So I am left with no emails in any inbox, no sent messages, no inbox set up, etc.
Is this information lost for good? Can I import settings from 5 minutes ago? Please help! I'm freaking out, man!

Under some circumstances (e.g. repeated crashes) Mail may discard the current ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist preferences file and create a new one. This file is where all the account settings are stored. As a result, all your non-.Mac account settings (but not the messages themselves) are lost. If you had a .Mac account, its settings would appear to have been preserved because Mail would set up that account automatically using the System Preferences > .Mac settings.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:

After having fixed all the filesystem issues, if any, and ensuring that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), quit Mail if it’s running, and make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, just in case something else goes wrong while trying to solve the problem. This is where all your mail is stored.
You have three options now:
(1) Restore ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist from a backup if you have one. Mail shouldn’t be running while you do this.
(2) Set up your mail accounts again. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don’t. Just enter the account information and Mail will automagically rediscover the data in ~/Library/Mail/ when done. You’ll also have to re-configure most of your settings in Mail > Preferences. For spam-related security reasons, the first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable Display remote images in HTML messages if it’s enabled.
(3) Mail may have renamed the old preferences file to com.apple.mail.plist.saved. If that’s the case, you may try trashing the new com.apple.mail.plist and renaming the old com.apple.mail.plist.saved back to com.apple.mail.plist. Again, be sure Mail isn’t running while doing this. Given the circumstances, I would expect com.apple.mail.plist.saved to be corrupt, but apparently that often is not the case and the settings can indeed be restored by just renaming it back to com.apple.mail.plist.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

I never had problems with my XP laptop to connect to my wireless network on my WRT110 (using Intel Centrino) but my other laptop, a Vostro 1000 used to work when it had Windows XP, now that I've installed Vista it doesn't work anymore, I always get limmited connectivity, not only that but it also drops the internet connection on the router, all other computers wired or not wired loose internet connection, the router also becomes inacessible by wire. I recently installed Windows 7 on a pc that had XP and a Netgear WG311T and the same problem happens, it not only does not acquire an address but kills the router connection, how is that possible?

Would suggest you to try upgrading the firmware of the router & then reset the router in such a way that power light is blinking on the router. Also, try doing a complete network power cycle ie., unplug the power cable from the modem & from the router. Then, plug the power cable to the modem first once the lights are solid green you could plug the power cable to the router & then your issue will be resolved.

That procedure eventually leads you to the need to restore it.
Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Who knows what additional problems may be run into by switching mainboards & such. The OS would have to be reinstalled fresh, etc. Money wise, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to invest more into a system that is rather outdated. The small performance gain making the switch to another board using the CPU you have, just doesn't really make much sense, especially if what you have now is completing the tasks asked of it. Save up some money, set it aside for a future build. There are plenty of new platforms in the works.

In my sent box, the "From" field says the accout I selected, but all recipients say they receive it from a different account. I set my composing preferences "send new messages from" to the main account, but all my mail is still being sent from a different account. I cannot see that this is happening, only people receiving it can. I noticed it because when they reply, it goes to a different account than what I sent to them. I just checked to see if the update to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 solved any of the issues outlined in my previous post, and to my dismay, nothing has changed -- all of the previous problems persist.
My iMac (8) -- it's renamed itself eight times since the recent troubleshoot with the Apple tech rep -- shows up as a shared device in Finder on my MacBook Pro, but when I click on it, I cannot establish a connection using "Connect As". So I've attempted to connect using the menu "Go/Connect to Server...", using both (alternately) the iMac's name and IP address, to no avail. I get a message which reads: "There was a problem connecting to the server 'Peter's iMac (8)'. This server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
Here's what I know:
The server -- Peter's iMac (8) does exist;

The server name -- Peter's iMac (8) -- is correct, as specified in the system sharing preferences;

The network connection is active when I attempt to connect.

If the crash started right after you added RAM, it could be a bad Ram dimm. You can try this - change the amount of RAM in Photoshop to 4G, this should stop Photoshop from using the higher ram. If it doesn't crash, it's probably the ram. Or run a diagnostic app. You don't say when it crashes, what you're doing when it crashes - it there a pattern? Did it ever work on this computer? Did it work on your previous computer? Without a lot of data, it could be related to the new computer... What OS version? Did you recently update it? Have you updated Photoshop to the most recent update?
Do you have any plug-ins loaded? Try restarting Photoshop, and immediately press & hold the shfit key to turn off plug-ins.

If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:
Disabled Recovery-must use syncing computer.
Otherwise y will have to restore and thus erase the iPod
You can restore from backup
If not in backup then:
- If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Firefox crashes when I load any youtube video on the latest version, it not only crashes firefox but my whole computer goes blank and I have to restart, why is this?

