I'm part of the end user computing and we are in the process of making a consolidated tnsnames.ora file as part of our migration from Windows XP to 7.
The following two entries are to the same host, but are named different and use different ports, we can't locate the original programmer that set it up.
I need to know if this would cause conflicts or not?

Track changes showing multiple entries for a single change?

Hi there .. I'm using Pages '09 v4.1 to edit MS Word '97 documents. I've been using the 'track changes' feature to work on chapters in a book and have done so with no problems so far (about 6 chapters so far in separate files). I went to start the next chapter and noticed that when I make a single change such as highlighting a word and making it italic, the tracking bubbles will show up as individual entries for every letter instead of for a single word. The really annoying thing is that it's not consistent .. some whole-word changes show up as a single entry, while some show as a few entries but don't necessarily correspond to how many letters are in the word being changed. When I try deleting specific tracking bubbles to see which part of the word they correspond to, it varies. For example, if I put the word "similar" in italics on page one, paragraph one, it shows up as 2 entries. When I delete the last entry, "imilar" will go back to standard font, while "s" stays italic until I delete the other entry. It's as though the words in the document are being recognized based on something other than the obvious, and certain letters are being grouped together in the program's brain, while others are separate.
It's not isolated to italics, btw. If I reformat the entire document to be left-aligned instead of center-aligned, it will show lots of separate tracking bubbles in various places through the document, rather than showing one bubble for my single change.
I've tried duplicating and saving a new version of the document, as well as creating a new doc and pasting everything into that and saving as a new doc, though I wasn't sure if this would carry over the problem .. It did.
It's not the end of the world as far as finishing this job, but it's pretty annoying and will be worse for the person who ultimately verifies the changes I've made. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Db2 multiple instances in a single host

Hi,
os - windows 2008 db - db2 9.1 fp7
if i want to install 2 sap instances in a single machine in windows how to proceed?
1) I have read the documents where installation doc saying default db s/w path is /db2/db2sid/db2_software.is this the s/w path in windows? some where i read it saying default path is drive:/program files/IBM/sqllib.what is actually the difference?
2) and also read in the forum and also in the note 978555 and 930487,it says multiple instance is not possible in db2 ie we can have only 1 defalut copy of db2 so we cant have multiple instances with the different copies of db2(up to kernel version 7.0) .is this correct? for 1st instance it is /db2/db2sid1/db2_software and for 2nd instance it is /db2/db2sid2/db2_software right?so how we cant have 2 instances with 2 different db2 copies?

sqllib is only the links. The actual database is not this path.

Multiple instances on a single host is only supported as of 9.7 you would have to upgrade to that release.
You can technically have two instances as of 9.1 but as per the sap note s you have mentioned, this is not supported by SAP

Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?

I have a Report that Contains 2 Parameters, @Customer & @Area. When trying to set up the Available Values for @Area, I'm having issues using multiple values for one Label, i.e. = "4006" Or "4610"
One of the Filters in the Report is an Operation number, which is the [OPERATION] field, which is setup as a filter on the Tablix referencing the @Area parameter.
PROBLEM: I cannot retrieve any data when trying to use the ‘Or’ Operator here. If I simply put “4006” or “4610” I retrieve data, but when trying to combine it returns no data.
Example, I need to allow a user to select ‘Chassis Incoming’, which would include data from Operations 4006 & 4610.
QUESTION:
Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?

Is there any way that we can use multiple hierarchies for a single char in single query. I tried and it just allows me to select one hierarchy even if I use hierarchy variable.
I have a requirement where user wants to see information related to a cost center with different cost center groups in different hierarchies (every year has different cost center group hierarchies).
Suppose I want to see information related to a cost center from year 2001-2004.in these four year cost center may have been associated to different groups depending upon that year hierarchy. How can I do that?

Nope. Now way to do this.
There is always just one hierarchy assigned to a characteristic. And even if the hierarchy was time dependent, it only reads it for one key date and not according to transaction data.

Multiple Passphrases for a Single SSID ?

We are getting ready to deploy a special SSID for handheld devices to be used on.
Is there any way to have multiple passphrases for a single SSID ? The reason I am looking at this is that we may have users who come into one of our offices and may not have gotten/received the email advising of the passphrase change. My hope would be that we could implement Passphrase A when we initially deploy the new SSID and then in say 3 months, change the password. We would like to leave the Passphrase A active for about a week which should be sufficient time for them to change it and then we could delete Passphrase A, leaving only Passphrase B active. In WEP there was something like this but I dont see this as an option in WPA2. Unfortunately with some of the devices that I have looked at, WPA2 Enterprise isnt an option, so that is why I am looking at things from this perspective.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It has a class extending DCErrorHandlerImpl configured as ErrorHandlerClass in DataBindings.cpx .
Running the page and entering a value starting with "err" will result in an exception being thrown and multiple messages shown.

Looks like using MultipleMessagesExceptionApp-v0.01.zip in JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 (11.1.1.2.36.55.36) results in a different behaviour compared to when used in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 (11.1.1.3.37.56.60)

When using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 each exception seems to result in two messages where there is only one message (as intended/expected) per exception when using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 .
(Could be somehow related to the question in forum thread "multiple callbacks to DCErrorHandlerImpl".)
But, question (q1) remains and is still about JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 .

I have 6 entries for the same title in the ADE title list. All have the same date and time added. All but one are blank in the "Last Read" column. On my computer I have only 1 epub file for this title. Why do I have multiple entries for the same title? If I delete all entries except for the one that has a date and time in the Last Read column will that be okay -- will I still be able to access the book?

N81 Call Log - Multiple entry for same number

Hi,
Earlier I was using Nokia 7250, in it the call log for missed/dialled/received calls have the facility for storing multiple entries for the same number.
i.e., say I received calls from no. XX @ 1 Am, 2 AM & 3 Am. Then the received call log for the no. XX will have an entry with these three time stamps
Where as in N81 only the most recent entry i.e., 3AM is been shown and I couldn't find a way to find out the earlier calls (1 AM & 2 AM)
Is there a way to find it out?

Multiple entries for the same company.

Anybody out there have any idea how to enter multiple entries for the same company in Mail without having to enter all information every time for each individual. This was a very basic feature in MS Outlook. Possibly a workaround if not an option within Mail? Thanks.

Select a card with the details on it, and Edit/Copy /Edit/Paste (Command-C Command-V). Now edit one of the cards with the new individual's details. If starting from scratch, create a company card with no personal information and duplicate it as needed.
