-Multiple Creative sound devices in one systemrHello community, I recently tried to get two X-Fi Titanium PCI-Express cards to work in one computer. One card worked well. As soon as i plugged in the second card and booted the system, i got a quite reliable bluescreen SYSTEM_EXIT_OWNED_MUTEX, which indicates improper handling of shared ressources by the driver. I performed extensi've testing on two different machines with both Windows 7 64-Bit and Windows XP 32, freshly installed and patched, latest drivers, no other software or sound hardware present, but the problem persisted. I contacted support an was told that a such a combination is neither tested nor supported by Creative. So now I am stuck with two expensi've cards, that don't work together. Is there any information from Creative which devices will work flawlessly together if combined? For example the X-Fi Go!. It's USB. How many of those will work together in one system? (if more than ) Can I plug in a Soundblaster Play USB device simultaniously? Does Creative test for things like these? And why ist there a "Select Audio Device" option in the Creative Console application if multiple cards don't work?

Generally it is not possible to activate two industry solution in
switch framework .(transaction SFW5) ..But we can make the activation
of industry solution as client dependent and client independent . if we
make it as client dependent then we can activate different industry solution
for each client
To know whether the activation is client dependent or client
independent you need to check table SFWPARAM for any entries. If it
does not have any entry then its client independent (repository changes)
It affects all the clients. Please make entry in table SFWPARAM
and try !

I have bought 4 Audigy USB , for this Sound blaster Windows can not load driver for more than card and for the rest make an error and makes them disable and even when I have used MP3 sound blaster and one Audigy ,,, again no chance ...
but with a cheap sound blaster from Teratec that it used generall windows USB sound Device driver it works up two 4 parallel sound blaster atached to 4 diffrent USB port .
( really it is a GREAT SHAME FOR CRAETIVE :smileysurprised: that could not deli'ver or made it disable )
as it is very important to use 24 bit high quality sound same as Audigy , still I am looking for solution to have 4 parallel Audigy sound card in one SYSTEM ,,,,,,
ANY TIP to save my project (and my life )?

I?m having the EXACT SAME problem. I thought it was something isolated, but apparently it isn't.
Sound just "pops" and "shutdowns" at an irregular interval of time, which is extremely annoying. I've noticed that it depends highly on the usage I'm giving the PC at the moment. When it's jsut sitting there plkaying music, it rarely happens. But if I'm browsing the web, with sites heavy on images or working on several tabs at the same time, it turns into a 0 second thing, making music almost unbareable... installing ANYTHING at the same time kills anything, 2-3 second pops and fades.
Before you even suggest it, I have a rather high end PC, phenom II 4 cored PC with 4GBs of RAM and a Caviar Black Hard dri've, so it's NOT that the PC can't handle the load. Its jsut browsing with music in the background... with half decent drivers, a 5 year old Celeron PC should be able to handle that...
I've read those troubleshooting guides over and over, and it's amazing how they suggest to shutdown/disable numerous things tha twill kill performmance in other areas, so we can have a functional audio solution. The only suggestion that makes a lot of sense is IRQ sharing with components, such as video cards/SATA dri'ves. I haven't checked/tried that, because unfortunately I'm not quite sure how/where to change the IRQ values... any help there?

My understanding is few IS-components can be implemented in 1 system.

Using multiple motion driver versions on one system...(with Labview 6.1 and Labview 8.0)

Using Labview 6.1 and Labview 8.0 on same PC computer (my development system).
Labview 8.0 applications, I would want to use the motion 7.x drivers
Labview 6.1 applications, I want to use motion 6.x drivers
(Of course, Labview 6.1 can not use motion 7.x drivers).
When I installed Labview 8.0 and motion 7.x drivers, it removed my motion 6.1
drivers (and all the vi's) and installed motion 7.x drivers (with vi's).
Of course, Labview 6.1 applications can not run with motion 7.x drivers.
How can I keep my Labview 6.1 applications running and building
with motion 6.x drivers while still having Labview 8.0 applications
with motion 7.x drivers (all on the same system).
And then, of course, the executables, on other systems with the 6.x and 7.x drivers.

Unfortunately there is no way to install multiple versions of a
hardware driver on a single operating system. This is not only true for
NI Motion but for any type of peripheral hardware. Windows can only
assign a single driver to a specific piece of hardware.
From my point of view the best solution would be to upgrade your
LabVIEW 6.1 application to LabVIEW 8.0. If this is not possible for
some reason you could install a second Windows on another harddrive or
partition and install LabVIEW 6.1 and NI-Motion 6.x on this system and
LabVIEW 8.0 and NI-Motion 7.x on the other one.

Multiple versions of FCP on one system

Hi guys just a quick question. I have FCP 5 installed on my mac. I am about to purchase Final Cut Studio 2, meaning FCP 6 will be installed on my system too.
Does this mean I will have to uninstall FCP 5 first or will I basically have two FCP's on my system. My only worry is that installing FCP 6 will overwrite/destroy a project that I'm currently editing on FCP 5?
Any suggestions or help on in?
Also is Final Cut Studio 2 compatible with OSX 10.4.11?

When you install FCS 2 the higher version of FCP 6 will replace your installation of FCP 5.
You will not lose project files.
Also is Final Cut Studio 2 compatible with OSX 10.4.11?

I'm doing exactly what you want to do. I have a linksys WRT54GP2A-AT (wireless router with AT&T VOIP) downstairs and a WAP54G upstairs. I have the same SSID, same channel, and same security settings. My laptop will connect to the strongest signal. You can bring up the wireless client list on the WRT and see that the laptop is there or not depending on where in the house i am. I walked downstairs from upstairs and move from one wap to the other automatically. Pretty cool.

I recently purchased a M-Audio Profire 26/26 to connect to AA 2.0, which works fine on it's own. I also have a Lexicon Omega that I was hoping to use in conjunction with the Profire. I have AISO4ALL already installed and have used it in the past. However, When I set up a channel via AISO to my profire and another to the Lexicon, AA will not record. Only if I select one at a time will AA record.
Is there a way to set this up to allow the 8 channels from the profire and 4 channels from the Omega to be recorded simultaneously?

ASIO as a standard can only cope with one sound device in your system. If you want to use more than one, then you have to use ASIO4ALL to convert Audition's ASIO stream back to WDM, and use this to talk to the other device. You can quite happily share ASIO channels this way in principle, but it can be a right pain to set up, and there are inevitably latency differences between the two devices - even assuming that you can get them to work like this at all. And that's not guaranteed.

I have Creative Li've!Value and Creative X-FI xtreme music card. Can this both card work on my computer. I install both but volume panel dont find X-fi card and crashes. I dont now what to do.

It is possible to use two cards in one system, but it can be very awkward to set up, Windows will always look for a preferred device so check that setting in Control Panel> Sounds & Audio / Multimedia, having two can cause a conflict.

Sure. That is what iCloud is meant for, so you can keep your devices synced.
When you set up iCloud on the devices, use the same Apple ID on all devices, then the iCloud account will be the same.

Settings > iTunes & App Store > Sign in with the desired Apple ID.
The two above can be different Apple IDs, mine are.

We recently received iPad 2's for Christmas and was looking for some advice on how to FaceTime and iMessage on multiple apple devices with One iTunes Account (Apple Id). I have created or attached other e-mail addresses to our apple id but do not know how to use them on the new devices. Our home MacBook Pro uses our main apple id for FaceTime. The iPads have been setup with the main apple id w/o being able to use FaceTime and iMessage.

If you are trying to connect to someone with a different Apple ID, I think all the devices should work, but one at a time.
The problem is when you try to connect between two with the same Apple ID. Once the calling device tries to make the connection, it finds the second device to be "busy". That is where each needs to use a different E-Mail address when setting it up.
On iOS devices, when you press the Home button to exit an App, the App may still be active in the background, even when the device is sleeping. If FaceTime or iMessage is merely being active that way, it may be enough to "tie up" the E-Mail address.
From the Home screen, double click your Home button. You will see a list of recent Apps along the bottom of the screen. Press and hold on one of them until they start to wiggle. You will then see a red minus sign on each. Pressing the minus sign will remove an App from the list, and stop it from working in the background. (Click the Home button to stop the wiggling, and again to hide the recent Apps.)
