Mrp - Purchase request split by different storage location
Dear all,
I have a plant with many storage location; One of these , s001, is located in a different street , so have a different address.
When user needs material for this storage location s001, he creates a reservation by trx MB21.
Storage disposition is deterministic , NO reording point .
I need to split purchase request in case of this storage location s001, but Mrp standard collect purchase request for same vendor / plant .
Do you know a user-exit for do that ?

Hi Satya,
1. The Requirements are consolidated at plant level and not at the storate location level.
2. Also in the PR/PO the storage location is derived from the data of the material master record. ( default rcvg s.loc)
3. So in case if you need to split, first you need to Split your PO and in the PO the Item data, Recieving s.location should be
edited in this.
4. Even if you Find a User Exit, We need to have manual intervention on this.

Picking quantity from a different storage location during batch split??
Hi Gurus,
Have an issue with doing batch split in a delivery with batches from several storage locations.
Have delivery XXXXXX where I want to pick batches from several different storage locations.
I click on the batch split button and select the different batches and quantitys.
The issue here is that I would like to have the different storage locations entered automatically based on the selection of the batch I have made.
The only storage location that is entered here or possible to be entered is the defaulted storage location that is in the first screen...
My question is why can I get the storage location where the batch is located and acctually exists when I do select the batch in the batch split...
The table LIPS and LGORT is not filed with the storage location so I do not know how I could fill this field with the correct storage location data...

you have not jet got an answer -- here my suggestion.
You have to use the Userexit Mv50afz1. Here you can do some checks and you can do a popup, where you can sign the LGORT, where the batch is.
In any case, you need an ABAPer
In documentation, there is signed, that you should not change database other as Save_prepare - and that's too late.
In one solution at my company, i show in a message the right information. In an other solution, i made a modification of table lips.
But dont change the index of the current lips/xlips. That may have the effect of incorrest LIS - System.
If nessesary create an ylips- Line of the position.
Use an assign-command to avoid the change of the index.

How to run MRP on different storage location level ?
Dear Experts,
Need your valuable guidance to solve the below requirement form the client-
1) My client want to enter a "safety stock level" for one spare part/ Material on the basis of individual storage locations.
For sake of example: in SL01 he wants the safety stock for particular material set to 5
In FS18 he wants the safety stock set to 2
In FS15 he wants the safety stock set to 1
Kindly tell me whether it is possible? & guide me how to do it.
2) Also tell me how to run MRP on a storage location level?
This is because after maintaining different safety stocks for one material in different storage locations, is it possible to appear each storage location with their differing safety stock levels?
I checked the MRP type maintained & its-1 (plant) & not as- 2 (storage location).

MRP run BOM explosion acc to storage location
Hi,
I got two finished parts i.e X & Y and a component A which is being used in bothe X & Y.
But the component A is stored in two different storage locations which are P & Q respectively.
So will it be possible that when I run MRP for X it should pick up stock from P and when I run MRP for Y it shoul onle pick up from Q not from P.

Since your are running MRP for Plant Level, it consider plant level stock for components.
if u want MRP donot consider stock for particular storage loaction, U have to make system to plan at MRParea Storage loaction level for Components.
Do the following settings,
1.Create Two MRP areas of stoarge location Type (2), and assign the component issue storage location accordingly.(Ex MRPAREA1 = P and MRPAREA2= Q) in SPRO
2 Assign TWO MRP Area for your Component (A) MRP view of materla master and assign issue storage location in "MRP 2" view of "MRP Area"
3. Assign issue storage loaction in BOM item for Header Material.(For X iss loc of A= P and For Y issue loc of A = Q)
4.Now run Mrp for your Header Material(X,Y), system will consider stock for A Only from "P" while run MRP for X, Bcz it will consider storage location from MRP area only
Please try and come back. Is it possible to create MRP area for your Component .

