Moving items between cloud libraries

can't how to do this very basic function on any platform - desktop, web or mobile… I'd love to be able to organise stuff after the fact…

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Moving Photos Between iPhoto Libraries

I have established a second iPhoto library but an not clear on how to move photos from the original library to the second library. Seems it should be simple - from the original library I highlight the photos to be exported to the second library, then click "export", but the export to the second library doesn't happen. Also, while in the second library I tried to import the highlighted photos from the original library, but that didn't work either. I have iPhoto 6.0.6 Can anyone help?

You cannot export directly into another iPhoto Library folder, because all files must be imported in order to be recognized by the database. Don't ever try to manipulate your files directly inside the iPhoto Library folder. Importing photos from one library into another will get you the photos, but strip them of their albums and other library metadata.
The only way to move photos between libraries and preserve albums, keywords, and other metadata is to use iPhoto Library Manager. It will save you a lot of work.

ICal does not update the organizer when moving items between calendars

I have two calendars: Exchange 2007 and CalDAV.
If I organize a meeting in my Exchange calendar, and later on notice that it is in the wrong calendar, move it to my CalDAV calendar, iCal forgets to update the organizer correctly.
The organizer after moving is "invalid:nomail". The consequence of this is that I can no longer edit that item as I'm "not the organizer". Moving the item back to my Exchange calendar is impossible for the very same reason.
All I can do after moving is delete and start over. Anyone experiencing the same problem?

Also, you can't move the event to a different calendar if you're not the organizer.

Moving albums between iphoto libraries

I have three iPhoto libraries on my mac book pro. I have created albums and events in each and want to consolidate the albums to a single Iphoto library.
How do I do that?

If you have Aperture 3.3 or later and iPhoto 9.3 or later you can merge libraries with Aperture.
Otherwise the only way to merge Libraries is with the paid ($30) version of iPhoto Library Manager

Moving list items between folders

Is it possble to move a list item between folders in the same list. I can't fond how to do this?

Ok, well...I had to ask on the "Content Approval" and configuration side of things just to make sure.
For me, I've tried several times on different lists and have been successful each time whenther its been through a custom "Datasheet" view, or by using the "Edit in Datasheet" option from the "Actions" menu (both do the same thing). The one thing that you must do when copying the row is to select only the cells you want copied and not the entire row, or it will most likely throw either the "Read-Only" error you've been seeing, or a "You cannot perform this operation on an attachment field" error.
Here's an example of what I did to both produce the error you've been seeing, and to actually perform the paste operation successfully:
Created a custom list.
Added in 3 fields
first: "single line of text" not required
second: "single line of text" required
third: "Choice" with three options, not required
Through the default view, I then added in a couple new items with some of the optional fields filled in and a couple without (just to test to make sure that "Required" vs. "Not Required" didnt affect the ability to modify in DataSheet).
Next, I created a custom DataSheet view.
Next, I created a subfolder (after enabling it through the list "Advanced Settings").
Next, I went to the custom view to see the test items in a DataSheet view.
In the view, I see the first column (sorting column), a "Type" column specifying if the item is a folder or "item", the default "Title" column, and my additional 3 custom columns.
To copy to the subfolder:
Starting from the "Title" field, I click and drag-to-select the 4 total columns on the row I want to copy, then do a "Ctrl+C" to copy the row's data. Then I click on the folder icon for the subfolder to go into the folder. Once in the folder, I select the "Title" column and do a paste ("Ctrl+V") and the row is now copied. If I then go back and choose the default "AllItems" view, I can now see the record has indeed been copied and now exists in both the top level and the subfolder.
To cut an item from one location to another (top-level to subfolder, subfolder A to subfolder B, etc.) do the exact same thing, but after selecting the cells and copying - click on the grey cell for the row (far left column) to select the entire row then hit "delete" (a popup will ask you to confirm), then proceed to the target location and paste as mentioned above.
The reason for this is that it wont let you leave the view until you either delete the row or place something back into it.
The above does work providing that you only select the cells you want to copy and not the entire row.
Now, to get it to fail and throw errors, one of a couple things has to have happened.
First, if you try and select the entire row (selecting from the leftmost column - the gray background column), different errors will present themselves depending on the selected cell you try and paste into.
Pasting into the same column (in your target location, subfolder etc.) will now throw the "The selected cells are read-only" error.
Trying to paste into the next cell (the "Sort" or "Attachment" column) will throw a "You cannot perform this operation on an attchment field" error.
Trying to paste into the "Type" column will also throw the "Read-Only" error.
Lastly, if you try and paste into any of the other cells, you now see a "The information cannot be pasted because the paste area is not completely on the list. Paste into a different cell or try inserting more columns or rows into the list." (this error refers to the fact that the selected columns you copied to not directly match up with where you're trying to paste them).
So again, the way that you'll have to copy the items is make sure that you only select the cells that you want and nothing else (only select the cells you would normally fill-in through the "New Item" form since they're the only one you can directly edit)...and make sure that when pasting, you paste back to the starting cell from your copy (as in the "Title" column from my example).
Give it a shot again noting the cells you're trying to copy and post back with the results.

