Muse published to BC - BC synching to Muse problems

We have a problem with a Muse site that has been published to Business Catalyst. http://www.parkerandassociates.co.nz/
The client needs to access the File Manager which by default with Muse is not enabled, so in order to allow this the setting 'Enable online content editing (incompatible with Muse)' in My Details was enabled. We noticed that if edits were made in BC (namely uploading pdfs and linking theses to areas of text in Muse pages) and the enabled compatibility was left on, when the site was opened again by us in Muse the ‘Merge changes’ functionality began to ‘unravel the site. It would begin to highlight each text box and elements on the page (none of which had been edited), one by one. In other words if we just clicked 'Merge all changes’ it would delete the entire site, one element at a time. Changes that the client made in BC were corrupting the Muse file on synching back to Muse. We told the client to make sure the compatibility option was disabled after changes were made and this seemed to fix things. Initially this stopped the ‘unraveling’ and we were able to continue merging the in browser edits with the Muse file, until yesterday. Now we can’t merge new edits without this problem arising.
The site is also using the added Blog Modules by Muse Grid Adding a Business Catalyst Blog to your Adobe Muse website
Any assistance or advice on what is going on greatly appreciated as we have no idea why this is happening and it's starting to look like the site needs to be rebuilt in BC and abandon Muse (obviously we don't want to do this).

Hi Grant,
The sync feature assumes that changes have been made using In-Browser Editing alone. Changes made manually are not supported.
That said, merge should not end up unraveling/deleting the site. I assume you mean it deletes content within individual text frames?
You always have the option to ignore changes per text frame. That would work so long as the manual changes and the in-browser edits were performed on separate text frames.
Also, the 'Enable online content editing' option does not affect the sync feature at all.

I changed the Preferences/Project/Start and End Preloader % to 25 and published the projects again. The course: http://kurs.dokker.no/captivate/elev/
stopped like before on one of the first slides, loading… screen like before in IE11.
In Chrome v. 37.0 the course worked badly, would not run, sound missing and buttons not working.
In Firefox 31.0 the course worked to a degree even if the program was advising to use another browser for this content.
In Opera 23.0 sound was missing and else working as bad as IE.
All this testes is done on a PC using Windows 8 connected på internet via ethernet, download speed: 66.57.
I would like to use the HTML5-format since it has a cleaner view than swf-files that appear to be jagged, but there is a lot missing before Adobe Captivates html5 publish is where it needs to be. Her are the complete html5 course and here are the swf based course for comparison.

Adobe Muse Problem

Muse stalls at 62% when uploading/publishing website. Solution?

I'm suddenly having a similar problem. Even though i have "only upload changed files" checked, Muse insists on uploading everything. Sometimes it stalls with an error about an image not being located on the server. I click Resume. I've had to publish a number of times, but sometimes it gives me that error for one image and sometimes for 5 or 6 and i keep clicking Resume.
But the bigger problem now it that even if I did choose to upload everything, My upload speed is usually many times faster than the 1-4k I'm now getting. I even rebooted thinking there may be a problem on my end and tried again with the same problems -- including the agonizingly slow upload speed. So I'm wondering is there's something going on at Business Catalyst. If so, I sure hope it's temporary. This is killing me!

Muse problems after update...

I updated my Muse CC application and after the update, I tried to open up the program and I received an error. Something to the effect of some install or update files didn't properly install and then I was no longer able to use Muse. I tried to re download, but since i had it on my system and the CC application still lists it. I just kept getting sent back to the CC window showing the application in my Apps list.
I tried rebooting the computer, but that didn't work
So, I uninstalled Muse and went to re-download, but the CC Window still shows that it's in my Apps list. So, every time I tried to re-install, the process would stop and bring up the Apps window showing Muse in the list. It is no longer on my system and I can't re-download to re-install and now I can't use Muse at all.
Any workarounds to get it reinstalled and working on my system?

Adobe Muse problem with the "pin" feature

I am creating a prototype under the tablet setup. I can't access the "pin" function for some reason. It won't activate at all. Seems deactivated. Anyone know why?

I'm a little weary of providing the url's as they are prototypes of a product not yet released and this work is being done as part of client pitch. I have been using muse as a means of prototyping our work to communicate with development and test out visuals, and transitions. This tool has been extremely helpful for me as I am a designer that has very limiting coding skills.
I can tell you that I'm not using a web font (I find the image output of text [not web-friendly] is pretty jaggedy) so I have been doing the majority of my work as part of png's as pages. Both sites are making use of the same png's output from Photoshop. They are completely one png. All assets are image files actually, which lends me to believe that somehow the web output of muse is rendering the images better than the desktop output.
re: Were the desktop and tablet layouts created in the same or different .muse files? No they were created in different .muse files.
re: Do they both have the same setting for "Convert opaque PNG to JPEG" in the "Content" panel of Site Properties? Yup they both have those checked.