Stock transfer between 2 different storage location

Storage Location : S1 S2 under W1
We want MRP can trigger the replenishment between 2 different storage location within same warehouse
but the warehouse is cross 2 plants

40 Stock transfer (proc.from alter.plant)

Movement type for blocking to a different storage location

Is there any movement type by which the stock should move to blocked from unrestricted but to a different storage location. In the mvt type 344, the stock moves from unres to blocked but it is in the same location.

344-Transfer posting blocked stock to unr.-use stock - reversal, is reversal of 343-Transfer posting blocked stock to unrestricted-use stock that TP Block to TP unrestricted.
Better use 343 for transfer posting from Block to Unrestricted.
If the reciveing storage location is not avliable while TP with 343 then goto OMJJ enter 343 movement enter , duble clikc on
Field selection (from 201)/Batch search procedure and then goto Details(Lens) and then in the Select group double click on "Transfer Postings" and then make receiving storage location as req/opt entry and save.
Then try do to TP for different storcge location for same plant with 343. -
QM/MM: Stock transfer from QI to QI in different storage location
Hi Gurus,
I want to transfer a QI stock to QI stock in the same plant but different storage location using MB1B 323 movements. But it has got QM status active. So without taking usage decision it doesn't allow us to move the stock. It needs a special inspection type which allow this transaction.
I dont want to create another inspection lot and dont want usage decision.
Can anyone suggest me the solution?

One SO but I would like Post Goods Issue from different Storage Locations?

I have one SO, Item xzy, Qty = 300 but I would like to Post Goods Issue from different Storage Locations (Qty = 100 for each locations)
E.g I have 3 storage locations: A, B, C and need to assign Post Goods Issue authorizations to 3 users U1, U2, U3:
- U1 can Post Goods Issue from storage location A only (but cannot from B, C)
- U2 can Post Goods Issue from storage location B only (but cannot from A, C)
- U3 can Post Goods Issue from storage location C only (but cannot from A, B)
How can I assign the Authorization for users?
How can I create Outbound Delivery:
a. 1 SO --> 1 outbound delivery --> Post GI 3 times
b. 1 SO --> 3 outbound delivery --> Post GI

1. GO to the following Menu path
Spro>Material Management> Inventory manangement and Physical Inventory>Authorization Management>Authorization check for Storage Location.
Here you have activate authorization tick for storage location and plant combination.

2. Set authorization for Authorization object MM_MSEG_LGO thro Basis for the combination of movement type and storage location
for each user.
--> Done
There are 3 storage locations(A,B,C) in one outbound delivery, and when user 01 tries to Post GI this outbound, it means that the system will Post GI for all line items in this outbound, but user 01 has not authorization for location B, C.
How can user 01 Post GI from only location A in this outbound???
And then user 02 will Post GI from only location B in this outbound,
user 03 will Post GI from only location C in this outbound.

We hope when we receive material, it will receive material by currency into different storage locatio type , Or Could we use mb1b to move mateiral in different storage location type ?

Really appreciated for your help. Currently for same part, we possibily buy it by different currency . Somteimes it's RMB, sometimes it's USD.
We use migo to receive these mateirals , most are in WM module, Some in IM module. Currently, when we receive po, in stock, we only track the qty. but now we hope to find a way if we also could mark the currrency on the same materails.
To provide matierals to production , we still need place the material in on location. Since when we delivery material /componet, we don't care its currency.
So we think if in WM, we could use different storage locaiton type for one location and seperated by different currency ?

Automatic selection of products in a plant but differant storage locations

Here is a requierment from our client that is they maintain differant storage locations based on differant prices however they want automatic selection of products during sales order entry, based on manufacturing date like FIFO comparing differant storage locations with in a plant. if you have come across these scenario and other solutions relate to this

yes, we have come across this. first, your material should be batch managed specifying FIFO. then, inventory/availability search should be plant level instead of storage location level.

