MRP run problem in TCode-MD01

hi experts,
There were some MRP controllers were assigned for User exit in SPRO for planning run (T code :- MD01 ). Now i have defined additional MRP controllers and also assigned them for user exit (in SPRO) for planning run.
With old MRP controllers defined as user exits , Planning run is considering materials with only particular MRP controller.
But for these newly defined MRP controllers , user exit is not restricting planning of materials with only particular MRP controller and materials planning is carried out for all materials with newly defined MRP controllers.
please help me out

The name of the extension where you can find the user exit is M61X0001
You have to read the code to find out why it is not working for the new controllers.
Probably the code is not that dynamic as you thought and the controllers are hardcoded ...

MRP running problem

Hi gurus,
When i try to run the total MRP in MD01, i can see that only certain material is being run, and most of it are not run.
So, when i go to MD05 to view the MRP list, i can see that the material is still in old date MRP run date where the stock qty is wrong.
I tried to go to MD02 to run that particular material, then that material is updated accordingly.
Any one has any idea what had happen?
Why when I run in Md01 some material is not picking to be run?

I've check in MR21, i found that planning file entry is there. But i can see some of the material that is not run do not have NETCH set.
How do i make the material as NETCH set so that when i run the MRP in MD01 it can run it as well?
Infact i try to create the planning file thru MD20 the entry is created but most of are not set as NETCH, why it can happen in such a way? (My processing key is NETCH when run MD01)
Does it mean all the materials must have set as NETCH then only it can run the MRP?
But i found some of the material do not have the NETCH set but when i try the total MRP run in MD01 it still can works?
What is the reason behind?

MRP run problem

Hi experts,
During MRP run for a material , open PO quantity is not considered If delivery date mentioned in that open PO exceeds 110 days from planning date(MRP run date). If it is less , it considers open PO quantity.
MRP type = V1 (Reorder point planning)
Lot size = HB
planned delivery time = 0 days
What could be the reason for it? Pls help me out.

When u keep your planning horizon 100 and in MD02 if ur using NETCH planning then system will consider the planning in between 100 days only If your open PO in out of planning horizon then it will not consider for the same.
If u want to do the same u have to go for increase ur planning horizon time in OPPQ.

MDBT : MRP RUN Problem

I have one storeage locaion for which i want to tun MRP run in backgruond .
Now i have cerated MRP area (STORE) as stoarge location asssigne th erespective storge location there.
Now i created scop of planning & i assigne tthat MRP area as "STORE"to scope of planning.
Now cerated varaint as "CONSUMPTION"and in scope of plalning i selcetd the scope of planing as my MRP area and saved the variant .
Now all material under this area are cinsumption baed material means everyone has MRP type as VB, reordre point and lot siza as HB, max lot qty and STORE as MRP area in material master.
NOw in MDBT i selcted the variant and click on start inmmediate i m getting mesage as "Request with variant CONSUMPTION Started"
If i see MD04 til no requirenment is genrtaed with this Run ??
1. Please tel ..where i ned to corect
2. Is there any mesage after background MRP executed ;like in MD02 planning result screen .

Please check whether planning file entry exists in MD21 also check MDAB & MDRE ?
or run program RMMRP000.
Please note With MRP type VB (Manual Reorder Point Planing) system will not consider Dependent requirement or any other reservation.
It will take care about only Reorder point.
If You have set reorder point of 100 Nos.
And dependent requirement is of 35 Nos , and available stock is 90 Nos. then at the time of MRP run system will generate PR of 10 Nos only just to cover that less qty than the reorder point of 100 Nos.So there is nothing wrong in your case.
If you want to concider Dependent requirement also during Planing run then you have to change MRP type VB to PD then check.

MRP Run Problem With Shipment Notification

In MD04 i have 1 shipment Notification,but after MRP Run it should get display in MD05 but in my case it is not happening.CAn anybody tell me the possible causes / reasons why this is happeinig.

Thanks for your reply,even i know Md04 is Dynamic and MD05 is static,also i cant able to clearly understtood what u r telling,
Kindly check whether shipment notification is updated during the 2nd run then it wont reflect in MD05
but when i check the same scenario in Q shipment notification getiing updated but not in prdn.

