/Z001)*100 thereby giving a value in %. Try it and see if it helps

  • Formula line in Report painter

    Hello,
Can I use 'IF' phrase in Formula column in Report painter ?  If so what's the right Syntax .
    Thank you,
    Ran.

    Hi Ran,
Glad to hear from you too!
Did you put '.' in the formula at the end of the message? You shouldn't in this kind of statement, so the expression should be:
    IF X005 > 0 THEN X004 + X003 + X005 ELSE X004 + X003
    Regards,
    Eli
P.S. I tried it, just in case, and it works.

  • Report Painter for GR55 report

    Hi
I am changing the formula of one cell of one column in report painter type report. what is happening with my report there are FIVE columns of profit center AND one TOTAL column , every column has 10 rows, there are three rows of total revenue , gross profit and % value of , Gross profit / Total revenue. this % figure is correct for above mentioned five columns but for total column , it is adding horizontally all the five % figure and gives the %GP figure , which is incorrect, it should be TOTAL OF GROSS PROFIT / TOTAL OF REVENUE in TOTAL column itself. now formula for total column for total revenue or gross profit are correct as it is adding horizontally and giving the total, but for only one cell of the column that is GP % in TOTAL COLUMN needs to be changed, HOW it can be done ?
    Thanks
    Deepak

You can not change a particular cell only in report painter.
    Thanks

    hi santosh,
Where Is Report Painter/Report Writer Used?
Initially, both tools were only available to the FI/CO modules. Later, with the introduction of the Logistics Information System and Flexible Analyses in Release 3.x, the functionality of these tools was further expanded. It still is not widely known that the Report Painter/Writer can be used for reporting against structures other than those delivered in FI and CO (see TechTalk on page 8-4).
A common misconception in the user community is that Report Painter/Report Writer can only be used to report against a single table. However, some reporting structures do report against multiple tables. For example, CCSS (for Cost Center Accounting) refers to tables COSP, COSS and more, depending on the key figure configuration. Similarly, FI-SL (Special Purpose Ledger) reporting structures include summary and line-item tables (the key figure set determines where the data comes from).
To configure other table joins, views may be created joining the necessary tables, and views can be added to the control tables, via Flexible Analyses in LIS. Report Painter/Report Writer can be used in almost any application area in R/3 to report on currencies and quantities.
    Data tables supported
Both Report Painter and Report Writer can be used to report on the following tables and tables types:
< Evaluation structures set up in the Logistics Information System (LIS). These structures normally begin with an “S” or “ZF.” Several different tables and views within the R/3 System can be added as evaluation structures.
Note: You cannot add cluster tables, such as BSEG.
< CCSS is used for Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA), Internal Orders (CO-OPA), Activity Based Costing (CO-ABC) and for cost element reports in Project Systems (PS).
< GLFUNCT is used for functional area reporting in cost-of-sales accounting.
< GLPCT and GLPCOP are used for Profit Center Accounting (CO-PCA/EC-PCA).
< FILC is used for Legal Consolidations (FI-LC).
< COFIT is used for the Controlling Reconciliation Ledger (CO-CEL).
< ZZ tables are created for the Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL).
< FIMC is used for consolidations in the Enterprise Controlling module (EC-LC).
< GLT0 is used for Financial Accounting (General Ledger) reports by account, company, and business area (FI-GL).
< KKBC, KKBE, and KKBU are used for the Controlling Product Costing module (CO-Costing).
< New in Release 4.0A: RWCOOM is used for CO-CCA, CO-OPA, and CO-ABC. RWCOOM is used for special standard reports like internal order budget reports, cost center budget reports and cost component reports.
Note: RPPS was used for Project Systems (PS). However, it is obsolete and will no longer be supported in Release 4.0. In Release 3.x there were only two special reports (6P70 and 6P71) using RPPS. These reports cannot be called directly, but via ABAP reports RKOPLAN0 and RKOPLAN1.
How to Access Report Painter/Report Writer?
To access the Report Painter you may use either of the following two methods:
    < Transaction FGRP
< From the SAP main menu, choose Information systems ® Ad hoc reports® Report painter.
Report Writer functions can be accessed from within the Report Painter. To access Report Writer, choose the following menu path from the SAP main menu:
Information systems ® Ad hoc reports® Report painter® Report Writer.
How Is Report Painter/Report Writer Organized?
Report Painter/Report Writer has four main components:
< Sets: Sets are logical groupings of characteristic values. For example, a cash line on a balance sheet is made up of a set of cash accounts or an energy product line on an inventory report is made up of a set of energy products. Variables can also be created which are placeholders for sets, or values within sets.
< Libraries: Libraries control which characteristics and key figures from a table are available for reporting.
< Reports: Reports hold a definition of the rows, columns, and overall data selection. They also include the header and footer texts and layout settings.
< Report Groups: Report groups can contain one or more reports. The report group is what you execute—not the actual report. A report group is generated to create a set of ABAP programs that produce the reports.
How Does Report Painter Differ from Other Reporting Tools?
< With the exception of row titles which have text fields, Report Painter/Report Writer reports display numerical fields only (for example, dollar and quantity fields). This is not a requirement for ABAP Query and typical line item reporting tools, which can display arbitrary text columns.
< While printed Report Painter/Report Writer reports appear much the same way on paper as they do on screen, the Drilldown reporting tool produces a different output format. Drilldown reporting is an online analytical tool which can be used to drill down to different levels of detail, but it is infrequently used for printing.
< Report Painter/Report Writer reports are hierarchical and take advantage of configured hierarchies (for example, with cost center hierarchies). You can also execute Report Painter/Report Writer reports from each level within a hierarchy.
< Report Painter/Report Writer reports can handle multiple currency/quantity units within a single column.
< Report Painter/Report Writer is well suited to handle reports that require mass production. For example, Report Painter/Report Writer is a particularly effective tool for creating month-end reports.
