Muliple Accounts, One Library, No Longer Linked

Help!?
I'm running iTunes 7.3 on XP. I have three users accounts on the machine, each servicing a different ipod. When I set up the two newest accounts, I pointed them to the music library of the primary user account.
For a while, when I bought songs in any account, I could see them in all accounts. Now, the two new accounts aren't showing recent purchases. I've trying breaking and reestablishing the iTunes Music folder location in the new accounts, and that did not work.
Please advise. Blood pressure rising...

The iTunes library is actually just a couple of files (really a catalogue rather than a library). You may have just lost those two files rather than all of you songs.
Look for your songs on the comp and just add them into the "new" library. Of course if you really have lost the songs as well or have deleted them off the comp on purpose to "save space" (not a good idea)then this isn't going to work. So just <smartarse remark> restore from your backup.

Yes. Just copy the purchase to the user account/computer and drag it into the iTunes window or use the Add to Library command. If iTunes isn't authorized to the iTunes Store account the purchase was made through, you'll just have to authorize that system.

Check Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on both your iPhone and your iPad to make sure that the following are all true:
(1) you have selected the same Apple ID on both devices,
(2) you have the same entries checked under "You can be reached by iMessage at:" on both devices,
(3) you have the same entry checked under "Start new conversations from:" on both devices,
and
(4) that the entry checked in #3 is one of those checked in #2 on both devices.
When you say it has affected your iCloud account, what effect has it had?

TS4002 I had 2 iCould Accounts - one on MacBook Pro and one on iPad - long story. I changed the one on my iPad to sync with laptop. Now I can not get my iCloud mail on my iPad since it only want to set up a new one, not my existing one. How do I fix it

I had two iCloud account - one on my iPad set up with Me.com. Its a long story as to why I had two account which I will not the issue. I changed my iPad account to link up with my MacBook Pro account - which is my primary account. After doing this all seemed OK except I could not get y primary iClould email account set. When I tried to add my primary iClound email account it only allows you to add a NEW iClould account which is not what I want.
How do I correct this issue? Thanks.

Thanks Winston but your solution did not work. In my iCould account everything works except Mail - that being contacts, calendar, reminders, etc. When it comes to mail it is currently OFF. When I turn it ON, it states that I need to create a NEW free iClound account, and allowing me to establish my existing account.
When I tried your solution, it stated that the account already exists but in reality it is not on my iPad.
Any more thoughts?

If you only changed the name of your ID rather than creating a new ID, just go to Settins>iCloud and tap Delete Account then sign back in with the new name. (Deleting the account from your phone does not delete it from iCloud. Your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.)
If you created a new ID, you'll have to go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your phone.) After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to your new account.
You won't lose any photos in your camera roll or photo library. If you have any photos in your photo stream that are over 30 days old that are not in your camera roll or saved on your computer, be sure to save these to the camera roll before deleting the account. To do so, open the photo stream album on your iPhone in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you need to save to select them, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

Can no longer link to iTunes library on local net

I've been using a 2011 Mini for my media server for about a year. It holds my iTunes library and has always worked fine. I often linked to it with my Macbook to have music in my home office.
After upgrading both machines to Mavericks and iTunes 11.1.3, I can no longer link to the library with the Macbook. right after the upgrade, I could navigate to the Mini's /Music library, but not down to the iTunes subfolder; the subfolders did not appear in the selection menu. It would act as if the /Music folder was at the end of the tree. I tinkered with the sharepoints on the mini, and took out the /Music share and added one for /iTunes. Now iTunes on my Macbook ususally crashes when I select that.
I am able to navigate the Mini's disk with the finder from my Macbook ok, so sharing appears to work.
Itunes continues to work fine on the Mini playing its own library, and the MacBook works fine with its little library.
I have used Tuneup 2.0 for over a year and been very happy with it. I recently upgraded to Tunepe 3.0, which seems to be a big step backward, but I had the problem before running the new version.
I'm really frustrated and would be very grateful for any help or insights.

So here is my delima - I want one Ipod account - because I only want one library - since we all like the same music - but my kids, who have their own IPODS, have gift cards, who want to be able to keep track of their balance without the other child affecting the balance - meaning - each gift card should be seperate and not totalled to the single account - Beacuse the library is fairly large, having three libraries of large amounts would be a waste. I would also like to restrict their purchased to the gift cards only and not my credit card on file. Does this make sense? Or would I set up an account for each child - which I dont want to do, because I dont want them having access to my Credit Card, and only gift card balances. With multiple accounts, I'm assuming that would also build seperate libraries? We also have multiple computers, but I share the library to those computers -
What is the best way? I'd like to be able to add credit to a specific child (birthdays, etc) without the other child being able to access that credit. For simplicity sake.

Not going to happen the way you want it to.
When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with.

They aren't there because you didn't transfer them.

In future do not rely upon being able to download again. The policy could be discontinued without notice and then you'd be in a mess. Even now you still can't redownload everything. Transfer properly next time and make backups.

Call back and explain that you are not attempting to get troubleshooting support for the device, but for the iMessage service, which is related to iCloud, and they should be able to grant an exception for that. The $19 fee is supposed to be only for troubleshooting a hardware issue, not for a service issue.
For example, you can have an iTunes account without even owning an Apple device. I can use iTunes on my Windows PC. There's no hardware to support, so the 90-days limitation doesn't apply.
If they refuse to offer support, then ask for a Senior Advisor.

One of the phones can keep the current account; on the one that will be moving go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The other phone will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account on this phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting the original phone's contacts from the new phone's account, and vice versa). These changes will be reflected on each phone.

You are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.
