Moving from trial version to purchased of Aperture 3

I installed the trial version and when doing so did a 'use photos in current location'.  I did not import from iPhoto.  I want to purchase now.  Do I move the trial version to the trash and purchase or purchase and use the code on the trial version.  If I move the trial version to the trash I assume I dont loose any photos.  Either way when I start Aperture with the purchased version I need to 'consolidate masters' to move my photos from iPhoto,  Once I have done that I can then delete my iPhoto library.  I have created a few books with the trial version and dont want to loose those in the update.

If you want to purchase a full version, you will want to download the version from the App Store, that is a better bargain than the boxed version from the Apple Store.
To be able to install the download you need to deinstall the trial version from the applications folder, but keep your Aperture Library - that will save your imported images.

That is a good plan. Your books are stored in the Aperture Library, that will be saved.

  • Moving from trial version to purchasing a full version

I installed a trial version of an app (Stuff) on my PlayBook. I decided I wanted to purchase it after the trial period was over. App World will only let me delete it and reinstall the trial version. Does anyone have a suggestion ?

  • Converting work from Trial version to purchased version?

I just purchased FCPX and am wondering how to convert my work from the Trial version.

Have you launched your paid version?
It should start up and load your projects exactly the same as the free trial  .  .  .  because they are the same app.
There is no point in finishing your projects in the trial  .  .  .  just open the paid version and carry on working.

  • From Trial Version to Purchased Version

My trial version has been a bit glitchy and has crashed once, hard enough to necessitate a power down to recover.
The question:  FCPX Trial is shown as such under Applications.  If I buy this version, does it get replaced with the purchased version, or does the trial version just get unlocked?
If it only gets unlocked, I plan to uninstall it before purchasing.

Trash it and download it again.

  • How to switch from Trial version of CC apps to Full version purchased for me.

I recently joined a new company.  First day on the job, I downloaded trial versions of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop only to find out that the company had purchased a subscription for Creative Cloud for me. How do I get off the trial versions and onto the full versions?

    Hi avgjoe62,
You can simply use the email address used to purchase the subscription to license the software from trial version.
The subscription is linked to the Adobe ID (email address).

  • Color shift going from trial version to full version CS5

Hi guys, I have just gone from trial version of CS5 master collection to a full version of master collection CS5 on my PC.
My trial expired so I uninstalled it completely, then reinstalled fresh from the CS5 DVD. I also updated all of the programs straight after the install. (something which I don't think I did with the trial version).
My problem now is though I am experiencing quite a big color shift from what the trial version was showing me to what my full version is showing me. (Yes I have checked the color settings, they are all pretty much default North American General Purpose 2)
In the trial version the colors were correct, but now my file I am working on my "mouve blue have moved into almost a purple appearance."
Also if I go into acrobat and open the PDF version of the file I was previously working on the colors are also displaying incorrectly when opening the PDF that was created in the trial (which was displaying correct when using the trial). So I guess its not just PS related.
I have a laptop which is also running a trial version of master collection, and when I copy my file to this machine and open the colors are spot on how they should be (just like they were prior to me going full version) which tells me something has definatley changed in this installed full version of CS5 for me.
Not sure what I should do, unstall the software and reinstall it without doing the updates?
PS. Under color managment / advanced, windows color system defaults, my Device profile is: System Default (sRGB IEC61966-2.1)
Viewing conditions profile: System default (WCS profile for sRGB viewing conditions)
I havent changed anything there anyway in any install.
    Any help would be great

Some key points to help understand why you might be seeing what you are:
When color-management is set up properly with a wide gamut monitor, sRGB images can seem dull and lifeless compared to wider gamut images such as those expressed in Adobe RGB or ProPhoto RGB.
Not all apps are color-managed, so with e.g. a wide gamut monitor you'll see a significant visual difference between the same image displayed via a color-managed app such as Photoshop and a non-color-managed app such as Internet Explorer 8 and earlier.  Even though the color-managed applications may be displaying accurate color, many folks feel the inconsistency is "wrong" as compared to when more different apps display the same colors, which will happen with sRGB as the monitor profile (which is the Windows default).
People often consider more vibrant, saturated color "better".
Color management often does not actually work properly.  Not all profiles are created equal, even properly formatted monitor profiles may not accurately express the monitor's capabilities, and not all color management in applications is done properly.  You're not the first to report problems with a canned Dell monitor profile.

  • Upgrading from Trial version to Developer Edition

We installed SQL server 2014 trial edition in 2014 and the trial period just expired. No longer access SQL server 2014. Also in 2014 I purchased the SQL server 2014 Developer Edition.
I go in the maintenance section of SQL server 2014 and try to upgrade by entering my product key and get an error message that my product key is not valid. I called Microsoft and two different employees confirmed my product key is good.
Should I be able to upgrade from Trial version to Developer Edition by simply entering my product key?
    Thank you

    Hi cguay01,
As other post, you should be able to upgrade from Trial Edition to Developer Edition by entering product key from SQL Server setup wizard, you can follow the steps in this similar
blog. You can also use the following command lines to upgrade SQL Server 2014 Trial to a full version.
    Setup.exe /q /ACTION=editionupgrade /INSTANCENAME=<MSSQLSERVER or instancename> /PID=<PID key for new edition>" /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS
According to your description, the issue that “product key is not valid” might be caused by several reasons such as corrupted installation file, antivirus scanning and so on. There are some proposals for you troubleshooting this issue.
    1. Please ensure that your SQL Server installation file is not corrupted. If you are using ISO download, please copy the content of the ISO image to the local disk on your computer and upgrade SQL Server from there.
    2. Make sure you use corresponding license key matched the edition and version of SQL Server.
    3. Make sure that you don’t exceed the limit of allowed activations of the product key.
    4. Turn off any Anti-virus software when upgrading SQL Server.

