MSP Document Download

Hi,
I am creating a BAPI in which I am calling MSP download function module.
Then I called GUI_DOWNLOAD function module to download the MSP data.
I am getting sy-subrc = 0 and the file got downloaded but was blank.
Guess mapping issue.
Please help me to resolve the same.

Safari > Preferences > General > Save downloaded files to:
Click inside the box.
Default is "Downloads" folder.
Click "Other" to choose another location.

If a PDF file is password protected, the only way to open that document is with the password. You will have to get that password from the person who created the PDF.

Set default Documents & Downloads folder to external USB Drive?

I use both a MacPro and MBP and would like to have the system folders Documents & Downloads defaulted to my USB external drive. How do I go about changing the location? Thanks.

Plug the drive in
Copy your folder to the external drive
Before you proceed, make sure all your files are there and intact
Navigate to <your user name> in the sidebar and delete the original folder from there
Go to the external drive, right click on the folder and make an alias
Drag this alias to <your user name> directory then rename it by removing the "alias" from the end if you wish
Don't forget to check Safari etc. is pointing to the new alias folder
Notes:
You can try this on a blank folder first to make sure it works
<your user name> folder is in your <Boot Drive>/Users/ folder
If you boot up without the drive attached you'll get an "Alias could not be found" error when trying to open the folder.
If you're terminal savvy this could be done the same way by a softlink to your directory on the external drive once you've copied it over.

Changing documents downloaded from CRM into ECC, in ECC

Our requirement is to change documents downloaded from CRM into ECC, in ECC. I was refering to note 541113, but it is not of much use as we are using CRM 5.0. Also parameter that it says should be set I have set but ...obviously it didin't work. Please tell me what setting needs to be done for CRM 5.0 & ECC 6.0 so that our requirement is satisfied. I have searched SAP notes, without much success.

This is very simple.
SAP has provided us with a new Scenario. this is called Scenario A.
This scenario can be made Transaction Type specific.
You need to maintain table SMOFPARSFA in CRM and CRMPAROLTP in R3.
SMOFPARSFA:
Key = R3A_SALES
ParamName = INT_CHANGE_ORDER
ParamName2 = <Transaction Type>
ParamValue = A
CRMPAROLTP:
ParameterName: CRM_SCENARIO
ParameterName 2: INT_CHANGE_ORDER
ParameterName 3: <sales document type>, for example TR
ParameterValue 1: A
Just do these settings and check. This must work

Documents download from CRM systems

Hello friends,
In our prj requirement, we have to download data from CRM systems.
where even we have to download documents for each item level.
we identified some tables which stores those attachments.
but my doubt is how to put these attachments in BW system at item level.
i am lost here kindly give me some inputs.

Gnome predefined places like Documents, Downloads, Videos, etc

Hi,
In distributions like openSuSE, Ubuntu, Fedora there are some predefined places in you home forlder ( Documents, Download, Music, Videos ) with cool icons. How can I easily do that in Arch?
I know that I can create those directories, drag them into nautilus places bar, set the icons for them, but it is long and needs to be redone for every user. Is there a way to make it global?
I have also an openSuSE installaltion, I can copy files from there if it is necessary.

All files in /etc/skel are put in new users' home directories so you can add the folders there.
Edit ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs (or /etc/skell/.config/user-dirs.dirs for all new users).

Documents, Downloads, Pictures, etc Folders Invisible for Mobile Accounts

For some reason, when any user navigates to their home directory, most of the subfolders (Applications, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Library, Movies, Music, Pictures, & Public) are invisible. It's not consistent which ones can be seen: one user can see Library and Desktop, while another can see only Library. It is possible to navigate to any of the folders with the Go to Folder item in Finder's Go menu. Here are the results from listing everything in my own home directory (ls -l@):

Library and New Folder are the only ones I can see in Finder. All of the invisible ones have extended attributes, but, oddly, when I navigated to one of the invisible folders in Finder and Get Info on it, there is no "invisible" checkbox in the General settings.
Here is some more info on the network setup:
Network is a Golden Triangle: our OS X server is bound to the Active Directory domain, and each client is bound both Open Directory and AD (OD has higher precedence in search policy). Network accounts are created in AD with the home folder at //osxserver.domain.local/Network Users/username (mapped to drive X:\ or Z:\ for Windows users). Accounts are imported into OD, which (through policy on each user's group) creates a mobile account at login (no prompt) using the network profile and syncs at login, logout, in background and manually. The client-side AD plugin does not force local home directories, derives network home from UNC path in AD (using AFP), and allows administration by domain admins; all other settings are default.
Any help in making all folders visible would be greatly appreciated.

Intercept Sharepoint Document Download Event

Hi all the good people here,
I need to intercept the action of download/view for all the documnets in a Document Library. According to certain security policy, I need to modify the document headers so that, when it is downloaded, the dowcument is protected.
Is there any event in MOSS 2007 or WSS 3.0 to do so?
Also I need to intercept all the means to open/download the documents in that library.
E.g. 1) Document can be downloaded by clicking on the link in the List.
2) It can be viewed using the Office 2007 Client. etc.
Plese let me know about any event that I can handle.

I’m afraid that you cannot trap the document download event, since there is no such event in List/Library.
You can, however, build your own FieldType to check the credential of a user, and provide download link if he/she suffices.

Documents downloaded cannot be opened by Microsoft Office 2013

Hi,
I've downloaded Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 recently. However, I cannot open downloaded files (be it excel, word, ppt etc) from the internet and a notification appears telling me to look for an app in the appstore.
I am currently using Windows 8. I've tried going to Control Panel>Programs and Features> Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013> change, but there isnt a repair option and it only tells me to uninstall Office 2013.
I've also tried referring to other similar threads, but I either don't understand or it does not seem applicable.
I am not very good with the computer technicalities, and this is causing my work to pile up as I cannot work on my laptop now. I hope for a simplistic and detailed solution. Can someone please help?

Hi,
Does this only happens to those files downloaded from the internet? Try with a document that created and saved in your local disk and see what happens.
It looks like the file types didn't get associated with your Office applications. You might need to right click the file and choose "Open with...", choose the right Office application to open that file and see if it works.
If it works with the right click action, then you might need to set your default program for all Office applications under:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Default Programs

BSP & DMS Document Download

Hi All,
I'm developing a BSP which can download a folder with documents present in SAP's DMS, to c:\temp.
At the moment I use the EasyDMS function "Z_EASYDMS_FOLDER_EXPORT".
During development, it worked fine because I was going through the program in debug mode. Therefor, the SAPHTTP can connect with the SAP gui.
But when running "normallly" (not in debug), the program runs in error. It turns out that the SAPHTTP (nor SAPFTP) cannot connect and thus the documents cannot be downloaded.
I also tried to use call functions: CVAPI_DOC_CHECKOUTVIEW, SCMS_HTTP_GET_FILE and HTTP_GET_FILE, but all with no result. I also tried to call SAPFTP & SAPHTTP directly via "SYSTEM_START_REG_SERVER" and via the build of a command and the function "RFC_START_PROGRAM".
Again, with no result. The BSP runs in an error (HTTP 500 internal server error).
As this is an urgent development, help would be very much appreciated!!!

Please follow the steps to Download a file from DMS or Display in Browser.
1. Call BAPI 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETDETAIL2'

You need to pass PF_FTP_DEST as SAPFTPA as we are calling this FM from Browser not SAP GUI and if you dont pass this value then the FM errors out because it doesn't find SAP GUI.
3. Now call SCMS_DOC_READ to get the Binary Data of the File.

IT_SDOKCNTBIN is the Binary Data Table of the file you want to download.
Now you have the binary file data which you can write on Application Server or Convert it to XSTRING and show in a web dynpro application. I am not sure how to display in BSP.

Document download folder is appearing each time we print and would like to change that setting so it does not default to that.

We are running a software application and using Firefox as the default browser. For printing we have set the default to Adobe PDF due to some printing requirements for the documents we use. We print a lot of documents and each time we have to the Download history window appear and we have to close or minimize that. Is there a way to change the default settings for that not to appear or to eliminate that functionality?

With the change in Firefox 20 from the old Download Manager to the new Download Panel, I thought you would only get the automatic appearance one time: for the first download on the new system, so you could see the connection between the arrow on the toolbar and the download panel. Have you overridden the new panel and gone back to the old dialog?

DMS Display Original Document download in Temp

I have the requirement in SAP DMS (GUI), whenever i display the document from CV03N tcode, the original file is download in to my Temp folder in the background in EAI viewer as well as separate WSapplication options.
Whether it is possible to control (without download in client system) it. If it is possible throw some light on this.

Dear Bala.c,
please note that the standard system logic concerning the path for
temporary files is working the following way:
1. It will first see the settings for the front end type the user has
maintained in transaction DC20. If a path is maintained there, this path
will be used first to place the temporary file.
2. If no path is maintained in DC20, the Temporary File Path (Windows
Temporary File Path) is used.
(e.g. C:\Dokuments and Settings\<User>\Local settings\Temp)
3. If this "Temp" folder does not exist, the SAP GUI Work Directory is
used (Alt+F12).
So I would recommend you to maintain a path where the temporary file is
placed in transaction DC20 for each frontend type (e.g. C:\Temp\). For
further information please see also our online documentation under
http://help.sap.com.
If you want to avoid that the temporary copy remains on your PC please check
SAP Note 741388 which explains how to set the OLE2 flag.

Excel documents downloading as CSV

During the past week, I downloaded some files from websites using Firefox. (i.e., a list of bank account info & list of insurance claims)
For some reason, they have started saving as csv documents instead of Excel. They open in Excel but when I try to save, I receive this error message:
file name.csv may contain features that are not compatible with CSV (comma delineated). Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?
Regardless of what option I choose, the information will not save in Excel.
Is there a way to make these files download as an Excel document instead of .csv? Under Options, .csv doesn't show up in Applications File Type.

The file type that downloads is controlled by the server?
However there are a number of third party sites that can convert a csv to an exel file type (google drive Import csv, then save as excel and [https://support.office.com/en-za/article/Import-or-export-text-txt-or-csv-files-5250ac4c-663c-47ce-937b-339e391393ba office] ) but it varies with formatting as well.

Can't see files in document / downloads folder on dmg disk image

So my last update OSX 10.6.8 crapped out and i couldnt boot the system anymore... So i decided to install a new system, before i did that i backed up my whole HDD with disk utility into a compressed DMG file. I went ahead and installed OSX 10.7 new mounted the DMG file, problem is i can't see any files in my document or in my downloads folder anyone has a solution for this or know what causes this problem. Please let me know.

The Finder is a bit lackadaisical about updating itself, you can click back & forth enough times, closing folders, opening folders and eventually it'll be in touch, or you can try something like "A Better Finder Attributes", for it's "force the Finder to update stale information about your files" feature.