MRP Run Problem through MDBT

Hi,
We are running the MRP based on MRP controller through Transaction MDBT.
As per SAP threads, We insert the User Exit Key as CB1 & User exit parameters as MRP Controller and click on start immediately.
After result come, we see the output from SP02 transaction.
There all the materials showing with 8 number exception (Terminations), means all the material's having the Deletion Indicator when i am seeing in MARC table against that MRP Controller - CB1.
Please tell me how only deletion material's showing. How other material's will display, which display in MARC table except Deletion Indicator.

STAD to trace combination of User and Tcode, but particular material its diffcult to trace in std sap.
If you want to trace then you need do some enhancements, create customized table (mateial number, plant, date, time, etc) for when user run the mrp in MD02 then save all data's to your own table.

Problem with Back ground MRP Run (MDBT) or MD01

Hello SAP Experts,
Issue :- Material is not considering during Automatic back ground MRP run ( MDBT or MD01)
But when we run MRP in forground (MD02) system is considering the material.
we have checked both the selection parameter are same for MD01 and MD02 .
can you help us on this issue ?

Hi,
Problem is due to entry in Planing File is missing for that Material.
Go to MD21 and check whether Planing File entry is maintain for that Materiel.
If not then maintain it by T.code MD20 (Manual) or you can do it by using back Ground JOB - OMDU.

Problem during MRP RUN.

if i select mixed MRP in the material master with indicator 2 i.e.gross reqirement
for MRP run ,but after taking MRP run through md01 .its not exploding dependent requirement of its component.Is there any setting for this?

Hi,
Check with t.code CS11 & check the result whether BOM is exploding or not.
Then check in t.code OS23, whether mrp exlosion is activated or not.
Check the BOM usage used while creating the BOM.

User exit for MRP run - MD01

Hi All,
Can i know the use of "User exit parameter" field in MD01. as i know it means if we only want to plan the materials of a certain MRP controller, for example, we can enter the key of the appropriate MRP controller as the parameter.
in my scenario, we have already incorporated a user exit for MD01 - MRP Run.
i have 3 MRP controllers, but want to plan for only 2 MRP controllers, then how to enter in that field?

HI,
User exit are available for Md01 transaction. You can plan material by MRP Type, MRP Controller,MRP Type, Procurement type & so on....
Once you activate user exit, you can select the same by drill down option in user exit Key field.

MD01- MRP run in test mode.......

Hi Expets,
My client wants to see the Material and quantity going to be generated by MRP run, so how can I run the MD01 in test mode, in order to view which materials are planned and with what quantity PR is going to be generated before MRP run, Same like in the single level planning MD03 with "Display results before they are saved ".

Problem with MRP running

Hello Gurus,
i have a problem with my product. lets take an example. my semifinished product abc is made up of a, b and c.
i have made them(abc, a, b and c) to use MRP type VB. i made palnning file entry and BOM and then i run the MRP.
I run single item multilevel MRP for semi-finished product abc, it showed me result in MRP running only for abc but not for a, b and c.
can u please tell me where i am making any mistake.

Hi Maggi,
If you have used mrp run for single item,single level planning (ie) md03, it will plan only for that particular material & will not plan for the dependent material in the BOM.
If you run with t.code md02, MRP run for single item,multi level, all the dependent requirements will be planned.
Also VB is for reorder point planning. ie if you maint reorder level as 100 for a,b & c materials & if the stock goes below 100, say 50 Nos. for all the three material. Then procurement proposal(Pur req) will be created for 50 nos for all the material(a,b,c).
If you use MRP type PD, there is no question of reorder level, during mrp run system check the stock of the dependent requirements. If there is a shortage procurement proposal are created.

Alternative BOM problem in MRP run

Hello Experts,
We have two BOM for one material.Now I want to use BOM-1 for MRP run & BOM-2 for subcontracting.I have maintined following settings.
1) Production version.
2) BOM explosion selection method in MRP4 -2
3) Assign PV in inforecord for subcontracting.
4) Assign PV in MD61 in schedule line .
But when I run MRP it still consider subcontracting BOM.Have I missed any setting?

Hi, Follow the below process,
1.Enter the BOM selection method as 2 in the MRP4 view of the material master.
2.In case if you have not assigned the production version in MD61 against the PIR's under schedule line
tab key (in the top menu click on settings and prod version ,then you can assign the prod version which
you need to pick during the MRP run),the system always picksup the first production version during
MRP run even if all the prod versions contains the same validity dates and lot sizes.
3.If you are not willing to assign the prod version in MD61 ,but the system should consider the second
prod version for MRP run means,then set the locked status for the first prod.version.
4.When run MRP via MD02 or MD50 in the simulation mode.(i.e w/o giving tick in simulation mode).
Click on Save,You will get a pop screen,
Now click on the continue icon, Then go to Plaining Results: Individual lines screen.where you will get Plan order on which when double click you will get pop screen below,where you have Planned order no,quantity,plant,storage location,and version.
Now here you can select the required version,and it will become firmed. This BOM will be used in the order now. Try it.

