MSS: Cost Center in Team Viewer

I'm trying to add Cost Centres to the Team Viewer. I put 'ORG_COSTC' with Function Module HRWPC_GEN_COL_COSTCENTER into V_TWPC_ACOL_C and assigned the column group to my view. I managed to get the Cost Centre column to show up on the Team Viewer but the employees Cost Centres are blank. The employees in question all have Cost Centre info in IT0001 but it doesn't show up. Is ORG_COSTC the correct field to be using?

Hello Cara,
After more discussion with the client, they said that providing them with the Org Unit name would be better than the Cost Centre. In order to do this, I used the column 'FATHER2' in the Object and Data provider.
Unfortunately, I never did figure out how to get the Cost Centre into the Team Viewer. I tried checking the function module as well and couldn't return any values so you are further than me.
Can you get other columns to appear in the Team Viewer?

Cost Center not appearing in FAGLL03

Dear Forum,
We have come accross a peculiar situation. The GL Document is posted using the Non-Statistical Order as well as Cost Center. However, when we veiw the Expense GL Account using the T Code FAGLL03, we cannot see the Cost Center, but can view the Profit Center. But when we view the Exepnse GL Account using the T Code FBL3N we can see the Cost Center. What could be the reason for this? Is it becuase of the use of internal Order in the document? This abnormal behaviour is being observed only in case of document with Internal Order and not in case of other documents posted with Cost Centers but without Internal Orders. What do we need to check to understand this behaviour?
Would appreciate your help in this regard.

Employee search in MSS Team view

Hi,
Our requirement is to add a new criteria (employee by cost center) to the search criteria drop down in MSS Team view.
I have done the following steps in Object and Data provider node in spro-
u2022     Define rules for object selection
u2022     Define object selection
u2022     Define organizational structure views
u2022     Group organizational structure views
The new criteria is now visible in the dropdown, but on selecting the dropdown value no fields for input of cost center are displayed. Are there any settings that need to be done to define the input fields? If yes, what are these settings and where do I do them?

Now I see the problem. And I dont think it is possible.
I recoment you to look at class CL_HRWPC_SEARCH_VIA_SELID. This class used by MSS for employee search. You can see it in IMG Define object selection. Copy and try modify it or find ther class you can use. I hope will work without any modification in NWDS.
All I did was definition rules for object selection where I put my FM for object selection. I did not enter any values the searsh was in the FM.

MSS different cost center by approved time sheet

Hello,
In Table CATSDB seen we the results from time entry. The fields Send cost center and receiver cost center. An employee has an standard costcenter as masterdata. When this person works a couple of hours on a cost center that differs from his standard (master data), he giving in the cost center were he works on. Every thing is ok in ESS.
In MSS in the team viewer this person belongs to a team. Bij the approval of time sheets he displays standard (master data) and the u2018differentu2019 cost center. This situation we want to avoid. The u2018differentu2019 cost center is somebody else his responsilibility.
I try something with Cost center responsility. Can someone help me?

I have the same requirement where i have to default the Sending cost center and Actiivty type from infotype 315 in the CAT2 sending cost center and activity , but in the cats profile defaults section i have kept the Cost Center and acitivyt type checboxes being checked , still iam not getting the values of the 0315, please could you let me know how to default the values in cat2.

Block payroll data from cost center for all users except HR team

Could any body please advise me how can I restrict some HR data in cost center view from FICO,CRM,SRM and other team,
Now when other team see cost centers it display all data booked there but my client want to restrict some HR data from them
In my project there are 151 roles that can display cost center dat including HR data,
Now my requirment is how can I restrict only HR data belongs to a cost center
I mean to say they should be able to see all cost center data exept a cost center containing HR data.
Please advise how to get solution

Cost center wise comparison between FI view and CO view

Hi,
I have one doubt regarding comparison of cost center in FBL3N and in in S_ALR_87013611.
Is there any report in from which I can compare Cost center wise actual spending in FBL3N versus some reports in CO?
I would appreciate if someone help me on this.

