MRP-Exclude STO document type from MRP Run

Hi,
I want to exclude STO document type from MRP run, so that STO Open qty will not be considered as open qty while  doing MRP.
I have checked below settings but didn't worked.
1. In OMI8 - I have unchecked "Stock in Transfer"
2. SPRO->Materials Management->Consumption-based Planning->Planning->Define torage Location MRP per plant
Here I have excluded ONE storage location from MRP and same storage location has been used in the STO.
Can anyone know how to resolve this ?
Regards,
Rakesh

Rakesh,
Yes, they will not be relevant for MRP.  Neither will anything else in that storage location.  However, the setting is not in configuration, but in the material master (MRP4 tab).
The configuration setting you mentioned has no impact on existing material masters, it is only used to determine the default settings for newly created storage location entries for a material/plant..
You can set a particular material/plant/stlocn to be irrelevant for MRP.  This relevancy is irrespective of document type, it can be a STO, a purchase req, a sales order,  a production order, or it could be stock (inventory)  - all supply and demand in this material/plant/stlocn are excluded from MRP processing.
MRP relevancy of storage location is set at the material/plant/storage location level in the material master.
If you do not wish to exclude a storage location from MRP, then you will have to find another way to make your STOs Irrelevant for MRP.  As I said earlier, STOs (like any other Purchase orders that are configured to process stock ), are generally considered to be relevant for MRP.
If you were a client, I would suggest that you rethink your business model that drives this requirement.
If the business model cannot be altered, and the storage location solution is unacceptable, then you will be stuck with a customized solution.

  • Exclude Reservation stock type from MRP Run

    Dear All,
I need to exclude Reserved Stock Type from MRP Planning.
Please guide me with the steps to perform the above.
Just for your information, the reservation is coming from Plant Maintenance module, not Production Planning.
I tried changing the Availability check 02 - PM checking rule to exclude reservation, but it doesnt seem to work. Maybe i did it wrong.
    Please help.

    Nazrin,
Availability check configuration (OVZ9) has no impact on MRP.  MRP relies on its internal rules when it is performing its net requirements calculation.  You have very little control over which elements are included/excluded.
You can exclude selected storage locations from MRP planning.  Stock and reservations against these storage locations will therefore also be excluded.
You can exclude a material from planning, change the material master MRP type to ND.
Your best bet, though, would be to set your PM planning process up such that these materials never create the reservation in the first place.

    Hi
You can set different MRP doc.type:  purchase requisitions for standard purchase order /  purchase requisition for subcontracting / purchase requisition for subcontracting  at MRP group level
Using transaction OPPR u2013 Select plant u2013 Select/create MRP group  under External procurement screen click on Scheduling/doc type.
And make sure that in material master u2013MRP1 view you are maintaining this MRP grp.

  • To exclude SCARP storage location from MRP

    Hi Gurus,
We have a issue regarding the scrap Quantities. we need to exclude these materials from the available stock for MRP. We have a setting in the MRP available stock with Blocked stock not checked and restricted stock checked.
My question is if we un check the restricted stock, is the MRP will not consider the stock in scrap storage location.
Please help to find the solution.
    Thank you.
    naveen.

    Hi,
Your scrap str location is not either blocked or restricted str location. This is a regular str location but the name is scrap location.
System will consider this str location as a regular str location. So do setting to exclude this str location from MRP as previous member explained.

  • I want to exclude a storage location from MRP

I want to exclude repair storage location from MRP so that the stock with repairs storage location should not be considered for other demands.
Also repair storage location stock should not be calculated against 'stocks'  term in MD04.
How to do this ? Pls share.