Dates problem in MRP Run

i m running mrp using zpp_md50 is the zprogramme for running the mrp for all the line items in one sales order, after running the MRP, whatever the pur. req. generated we will convert it to PO, but client need one release statergy here so that they can take the assurance from the suppling plant that whatever the date mrp run showing is that plant is really able to supply the goods on that date or not.
1) if suppling plant is not able to send the goods on the requested date in that case receving plant should be able do the amendment (change) in dates in their panning so that they can give the new delivery date to the customer?how to achive this?
2) They also want when we run the MRP, system has to consider the unrestricted stock present for the sales order line item,but without giving the sales order ref. using 412e to sales order.cause their r huge no of line item in sales order.
3) my client is not able to achive the customer date so it is very imp to do the amendment in mrp dates cause the dependacy is on the supplying plant & the suppling plant can produse only taking material grades of the same item at a time & it is not possible for suppling plant to produce as per the delivery date of the order.so the date in master ie. in house production date maintain is not really going to be follow, as the plant is critical, plz suggest some solutions for this also?

It seems that you are selling the product from one plant but manufacturing in another
if suppling plant is not able to send the goods on the requested date in that case receving plant should be able do the amendment (change) in dates in their panning so that they can give the new delivery date to the customer?
This is standard in SAP. Basically, the suppying plant will create a supply element (production order, process order, perhaps in conjunction with a Stock Transport order) to move the parts to the selling plant. Once this element is in place, someone from Sales or another appropriate functional group will re-ATP the sales order. The sales order will then re-confirm against the new, more accurate dates.
They also want when we run the MRP, system has to consider the unrestricted stock present for the sales order line item,but without giving the sales order ref.
This can be achieved easily, by not using a MTO strategy. If you use strategy 40, Sales orders ATP, and all MRP calculations, will make use of all unrestricted stock. If there then is NO sales order stock, then this means that ALL stock is included. Just avoid any MTO strategies throughout your BOM.
There is no standard SAP functionality that will include Sales order stock and unrestricted stock simultaneously for the same part for the same requirement.
my client is not able to achive the customer date so it is very imp to do the amendment in mrp dates....
I am not sure what you are asking for here. You have stated the solution: The supplying plant does their research, and they then create a supply element with the realistic dates. The Sales order ATP check will then re-confirm to those dates. MRP will also run using those modified dates.

Regarding MD01 MRP Run

Dear SAP Gurus,
The issue is PR is getting created for engineering during the MRP run of either Production / Materials. MRP controller for Production is 001 & material is 003 where as MRP controller for Engg. is 004, and we are not running any MRP for engineering items. Somehow PR is getting created for engineering items in the system.

if you haven't mentioned any thing then system willplan for all materials.
if you doesn't want to plan for engineering materials
, then you remove the procurment typa or remove the MRPtype

Vendor not assigned to PR when doing a MRP run

I am doing an MRP run for creating purchase requistions
However the vendor is not getting assigned to the PR.
I have the vendor defined in the source list (made it fixed) and also created info record.
However when i run the MRP the PR is created but the vendor is not assigned to the PR.
Also how can create the PO automatically from the MRP ?
Also where can i see the time frame setting for Processing PR to PO?

I'm faced to the same kind of problem...
The process is an inter-company PR.
The MRP of our plant creates PR for the other plant, these PR are type "MFS" (because of customizing with the tcode OPPR, in order to manage MRP group in the material sheet MRP1)
We have maintained the info-record and the source list, and the extra-purchasing view of the vendor (the plant we send the PR).
When we launch the MRP, the systems creates the PR and we get them in the dynamical status of stock (tcode MD04). In this list, the vendor well appears on the rigth of the screen. So, it seems that the source list is well managed
BUT, when we have a look into the PR (tcode ME53N), the vendor doesn't appear in the source list sheet. :-((
Please, tell me what could be the reason of this stange fact ? (the field is not invisble customized...)
FYI, we get the same result with material without MRP group, and PR type NB
