Hi ESS/MSS Experts
we are implementing Record working time in your current portal, we have the following requirements can some body pls help.
manager approve working time -> what are the UWL capabilities in terms of Manager approving working times, I believe Manager is having a approve working time workset we can utilize that but client wants to have delegation also for substitutes what is the best approach regarding this.
on some particular day Manager needs to recieve email notification asking him to approve the working time of his team does this can be done by using backend workflow?

Problem in Approving Requisition Request in MSS UWL

Hi,
I'm facing problem in approving requisition request sent through Manager in MSS UWL.
We have configured standard process HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION with ISR scenario is SRQ3. Workflow is WS45600028
Case: When I successfully Check & Send Requisition Request form from MSS Recruitment, it is coming in Manager UWL.
But, when i open the workitem for approval it is not coming as a PDF form with Approve Button in the bottom (Standard). Instead, it opening as per the below screen.
Please help to resolve this issue.

You should be giving the process reference number or workitem ID in transaction hrasr_test_process.
Which release you are on , what is the SP level of component EA-HRGXX?
Further as per note 972322 - HR Administrator: Migration WD4A - the start process application has been migrated to WDA.
Check the UWL XML configuration to see if the config is as below for the approval task...
APPLICATION     ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE(For EhP4, otherwise application depends on the level of EA-HRGXX )
      DYNPARAM     WI_ID=${item.externalId}
      NAMESPACE     sap
      SYSTEM_ALIAS     <use your system alias>
A sample XML is available with note - 1371626 - UWL Configuration for HR Administrator BP version 1.51.
This appears to me to be a XML configuration issue. Collaborate with your portal and UWL config consultant.

Customizing MSS UWL

Hi Experts,
I want to customize the MSS UWL as per the client requirement. they want to hide the three buttons
(Resubmit, Forward, Assign To Me) * from the UWL.
Could you please give some start on how to start the customization of the SAP delivered IView. And also belive that as a XML IView though not sure of it.

MSS UWL WebDynproApplication value not found ...

Hello,
I am using MSS and would like to approve recorded times. But when I configure the UWL there is a problem with registering the object tpys:
WebDynproApplication value not found for task TS00700049 in system SAP_ECC_Financials
Portal Component value not found for task TS00700059 in system SAP_ECC_Financials
Could someone tell me please what this could be and how I can fix it?

Approve link not working in ESS/MSS UWL portal

Hi experts,
we are using portal 7.3 with ess/mss.
in mss when user is approving a leave request, he is not ale to proceed
after few steps as one link "pprove another request" is not working.
this i a standrd portal scren in UWL. please suggest.

Workitems in MSS UWL Inbox.

Hi All,
I have an issue in leave request application in MSS tab in UWL on portal.example employee have created two leaves ,those two leaves are visible in Manager's UWL Inbox(MSS).but when click on 1st leave or second leave,any leave request,it is showing only first leave request deatails(means latest one).
if i have 10 leaves,for all 10 leaves it showing latest one leave details,when i click the leave request.
So I want to know which backend 'Feeder class' is triggered when open the leave request.Screen shot is attached.
help me out ,it is very urgent.

In my task the setting's are:

DYNPARM:LRF_ARQ_MODE=A&LRF_WITEM_ID=${item.externalId}
NAMESPACE:SAP
Also I had to change some parameters in my Launchpad using transaction LPD_CUST
I changed Launchpad MSS/NAV folder, Time Management, Item, Leave Request Approval target application parameters and parameter matching to
Target App. Parameters: LRF_ARQ_MODE=A
Parameter Mapping:(source parameter) REQUEST_ID (target parameter) LRF_REQUEST_ID
Hopefully this will fix the error for you. We had a combined list of problems that required me to open a OSS thread and apply several notes. I have inserted some screen shots of my task and Launchpad settings as well so you can have a visual.

MSS:UWL subtitution problem

In MSS Universal work list while creating the Manage Substitution Rules Error displyed on the PoP up window
"An error occured while starting the iview.
Application

Hi Srikanth and Anwar,
We had the same problem, only it happened when opening a PCR form from the "Status Overview" iView in MSS.
The solution is here: [Note 1171930 - Application will run with a wrong client window ID alert|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1171930]
This applies if you have one of the following versions and an iView is launched in a new window:
- NW04s SP15
- EhP1

MSS UWL for PCRs

Hi,
I have gone through setting up UWL in How to guide from service market place and setup as in section 3 "minimal configuration". In section 3.7 it is asking to upload configuration file. Is it needed(even after all the steps) because this configuration is specific to MSS?? What else should be done to make PCR stuff to work completely?

well, it could work. I don't know, if you've missed something. just try it
can you see the workitems, your corresponding user has got in SBWP in the backend, too?
you can test it like this (if you have customized workflow in your backend):
- go to the backend, start transaction SWU3 (here you can see, whether workflow was customized)
- start the verification workflow (F5)
- you should receive workitems in your inbox (SBWP)
- you should see these workitems in your UWL, too

Two iView(out of three) give Portal runtime error when refresh MSS-UWL Page

Hi All,
i am getting the Portal runtime exception in the MSS->Work Overview ->2nd and 3rd iView on this page.
First iView is the UWL-Task 2)Attendance Overview and 3) Work Orders
When i refresh this page "refresh" from pae level refresh. i am getting the below error on 2nd and 3rd iView. Last 2 iView is not displaying.

Exception id: 02:02_12/01/09_0039_38688450
See the details for the exception ID in the log file.
i have tryed to search the log also in the default trace but can not find any log with this exception ID.
Please suggest me on this ?

My scenario is
- Portal MDM connection OK and working tasks in MDM
- new UWL System (connector type : MdmUwlConnector)
- new config file (XML)
- dedicated Role and dedicated iView (copy of standard UWL iView)
- clearing cache
Test : No working Tasks in UWL
- restarting portail application com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl
Test : No working Tasks in UWL
- running wizard (System Admin, system config, UWL customize IView)
- new field "TEST" to iView
- portail create the com.sap.pct.erp.mss.001
Test : No working Tasks in UWL
Test : standard UWL crashes with error 09_0006_808022650
After what, we try roolback, removing XML config, connection, dedicated iView, ...
Still crashing with error 09_0006_808022650
Now our developpemnt system don't work for UWL ... (using UWL with ECC connection and was OK for ECC)
Questions : is your scenario similar to this one ? Is anyone can help us ?

Escalation of items in MSS UWL

SAP will use Workflow to escalate actions in the MSS Universal Worklist to the next level of manager above if the action is outstanding for more than a certain number of days.
What I need to establish is, do we have to have the same number of days for each Workflow i.e. Trip Approval, Leave Request etc
And is this the same other areas of SAP i.e. P2P or Finance?

MSS UWL customization : Which .XML to modify and How?

We have EP7 with MSS/ESS ERP 6.0 EHP4 and already configured the UWL system object with alias 'SAP_ECC_HumanResources'.
I am using the UWL iview from the MSS business package on portal.
I have a requirement to modify the task tab table removing few columns like 'Priority' and 'Status' etc.
Tried the option in UWL Admin as 'Click to Configure Item Types and Customize Views Using a Wizard' but that does not give me any dropdown option to modify any view.
I am going for the option to modify the xml file to implement the above change.
There are multiple .XML file's as below and I am not sure which one I should modify to change my view.
1. com.sap.pct.erp.mss.001 [Med]
2. com.sap.pct.erp.mss.tra [Med]
3. uwl.webflow.SAP_ECC_HumanResources [Low]
The UWL iview from business package has following properties as,
sap_uwl_viewname = com.sap.pct.erp.mss.AlertView
useNavigationId = com.sap.pct.erp.mss.Main
Can someone please advise which .XML file I need to modify and how?
After customizing the .XML fime do I need to make any change in the iview property as well?

The section "Current Item Information" provides information specific to the UWL item that is currently selected.
I am not sure which item you have selected in your UWL inbox but it appears to be using an XML configuration file that is related to Collaboration. That is the reason you are seeing the AdHocSystem in the properties.
What is the worflow task associated with this item ?
Make sure that your task is mentioned in your XML configuration files and also your XML configuration files have a higher priority.
I can see its pointing to the com.sap.pct.erp.mss.001 configuration.

So as I understand from your response, I need to change the com.sap.pct.erp.mss.001 .XML file and rename it and then upload it to the configurations. and change the iview property UINavigation ID to <'>.
Is it correct, please advise?
This is not as simple as that.
Based on the changes you are trying to make, you will need to make XML changes and upload (with High priority) for various tasks, views, etc.
Please do some reading and get started with this and you can achieve this in a few steps.

ESS MSS UWL Approval Step Hanging After Clicking Approve

Working on ESS MSS implementation using UWL to approve work items.
Approval task (TS17900101) is sending workitem to UWL, but when I click Approve it just hanging and gives me the processing circle forever.

Transaction code for MSS UWL

Hello SAP experts
Is there a tranaction code in the SAP Gui that lets me take control of what a manager
sees in the Universal Worklist ? I am using EHP7.
:I need to delete some old messages and also approve or reject some leave request workflows
in the test system but do not have a Workflow consultant to help me with this.
Would be great if someone can help me with this.

Thanks Artur for your quick response.
I just tried SWIA and then clicked on a leave request and then clicked
"Execute" but got the message "The request cannot be started from the Business
Workplace".
Basically I want to Approve or Reject the leave request that was created
in the ESS Portal and the manager can see the request in the UWL.

Mass MSS UWL approvals

Would someone be able to direct me to how I can do multiple selection of tasks in the UWL by the manager to globally approve Leave Requests (or other tasks)?
The client would like for the manager to be able to select multiple tasks from the UWL, and globally approve all of the tasks selected directly.

Error in MSS UWL approval workitem for E-recruitment

I am facing an error in UWL, when manager clicks on workitem for approving
any requistion (in standard E recruitment) it is throwing an error as below:
500 Internal Server Error SAP J2EE Engine/7.01