Hi Bhargav,
If I am not wrong you are taking about the comparison of cost centres values in Co to Cost centre Values in FI.
If this is the case, then its a pain compiling the values. Because, when values flow from FI to CO then dont come to one cost centre, they are spread accross various cost centres where they are incurred.
For Example : You may debit P&S GL account for 10000, but the cost centres involve this expenditure this can be from different cost cetres like from Finance, Marketing, Retail etc.
Now if you want to compare the cost ccentre values with the FI and COthen you can imagine the work and time involved in it.
Let me know if anyone have any different views on this.

Cost center empty in general ledger view for balance sheet accounts

Hi !
We are implementing ECC6 with new GL functionalities. We activated differents scenarii: cost center, profit center and segment.
Using FB03 (display document) we noticed that in the entry view, everything is fine: cost center, profit center and segment are filled successfully.
However, in the New GL view, the cost center is not filled for balance sheet accounts.
Any solution?

Cost center will never be filled for the Balance Sheet account. For Balance sheet account Profit Center is required to be filled.
Don't be afraid this is the fundamental practice across the globe. Cost centers will be filled in only Expense account.
Exception to above rule is Asset master will recieve cost center because this will help in determining asset per department.

MSS PCR Team viewer Not working Poeperly when nodata available

We have implemented MSS Business package for Nw04 Sp18 portal and ERP2004 system.
When using PCR team viewer list, we observed strange problem.
We have created 4 views in r/3 side using OADP img .all the views are displaying data correctly ,when each view has data available at back end, for any view if doesn't have data its showing previous view data instead of showing "no data found".
But its working fine in QA portal, in DEV system we found this strange behavior. We compared all the config b/w two systems, not able to find the problem. Any one has any suggestions most welcome.

Not sure that I understand the issue here - are you saying that there are directly reporting employees who are not appearing in MSS unless the manager has SAP_ALL authorisation? Are you also using HR structural authorisations?
You do know how the standard "Direct Reporting" view in MSS is supposed to work? As in, which employees you should be expecting to appear?
The "Direct Reports" option uses an evaluation path called MSSDIREC, which references a relationship called B900 "Manager under manager". Relationship B900 uses program RHDIREPO to find the relevant objects.
For us at least, the standard "Direct Reports" only returns (1) employees in the same Org Unit as the manager, (2) employees in subordinate Org Units that do not have an occupied Chief position, and (3) managers (i.e. Chiefs) in subordinate Org Units.

Can MSS Team Viewer for HR Users to See All Org?

Our company has modified R/3 MDT scenario that specially give HR users to display all org structure and run reports through PPMDT. We're now implmenting MSS 60.1, backend ESS 5.0, after configured the objects and data provider that's derived from MDT evalution path, we can not overwrite the team viewer that can give HR user to have full access to entire org structure view. Is MSS team viewer only limited to line manager who has chief position? Or can it be configured to adopt both line manager and special HR users? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Helen,
being chief is a pre-req for MSS..You can create custom function modules & evaluation paths to bring in different levels of employees in to the Team Viewer.. but cannot give access to a special user... one has to be a chief of an Org Unit to get access to MSS..

We have implemented MSS 60.1 in Enterprise Portal SR1. We have customized reports for Manager screens in R/3. We published the reports as IAC in EP. My Question is whether we can integrate the customized report with Team Viewer such that manager will select the per no from team viewer iview and IAC view will reload the report for that Per no.

You can probably do it using the PCD page or PCD service options in the Column Definition of Object & Data Provider in the backend(SIMG_SPORT).

