Multiple delete in one form with ADF

Hi,
Does anyone know how I can make a multiple delete? So as a sort of e-mail list where you can mark the items you want to delete with a checkbox. Then by clicking submit, all the marked rows will be deleted.
thanks a lot

Hi,
You've got the basic idea for using multiples DELETEs.
If you start that ar 11:52:14 on February 15, and each DELETE takes 2 or 3 seconds, then responseerrors might bet cut off at
11:52:15 on January 15, eventresponses might get cut off at
11:52:17, and events at
11:52:19. If anything happened to be dated in responseerrors during those 4 seconds on January 15 (or in eventresponses during those 2 seconds), then those rows will be left pointing to rows in events that no longer exist.
To avoid that, you might want to use TUNC (SYSDATE) instead of SYSDATE; that will make the cutoff time 00:00:00 on January 15 if you run the script at any time on February 15. Just be careful that you don't start it a few seconds before midnight.
If you make foreign key constraints in the "child" tables (responseerrors and eventresponses), referencing events.eventresponseid ON DELETE CASCADE, then you could simply DELETE the rows from events, and the rows in the other tables would be automaticaaly deleted, too. For details, look up foreign key constraints in the SQL Language manual:

  • Adding data to multiple tables using one form in Access 2010?

    Hi All,
I have a access database with two tables and I want to create a single form to enter data into that tables.
How to adding data to multiple tables using one form in Access 2010?
I don't have to much knowledge of access database?
    Please help me
    Thanks
    Balaji

You really don't enter identical data into 2 tables.  You enter dat into one single table, and then you have an unique identifier that maps to another table (you have a unique relationship between two tables).
Maybe you need to read this.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/access-help/database-design-basics-HA001224247.aspx
Think about it this way...  What is you update data in 2 tables, and then the data in one of those tables changes, but the data in the other table does NOT change.  WHOOPS!!  Now, you've got a BIG problem.  For instance, you have a customer
named Bill Gates.  In one Table you update Bill's address to 1835 73rd Ave NE, Medina, WA 98039 and in the other table you accidentally update Bill's address to 183 73rd Ave NE, Medina, WA 98039.  Now you have 2 addresses for Bill.  Why would
you want that???  Which is right?  No one knows.  If you have one address, you just have to update one address and if there is a mistake, you just have to update one address, but you don't have to waste time trying to figure out which is right
and which is wong...and then update the one that is wrong.
    Post back with specific questions.
Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

  • How can I allow the application to line through a field that has been locked after being digitally signed?  We have multiple sections on a form with some fields being proposed information and other in another section having the approved information. once

How can I allow the application to line through a field that has been locked after being digitally signed?
We have multiple sections on a form with some fields being proposed information and other in another section having the approved information. once the approved information is entered we line through the proposed field so the data entry clerk won't pick up the wrong information.  However we are receiving an error when attempting to enter data  in the field which we have this edit.  Error property: line through cannot be set because doing so would violate the document permission setting.  any idea how we can get around this issue?

You can control which fields are locked down after signing by setting up a collection. Then those that are not locked can be changed after signing. If this is not possible, then the line outs must occur prior to signing.

  • How to format a form with adf

    Hi,
I want to format an adf form like this :
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33421977/adf_form.PNG
To do this I have used af:panelDashboard and af:panelBox with af:panelFormLayout inside.
Now I don't want to use panelBox anymore, but I don't know how to achieve this without panelDashboard/panelBox.
What is th best aproach to do this? Can you send me some links which explain how to format a form with adf?
    Thanks.

Is just a question of style. In the real application this form is included in another panelBox. So it looks too... I don't know how to say it... too heavy?
In fact I don't want to see these panelBoxe's borders. Maybe I have just to change the style of these boxes? Do you know if it is possible?
But more generally, what is the right way to format adf forms? Can I achieve this sort of formatting just using panelFormLayout?

  • How can I scan multiple pages to one file with MG 7120

My printer does not have ADF. How can I scan multiple pages to one file on my MG 7120?