Slow Moving Items in 0IC_MC01 Performance issue

Hi i am creating slow moving items report (Report which shows materials for which no transaction has been done for last 3 years) on MP 0IC_MC01 in BI7.0.
MP is based on cube 0IC_C03 and Infoobject 0MATERIAL .
In query i put rowcount in coloumn with Infoprovider 0material with constant selection but i dont get the option "Display values not posted" . and Issues value and Recved value .
in rows i put plant , material and material type
n put one condition values for issued and Recid = 0 .
and in filter we have calender year restriction .
But the proble is dere are around 25000 materials for each plant and its taking a lot of time to exceute for multiple plants for 1-2 years , can anyone suggest the best way for this report or how performance of this report can be improved .
Help will be appreciated .

Its rather better to use infoset on 0IC_MC01 and Material than using MP. The performance issue is coming because of a join between cube and infoobject, which SAP dont suggest to use.
You ahve to use left outer join to get slow moving items.

Moving files between folders is very slow

Hi, I have an iMac 2011. Processor: 2.7GHz Intel Core i5/ Memory 4GB
OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.1
After I change my OS from Mavericks to Yosemite, moving files between folders is very slow.
For example, if I move one jpg file in Desktop to Pictures folder (or just any other folders like Trash), it takes about 3 seconds.
When I was still using Mavericks, it made that Ding sound and transferred files right away. However, now, although it makes the Ding sound right away, the file is still there for 3 seconds.
I tried to clean up my mac using many apps, but they never fixed this problem.
I've also tried what I saw on this one thread. OS X File Transfers Very Slow
Go->Connect to Server then type "cifs://server-address" but it says there is a problem and did nothing. (maybe different issue)
Please help!

There may be other issues, but you installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
if it's not already checked.

Can I use Creative Cloud libraries in InDesign?

There doesn't seem to be a library menu item like in Illustrator or PS.

When Creative Cloud Libraries was introduced at MAX in October (together with the new CC releases), I believe they said that it would be extended in the future to other applications. InDesign is a likely candidate. Adobe doesn't pre-announce products so you'll have to wait like the rest of us.

C3-01 - Moving Photos Between Folders On SD Memory...

I’m stumped on how to move photos between folders on the SD memory card in my new C3-01.
When I take a photo, it saves it to the ‘Images’ folder on the SD card, but there doesn’t appear to be an easy way to get it from that folder onto one of my other folders.
On my previous phone, I’d do the following –
1 – Open the item
2 – Go to ‘Options’
3 – Scroll down to ‘Move’
4 – When the list of available options was displayed, I’d highlight the ‘Memory card’, and press Options’ again to get an ‘Open folder’ option.
5 – Select the ‘Open folder’ option.
6 – Scroll down to the folder I wanted to put the photo in to.
However, on my C3-01, once I get to option 4 above, there don’t appear to be any other options available. I now have a situation where I’ve moved items from my Images folder on my memory card but can’t put them into any sub-folders.
Is this function no longer available? If so, it does seem a bit unusual.

if you want to move selected file one folder to another ..thn once you marked the file ,select move option...thn make a long press on memory card option ,thn open drive option will show.,once you open the foldr thn make a small press on the foldr.....

My client wants to develop a new report for slow and fast moving items, I checked the std report MC46 however as per std SAP design this report does not consider the special stock like project stock (Q)...could you please help me to know how can develop this new report with following input and output fields?

"Deleted items: Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device?" questions

When I log into the BIS site for Sprint, it gives me the option at the bottom that says
"Deleted items: Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device." at the very bottom
What does this really mean? I am confused because when you delete an email off the blackberry, it gives you 3 options, delete from "mailbox & handheld," "handheld," and "cancel".
So, if I have the "Deleted items: Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device." clicked...does that mean when I just choose delete from "handheld" only, it will STILL delete the email from my actual "mailbox" too?
I don't want it to delete the email from my "mailbox" if I choose to delete from "handheld" only on my blackberry
Does anyone know more about this?

if you choose to delete on device only, it will never delete on your server.
but best is you to try for one test message and you'll know for sure. And tell us.

Dear All,
I am facing problem in preparing functional specification for a Z report.The requirement details are given below
MC46 gives me a list of all items that have not got consumed since the last period (defined in terms of 'no of days' on the screen before executing the report) This report give a list of items that have shown nil consumption in the defined period. This list helps us analyze and categorize these items as Slow-moving or Non-Moving items. The output is in terms of Part no and Part Description.
Example; Suppose we are executing the transaction on say 29.10.2013.The system ,say give list of materials X1,X2 and X3 with nil consumption in the defined. The transactions suppose is again executed
on 29.10.2011.The report say again give a list of materials X1 and X3 with nil consumption. The material
X2 is excluded from the report as it might have been consumed in certain business processes(either issued to cost center or issued to production).
The client wants a report from where it is possible to determine a list of materials along with consumption
and the date on which the material have moved out of stock for consumption. In otherworldu2019s we can say the report should give :
                    stock on starting date(say 29.10.2013)
                    Consumption/movement in terms of date and quantity
The problem is that when the transaction MC46 is run the next time(say on 29.11.2013 or any day after
29.10.2013) there might be materials which might have got consumed in the interim period and therefore have got excluded from the latest list. We need to have a look at these interim materials to analyze their movement/consumption.MC 46 Report does not give details of openinf stock, closing stock and the purpose for which the stock have moved out of stock
The client wants a Z-Report which will give details about the material which have moved out of stock when the report will be executed ,opening stock,closing stock.The detail requirement are given below
The report will assist the client to get a list   of all such items with reference to a starting date and their movement in the period (period from the starting date to the run date)

Transfer Posting for Line Items between Reconciliation Account

HI,
My customer want to transfer costing the line items between a old Reconciliation Account and a New Reconciliaton Account.
For example, i have a Account Group Vendor with a old Reconciliation Account " Vendor CEE".
This reconciliation account has the line items concern differents Vendors.
Edit a new Account Group calling ( CEE) to replace a Old Account Group.
After changing in Vendor Master data the Reconciliation account, we need to transfer posting the line items in the new account reconciliation
In Sap system is there a report can do it? Can you help me?

- In Trx Obbw insert the reconciliation account and Adjustement account.
- and execute the trx FAGLF101 in test but the sap system give me the following error:
" Account determination for transaction A00 is missing for account 0205016001 ZM P001 "

My MacBook pro is freezing at the "moving items into place" phase. I have to restore from time machine each time. I'm talking about the 10.7.4 update

I can't seem to get the 10.7.4 update to work. It constantly freezing at the "moving items into place" phase. I let it run overnight and it's still frozen. I have to restore from time machine backup each time. Any help appreciated.

this is somethinng like the third post i have read about that update causing troubles...
But if I read this right- it is still in the install? Had you restarted and repaired permissions BEFORE the download? As well as emptying cache in safari first?
The other troubles I read had to do with after install, and caused by...oh what was it...it was early morning...an article at CNET news had it...google 10.7.4 update trouble and read the cnet one.