Different Storage Location required for RGA
Hi,
My requirement is that whenever Returns is done for SO, different Storage location should default, which is currently not happening.
For ex - Standard Storage location(0001) is determined whenever SO is created but we want that different storage location(say 0096 which is created for Returns) should be determined whenever Returns is created.
For these I have made the following config settings :
Defined 1000(Shipping Point Std) which is assigned to Plant(BPX1)
Also 1100(Shipping Point for Returns) is assigned to Plant(BPX1)
Storage loc (0001- std) is assigned to Plant(BPX1) and warehouse no (BP1)
Storage loc (0096 - for Returns) is assigned to Plant(BPX1) and Warehouse no (BP1)
In OVL3 following settings done:
Shipping Point (1000) , Plant (BPX1) than storage loc - 0001(Std)
Shipping Point (1100) , Plant (BPX1) than storage loc - 0096(Returns)
Still when we are creating returns storage loc 0001 is defaulting in Returns and NOT 0096 (Which is my requirement).
Kindly advise which config settings are still missing to determine 0096 storage loc in RGA.

The business does not want to use MRP areas to segregate materials between service part and production. What they want to do is separate service parts on deliveries at our shipping storage types (915/916) from MRP view. This requirement is primarily for our international shipping area. We may pick parts for an international shipment and the parts will sit on the delivery - not goods issued because we don't want to invoice - for up to 3 months. During that time, MRP sees the inventory so replenishment is not done in a timely fashion or parts may get stolen from the shipment for a production requirement because the inventory is seen.
Could one solution be to create a non-MRP relevant storage location (say 1200) and place the shipping storage types in this storage location? Then when the transfer order creates, the system would show the source to be from the MRP relevant SLoc (1100), stype (130), bin (A-01-A), - these are examples - with the destination to be to non-MRP relevant SLoc 1200, stype 915, bin (dynamic using the delivery number) 0080745298? Has anyone had this type of request or know of a way to satisfy the business requirements without different MRP areas? They also do not want to have two transfer orders - one with a 601 movement and one with a 311 movement.
Any known solutions or outside-the-box thinking would greatly appreciated.

Even a non-MRP relevant storage location can be warehouse managed.
The stock is shown in any stock list as long it is not goods issued, no matter if it is stored in a
non-MRP relevant storage location.
Stock that is picked for a delivery is not available for others, it is reserved. A delivery is a MRP element and hence should be taken into consideration in the planning run.
A non-MRP relevant storage location will only solve your planning issues if you move the material there if it is not yet picked and allocated to a delivery.
Do your thieves really use SAP to check if the stock is there, or do they just see the stock in the warehouse? As said, the non-MRP relevant storage location will not solve this issue since the stock is still visible. -
Report including open purchase order quantity for one storage location

I am looking for a report giving me the total/available stock and the open purchase order quantity for all materials stored in a certain storage location.
I.e. like this:
Plant 0001, storage loc. 01
Material stock open purchase order quantity
100000 200 pcs. 50pcs.
Is there such a report in SAP standard?

This report u can get in 2 different transaction . the n u can combine and create one custom transaction .
One is for materil stock in storage location is MB52 or MB5B
THen ME2N for open PO quantity for that material. -
Sales order same plant different storage location
Hi
We are doing a sale order for a material that is storage in two storage location.
Storage location A:
2 units
Storage location B:
3 units
We did a sale order for 5 material. Stock availability asigned 5 unit in one position of the purchase order. Then the system create just one delivery for 2 units.
Which procedure or customizing we have to do to get two deliveries, one for each storage location.

We need to create two deliveries from one sales order, that have quantities for differents storage locations.
Example:
Sales order A: 5 units
We have, 2 in storage location C and 3 in storage location D under same plant. The storages locations are in differents places, so we need two deliveries, one from C and the other one from D.
I suppose that this situation is normal and occurs in many companies.
So, we have to create a sales order with 2 positions, or the system split the deliveries during deliveries creation?
I think the system should split the positions automatically in the sales order creation.