  • Moving from trial to full version.  Serial number not valid?

Trial version will not accept new serial number for authorization.
I bought the full version today from the Apple store (for $99 -- I guess I spent too much due to it being $79 on the App Store).  Apple sent me the new serial number, but Aperture won't accept with the trial version serial number or the new serial number.  What is going on?

While you're at it, you should see if they will just refund your money then you could go to the App Store and get it for $80.
If the above number doesn't work the web page Contact Apple might help.

  • HT3396 Difficult transition from trial version of Numbers to purchased app version - not recognised by existing spreadsheets!

Having used the trial version of Numbers and then purchasing the app, which has been installed, I can no longer save or print existing spreadsheets as I get a message to say the trial version has ended.  I have tried to register the purchased version but it requires a Marketing Part Number as part of the process which does not appear to be provided either with the app or with any separate e mail confirmingthe purchase.
How can I get the purchased app version to be recognised by existing spreadsheets??

    Hi Chris,
There are a number of paths from the trial to a functioning full version of iWork or the individual iWork applications.
You can purchase a registration number, open one of the applications from the trail, then enter the number to activate the iWork applications and remove the trial restrictions.
You can uninstall the trial, then reinstall iWork using the retail box version's installation disk.
You can uninstall the trial, then install the individual applications purchased and downloaded from the Mac app store.
The sticking point in the second and third path is "You can uninstall..."
Uninstalling the iWork trial requires removing the iWork folder (and its contents) AND a number of support files created by the iWork applications from your hard drive.
The most efficient way of doing that is to use an AppleScript written by Yvan Koenig, and available for download from Yvan's Box account. Click the link, then click for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip
Unpack the .zip file, open the unpacked file in the Script editor, and click Run.
Then reinstall iWork from the retail box disk, or download and reinstall the individual applications from the Mac app store.

  • Video overlay issue after I moved from trial to purchased premiere elements

I was using the trial version of premiere elements and was happy with the product. So I decided to buy it. When I did this and put in the serial number I noticed all my video / title overlays are now black. places in my video where I dont have overlay there isnt a problem.
Why did this happen when I switched from trial to purchased product? How do I fix it?

Though I have never read of such problems, let's look at a few possibilities.
You mention "Opacity," and that got me to thinking. Select one of the Clips, that displays as black - click on it. Go to Effects>Edit Effects, to get the Effects Control Panel. Check the Opacity setting (one of the Fixed Effects on every Video Clip). What is that set to?
Test 02 - Dbl-click on one of those offending Clips, to open it in the Source Monitor. Does it play properly there? As that is accessing the physical file on the HDD, and not the editable version on the Timeline, that might tell us something about the file.
Also, what are the specs. of the files, that are not displaying? The reason that I ask is that there are/were a few limitations of the trial (think that the message might still be a sticky at the top of the main forum - not the discussions page - and that it alternates to one about Macs. Wait for it to display, and click on "See Details," to see if maybe there is something there. There are modules in PrE, that require "activation," when one goes to the full-paid version. This activation is usually done transparently, and the user is seldom aware that it has taken place. For it to take place, that computer WILL need to be connected to the Internet.
In your Timeline, do you have red lines over your problem Clips? If so, hit Enter/Return to Render the Timeline for best quality playback. Does that help?
Last, I would check my video driver, and update to the latest one available. My thinking here is that though a video display issue should be rather global for the display/playback in PrE, perhaps it's having problems, where you have two Video Tracks (that does require a bit more power, than just a single Video Track), and perhaps an OS update has rendered that video driver obsolete. That does usually affect the full display of the GUI and also all playback, but again, what you describe is not normal, so if we eliminate all possibilities, we might be able to zero in on the issue.
As you can see, I am just thinking aloud here, as I do not recall this issue ever being posted before. Also, just because something should happen (like PrE easily going from trial to full-paid, with just the S/N), does not mean that it will always happen, as it should.
Good luck, and wish that I had more for you.

  • From trial version to full version

I've been working with the trial version of the Aperture 3.1.2.
Now I want to buy the full version (the version I have is full but it will expire in 10 days).
I just want to be sure, if I buy if from the app store on my Mac, that I'll just get the key and don't have to download the whole program again. I've put in a lot of work to get my albums and stuff all sorted and I would REALLY hate to start over.
I just want to be sure before I do anything stupid.
And I do want to buy it from the app store on my Mac cause it's about $100 cheaper then buying the box.
    Thanks so much
    Sophie

And to be clear, no matter how you download and install Aperture, any Library (you can have more than one) you created will still be there afterwards. Installing the App Store version (which you're going to have to do) doesn't overwrite the Library you created with the Trial Version. At worst, when you start up the purchased version you might have to tell it where your Library is, if you don't have it in your Pictures folder.

  • Upgrade from trial version to full

I wonder if someone can assist, although this is not a tech query.  I am currently using Elements 7 and considering upgrading to Photoshop CS5.  I can take the upgrade path and save nearly £100.  Further, if I order the boxed version from Adobe instead of downloading it I can save a further £20 or so (no, I don't understand why either!).  However, if I download and install the trial version of CS5 before deciding to buy I am concerned that these options may no longer be available if I do choose to buy.  I would hate to find that, by installing the trial version first it might cost me about £120.00.  Is there anyone who can comment on this with authority?
    Many thanks
    Paul

Why should Adobe care about you trying their software? No, this wil lhave no influence on the actual purchase. Two unrelated systems. they may even offer you another upgrade path with additional discounts when sending you those trial reminders...
