Moving websites...

Question

I have been working on a PowerMac with Dreamweaver CS 2, but
now i have bought a new computer, a MacBook Pro and on that
computer i have Dreamweaver CS 3.
Is it possible in an easy way to move all the work/websites
accounts/ftp data to the new computer?
Or do i have to go through every step on every website i
made?

Answer 1

a) copy the local site files to the same location on the new
computer.
b) find and copy this file to the same location on the new
computer -
/HardDrive/Users/username/Library/Application
Support/Macromedia/Common/DreamweaverVersionNumber/Sites/Site
Prefs
Naturally, the user has to translate HardDrive to their
actual hard drive
name, username to their actual username, and
DreamweaverVersionNumber to the
actual DW version number they are using.
(posted earlier by Sonjay - and by the way, the "Macromedia"
will be
replaced with "Adobe" on the new system)
Also, I assume you mean DW8, since there was no DW CS2.