    Hi,
In transaction OMIR, choose your plant & then for the storage location you want to exclude from MRP enter 1 (exclude from MRP).
After this setting is maintained, whenever a material is created in this plant & storage location, it will have MRP indicator as "1" in the mrp 4 view .
For materials already in this storage location if the MRP indicator "1" is not maintained in mrp 4 view, please go for a mass change maintenance in the material master & maintain this indicator.
Stock in the excluded storage location will not add up to the stock which is displayed in the top in the md04 screen. This stock will be displayed separately in the bottom of the screen.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Credit Limit Check - Exclude Specific Documents / Credits from Exposure

    Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to exclude specific document types (credits) from the credit exposure calculation used during credit limit checks.
The ideia is to exclude "DG" credits in customer GL that are related to Trade Deal/Agreements to avoid over-exposure.
    Let me explain:
Currently, our credit management is configured to "Static" + "Open Items" for all credit groups in the CCA. Therefore, SAP calculates the credit exposure as:
              CE = OPEN ORDERS (S066) + OPEN DELIVERIES (S067) + OPEN BILLING (S067) + OPEN ITEMS (BSID)
Regarding "Open Items", I understand that SAP calculates the net value between all debits (receivables) and credits (returns, overpayments, etc...) already posted and not cleared in the Customer GL account. This rationale is correct since the credits are due to the customers and should be deducted from their exposure (i.e. "you may not pay them if you don't receive").
However, in our case, we also pay trade deals contracts (i.e. trade incentives and trade marketing investments) directly to costumers and apart from sales orders or credit memos. The flow is the following: (1) contracts are managed on a satelite system and interfaced to SAP; (2) contracts are created in the costumer GL as a credit (doc. type "DG"); (3) credits are sent to accounts payable for payment via F110.
Problem is that, contract credits volume is significant and are impacting customers credit exposure and limit check, resulting in greater exposure than allowed. That is, orders are being released while contract credits are open in the customer GL up to the max exposure, but when contracts are paid the exposure goes above the limit. For example:
    Day 1:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 30
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
              Credit Exposure: 80/100
    Day 2:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
Credit Exposure: 100/100 (no additional orders are released)
    Day 3:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
Open Itens: 70 (receivables: 70 / contracts: 0 - contracts are paid on day 3)
Credit Exposure: 120/100 (exposure is above customer limit since contracts that were being deducted were paid)
Any ideas or thoughts? Is something wrong in the explanation above? Should contracts credits be treated through special GL?
    Many thanks!

    Hello Julie,
the 2nd, System behavior (how do you interact the credit limit check (yes/no question) via DI?)
    Workaround:
Before you issue the Document, you may do a manual check: BP balance againt Credit Limit, and make deceision.

  • Multiple STO document types conflict in ME59N

    Folks,
    I have the following  scenario's:
    1) PReq NB with item category U -> intercompany STO NB (depends on the supplying and receiving plant) document types gets determined correctly through STO document type customizing (T161W)
    2) Preq NB with item category u -> intracompany STO UB, document types gets determined correctly through STO document type customizing (T161W)
    3) exception flow where preq ZF gets created through a development. This is also inter- and intracompany traffic. In case it's intercompany it should get ZF1 and in case it's intracompany it should get ZF2.
I've set preq - PO linkage that ZF preq can be linked to ZF1 and ZF2. Now when running ME59N, it seems that system only takes settings of T161W into consideration and wants an NB document type and this is not allowed (preq - PO linkage table).
Any suggestions how to set up scenario 3?

  • Retrive document types from BKPF / BSEG

    Hi guys,
I need to extract records with the following document types from BKPF
    - RE (Invoice Gross with PO)
    - RA (Sub.cred.memo stlmt with PO)
    - KR (Vendor Invoice without PO)
    - KG (Vendor credit memo without PO)
    - ER (E-Payment)
    - TE (Travel & expense)
    - KD (Down payment)
and then for these records the BSEG entries with these posting keys
    - 31 (link to Payment via clearing document)
    - 40 (debit entry, for non-PO voucher)
    - 50 (credit entry, for non-PO voucher)
    - 86 (GR/IR Debit, link to PO Line, positive)
    - 96 (GR/IR Credit, link to PO Line, negative)
Extractor 0fi_gl_4 does not provide me wtih all these doc types, only a subset.
0fi_ap_4 is not an option for me, because in the data warehouse I need to link the bkpf/bseg records to the PO (ekko/ekpo), while we have no po reference in bsik/bsik that are read by 0fi_ap_4.
Is there a way to extend the fi_gl_4 so it contains the doc types I need?
Or do you know another way of retrieving bseg records of specific types?
    Regards,
    Arjen

