Multimedia Factory converted picture to not viewab...

While I was constructing an MMS message to be sent out with my N95, 2 things happened:
- firstly, I took a picture with N95 and while I was editing the MMS message in PC, I could not attach the picture from my N95 phone memory image folder to the message (so I moved first the picture to PC desktop and then attached it to the message)
- secondly, when the picture was attached, it became all "blurr", so I guess it got converted to much more smaller size (to fit to the MMS message), but the end result was that the receiver could not figure out at all what was in the picture.
This has not happened before, I have been sending MMS messages from PC many many times.
I have the latest PC Suit 6.85.14.1 and the latest MMF for N95 from Nokia web pages (cannot figure out the version though because MMF about box states PC Suite version, weird...
Any thoughts ?

The two main possibilities I can think of are either a problem with the initial controller discovery, or a certificate problem.
If it's controller discovery: Watching it boot up is the easiest way to figure out exactly where the problem is. What messages show up on the console during the boot/join process? If it's successfully resolving the DNS request, you'll see messages to that effect as it boots.
If the AP is successfully finding a controller but its join requests are being rejected, it may be a certificate issue. Older APs do not have a certificate preinstalled. If you used the conversion tool or WCS to convert it, a certificate would be generated as part of that process, but if you just download the LWAPP image right to the AP, it would not.
Also, even if it did get a generated certificate during the upgrade, you have to tell the controllers to permit APs with self-signed certificates (SSC) to join; by default, only the preinstalled certificates (MIC) are allowed.

Hi thanks again for your reply. That seems to define the starting reference point. You have suggested that as Im using dynamic data I'm pretty much bound to the timestamp which is why I cant have an x-axis (time) that starts at a 0.0 and iterates relative to this. I guess I'll just have to accept that.
My input to my DAQ is a linear rod potentiometer ( with 200mm full scale defelection). So it will dynamically output a voltage 0 - 5v for 0 - 200mm of displacement of the rod potentiometer. To put this in context the pot swill be connected to (for example) the column/elevator on an aircraft. So it will output a voltage linearly proportional to the displacement of the column/surface. Is there any other way of doing this without "dynamic data" ? As you say you have never used dynamic data and being far more experienced than me in using LabVIEW was wondering if there was an alternative for the type of configuratiom I'm using ?
I've attached my data scalar constants in my block diagram to convert the output voltage from potentiometer (that is input into AI0 of the DAQ) into a potentiometer displacement (0 - 200mm) or wheel angle (-180 deg to 180deg), for example, as illustrated in my front panel. I dont know of any other way of doing this - Since the pot is linear (1v per 40mm of displacement) I just scaled the voltage to provide a representation of pot displacment. Is this a sensible thing to do ? The use of the scalars doesn't diminish my need for a high sample rate. I think I still need as high a sample rate as possible (1000hz the max for 6008 DAQ ?) as inceptor input could be quite rapid and I need to ensure I get as many samples as possible to measure the relative gearing between inceptor and surface.

Pictures have not all transferred to Revel although the message says the move is complete

I received a message saying that the move from Photoshop to Revel is complete. There are 173 of my most recent jpg pictures, dated from July, 2012 - March, 2013 that have not been moved. It looks like these pictures were not automatically backed up and synct the way they should have been by Photoshop. How can I get these pictures moved to Revel?

Export photos from Elements 11 to Adobe Revel
You can export photos to a library in Adobe Revel from Elements Organizer.
In Elements Organizer, select the photos you want to export. Select File > Export To Adobe Revel or click the Share tab and click Adobe Revel.
Select the library from the Export To drop-down list and click Export.
Note:All exported images are converted to .Jpeg file format.
Export to library
A message is displayed confirming the number of media exported successfully. Click OK.
You can Sign Out from the Import/Export workflow and sign in as a different user, if required. Click on triangle next to the Welcome, [Username] and click Sign Out.

Cannot reinstall Multimedia factory after uninstal...

I uninstalled Multimedia Factory on my Vista laptop. Now when I attempt to reinstall I get a message saying my installed version of Multimedia Factory is newer than what I am trying to install and the install does not proceed. I have done a registry cleanup and manually deleted all registry entries for "mediafactory". If I attempt to start the installation from the Crogramdata\Installations\{subfolder} file I get a corrupted configuration data message. Does anyone know a work around? Thanks.

i tried the same in my Vista Desktop same issue...i am unable to reinstall nokia multimedia factory after uninstalling, it says atlease you need 6.41 pc suite installed on your PC whereas i have 6.86.9.0 installed on my pC...its an issue in vista desktop too (Vista Ultimate 32 bit)

Nokia Multimedia Factory and N80

Hi, I read in Nokia Site that Nokia Multimedia Factory is compatible with the Nokia N70, N72, N90, 6630, 6680, 6681, and 6682 phones. But, my N80 software CD come with Nokia Multimedia Factory, anyone knowns if N80 is compatible? If yes, how can I get the MMSSync.sis file to be installed on the phone since Nokia Multimedia Factory does not install on first time usage as explained in manual.

Why don't you download the latest version of PC Suite that is 6.85.14.I think that will solve your problem.

Multimedia Factory no longer seems to work

I upgraded my PC Suite and did have version 6.84.10.4 of Multimedia Factory to send MMS messages from my PC via my phone. I updated and am now running 6.85.12.0. When I try and send an MMS now I get "Message sending failed" on my phone (N95). I can click OK or Details. If I click Details it says "Incorrect message format" and there is only the choice to click OK.
Any ideas? Multimedia Factory is very useful for me because I send lots of international texts and it's a way of keeping the costs down even when roaming (they always come out of my allowance regardless).

Well I usually upgrade PC Suite when PC Suite says there is an update. Which is usually via a link in the PC Suite main screen that says something like "Upgrade PC Suite". I don't remember how I came to know there was an upgrade to Multimedia Factory (since it is installed separately as an add-on like you say) but I installed it and regretted it immediately afterwards because it meant I was unable to send MMSs.
Fortunately I was able to install the previous version of Nokia PC Suite and also the previous version of Nokia Multimedia Factory on another PC (so that I was in the same situation as I was before the upgrade) and see that since it worked it must have been the new update that broke it. Otherwise I would probably have started thinking it was a setting on the phone and not been able to find out what it was. I'm also luck that you use MM Factory too, since no one else has seemed to have noticed it :-)
You are right about the email address, when I emailed them to ask them about the Silent mode not being selected when you press and hold the # key, they told me to go and take my phone to the nearest Nokia service point LOL. :-)

I'm using Nokia PC Suite version 6.83.14 and i'm trying to use Multimedia Factory with it to read my multimedia messages on the comp (XP) and when i open my inbox with a MMS in it it'll just freeze while 'Updating Multimedia Messages'.
I'm using an N70 and before i formatted my computer i used 6.83 with multimedia factory but not sure why its not working now.

Satellite C855D-S5106 - when lid is closed/reopened, backlight resumes, picture does not.

Win. 7 Ult. 64-bit, Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5106, all BIOS and display drivers updated... Things to note: This NOT an issue with sleep or hibernation, or waking up from such states, as it wakes up just fine. It is also not a BIOS or drivers issue. I have it set in Power Settings that closing the lid does nothing. Yet whenever I open the lid after it has been closed, the backlight comes back on, but the picture does not. To get the picture to return, I either have to put the laptop to sleep and then wake it back up again, or, more convieniently, by using a program called Hotkeycontrol to set a custom hotkey to turn the the display on and off, and this works every time. I had this problem a couple years ago (a recent Windows repair "corrected" this solution), and I vaguely remember the solution being to change something display or policy-related, like, change it so that the lid closing action action looks for a trigger related to volume or a sound device, to act as an inactive placeholder of sorts, instead of what it really tries to do, which causes the problem in the first place, as weird as that seems. Unfortunately, that's about all I can remember, as it's been so long since I had to do it. All the Googling I do just brings me to posts about changing power settings again, or updating various BIOS and display drivers (when it's not bringing me to questions about waking up from sleep or hibernation, that is), which I've already done, and I know not to be the solution in this instance. I'm trying to remember where I went to make the changes, but I'm blanking out completely, sadly. This model shipped with Windows 8 and support.toshiba.com seems to have very limited Windows 7 driver support (e.g. no chipset drivers, display drivers, or power utilities.)

I only use Image Capture, so I can't speak for other software.

2. Select "Tool" at right pane
3. Sign in with your Adobe ID and password after clicking "Sign in" under "Tools"
4. Select "Create PDF" tab
5. Click "Select File" button
6. Select your picture or document (please see more information on supported file at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat-com/kb/using-createpdf.html#main_Convert_a_file_to_PDF)
7. Click "Convert" button
8. Click "View PDF File in Reader" after converting the file

1. Login to https://createpdf.acrobat.com/signin.html with your Adobe ID and password
2. Select "Convert to PDF"
3. Click "Select Files" button
4. Click "Download" button in progress bar after convert is complete.

Some of my pictures do not show up in the organizer

Some of my pictures do not show up in the organizer. The folders are all there but no thumbnails appear in the organizer. If I do a search for them they are shown but I cannot find them in the organizer.

This is a small...."Bug" I guess you could call it, in the ipods software where if you have songs by one artist and none of them have a album listed with them, they do not show up under "Artist".
I forgot the exact workaround, but I think its something like if you give one song by the artist a album name (By rightclicking it in iTUnes, hitting get info and selecting the info tab) all the rest of the songs will now appear under artist on the ipod