    Hi albabynyr,
There is a program that comes with the printer called the IJ Scan Utility that can assist you with scanning multiple pages into a single file.  To scan using the IJ Scan Utility, please follow these steps:
    1. Start IJ Scan Utility by going to your Start menu, then selecting All Programs, then Canon Utilities, then  IJ Scan Utility (folder), then IJ Scan Utility (program).
    2. In the Canon IJ Scan Utility window that opens, click SETTINGS.... in the bottom right of the window. The Settings dialog box appears.
    3. Click the DOCUMENT SCAN option on the left pane of the window.
    4. In the right pane of the window, locate the SELECT SOURCE field and select the DOCUMENT option.
    5. Set the color mode, document size, and scanning resolution as required in the rest of the fields shown in the window. Click DOCUMENT SCAN ORIENTATION SETTINGS... to specify the orientation of the documents to be scanned.
    6. In the SAVE SETTINGS section of the window, you will select the save format and location of the document you are about to scan.
a.) In the FILE NAME field, specify the name you would like to give the file. By default the filename will begin with IMG; you can remove IMG and change it to whatever you would like to name the file.
b.) In the DATA FORMAT field, use the drop-down arrow to select the PDF (Multiple Pages) option.
c.) In the SAVE IN field, please navigate to the area where you would like the file to be saved once it is scanned in. By default, the file will be saved in the DOCUMENTS folder.
    7. Once all settings have been selected, click the OK button at the bottom of the SETTINGS (DOCUMENT SCAN) window. The IJ Scan Utility main screen appears.
    8. Click the DOCUMENT button. Scanning starts. After a page has scanned, the screen to continue or end scanning appears. If you have more pages to scan, place the next page on the platen and click Scan.  Do this each time a page has completed scanning.  After the last page has been scanned, click Exit. Scanned images are saved in previously selected folder location specified in the SETTINGS... window. Click the CANCEL button to cancel scanning if needed during scanning.
    Hope this helps!

  • Multiple Signatures in one PDF with Field Collection

I have found multiple post throughout adobe forums, and Acrobat Users forums but have yet to find an answer. Often links to the "answer" no longer exist so I'm requesting help here on another thread. I have a form I designed in Form designer, that is being used in Acrobat Pro 8. The first signature is tied/linked to pages 1-5, and lock that data once signed. Then a second signature is needed on page 6 to validate any additional documentation on that page. Signature field on page 6 is also tied to field collection of all fields on page 6. However once any changes are made to page 6, or once page 6 is signed then the signature on page 5 changes (has yellow triangle with exclamation mark.) While the Yellow Triange isn't saying the signature is invalid, it is saying that the document has been changed. However the part of the document associated with the signature on page 5 has not changed. Is there some way to avoid the error on the first signature. This is a serious problem, because I have another 20 pages and every other page or so need another signature. Please, any suggestions are appreciated.

i guess you could do something similar by having one form as a kind of title page/menu and having links to each of the other then just group them into a portfolio
if what you are trying to do is have an index type arangement
otherwise it's subforms as you suggested -

  • Multiple connection in one form, is it possible?

Im trying to access two different database (P.O.7 and the other is an ODBC Compliant) in one form.
First thing i did was to run the wizard on each block using different login (1 for my PO7 and also the other) and it was successful, but when I try to execute the form, it just cant recognized the other block! since im only connected to other datasource....
Any suggestion on what should i do with this....

Check out the EXEC_SQL command under help in Forms
The EXEC_SQL package allows you to access multiple Oracle database servers on several different connections at the same time. Connections can also be made to ODBC data sources via the Open Client Adapter (OCA), which is supplied with Developer. To access non-Oracle data sources, you must install OCA and an appropriate ODBC driver.
The EXEC_SQL package contains procedures and functions you can use to execute dynamic SQL within PL/SQL procedures. Like the DBMS_SQL package, the SQL statements are stored in character strings that are only passed to or built by your source program at runtime. You can issue any data manipulation language (DML) or data definition language (DDL) statement using the EXEC_SQL package.

  • Inserting into multiple tables on one form using UIX

We are developing an application using struts and UIX. We would like to be able to insert into three tables on one form(view). How can we accomplish this?

This is more of an ADF question, you'll need to set up view object, than just drag it from the data control palette like normal.
If it's not already set up as a view in the db (split into multiple tables), you'll need to create a view object that includes all the fields you want, based on multiple entity objects.

  • Multiple iPad on one account with iCloud

I would like to update some business iPad (all over the US) from our office (in CA). Is there a way to sync multiple iPads to one iCloud account? However, I would only like to update certain apps (Keynote, movies and some documents). Is there a way to push data to their devices without them pushing anything back to me.
    Thanks!

iPods are sync'd to iTunes libraries (what you see on your computer), not iTunes accounts (which are used to purchase items).

No. Anything purchased is always purchased by that same account and cannot be changed.
He can copy these items to his computer and use them in his iTunes library.
If you authorize his cmputer for your iTunes acoount (iTunes menu Store > Authorize computer)  when he plugs in his iPod, select it in iTunes and select File > Transfer purchases.

  • Multiple records from one form

    Hi everyone,
    I am creating a sign-up form for users of a website - i need
them to select from a number of categories that they want to be

You can save them in a SET column. A SET column type allows
    you to store
up to 64 predefined values in a single column.
Create the checkbox group as an array by adding square
    brackets to the
end of the name value like this:
    <input type="checkbox" name="category[]" value="catA"
    />
    <input type="checkbox" name="category[]" value="catB"
    />
    <input type="checkbox" name="category[]" value="catC"
    />
To insert the values in a SET column, use implode() to create
    a
    comma-separated string:
    if (isset($_POST['category'])) {
    $_POST['category'] = implode(',', $_POST['category']);
    else {
    $_POST['category'] = '';
More about the SET column type here:
