Music video won't sync to device
I downloaded a music video (Born Free by M.I.A.) and moved it to my desktop for some reason and now, it won't sync. It's visible in my iTunes library but I can't drag it anywhere. I probably have to move it back to a certain folder, right? Do you have an idea where that folder is located?
hey there i jus recently discovered, all you have to do is highlight the music u want and drag it to ur iphone or ipad tab, ios 6 is just a beta, and it comes with common little flaws like this, but i just kept trying and i noticed it didnt have a option at the bottom of summary to manually manage music; it was changed to manually manage music videos, then i remember when the ipod frst came out we had to drag and drop files so i tried that and it worked, so lemem kno huw it turns out for u

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have been trying to resolve this problem for a month. My daughter has a 5th generation video ipod. When she updated her ipod all of her music videos were erased from her ipod. They remain and play in itunes, but wont transfer to itunes. There is a message that states some files weren't transferred to ipod because they are not compatible, but they are and they used to be on the ipod. Once again files that used to play now won't transfer and are being labeled as incompatible. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. We are about to go on a trip and having her ipod work, would make it a much more relaxing trip for me... Thanks
After my computer freezes itunes says: Attempting to copy the disk "ipod name" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to. It also says: itunes could not copy "name of a song" to the ipod "ipod name" because the file could not be read or written. This is after it synced all but 100 of my 800 songs and all of my apps.

Music videos won't sync to ipod?
I have a 3rd generation iPod nano, and its supposed to be able to play movies, shows, music videos and such. All I really want is the music videos. so last motnh I bought "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, and it synced and played that weekend but then when I plugged my iPod in again, it didn't sync it. it just took it off, I also bought "Behind These Hazel Eyes" by Kelly Clarkson and neither will sync. It tells me that "Behind These Hazel Eyes" cannot copy to my ipod because it can't be played on my ipod. and it says that my computer is unauthorized to play "Love Story".
I have iTunes, 7.9 I think. but I can't update it because I can't uninstall the Apple Software update, the file can't be found on my computer to uninstall.Sounds like you need to get itunes updated so the videos will play on the PC.

When the box pops up to run or save, choose SAVE and put the file where you can find it. Double-click on itunesSetup.exe and the install should run. -
ITunes converted videos won't sync to device they were converted for
I have two videos I'm trying to put on an iPhone and an iPad. I loaded the Quicktime movies into iTunes and tried a sync (why not right?) and I get the error "Some of the videos in your iTunes library, including the video "[title of my video]", were not copied to the iPhone "[name of my iphone]" because they cannot be played on this phone." Fair enough. So I used the Advanced -> Create iPod or iPhone Version option, yet when I tried to sync the files it created, they still would not sync, same error. I used the iPad/AppleTV option and was able to sync those videos to my iPad, though they would not sync to the iPhone. I tried using a 3rd party conversion software to make mp4 files but they wouldn't sync either (and happened to be about 4x larger in file size to boot).
So why won't iTunes sync the videos it CREATED specifically for iPhone and iPod to my iPhone? I'm on iTunes 10.0. Is there a format/settings I can use on my conversion tool to get a syncable file?
FYI - the original files are 800x600 (video screen captured Keynote presentation) in Quicktime, H264, Millions of colors, AAC, 2 Channel 44100 Hz, 24 fps, data rate 222kbit/s.Well, after several tries, even though I got the error message, the files did actually transfer to my iPhone. Still seems weird, but at least it worked.

My movies and music videos won't show up on my computer screen, I can hear the sound but not see the video how do I fix this? I'm not sure what to do as far as turning my purchased movie into DVD goes either. I just want to put the movie onto a DVD disc but my itunes won't even show that I have a blank disc in the drive, I'm not sure what is wrong or how to fix this, any help at all would be much appreciated.

I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.
Here are two links that I believe will help.

Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.

After transition from mobileme to iCloud everything seems working as expected, except from my music that doesn't sync within devices. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the tip...I just logged onto iCloud.com and the folders/mail are correct (compared to my laptop). This tells me the problem is on my phone. So I will try an erase/restore to see what that does!

Music and Video won't sync to iOS 6 devices
Hey guys, just updated both my iPhone 4S and iPad 3rd Gen to iOS 6 yesterday and I've been having a fun time with all the features (albiet buggy obviously), but I've come across a very frustrating issue. Late last night while trying to prepare all my devices so that they are clean and ready for today without issue, my iPad and iPhone's memory free space was quite vast. A lot larger than usual, yet iTunes was saying that everything was on both devices.
Well I checked and my iPad had NONE of my music on there. Well I searched around to find that the iPad actually had only NON-DRM labled songs in the library. Same with my iPhone. Well I was confused because of all things you'd think it to be the opposite. Well regardless, I wiped all music from the iPad and tried a clean install of all music, well that didn't work. I then tried manually dragging songs in and that didn't work. I then tried checking the manually manage stuff box and THEN tried moving music in. Still, squat. Nothing was working for some reason. Even directly moving stuff in there wasn't working. All of my Apps went in fine and my ringtones went in fine (yes, on both devices), but my music and videos would not.
Really odd predicament and it's quite annoying considering I use my iPad for part time mixing and DJ'ing for electro/house, dubstep and trance. I have quite a library I need on there but I can't seem to get any of it on there.
Though I did manage to make it worse. After wiping my music from my iPad, NOTHING will go on there. No videos, no music, not even the NON-DRM encrypted songs or movies. It's crazy. At least my phone has some of the music. It SAYS that all of the songs I chose to load on my iPhone are there, yet when I click to play them, my iPhone just instantly skips them. Don't know what the heck is going on and I could totally use some help.
On phone with dev support now and the lady I talked to wasn't even aware that the dev forums in the dev center were down and just checked around to see when they were going to be back up and I was told "in a few hours hopefully, or in the next 24 hours at the latest".