    ok,
I have checked again and if you didn't change the business content, both fields BLART (doctype) and BSCHL (key) are extracted; how was your delta init done? with selections? Did you apply some specific TRules or URules? Check you PSA for a record you are missing and simulate the update in order to see what's going on.
As I said, I got everything in my ODS.
you can also check this in R/3; Tx RSA3 with a comp_code and a fiscal period selection...
    hope this helps

  • Exclude few document numbers from the load

    Hi All,
I am trying to load data from a datasource in R3, (its a FM generic datasource). There are millions of records but I want to exclude few document numbers from the load. Does anyone know how to exclude? I have that field name in the selections
    Thanks in advance,
    shresh.

    Hi Shreesh,
EIther you can write a Routine at the Infopackage level or do the FULL load upto PSA & then you can restrict the data by writing a start routine in the Transformation between this Datasource & your Data Target like
DELETE SOURCE_PACKAGE where SOURCE_FIELDS-ABC = "give your restriction here"
where ABC is the Source field name.
    Hope it helps!

  • Purchase Req. Document type during MRP Run

    Dear All,
My reqmt. is that whenever I take MRP run of external procured items, System should generate Purchase
Req. for a particular Document type let say ZPE.as I want to control the no. range.
One thing I fopund was control through OPPR(MRP Group Settings).I have assigned the relevant MRP gp. to materials also, but still after MRP run, system picks up std.(NB) Doc. type for Purchase Req.
Kindly advise whether Iam missing some settings.

if you want sytem to create our own type, u can create assigning MRP Group for your material.
Goto OPPR , Assign your PR Docuemnt type in under "stnd pur order" coloum in External Procurement option in OPPR for your plant/MRP group Combination.
i hope u already  have created ZPE Pur requsition   doc type

  • Exclude special stock (project) from MRP run

    Hi,
Would need to exclude special stocks representing project stocks from MRP calculation. Could not seem to find a way to control this via config similar to options available for blocked and in-transit stocks.  Is there an option to do this in config?  Thanks...

    Hi,
You can exclude the stock by creating storage location MRP.
Create separate str location for project stock by MMSC.
In the material master of mrp 4 view, str location indicator - select Exclude str loc from mrp  for new ie, project str loc.
Check your Plant & str location by checking Plant/ data view in material master whether you have excluded the correct str location which you have newly created.
When mrp run system exclude this str location.

  • Alternate document type for MRP requisition

Our purchase scenario is that all MRP purchased items must have an approved contract to move to a purchase order.  In 95% of the cases, this will be true, but there will be that 5% that, due to expiration of the contract or quantity/value exceeded, a valid, approved contract will not be available.  However, the purchase must still proceed.
Our thought is to create an alternate requisition type that the buyer could change the MRP requisition document to.  This new document type would then be subject to requisition release strategy.
However, using an MRP generated requisition (creation indicator B), the document does not allow change of the document type.  The new document type is a complete copy of the NB document type used in MRP proposal planning, including the number range.  The only difference is that the new document type is subject to requisition release.
Changing the document type at the MRP group level won't solve the problem as very few materials will actually require this change.  It would be temporary until the existing contract could be extended and approved or a new one created and approved.  Also, it seems that the MRP group setting affects only the purchase order and not the requisition.
Is there a way for us to make this process work more smoothly than to have to copy the items from the NB document type to the alternate document type manually?

Assuming you have a material master involved, why not try MRP Group in TCode OMDT.  You can assign the group to the material and that group can determine the PR type that is created.
