Multiple BPEL worklist portlets

Hi,
I want to have multiple BPEL worklist portlets on the same SOA server. What are the change required to be done in the bpelportlet.war?
I remember someone mentioning, that we have to extract .ear then we get .war, if we extract it we get few files and in one of those file we have to make the changes in the name of the portlet, zip it back to .war and then .ear.
Thanks.

Sadia,
I'm really not sure about this. Which version you are using ?
I suppose you need to change /WEB-INF/providers/bpelprovider/provider.xml.

  • BPEL Worklist Portlet returns 500 Internal Server Error

    We have the following environment:
    Windows Server 2003
    OracleAS10g 10.1.2.0.2 (infrastructure and midtier).
Then I upgraded to portal 10.1.4.0.0.
Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2.0.2 is installed in the Midtier-home and integrated/connected to OID/single sign-on.
    All BPEL components work OK.
I have deployed BPELPortlet.ear using dcmctl and I have registered the provider with Oracle Portal.
The administration/console BPEL portlets work OK.
But, both the BPEL Worklist Portlet and the BPEL Worklist Analysis Portlet return the error:
"Error: The listener returned the following Message: 500 Internal Server Error"
Does anyone know what is wrong here?
    Is this a privilege problem?

  • Oracle BPEL Worklist application as a remote portlet in ALUI portal

    Hi,
I am integrating the Oracle BPEL sample worklist application as a remote portlet in ALUI in a community page.
I have 2 urgent queries...and desperate to look for a resolution...
    1) On opening the page where the remote portlet is placed ,it is very very slow to open the firt login screen in IE6.However the page is loading fast in IE7 or netscape.Every time the login page is hit we need to refresh the page to load it quickly..
2)on thewebservice configuration section for portlet -- > http Configuration ,I have created a gateway and added our Oracle BPEL worklist context to gateway the request. There is a option like Inline refresh..
a)If inline refresh is unchecked ,the BPEL worklist is not retaining the portlet nature like minimize ,maximize and the top community navigation is lost.
b)however if inline refesh is checked..The portlet nature is retained ,however there is javascript error coming in the page which is not allowing some of the vanilla features of BPEL worklist is working properly like clicking some buttons and taking actions...
Is this some configuration to be made in the ALUI side or some thing else...Please let me know if there is any solution to this...
    Regards
    Ashif

Now I am able to display the initial page of the remote portlet. However, when I try to do some operations I m running into one more issue:
[WSRP-Consumer:420733]No markup received from the producer [oraclePortal_producer] for portlet with portletHandle[E:3:default].
Is there anything futher I need to do?

  • How to cosume BPEL worklist as a portlet in webcenter application

    Hi,
Can someone guide me how to consume a BPEL worklist application as portlet in webcenter application. I have a BPEL process and have deployed it on BPEL Integration server installed on oracle apllication server. But how to proceed from here? The portlet should show all the tasks exactly as it appears in the worklist applction.
    Thanks
    Anand

Thanks a lot Cappa. Those links were really helpful and I have completed the POC successfully by integrating my existing ADF application with WebCenter by following the steps mentioned in http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/ccset62-all-100884.html.
Apart from the links you mentioned, Andrejus pointed to one of his blog entry on the same topic. Please find the same at http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/12/producing-jsr-168-portlets-directly.html
Now, the issue is it's very very slow and it's getting timeout most of the time. I'm getting concurrent modification exception also some times. Both the applications are running on the embedded server that comes with JDev. Have you ever come across it?

  • Worklist portlet

Did anyone have a succeful experience of deploying the worklist portlet in soa suite?
We got many problem after associate the soa suite oc4j with an OID.
The BPEL Server returns 'No domains accessible to the user logged in' error.

Acutally, I only associated the whole soa suite application server with an OID. After restart the server, I can't logon to the bpel console. I tried to config the bpel application to use OID as it's security provider, but still doesn't work.
Where's could I get the 10.1.3 developer guide? I couldn't find it on OTN.
    Thanks

  • Strange behavior of textareas in BPEL Worklist (10.1.2)

I have a very strange behavior with linebreaks in all my <textarea>s in the BPEL-Worklist-jsps: (they work fine as <INPUT>s
    Example:
    Default-text:
    line1
    I update the textarea to:
    line1
    line2
    -> hit update
    line1
*** (second line is completly missing)
-> hitting update again (no change in text)
    line2line1
*** (all on one line with the new line in front)
    As Value I use:
    <%=PayloadFormGenerator.selectNodeValue(payload, "/ns0:task/ns0:payload/ns1:abstract", form.getNamespaceMap(),"string", context.getLocale())%>
and as mentioned: It works fine for <INPUT>.
What do I do wrong? Is this a bug?

  • How to make links in the OA Worklist portlet open in a new separate window?