Why can't I get music videos to NOT sync on the iPad
So I have recently updated to iOS 7 on my daughter's iPad 2. Out of the blue, now because not before, all the music videos on my computer sync to her iPad. I have the include music videos unchecked under music. I have the sync only checked songs and videos on the summary screen. The only thing checked to sync under music is the genre Christian and Gospel. Yet, every music video on my computer are being pushed into her iPad. Most of the videos are not 8-year suitable in my opinion. Britney Spears new videos, Ke$sha, Eninem, etc... Can someone tell me how to get my wife's filth videos off my 8-year old's iPad? PLEASE!!!!

IPod touch 4G randomly deleted music and won't sync?
So my white iPod touch 4G was plugged up to my computer to charge like always. When I went to listen to my music it said there is "no content, please purchase...". Now the majority of my music is downloaded straight from itunes but there are songs I've downloaded from importing CDs to itunes and then to my iPod. All my songs are still on iTunes, so I try to sync the music back to my iPod and it says that all my music IS currently on the iPod, but when trying to sync from my purchased list (where some songs aren't on my iPod) it won't sync because it says "iPod couldn'y sync because it couldn't be found. I'm horribly confused and I really just wont my music back so please help!
- Reboot the computer
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Try another USB port
- Try cable
- Try on another computer to help determine if yo have an iPod or computer problem. Do not sync to the the other coputer, just see if iTunes sees it corretly. -

Turning of show all music. *with a power off
Manually deleting all songs.
Nothing works and itunes will not sync.
Most of the songs are greyed out when I show my iphone in itunes.
How do I wipe out all the music on my phone and start a fresh sync? Or second question, do I just need to do a restore?

New iTunes videos won't sync with Apple TV (1st Gen)
I have two Apple TVs (1st Gen) that have been working wonderfully. I've had no problem in the past downloading videos from iTunes even as recently as a month or two ago. However, after upgrading both my OS (10.8.2) and my iTunes (10.7) my most recent download (a series subscription) won't sync. I'm ruling out a problem with the Apple TVs specifically as it is happening with both. The message I'm getting is "[SHOW] could not be copied to Apple TV because it cannot be played on this Apple TV". This is the same message I get whether trying to sync the HD (720) or SD version. Thoughts?
You can re-download SD content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer, uncheck the preference to download HD in the bottom right corner.

Selected videos won't sync from Aperture through iTunes to my iPhone 5s
I don't know if this is an iPhone issue, an Aperture issue, or an iTunes issue . . .
I'm using Aperture, on my iMac, and have created albums that contain videos (as well as photos). Some videos are iPhone-created that I imported from my iPhone into Aperture (since iCloud/Photostream does not automatically cloud videos); some videos were created by me in a separate program (iMovie or FCPX) and then down-mixed to put into my Aperture album. I'm trying to sync my Aperture album (not Event, but Album) to my iPhone 5s so that I have an album on my iPhone directly mimicking my Aperture album.
The pictures come over perfectly, sorted by date as they are in Aperture. However, the videos have issues. Most importantly, only the ones originally created by my iPhone come back across to my phone, and in the correct album. Anything that I've created (Final Cut Pro X or iMovie) are not coming through (down-mixed as .mov files).
I do have the "include videos" box checked in iTunes; that only serves to bring over the iPhone-created movies, some of which it dropped into the synced album, some of which it decided to put into my videos album.
Anyone out there have any ideas what I could be doing differently? I'd like all my videos in my Aperture album to come across to my iPhone in the same album.
Second smaller issue is that movies I made on my iPhone 5s in slo-mo, though they imported to Aperture in slo-mo, are syncing back to my iPhone 5s in real time, not slo-mo.

iPhone: 5s, 8.0.2
iMac: 10.9.5
iTunes: 11.4(18)As a follow-up, I down mixed the video in FCPX using "Apple Devices" 720p. That did not help.

Uploaded music (CDs) won't sync to my new iTunes from my iPod?!
I have recently bought a new macbook air. My ipod won't sync without deleting all of my music! The music that I have bought from itunes is the only music that will be saved (due to apple remembering what I bought in the past) and I obviously don't want to loose all of my uploaded music as a result! How do I sync it without loosing my music?!

My iPod Classic 160GB has lost all its music and won't sync or restore
My iPOD Classic 160GB has spontaneously lost all its music - approx. 5000 songs. One minute they were all there, now they're all gone - display says "No Music" although memory still shows 23GB in use? I tried to re-sync on iTunes but the iPod won't sync (error 1415) or restore (error 1439). As things currently stand,my iPod is just a very expensive paperweight - please can anybody help with this?

i understand you have all your music still in your itunes library?
Try the basic resetting of your ipod,also try another usb port.
Have you tried ,when ipod is connected,click on your ipods name,for example lindsays ipod,another window should open up and you can see summary,click on the sync box ,bottom right hand corner,see if this helps.
Or you could ,when you have itunes open,click for updates.
