Multivalue error when using the previous() function

I am getting a multivalue error when using the previous() function on a dimension object in the report. I thought that the previous function was supposed to look at the current report and then look at the previous record's contents. How could this possibly give me a multivalue error when the value is clearly output in the previous row? Anyone have any ideas?
By the way, this is a valuable function for the types of reports that I design. The next() function would be even more valuable.

Could you please test the following solutions it might help you to resolve the issue.
Solution1:
Use slice and dice to reset all the tables that have #multivalue in it. The only problem with this workaround is they have to do the formatting manually.
Solution2:
Also, test the issue by changing the object to dimension if it is a measure or to measure if it is a dimension.

Im sorry I will try to be more clear.. and I appreciate all of ur input. Wi-fi works fine.. everything opens and functions fine on the I pad. The problem is I will click on app store or the I tunes store...it opens fine and I am able to look at and download apps etc... but after being in the appstore or I tunes store for a couple of minutes I get kicked out to the I pads home screen. Its like pushing the home button but I didn't. It only seems to do this when im in the app store or I tunes store. I have been using the chrome browser and other downloaded apps such as ebay just fine with out this problem occurring. Not sure about safari as I dont use it and use chrome instead. Um I don't think the home button its self is faulty because it works fine and as stated before this only happens when I am in the appstore or I tunes . I've only had this I pad 1 64gb wi-fi for a few days .. I got it off of ebay it was stuck in restore mode getting error code 1611. I was able to successfully Restore it with I tunes and it running ios 5.1. Seams to work great besides the problem being mentioned.

LabVIEW PDA reports COREDLL.DLL error when using Call Library Function Node

I'm trying to build a LV PDA app that calls an external DLL file built using embedded visual C. When configuring the Call Library Function node I select the stub DLL, configure the I/O parameters and select OK. When the configuration dialog closes I get the following error:
LabVIEW: LabVIEW.exe - Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because COREDLL.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I do not get this error when using the configuration dialog in the example VIs.
Any suggestions as to the cause and/or the solution?

When you create a PDA VI that calls a DLL, you must include the .c or .lib file that corresponds to the DLL. Take a look at these documents:

How do I remove an old username from the app store when using the update function.
I purchased my Mac used. The former owners username prepopulates when I try to perform the updated function on the app store. It does not allow me to use a different user name. I have created my own username and password. I have even been able to purchase items from the app store, it's just when I use the update function it does populate with my username. Any help is appreciated.

The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
1. You don't own another Mac.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
2. You do own another Mac.
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
Once booted in Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.

You can set any song to Skip when shuffling.
In your iTunes Library, highlight the song and right-click/Get Info. On the Options tab is the Skip when shuffling box. Select that and then Sync the iPod with your Library.

Intermittent error when using the Disco Viewer client

Hi, I have a user receiving the following intermittent error when using the Discoverer Viewer client:
“The application encountered an invalid state.
- Discoverer Beans XML Exception. Method: findNode Class: XMLUtils Error: Cannot find parent node. Parent element does not exist in XML document, looking for database_account/eul
OracleBI Discoverer Viewer was unable to find the necessary data for displaying the results of this event. Please correct any errors and try again.”
Any idea what this might be? Any help or direction would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

I did a search on your behalf and came up with nothing related to this error. You may therefore need to raise the problem with Oracle Support.

My name is Thibault. I am a technical communications specialist. I've been using Robohelp html for a couple of years.
I am working on the user guide of the software application developed where I work.
This is a HUGE project, more than 6500 pages.
We're two technical writers on this project. (This is an inportant detail since my colleague doesn't get the problem).
I need your help because I have been having an annoying issue over the last couple of days.
After the project is generated, I open it in the software, clicking F1.
When I want to use the search function I have this error message displayed:
"Stack overflow at line: 1792" or "Stack overflow at line: 1788"
Do you know where this could come from?
Furthermore, I noticed that this stack overflow only occurs on some words.
I mean, it occurs for the most used words in this project.
We have customers all over the world and over the last week, we've been getting a lot of feedbacks about this error message.
I hope someone will be able to help me on this one!

Is the problem only when you search for a topic that contains Flash output?
All my topics contain Flash outputs. I generate my output files on a folder that is embedded into the software.When in the software, I click F1 and the Flash User Guide opens.The search function works (or not) depending on the software version (32/64-bit).
At what point exactly does the stack overview occur?
We have two versions of the software a 32-bit version and a 64-bit version.
The search function works fine with the 32-bit version.
The problem occurs when I use the 64-bit version. When I type in a word, for example "unit", the stack overflow message appears. See below:
As you can see, it looks like the search function freezes while the stack overflow message appears.
And I never get this error message with the 32-bit version of our software.
I also wonder whether you can search on a project that contains no Flash output. Perhaps you could try for us?

As I told you previously, my Flash Player version is a 32-bit one.

UDESEncrypt Errors when using the JAVA engine (NW IDM 7.0)

I'm seeing an error when I use the uDESEncrypt function with the Java Engine in NW IDM SP2 Patch 3.
The error I am getting is:
runFunctionsInString($FUNCTION.encrPWD()$$) got exception
org.mozilla.javascript.EvaluatorException: uDESEncrypt: Key should be exactly 24 bytes long.
The code calling it is:

Alternative approaches,
1) setting key empty and it will look into %DSE_HOME%\KEY\key.ini
which should be C:\Program Files\SAP\IdM\Identity Center\Key\key.ini on default installation path.
2) or setting the key to something like = 6D5A2AF59B1CDD7F9592484F178331C891537A3F9B91D362
   a 24 byte key...
Also when using DES you should ensure that in Identity Center underneath Options/General
you have encryption algorithm set to 3DES.
Normally if you intend to use this for password provisioning in IC you would also
on the identity store (for instance 'Enterprise people') underneath 'password policy' check
of for 'enable password provisioning.'
By doing so the MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD with be set when operating through
workflow (3DES encryption version of the MX_PASSWORD) which allows you to obtain password
when provisioning to other target systems...