We are in the process of certifying Portal 10.1.4 with Oracle Apps. I've been able to create an Oracle Applications Framework Provider and successfully add the Worklist portlet to a portal template. The idea is to have a user see their Worklist notifications on their homepage and do some sort of action on them. Then return back into the Portal homepage where the notification portlet is.
I'm not sure what opinions I have: We can maybe have all the links in the Worklist portlet open in a window, but I don't know how this can be done.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Adrian

Not quite sure of your requirements, but since OA framework provider and portlets are out of box there is only limited customization available e..g fields, no of items in worklist portlet, ordering etc.
But normally when you click on a worklist link in the portlet it will lead to a worklist details page (allowing actions like approve, forward, reject etc.) and also has a home link which leads back to portal home page. [Depends on profile options setup in apps]
Also since oracle apps is single sign on enabled users can receive notification via email and will be directed directly to notification details page after single sign on.

  • Multiple BPEL Process Managers in one environment?

    Hi,
I'm quite new to the Oracle SOA product line, so please be gentle when my question doesn't make sense.
I’m in the process of designing a new enterprise architecture based on service orientation. I’m looking at the Oracle SOA Suite software to get a better understanding of what things will look like when getting to the actual implementation.
Some internal projects are moving fast, so I’m trying to get an understanding on how things will work out in the future. One case has my current attention, related to the BPEL Process Manager.
A 3rd party vender is offering a specific solution which is using or based on the BPEL Process Manager. This solution can be purchased as a black-box. From the perspective of my new architecture I would like to purchase the SOA suite as a whole. New developments will most likely be using the BPEL Process Manager for orchestration. But when purchasing the black-box application, the environment will be extended with an extra BPEL Process Manager. My first thought is to try and incorporate the BPEL processes from the 3rd party vendor onto one single BPEL Process Manager. But I also think two BPEL Process Managers can have advantages.
I’m not sure how to go forward with this. How should I handle this? Is it common to have multiple BPEL Process Managers in one environment or should I pursue maximum integration and only go for one BPEL Process Manager?

    Hi,
We have similar situation at my current client site and we are going with two seperate BPEL PM installs for various reasons. One of the main driver in our case is conflicting in timelines of two seperate projects.
But my suggestion is to go with single enterprise install if that's not breaking the 3rd-party vendor supporting contracts. This has obviously benefits of redecued infrastructure/administrative and other related costs. How many processes does the vendor has as part of their solution? If they are handful you know it doesn't justify having seperate environments.
On the otherhand having two seperate installs isn't bad either depending on how big or small your SOA service/process orchestration footprint is. We don't have complete handle on the performance/scalability aspects of BPEL PM based on number of processes deployed. But as you can see that may be one of drivers to have redundancy in BPEL PM servers.
End of the day there is no clear cut answer. If you have funding and resources, go with two seperate instances. But from architectural perspective better to have single install with clustering for better performance/scalability.

  • Customizing Discoverer Worklist portlet - 10.1..2

    Hi,
Is there any clean way of customizing the Discoverer worklist portlet. I want to remove the "type" column and the "Expand all" section.
I have looked at show_list_of_worksheets.uix but I am not particularly sure of what to change.

add a new user in jazn-data.xml (..\integration\orabpel\system\appserver/j2ee/home/config) in your enviroment (if you use developer install) - or if you use OID there .. add additional properties and relations in user-properties.xml (..\integration\orabpel\system\services\config)

  • Guranteed delivery from OSB to multiple BPEL

Hi, I am looking for architectural solution for a scenario :
I am receiving a JMS message from a queue in foreign domain that needs to be sent to multiple BPEL processes. (SOA Suite 11g)
Suppose one of the BPEL process is using 2 webservices for data enrichment and one of those web-service is down. so I want transaction to rollback and re-tired automatically on defined interval/attempts. therefore BPEL throws an rollback fault in such scenario.
To achieve this, I created a proxy service in OSB for that queue. Now I have 2 solutions:
    1. I use for-each in message flow and send message to each business service one by one. (for me business service is ultimately a BPEL process). OR
    2. I send message to multiple queue
Here I am not able to figure out if -
    - 1st scenario will work for rollback case. it should rollback only the failed BPEL business service not all others got processed successfully. (I don't know how to achieve this and whether its feasible)
    - 2nd solution will surely work but I don't want to put additional component unless first solution is not feasible.
Also to call a BPEL whether we should use direct binding or WSDL binding between OSB and SOA Composite? Direct binding is meant to be more efficient but I don't see any benchmark comparison in both approach.

    Hello Anu,
you can only split  Purchase Order if user have selected multi warehouse with different location.because there may will be different shipping address or tax configuration.
ex.  if user selected two warehouse in Purchase order then SAP make 2 PO with segment 1 and 2 , original become cancel  with different shipping address.
And if user want to same in Delivery document then how it possible  both address  single document print out.
