Whats the right bios for the cards?
Can someone point me to the right and latest rom plz
thx

Use the attached for your cards.
Then unpack the provided archive (330.rar) and put the included file (TV277MH.330) on that stick.
Rename TV277MH.330 to 330.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 330.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

  • What is the right bios for Satellite A100-749?

    Hi
I bought a A100-749 (PSAARE) in France and I would like to update a firmware. I found a firmware version 5.90 for model PSAAR (there is no PSAARE so i think this model match) and inside the archive there are two files:
    s10pm590.rom
    s10pm590.rom
    Which firmware should i use?
In following thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=24979 it is written that choosing wrong file freezes ;laptop on toshiba screen.
    Thanks

no, you are wrong, download the firmware for psaar and look what is inside the archive, there is a flasher (WinPhlash.exe) and after execution you need to specify the rom file, inside archive there are two roms mentioned above, the flasher don't choose the file automatically, you have to do it manually
there is also another exe file (SA10Flash.exe - probably this is a flasher, WinPhlash.exe is just a graphical interface) and using it also you have to specify a rom file
someone told me that s10gm590.rom is for Intel 945GM chipset (with graphic card built-in) and s10pm590.rom for Intel 945PM chipset (without graphics). it means that for my laptop s10pm590.rom is correct
    is it right?

  • MSI Barebone: Unlocked BIOS for graphics upgrade

    Hello Svet,
I'm currently using a Medion Erazer x6823 which is basically a MSI MS-16F33 Whitebook that is equipped with a 670MX.
Now I'm planning on upgrading to a 780m and after some research I found out that I will need to flash the E16F3IMS.51X BIOS to enable my Laptop to run newer graphics cards. Currently I have the E16F3IM7.50M BIOS running on my notebook. However all the time I try to flash the new BIOS I get the following error:
I thought that you may be able to help me as the people in the German MSI-forum seem to run out of ideas what could be wrong. Maybe you are able to provide me with a unlocked BIOS that allows me to flash it directly or a modified version of the 50M Bios that would me allow to flash the 51X afterwards?
If you need any more information please let me know.

  • BIOS for windows 7 ASUS P5BW-LA BASSWOOD HP Compaq 775 MotherBoard

I am building a new computer with a (HP/Compaq name: Basswood-UL8E ) P5BW-LA (Basswood) motherboard , CPU/Processor Socket: 775, chipset Intel P965 with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6x00 with Dual Core technology (Conroe)  installed on motherboard. I am new to this and need help in finding the latest BIOS for a 32 bit system running windows 7 Ultimate. (Hopefully) I have no idea where to start.
I have the motherboard and put the conroe intel chip in as well as the heatsink fan also a 600 watt power supply and 8 GB kingston 240 pin DDR  DIMM x4 @ 2 Gb each. As specified on the data sheet for the motherboard.
How do I find the right BIOS for the above as well as how to install all from scratch.
Any help would be highly appreciated
    Regards (NOOBIE) to any helpers.
P.S What is: Two additional PCI when using an optional PCI extender card. and what do I ask for to get a PCI to  a PCI x16 into the extention socket.

BIOS is cross platform firmware. The downside of using the mobo  is that there is no newer BIOS than the original one under Windows XP.  That motherboard was installed in the HP Pavilion  d4600y and is a good source for reference information.
Download the chipset software for Windows 7 32-bit from Intel.  That will be your only option as there is no Windows 7 support for the  P5BW-LA BASSWOOD  motherboard at HP.
Use the chipset identification software from Intel  Your motherboard has the Intel P965 chipset. The disk controller chip(?) and the audio chip (Realtek ALC885). The southbridge chip is the Intel ICH8DH. The LAN solution is the Intel 82562V chip.

  • BIOS for 694D Pro V1.0 [MS-6321] WHICH ONE? HELP?

Motherboard says 694D Pro V1.0. Board has Promise ATA 100 Raid Controller and sound.
BIOS version displayed on BOOT is W6321MS V3.0 092900
{I upgraded BIOS successfully initially as Windows XP would not load without the BIOS upgrade.
System is running fine except that it just doesn't seem to like any Adaptec SCSI card I put in it [Card and System says everything is fine but devices don't work well at all.
And to complicate matters, I've got a USB 2.09 card in it and a SIIG PCI ATA 133 card in it too.
On boot I get the following errors in the SYSTEM Event log
AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address (0xcf8), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.
AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0xcfc), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.
Your computer was not able to renew its address from the network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 00D0B720C465.  The following error occurred:
The semaphore timeout period has expired. . Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.
The NEC PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.
The NATCAP service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
So, first I upgraded the BIOS on the SIIG PCI ATA 133 IDE card and this appeared to go away. but it camr back. Suspecting the SCSI card I tried another one and even removed it, still the same errors.
So I went for the motherboard BIOS upgrade as w6321vms.370 indicates it corrects an ACPI error in Windows XP.
Problem is, the flash BIOS app says this is not the right BIOS for my board.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT BIOS IS?? Or have a clue?
    HELP!

The easy part: The ACPI error messages turn out to be Microsofts's way of dealing with older motherboard BIOS that use AMLI direct hardware reads and writes. In XP the came up with _OSI The error message is a non event. XP blocks the read or write and all is OK as XP does what the read or write was trying to do.
So, to make it co away, [cosmetic] one needs a BIOS upgrade and we're back to the question....WHICH BIOS IS RIGHT FOR THIS MOTHERBOARD? {So many BIOS choices, so little clear information.....]
The other NAVCAP boo-boo looks like innocous garbage like the errors you get when you try to remove Real player 8 and it fails.
RAID controller is active and working. SIIG ATA133IDE controller is active and working. NEC USB is active and working inspite of the error message. No SCSI card in right now but it wasn't working before. [That could be a whole 'nother problem though.]
MORE IDEAS? KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHICH BIOS IS WHICH?
    and thanks for the input.

  • Looking for Bios for MSI 945P Platinum (MS-7176) Version 1.00

Since the msi site doesn´t let me download the original bios of my motherboard, I was wondering if anyone knew how to download the original bios for this motherboard, or should I just make a backup of my current bios and that´s it?

    Quote
because my computer reports that it has version 6 since the last update last year
There is no such thing as "version 6" for your board.  Whatever info your looking at that tells you something about "version 6" has most likely nothing to do with your actual BIOS Version.  Version 6 probably indicates the AWARD BIOS Code Base used for the BIOS (and if that is the case, it will be version 6 for all BIOS Releases for your board).
On the Post Screen, look for the string "W7176IMS Vx.y".  The numbers that you will see in the place of X and Y indicate your current BIOS Version.
    Quote
And suddenly it started acting weird lately.
A BIOS does not suddenly become faulty and start acting weird.  If whatever problems you have started to occur only recently and not right after the BIOS Update, these are most probably not BIOS issues.  I strongly suggest to leave the BIOS alone for now (well, find out which version you currently have) and explain the weirdnesses you are facing in more detail.  Looks like they are caused by something else.  Please also provide full system specs. Read the >>Posting Guide<< first.

And yes, the liveupdate utility just doesn´t work
Great. It should not be used for BIOS Update anyway because it tends to crash and thereby render systems useless.