Backstory: There are two possible events that could be causing this
1: At some point I may have followed a ''Tinyurl' link that consquently lead me to a youtube video, to which youtube worked perfectly fine before hand, and this is where i witnessed the first crash. Theories into whether this link, previously stated, may have done something to my system have been thought about, but the fact that youtube still works on the latest Microsoft Internet Explorer seems to present the idea of a virus or an error redundant. I own the latest Macfee antivirus software and Ccleaner(running the registry check) and have run them complete with disc defragment and scan disc error recovery along with an additional malware scanner. Nothing seems to have come up on anything. After doing all this, my last resort was System restore and this seemed to solve the problem, mainly because i had an earlier version of firefox. therefore i resisted updating for aslong as possible whenever it told me to update. but the otherday i thought i'd risk it again thinking it may have been a problem alot of people have been having and it would of been fixed, but sadly it hasn't. this lead me to google the problem and was advised to start firefox on 'safe mode' as there may have been a confliction between add ons or plugins with youtube or some thing like that, but sadly that hasn't worked either. The plugins i had installed with it were the ones firefox has told me to get, or recommended and the only two addons i had on firefox was Adblock plus (fanboy subscrip) and Noscript.
Details of what actually happens: go to a youtube link, video loads for about 2 seconds(both video and audio), screen freezes, and flashes maybe once with some small lines across the bottom half of the screen horizontally towards the right corner, then the screen goes blank and makes my laptop dorment, but still running, thus I restart my system.
Sadly now when I system restore there isn't a point far back enough before this problem. So its either i downgrade(which seems to be the only option) or simply stop using firefox, as internet explorer works perfectly fine. however running firefox with no scrip and adblock plus is the ideal browser customisation, which is why this is rather annoying.
so number 1 was the tinyurl theory and i must admit i was abit foolish to follow such a random link, but whats happened has happened.
2: basically there is a major disfunction with the latest firefox that has to with the addons i have included onto firefox and this seems to be causing a terrible effect on my system.
in a nutshell: firefox worked perfectly before upgrading to the new firefox and before i followed this link, the rest of my system is completely normal and virus and error free or so it says, Other browsers seem to work also. safe mode does not cure the problem.
Running on a customised Dell laptop, which is pretty midrange-toprange and hasn't been active long, so it has the general HD video card thats included in all Studio 15 Dell laptops.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

Mac Mail not working, crashing continually on opening

Processor 2.8 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB memory upgrade 3rd party sticks
I have been using Mail on my imac since I had it 5 years back. A few months back I updated reluctanly to this 10.7 OS as all my old programs were becoming obsolete.
Recently the mail application started going slow, stalling when downloading from the icloud, then started crashing on opening. I do have several thousand emails which I dont want to lose so I archived them in the icloud. But there are folders in the Mail application in the 'On my Mac' part which I need to keep also.
So I have been using time machine to reload mail as it was before the crashing started - the program would work OK for a few days then start its nonsense again.
So another step back in time and 4 hours later I have mail working again, but again it starts crashing again. Each time it crashes it sends a report to apple - is this just a waste of time or does any person read those reports?
So I have time machined about four times now and am wondering is there any body out there who has a better solution for me. If you do I would appreciate it especially if its a simple way and is explained explictily without me having to learn a programming language.

As no one has come forth with any answers I did an expeiment.
Archived every email into icloud, then I took all accounts offline in mail.
Left computer switched on overnight.
Made a small sacrifice.
Maybe some magic pixie got into my computer but bizarely enough this seems to have fixed it and mail is downloaded and can be sent - even though its still switched to all accounts offline, how does that happen???????
Been fine for several days now, no more crashes, no more cocking about with time machine and I can access my 3000 plus old emails that I moved to archive.

Whenever I use the view source feature, the pane does not only show the HTML, but it also pastes in all Javascripts which are in an external file. On top of that all the indents are gone making it pretty much unreadable.
I have this issue with every single site I try to view the source of. I turned of and uninstalled all add-ons. Started up in safe mode. But nothing seems to work. I had this in firefox 3.6 and upgraded to 4 hoping it would solve it but it doesn't.

If you have the problem in three different browsers, it suggests something "upstream" or shared at the system level, since each has a separate cache and Safari/Chrome use Webkit, not Gecko, as their rendering engine.
Is it possible that all the source views use a font which has become corrupted? In Firefox you could test that theory by changing your Monospace font here:
Edit > Preferences > Content > (Fonts & Colors section) Advanced button
If that doesn't help, do you browse through a proxy server either on your Mac, your network, or out on the internet? Sometimes a security scanner has an embedded proxy server.