Nun hab ich schon einiges fertig, zumindest die Startseite die eigentlich nur ein Bild-Link enthält wodurch man auf die eigentliche Home seite kommen soll. Nur hab ich wohl nun die Musterseite so verstellt das ich sie nicht mehr als Musterseite verwenden kann... wenn ich sie dupliziere und die andere Musterseite lösche ist auch alles erstellte weg.
Vielleicht kann mir jemand Helfen

Muse problems

Had a muse account, went to CC and now Muse will not complete install. Jams at 99%.

On windows 7. Uninstalled several times an then used Revo Uninstaller. Removed all traces that I could see and reinstalled. Same thing. Am of the belief now that my prior Muse Beta account is interfering with the install on the server side. Can you check or forward this to someone who can please?

Adobe Muse Problems

I recently a couple days ago installed Adobe Muse via Creative cloud the trial version because i wanted to try it out, and then when i clicked to open it for the first time it asked me if i wanted to update the program
given that i only downloaded it the other day i found that wierd, but i up dated it then it crashed and now when i click on it i get a message saying to re install the program or contact for assistance. Now in Creative cloud
it says that my Muse is " Up to Date ' and i dont get an option to unistall it or re-install it.
If anyone can help me out ! id appreciate it thanks.....

Muse Probleme mit Schrift bei der Veröffentlichung

Warum wird bei mir die Schrift "Abel" ohne Umlaute wie "Ö" nicht auf meinem Server angezeigt. Wenn ich auf BusinessCatalyst veröffentliche ist das kein Problem und alle Umlaute werden angezeigt. Bitte um Hilfe.

Was ich überhaupt nicht verstehe ist, dass CS3 und frühere Versionen von Encore mit SD-Projekten immer einwandfrei funktioniert haben. Ich habe jetzt eine Playlist mit den Kapitelmarken erstellt und diese dann den Schaltflächen zugewiesen. In der anhängenden Datei kann man das genau sehen. Ich habe mal eine Hardcopy vom BS gemacht. In der Vorschau geht alles perfekt. Auf der BD-R im Player klicke ich dann einen Eintrag an und er geht immer wieder zum Menü ohen das Kapiel abzuspielen.
Vielleicht hat ja doch jemand ne Idee. Ich wollte nicht unbedingt meinen Workflow mit DVDit von Sony unterbrechen, denn da geht es anstandslos!

Error Publishing from iweb 09 - Server or iweb problems??

I upgraded from iweb 08 (I had no issues) to iweb 09, and I have publishing errors more than half the time. Are the mobileme servers having problems, or is there a hack in the iweb software?
This is a big problem because I have 20 Gb of pages with video that I need to re-publish. It is bad enough that I will be tying my network up for 2 weeks, but that I often don't make progress.
The message is "Error connecting to mobileme, check network.. .." The problem is that it uploads for an hour or so before it stops.. I am double checking to see if my routing is causing the problem, but I don't think so..
Is Apple working on this? Are there numerous people who are now stuck re-publishing their sites and the servers are getting beat up? Does anyone know how to diagnose this type of problem?

Finally i solved the issue of Publishing Error in iWeb 09 with MobileMe.
Procedure which i followed and might also help you guys.
Lets say your default site name is XYZ then create a new site e.g. ABC.
Thereafter dragged all pages from default site XYZ to new site ABC ONE BY ONE.
*In the preference folder delete any PLIST files related to iWeb (i had two files in my folder).*
*Once you drag all pages from your default site to new site there after just make a new blank page and publish the site.*
Then start dragging first one page from new site ABC and publish one page. There after repeat all pages one by one and publish after every page you drag from new site ABC to default site XYZ.
Once you finish then take a backup in time machine of the domain.
There after start your blog page then publish again then start photos album page, publish again then your movie page, publish again etc because these are the pages which were mostly creating errors.
After you complete the final page and publish remove the blank page and publish again.
I spent 3 days with the same problem and finally i could finish by this method in few hours.

Synch and connect Problems after upgrading to latest version 7.6.1.9 itunes

OK... this is getting painful!!!!!!!!
1. Has worked for 6 months flawlessly....
2. Upgraded Apple TV to the latest update - 2.0 - new look and feel.
3. Said I now needed to update iTunes to latest
4. Updated itunes to 7.6.1.9
5. Apple TV still showing in iTunes. Went to synch - "got apple TV not responding port 3689".
Apple TV could still connect to movie trailers, youtube, everything,
6. Tried repairing iTunes 7.6.1.9 with install. Had to reenter Apple TV password. Showed in device list - still same not responding error.
7. Uninstalled iTunes - reinstalled - along with cycling Apple TV. Apple TV showed in device list - not responding still.
8. Verified firewalls - non enabled just for a sanity check. I've kept all firewall stuff off. Still same issue.
9. Tried Edit/ Preferences/ Sharing/ Share my library on local network. Nothing
10. Verified "Look for Apple TVs" enabled and mine shows in list. Still nothing.
11. Turned Airport Expres in Apple TV off. Cycled everything... itunes, Apple Tv... nothing... Turned it back on....
12. In Apple TV I synched to local itunes.... Apple TV now got fully erased. as I expected, but did not care just wanted it to synch to the new content.
13. Reset the Apple TV to factory settings...... It showed in the Itunes for a few seconds, but not enough time for me to put in the password. I've recycled everything again. For the life of me I can't get it to now show consistently in the device list..... My wireless works flawlessly browsing the internet. I've done netstat checks to verify the ports and everything seems as it always has. IT HAS TO BE THE UPDATES!!!
There should be no application conflicts, because this machine has only been used to synch my Apple TV, nothing has been installed in a while, except iTunes!
I'm about to bring it back........
Any other thoughts out there?

Resolved.
After verifying my network configurations, which was fine, I started to look at the services loaded on the machine. I noticeced BLACKICE running! Once this service was stopepd, things went smoothly.
I do still notice that the synch lasts only for so long and then disconnects the device. I have to restart iTunes to kick start the synch again. Still a little painful, but at least I can loat the Apple TV.

XML Publisher Arabic Report Display and missing header problem

We are in apps. 11.5.9 with English and Arabic language support.Even though we have all our data and reports in English we are in need of an Arabic Invoice report.
Since Titles cannot be typed in oracle report builder we decided to build the report in Xml Publisher.
Every thing is done to run the report in xml publisher but we face two probles in the final xml output.
Problem1. Header and footer are not displaying in the report.
Problem2. Arabic characters are not displaying properly in the report.
Here what ever titles we gave in Arabic are displaying good.
If I save the xml file and load it in the templete and view output shows the correct arabic wordings.
But when during taking the output directly from apps. then the problem comes. The Arabic fonts are not dispaying correctly.
Any Idea about this.

ISA 2006 with IPSEC and NAT - Publishing Outlook Anywhere - TCP Checksum Dropped 0xc0040031 problem

I am looking to publish Outlook Anywhere, with IPSEC configured as per (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=23708) to lock down Outlook Anywhere to
machines with internal certificates only.
I have the following infrastructure setup:
ISA 2006 SP1 - Server 2003 R2 / SP2
-Allows UDP 4500/500 and TCP 443
-Hosted on VMWare ESXi 5
Test laptop - Windows 7
External Firewall static NAT's from a public IP to ISA server and allows the following:
UDP 4500/500
Protocol 50/51
IPSEC policy configured on the ISA server:
-IP Filter List = DMZ IP of ISA server, source port any, destination port 443
-Filter Action = Negotiate Security, Integrity Only
-Authentication Methods = Certifciate Authority, internal enterprise CA selected
IPSEC policy configured on the Windows 7 Test Laptop:
-IP Filter List = External (public) IP of ISA server, source port any, destination port 443
-Filter Action = Negotiate Security, Integrity Only
-Authentication Methods = Certifciate Authority, internal enterprise CA selected
So far the following works:
I have a port listener running on the ISA server to mimic Exchange (just to keep things simple to begin with).
If I unassign the IPSEC policies, I can telnet from an external network on the test laptop successfully to the external IP of the ISA server.
If I assign the IPSEC policies, I cannot telnet from an external network on the test laptop to the external IP of the ISA server. I note the following:
-HTTPS is denied with no rule (an allow rule is present)
-Result Code = 0xc0040031 FWX_E_BAD_TCP_CHECKSUM_DROPPED
-The ISA log shows IKE Client and IPSEC NAT-T client traffic as successful.
-The event log shows main mode and quick mode as successful.
-The IPSEC monitor shows SA's for quick mode and main mode.
If I google the error code I gather it relates to the TCP checksum being calculated by the ISA server disagreeing with the actual checksum received. I guess this is part of AH. I have tried the following:
-Add the AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule = 2 on the ISA server under services\IPSEC and reboot.
-Add the AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule = 2 on the Windows 7 Laptop under services\PolicyAgent and reboot.
-Disable the following in the ISA server registry and reboot:
RSS
SecurityFilters
TCPA
TCPChimney
-Disable Chimney Offload via Netsh command
-Disable all Offload options on VMXNET 3 driver advanced settings and rebooting
-Switching to an E1000 NIC and disabling all offload options and rebooting
-Upgrading E1000 drivers from base version (2002 driver) to intels later version (2008), rebooting and disabling all offload options.
-Run a wireshark trace - cannot see anything useful
-Checked oackley log - cannot see anything useful
I still cannot get the 443 traffic to successfully connect without the FWX_E_BAD_TCP_CHECKSUM_DROPPED error and have run out of google articles.
I would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions?

please confirm that this is occuring with the lastest version, 1.0_01 of the JWSDP. if this occuring with the latest version, let's do some debugging. please set the debug level to "trace" for the RegistryServer as documented in:
http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.0/registry-server/ReleaseNotes.html#logging
and then examine ${JWSDP_HOME}/logs/catalina.out. look for the incomming request to authorize the user. the trace after that should help identify the problem.

Publishing Adobe Edge in existing HTML having problem in IE / Firefox?

I have integrated the Edge in HTML TD tab and it working very well in Chrome. However, it display nothing in IE and wrong in Firefox.