I get an 'Invalid Image Type' error when using the Locate Features. (Evaluation version)

I'm using the Evaluation Version of Vision Builder. I Simulate Acquisition using my own image (jpg), which loads fine. However, when I try to use any of the Inspection Steps features, other than Enhance Images, I get an "Invalid Image Type" error.

Vision Builder functions usually work with a certain image type. For example, all the functions listed under Binary (in the menubar) will only work with binary images. Likewise, color functions will work for color images and grayscale will work for grayscale images.
You can convert a color image into a grayscale by extracting a color plane and a grayscale image can be converted to binary using the threshold function.

Exec error when using the messagebox

We used the peoplecode function Exec in the application engine. We also used the function Messagebox to show the error message when the exec is error. But the system prompted us
Think-time PeopleCode event (Exec), but a SQL update has occurred in the commit interval.

Well if you have any SQL in your Application Engine preceding the Exec function that it will give that error. These are think time function:
Avoid think-time functions in the following PeopleCode events:
SavePreChange.
Workflow.
RowSelect.
SavePostChange.
Any PeopleCode event that executes as a result of a ScrollSelect, ScrollSelectNew, RowScrollSelect, or RowScrollSelectNew function call.
Any PeopleCode event that executes as a result of a Select or SelectNew rowset method.
Violation of this rule can result in application failure.
The following are think-time functions:
Calls to an external DLL.
DoCancel.
DoModal.
DoModalComponent.
Exec (this is think-time only when synchronous).*
File attachment functions.
InsertImage.
Object functions, such as CreateObject, ObjectDoMethod, ObjectSetProperty, and ObjectGetProperty (these are think-time only when the object requires user action).
Prompt.
RemoteCall.
RevalidatePassword.
WinExec (think-time only when synchronous).
WinMessage and MessageBox (depending on the style parameter).
You should process the execute function Asynchronously, because it doesn't require any user intervention (assumption since it's an application engine). %Exec_Synchronous should be set to %Exec_Asynchronous.

Certain LinkedIn functions are not working. Browser keeps on looping, for instance when using the search function

I go to LinkedIn and type in a name in the search box, for instance "Peter" and hit enter.
Normally, this will return with a list of people with the first name "Peter", listed according to degrees connectivity.
Instead the web site never loads the next page. It appears that it keeps loading the page over and over again, but with no result.
In the end I have to press back or use another browser (Safari) to load the page and use the search function.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

Use Command+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server. Any difference? If not...
2. Clear Firefox's Cache Completely

IE6 bookmarks aren't being imported when using the import function in Firefox.

It usually works better if you export the Favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

Error while using the validate function in SwitchExec

I have created a Route in SwitchExec for connecting channels COM0 and COM1 for a particular switch in SwitchExec. I get the error: (Hex 0xBFFA0001) Instrument error detected.
The same connection works fine when run directly through the LabWindows/CVI function panel.
Has anyone faced a similar problem?

This error comes from the instrument driver, not switch executive. If this is a driver you developed, I suggest debugging the driver using the simple application that does the same thing as the validation process:
- open niSE session
loop through all routes
- connect route
- disconnect route
end loop
loop through all route groups
- connect route group
- disconnect route group
end loop
- close niSE session
You can write this application in CVI, and use the debug version of your driver which I presume is written in CVI. That way you can step through your driver's SetPath function (which is called from NI Switch Executive) and see why it fails with the 0xbffa0001 error.
You can also reuse existing NI Switch Executive sample programs in C
VI to reproduce the problem you were seeing in the validator.
If the driver is provided by a third party, and you have the source code for it, you can try the same procedure as above, and then either fix the driver yourself or inform the original developers about the problem.
If the driver did not come with a source code, then contact the company that provided the driver with the way to reproduce a problem.
For future reference, when you run into a problem that looks like it is coming from the specific driver (which was the case here) it would help if you also mentioned which driver did you use.

Strange errors when using user defined function in where clause

I am having trouble with a function that, when used in the where clause of a select will cause an error if the first column selected is of type INTEGER. Not sure whether I am doing something wrong or whether this is a bug.
Here is a very simple test case:

You are from which module or working any 3rd party application.
MaxDB 7.7.07.16 is the community version of MaxDb,
we are not using it for SAP
and no 3rd party software is required to reproduce my problem,
Sql Studio or Database Studio will do.

I get the below error messgage when trying to use the Filters in the web application. I checked the OSS notes (932154, 902393 & 832485) but didn't get a solution. This is a query on a Basic Cube.
SQL 904.
Error in SQL Statement.
SYSTEM ERROR CL_RSR_WWW_RENDERER and form space GET_FILTER_VALUES_CHA:3

It worked for me, I dont for your case.
Mine syptom:
When filtering by using the context menu's "keep filter" and then filter by using a "Hierarchy Web Item" (based on Calendar month),
then I was getting the message <i>"System error in program CL_RSR_WWW_RENDERER and form SUBMIT_FILTER"</i>
It is solved by adding a "Filter Web Item" to display the filter values. If you dont want that object in your report, you can hide it.
