Multiple heading rows in a table template does not come across

Hello,
I've created a table with two heading rows with different content (please see attached file).
When I import this table format into a new Frame doc, the first heading row gets repeated twice.
Any ideas about how to fix this?
I have even tried to make one heading and the other a footer row (at the bottom) but even that formating does not come across in the template.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Anupam.
Using : Framemaker 9 on Windows XP

Anupam,
The import into a new document has nothing to do with what you are seeing. If you look in the table designer, you will see that there is nothing there that specifies that the table must have two heading rows. When you insert a table and select the ids_register table format, the dialog box lets you specify the number of heading rows; it can even be one.
Note that if you insert a second table in your original document and specify you want two heading rows, you get the same result: two heading rows that are both like the first one.
Without know the real details, I am guessing that the table format is capable of remembering only one heading row format.
I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but maybe someone else has a workaround to this.
Good luck,
Van

  • Getting "Table %TEMPLATE does not fit into window" error

    Hello,
I am trying to print a form to an old EPSON DFX-9000 dot matrix printer and am getting the error message Table %TEMPLATE does not fit into window".
This only happens when I go to that printer.  I can print fine to a laser printer.
I have tried creating a new device type and copying over the format from the laser printer, playing with the format, changing formats, ect.
I have adjusted the size of the window that my template cannot allegedly fit into but still no luck.  I have checked the height and width of the template and the window many, many times and still get the same error.
Has anyone seen this before?  Please help.   Thanks.

    Hi James,
You need to see the width and height of the Page Format which you have set in Form Attributes of your smartforms.
What ever you create should be within this width and height .
So accordingly adjust the width and height of your windows and components within them

  • Multiple header rows for one table?

Using html it's possible to set up multiple table header rows for one table but with APEX Reports I don't see how to implement this. Any ideas?
I want to use the second header row to provide links to data for the column only (not a row). But I still want sortable columns so I want to maintain the default column header behavior too.
    Thanks,
    Linda

    Mike,
I tried that and found that indeed the substitution string is working and shows in both debug regions I set up on each page I tested.
I have tried this on two kinds of pages. It works correctly on standard pages with PPR report regions.
It is not working correctly on a page based on Carl's tabbed regions with PPR reports. One click and the header disappears. This is the version I really want to get working.
I'd like to post something but have asked twice for a space on apex.oracle.com and have yet to receive even an email acknowledging my request.
Perhaps you can help me get a space?
My new problem on the tabbed page where my multiple headers are working is that when I click on a link in the header, it loads that page below the tab. But if I now click on the tab again, rather than return to the original tab page, I get error "ERR-1777: Page 4042 provided no page to branch to. Please report this error to your application administrator. " This happens on both the tabbed regions pages and on the standard tabbed pages. I guess I need to provide a differently formatted url? It is currently like this -
-----------------------"<th id="opt-details1" [a href="f?p=&APP_ID.:3001:&APP_SESSION.:::::"] View Details</a></th>" --------------[not really square brackets but I didn't know how to make this show in the forum with proper <> brackets ----------------------
    Thanks again,
    Linda

I am hoping someone might be able to help.
    Thanks!

I am facing the same issue.
My table header has 2-3 rows of data...the data is populated dynamically. The text fields are set to expand, so I have to make the subforms to flowed.
As soon as I set the subforms to Flowed...evrything overlaps on the second page.

  • Indiviual header row for a table

    Hi,
I want to create an additional individual header row that appears on every page when table gets an overflow.
Yet I was not able to add such additional individaul header row to the table. I only have the standard header row, but this is not enough for my solution...
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Anton,
I cannot use subforms as tables in Adobe Lifecycle Designer 7.1. There is no option to set in the HEADER subform the 'Flow Direction' to 'Header'. It seems there are basically changes form Adobe 6.0 / 7.0 to 7.1 that do not allow to use subforms anymore for tables...
If you have Designer version 7.1 or higher, old tables will automatically be displayed as new ones (information from SAP course BC480).
Thanks for your help and regards

  • Update Row into Run Table Task is not executing in correct sequence in DAC

Update Row into Run Table Task is not executing in correct sequence in DAC.
The task phase for this task is "Post Lost" . The depth in the execution plan is 19 but this task is running some times in Depth 12, some times in 14 and some time in Depth 16. Would like to know is this sequence of execution is correct order or not? In the out of the Box this task is executed at the end of the entire load. No Errors were reported in DAC log.
Please let me know if any documents that would highlight this issue
    rm

Update into Run table is a task thats required to update a table called W_ETL_RUN_S. The whole intention of this table is to keep the poor mans run history on the warehouse itself. The actual run history is stored in the DAC runtime tables, however the DAC repository could be on some other database/schema other than warehouse. Its mostly a legacy table, thats being carried around. If one were to pay close attention to this task, it has phase dependencies defined that dictate when this task should run.
Apologies in advance for a lengthy post.... But sure might help understanding how DAC behaves! And is going to be essential for you to find issues at hand.
The dependency generation in DAC follows the following rules of thumb!
    - Considers the Source table target table definitions of the tasks. With this information the tasks that write to a table take precedence over the tasks that reads from a table.
    - Considers the phase information. With this information, it will be able to resolve some of the conflicts. Should multiple tasks write to the same table, the phase is used to appropriately stagger them.
    - Considers the truncate table option. Should there be multiple tasks that write to the same table with the same phase information, the task that truncates the table takes precedence.
    - When more than one task that needs to write to the table that have similar properties, DAC would stagger them. However if one feels that either they can all go in parallel, or a common truncate is desired prior to any of the tasks execution, one could use a task group.
    - Task group is also handy when you suspect the application logic dictates cyclical reads and writes. For example, Task 1 reads from A and writes to B. Task 2 reads from B and writes back to A. If these two tasks were to have different phases, DAC would be able to figure that out and order them accordingly. If not, for example those tasks need to be of the same phase for some reason, one could create a task group as well.
Now that I described the behavior of how the dependency generation works, there may be some tasks that have no relevance to other tasks either as source tables or target tables. The update into run history is a classic example. The purpose of this task is to update the run information in the W_ETL_RUN_S with status 'Completed' with an end time stamp. Because this needs to run at the end, it has phase dependency defined on it. With this information DAC will be able to stagger the position of execution either before (Block) or after (Wait) all the tasks belonging to a particular phase is completed.
Now a description about depth. While Depth gives an indication to the order of execution, its only an indication of how the tasks may be executed. Its a reflection of how the dependencies have been discovered. Let me explain with an example. The tasks that have no dependency will have a depth of 0. The tasks that depend on one or more or all of depth 0 get a depth of 1. The tasks that depend on one or more or all of depth 1 get a depth of 2. It also means implicitly a task of depth 2 will indirectly depend on a task of depth 0 through other tasks in depth 1. In essence the dependencies translate to an execution graph, and is different from the batch structures one usually thinks of when it comes to ETL execution.
Because DAC does runtime optimization in the order in which tasks are executed, it may pick a task thats of order 1 over something else with an order of 0. The factors considered for picking the next best task to run depend on
    - The number of dependent tasks. For example, a task which has 10 dependents gets more priorty than the one whose dependents is 1.
    - If all else equal, it considers the number of source tables. For example a task having 10 source tables gets more priority than the one that has only two source tables.
    - If all else equal, it considers the average time taken by each of the tasks. The longer running ones will get more preference than the quick running ones
    - and many other factors!
And of course the dependencies are honored through the execution. Unless all the predecessors of a task are in completed state a task does not get picked for execution.
Another way to think of this depth concept : If one were to execute one task at a time, probably this is the order in which the tasks will be executed.
The depth can change depending on the number of tasks identified for the execution plan.
The immediate predecessors and successor can be a very valuable information to look at and should be used to validate the design. All predecessors and successors provide information to corroborate it even further. This can be accessed through clicking on any task and choosing the detail button. You will see all these information over there. As an alternate method, you could also use the 'All/immediate Predecessors' and 'All/immediate Successor' tabs that provide a flat view of the dependencies. Note that these tabs may have to retrieve a large amount of data, and hence will open in a query mode.
SUMMARY: Irrespective of the depth, validate
    - if this task has 'Phase dependencies' that span all the ETL phases and has a 'Wait' option.
    - click on the particular task and verify if the task does not have any successors. And the predecessors include all the tasks from all the phases its supposed to wait for!
Once you have inspected the above two you should be good to go, no matter what the depth says!
    Hope this helps!

  • Table Z does not exist in the database

    Hi,
I have created a Z table and modified the DataType from NUMC to DEC and transported to Quality server
and it is giving an information error that (Table Z does not exist in the database) then once again
i modified the DataType from DEC to NUMC and transported to Quality server  then still it is giving an information error that
(Table Z does not exist in the database) please help me out in this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jayanthumer,
Have you Activated (Ctrl + F3) the Table in SE11 before transporting to Quality server ?
Try to activate (Ctrl + F3) the table in SE11 of your Quality server...
It may not be imported properly into Quality server...
Ask to BASIS person about errors/warnings while importing to Quality Server..
Also activate all dataelement and domains.... make sure all things are active...
Once you activate it then it will create the table in database... till then there will be no table in database...
Hope it will solve your problem..
    Thanks & Regards

  • Licecache table missing Table MATRIXINDE does not exist in the database wit

    Hello,
We recently done a system copy of our APO system, everything went well. in case of Livecache there are 2 problem
    1) when we do the integration for LCA/LDA/LCA while we mentione the Livecache server it is not taking the host name , it is only picking the IP address of the livecache server. If we tried host name, it times out.
    2) once we give the IP address as livecache server  we can start the live cache server. Bure there is only two tables in it
    when we run
transaction Livecache Check (/SAPAPO/OM03) we get the erro i.e.Table MATRIXINDE does not exist in the database with ID LCA
    runtime error DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN
When we look into the tables there are only 2 tables in it
    AAPSYSNAME
    LCA_WARNINGS
when I compare with other system...it is missing a lots of other tables..
    We did re-initialized the livecache.
    Appreciate your help in this

    Hello Sudhir,
    1) Did you create the SAP ticket where this issue is reported?
    2) It's good to know more details about the APO version, liveCache/LCA versions on your
        source & target systems.
What note or document did you follow to do a system copy of our APO system?
    3) Please pay attention to the recommendations in the SAP notes:::
877203     Post steps after the Homogenous liveCache copy usi u2026
886103    System Landscape Copy for SAP SCM
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

  • When initiating an e mail to someone with several addresses used in the past the one I use most often does not come up in the first position.  How can I get these multiple e mails prioritized?

When initiating an e mail to someone with several addresses used in the past the one I use most often does not come up in the first position.  How can I get these multiple e mails prioritized?

We are talking about the Mail app, right? In the Mail menubar, click on Window and then Previous Recipients:
That eliminates the previous recipients. If you are talking about the suggestions because there are 10 people with the name 'Steve' in your Contacts, then I do not know how to eliminate those unless you change the name slightly or wait until you type the last name or some other differentiator.