Team viewing in MSS

Hi gurus,
in MSS
Team view should only display the direct reportees of the person who is viewing it.
For example: If Manager wants to view the list of employees who has applied for leave to him he should only be ableto see his reporteelist and not his peers or the entire HR departments leave.

i have customized the standard evaluation path SBESX by adding
S B 002 Is Line supervisor of * S
and created two rule groups
Zteamview -- rule for team view- org unit( i have used SAP_MANG evaluation path)
Zteamview1 -- rule for team view- target object(i Have used ZSBESX Evaluation Path)

MSS - Customize Team View

Hello,
We are implementing MSS on Portal and trying to hide/remove fields in the MSS - Team View Application under Home.
When a manager views the employees in the Team View, and selects the 'Open Detailed Team View' link at the bottom he can drag/select employees and do a comparison. On the Comparison screen , I want to hide/remove fields for Talent Data.
How can we achieve this?
Any help would be highly Appreciated.

Cost Center not flowing in the GL view

Hi Friends,
The users have made the entries in the system and defined the Cost centers in the respective fields, while posting the documents. However, when we run the GL Report thru FAGLL03, we notice that the Cost Centers do not get displayed in the Report. On further checking the documents posted we find that the cost centers are maintained in the 'Entry View' but these do not flow to the GL view. This is resulting in the values not getting picked up in the Report Painter Form which is based on the table FAGLFLEXT. How can we chek and waht needs to be done on the config side to enable the values to be flown in the GL view as well and get maintained in the table FAGLFLEXT.

As advised by Guarav earlier, the cost center scenario has been maintained and in the GL Cost center field has also been included. But still the cost center is not displayed in the GL view.
Is there anything else to be checked in this case.

MSS Team View evaluation path for non chief positions (s-s)

We have a problem with display of employees under non chief manager - reporting managers (connection A002). In our organization we have line managers and under them team managers who are leading team of employees. Those managers want to see their employees under MSS Team View iView.
I have checked forum posts and try to create correct evaluation path but i didn't get results yet. I have created 2 evaluation paths:
Z_MANG (copy of SAP_MANG):
10 *     B 008      S
20 S    B 002      S
30 US A 208 P
Z_S-S (copy of MSSDIREC):
10 S A 002     S
20 S A 008     P
30 S A 008     US
I also included them into rules so:
Root rule (rule 1) - Z_MANG
Target rule (rule 3) - Z_S-S
I have also done customizing under Object and Data provider and if I choose standard evaluation paths (e.g. SAP_MANG and MSSDIREC), I get employees shown - if I give manager a hat (A012 connection).
Could you please help me with advice, where am I wrong? I think that first evaluation path (Z_MANG) is ok and it finds non chief manager, maybe is a problem with second one that don't show employees?

My first suggestion was either use Bottoms-up approach or top-down dont use both..like either use either of below
S A 002 Reports (line) or
S B 002 Is line supervisor
but figured u will still have depth issues..so therefore
you cld experiment like below..i understood your requirement, and i am suggesting this totally off-hand thats on top of my head..as i said experiement doing this way..
say you have four levels why dont you use different evalutaion path to link them between each level..
say 1st to 2nd (reports to A002)
      2nd to 3rd (subordinate to A005)
      3rd to 4th/4th to 3rd (Is line supervisor B 002 )etc
this way you will not have the depth issue as each one is diffeent Ev path..
...oops i can see people laughing at this solution..but well..i tried!

MSS Team View change Bizcard Text

We are implementing MSS Team View on Portal. And want to change the Home No. text in the Bizcard displayed when the Manager hovers over the employee.

there is a customizing activity where you should be able to change the text.
Go to Personnel Management --> Manager Self-Service (Web Dynpro ABAP) --> Organizational Chart Visualization --> Configure Organizational Chart Visualization
If you don't have any customer specific entries, the standard customizing can be found under "Check standard organizational chart configuration"
Select the MSSBIZVIEW entry
Go to the structure MSS_EMP_HIER:
And then to the MSS_TMV_BIZ_NAV navigation field group (as you want to change communication settings here)
If you then open the navigation fields, you should be able to edit the text that is shown:
